Hey guys! I'm a jerk, I know. It's been so long! I really am sorry, it won't happen again. Things have just been so complicated lately. Anyways, here's the LONNNNNG awaited chapter 25. so sorry you guys

"There has to be something we can do." Randy argued.

"Not really." I said.

"I still can't believe you guys are dating; it's so adorable." Alex cooed.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Alex."

Justin, Alex, Randy, my dad and I were all at my house, in the lair. The wizard competition was in less than an hour, and we honestly had no idea what was going to happen.

"It is pretty adorable." Justin agreed with Alex, earning him a fist bump from her.

I rolled my eyes again as Randy looked up at me. "I have to be with you Max, I'll go crazy without you."

"Well there is one way…" Jerry piped.

"What?" Randy jumped up.

"If he wins, he can always give up his powers to Justin and-"

"Ahem." Alex said.

"Or Alex…" Jerry continued. "And he could live his life as a mortal."

"But Dad… If I won I feel like I won't be able to give up the powers. It'll be too hard."

"It's your choice, Max. Let's hope you don't win."

"Yes." I agreed looking at Randy.

"You guys have an hour." Jerry nodded before leaving the room. Justin and Alex followed him.

"So it's just you and me." Randy smiled. "Let's enjoy ourselves one last time."

"Don't say that." I snapped. "We're gonna be together."

"Just in case." Randy looked at me shyly. "Kiss me."

I walked up slowly and pressed my lips against his. "I love you Max."

"I love you too, Randy."

I looked at him longingly. I was so nervous. I wanted to be with Randy more than anything… But if I won… It wasn't as simple as giving up my powers. My dad had warned me how hard it was. I'm used to having my powers; and having 3x the amount of powers inside me all at once… My dad said it was virtually impossible to give them up.

He said it had taken him weeks before he actually did because it was such a hard choice.

I forced myself to stop thinking so negatively and I cuddled with Randy on the couch until it was time for the competition.

Eventually the time came and I flashed Randy and I to the competition.

He gave me a good-luck kiss and he walked over to the viewing area. I walked behind the contestant table and waited for Professor Crumbs to start the competition.

Alex and Justin smiled at me, and I smiled back. I couldn't let them win, or else the magic transfer wouldn't work.

The beginning of the competition was simple. Just a few different questions about what certain spells did, and what not.

We were all three about tied when that portion of the competition was over.

The scoreboard read:

Max: 250

Justin: 350

Alex: 200

The other round of the competition was worth 200 points, so whoever won it would win the competition.

"The next round will be an obstacle course… Of sorts. You won't have any idea what's coming. Use the proper spell to get through each part and whoever comes out the other side first is the winner.

All of a sudden I was flashed onto a small island with nothing but a small boat.

And it was broken. Fantastic. I tried to think of a spell, but nothing would come to my mind.

Part of me wanted to just not try; but I knew if I didn't that Professor Crumbs would know and I there would be consequences.

I finally thought of one. "Fix the boat, fix it right; make sure all the holes are tight." I saw the boat fix itself and I got in it, forgetting I would have to do a spell to make it go.

"I need this boat to go; so make the wind blow." It was suddenly really windy, and the boat started moving. The boat kept sailing across the water before it finally passed the line to the next level.

It was a volcano. I quickly thought of a spell. "Make this volcano stop burning, so I can walk through it and win my earnings." The fire stopped and I ran and ran and I crossed a finish line.

When I crossed it, I opened my eyes and saw people cheering. No. No.

I couldn't have won. Justin beat me for sure. I turned around and saw Justin run through.

I… I beat him? But no… What did this mean?

"Max Pepe Vinchenzo Russo, I hereby grant you full wizardship. A flash of light fell over me and I felt an enormous amount of power flow through me.

It was literally the most amazing thing I had ever felt in the world.

I lifted myself on the ground and was shocked by how easy it was. It was just natural.

No way in hell I was giving this up.

But… Randy. Randy meant more to me than this. Right?

But this was so amazing. I couldn't give it up.

Randy walked up to me. "Well… You won."

"Yeah… I'm sorry Randy. But I can't give this up. It's just so amazing."

"That's okay Max." Randy quickly wiped away a tear from his eye. "I could never ask you to do that."

"I love you… I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I love you too." He gave me one last kiss and then he left. I sat, devastated.

Damn these stupid powers. Why were they so freaking amazing?

Justin ran up to me. "Max, I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault… I wish I could give up my powers. It just feels too cool."

"Everything will be okay, Max. I promise."

I leaned into his shoulder and cried.

So there it is. Sorry again about not updating. I love you guys, and it wont happen again; promise.
