AC: This chapter is finally done. Sorry if it takes some time, but just like in the series, I prefer the moment when there is no match. It is clear by my pace. So you can see why a few details isn't put and I decide to focus more on the battle thank the stats.
The final match of the series will be more interesting since it is for plot purpose and not a side event.
Marcus is an OC suggested by Thanatos's Scribe for this match.
Chapter 24: Match and apology part 1
Neth'uar was watching Gal'Drad at a safe distance talking with the member of his tribe. Gal'Drad was taking time to know more of his own tribe members since he might become the oligarch eventually. Gal'Drad was with Lam'inkal. Neth'uar didn't saw the Chaotic player which meant he was surely having a match.
Gal'Drad moved his head at his direction and Neth'uar hid. He felt like he was stalking Gal'Drad for a few days. He did that because he never found the occasion to speak with Gal'Drad alone and when it happened, he was too afraid to try. He could only watch him like a coward. He flew after then when they moved elsewhere and eventually, Lam'inkal and Gal'Drad were alone.
"How's Remi?" Lam'inkal asked.
"He's doing fine. He has a chaotic match right now against someone...I don't remember who it is." Gal'Drad replied.
"You know. I wonder what a Chaotic match is?" Lam'inkal commented. "We heard about it and none of us bothered to search what it is in the mind of the players."
"I've heard rumors that creatures might eventually be able to see it. I would want to see Remi in one of his match." Gal'Drad said.
"Right. Me too." Lam'inkal said. "You spoke with that family?"
"Nunk'worm wife and children?" Lam'inkal nodded at him. "Yeah. He's still assimilated by the danians. His children aren't over it. I heard them crying over his lost when I brought his name."
"Yeah. It's hard to pass near their house." Lam'inkal admitted. He looked on the ground.
"That's it. When I'll become the Oligarch, I'll find a way to rescue him, purify him and bring him back to his family." Gal'Drad said.
"I hope you'll succeed then. You know you can count on me." Lam'inkal said.
"I know. I have to go home. I need to sit down and think about it."
They each went their separate way.
Neth'uar saw Gal'Drad returning to his home.
"I have to do it this time." Neth'uar said. "No more cowardice. I can't let this continue."
He flew from his hiding spot and he was near the door. He raised his tentacle and he knocked the door. He waited for a while the door opened. Neth'uar saw Gal'Drad opening and when he saw him, his tail was on the ground and he glared at him.
"Go away." Gal'Drad said.
"No-" Neth'uar was immediately cut.
"Don't talk to me!"
Neth'uar said nothing, but he blocked the door with his tentacles. He tried to find a way to talk to him.
Chaotic: Crellan Dome
Remi finished preparing for his match and he looked at his adversary.
He was Marcus Fenway. Marcus was 5'8", has curly red hair, brown eyes, and wore brown cargo pants with a black t-shirt and a green army vest. He gave the impression that he was a military guy.
Remi checked his cards and his strategy. He put Gal'Drad at the rear. In front of him, he put at the middle right Vix'ben and Aval'par at the middle left. The front line was with Rothar at the middle, Lam'inkal at the left and Blak'drin at the right. He only had five M'arrillians in his team, but he still want to boost them up. He wondered what the plan of Marcus was. He checked his battlegear and he smiled about it. He decided to give the respective one to each creature. Remi watched his creatures and he was smiling. Each M'arrillian was one of his friends. Rothar was one of his usual creatures. Remi looked at his scanner.
Maybe I should eventually change it for one with the color of the M'arrillians. Remi thought.
Remi looked at the mugic. He knew it was useless. Most of the M'arrillian doesn't use mugic. He remembered to talk with Gal'Drad who explained that mugic was often used in his tribe. They just almost never had a mugician in them except when they are ready to fight. It was mostly for the safety of a reclusive tribe like theirs. Even so, they all had the ability to seal the mugician, which balance things out in a fight.
"Hello there." Marcus said.
"Hi." Remi said.
They were both ready for the match and only need to confirm their choice.
"So you are the M'arrillian lover I heard around." Marcus commented.
"I like their tribe and their population." Remi replied. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
"Lucky you. No one can enter in there." Marcus replied. "I would want to, but it's too much effort to pass around the guard and played Metal gear in the Deep Mine."
"Yeah. So, are you ready?" Remi asked.
They both confirmed their choice.
Infinitribe choose the location for the match.
The first match was a long one, it was mostly uninteresting. Remi end up victorious against Majjcan who attacked Rothar.
VictorR you can choose the localization for the match.
Remi spun the wheel and he waited for the result.
Location: W'id Forest.
Remi smiled. He had the average there. He didn't want to be cheating so he picked someone who could fight fair. He also saw he had a hole to attack his target.
"Lam'inkal attacks Al'lop!"
Remi became Lam'inkal and Marcus turned into Al'lop. Al'lop looked like a giant blue fish with orange eyes.
"Let's get chaotic!" they both said.
Deep Mine: Gal'Drad house
Gal'Drad tried to close the door, but he couldn't. Neth'uar stopped him.
"Gal-" Neth'uar was cut.
"I've forbidden you to say anything to me!" Gal'Drad shouted.
Neth'uar thought about it.
"You give me no choice. If I can't talk to you, then-" Neth'uar said.
Gal'Drad looked at him and he was confused at it.
"Gal'Drad! I sing to you since you didn't forbid me! I have something important to sing!" Neth'uar started singing.
Gal'Drad covered his head and he grunted in pain. He felt his voice resonating in his body, his tail shook.
"It's about one horrible thing I've done!"
"OKAY! YOU CAN TALK BUT STOP SINGING!" Gal'Drad screamed.
Neth'uar stopped.
"You are the worst singer of Perim, maybe even more than Perim!" Gal'Drad shouted in pain.
Aval'par landed behind Neth'uar with an army.
"Gal'Drad! Did you hear that?! There's a freaking monster somewhere! We have to-" Aval'par was cut.
"It was only Neth'uar singing." Gal'Drad said.
Aval'par and the soldiers said nothing and they looked at Neth'uar. Neth'uar looked down; he never knew he was such a bad singer. That hurt his ego, which was already agonising and meant that finding a female will be almost impossible.
"Seriously?" Aval'par asked.
"Yeah." Gal'Drad replied.
"I thought it was a monster; the M'arrillian eater." Aval'par said.
"I'm not that monster. He's not real anyway," Neth'uar replied.
The soldiers walked away. Aval'par said nothing and he watched them.
"Leave us be. I accept to speak with him." Gal'Drad explained.
Aval'par nodded and he walked away. Gal'Drad walked inside with Neth'uar. Gal'Drad sat on a rock while Neth'uar floated in front of him.
"What do you want?" Gal'Drad asked.
"I just want to speak with you. There are so many things that happened." Neth'uar said.
"Explain to me what you want to say and get out." Gal'Drad replied.
"I...I talk with Remi a few days ago."
Gal'Drad glared at him and he grabbed his mask and pulled him near his face.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY FRIEND! I don't want you anywhere near him! You will not turn him into a M'arrillian!"
"I know!" Neth'uar said, trembling in fear when he saw him glaring like he was about to crush him. "I was desperate!"
Gal'Drad pushed him away and he turned his back.
"What did you do to him?! I remember that when he came back, he was frustrated over something a few days ago! He didn't tell me anything!" Gal'Drad asked furiously.
"I didn't forbid him to stay silent." Neth'uar said before Gal'Drad accused him. "I wanted him to be an intermediate."
"An Intermediate? For what?!"
"Between you and me!"
Gal'Drad said nothing. He looked in his eyes and he calmed down. He shook his head and he saw back.
"To speak to me?" Gal'Drad asked. "You wanted Remi to talk in your name."
"Yes. He's your friend and you listen to him. You wouldn't listen to me. He refused and told me I should speak to you. I had no choice, but to sing right now. I just learn that my voice is horrible." Neth'uar replied.
"What do you have to say?" Gal'Drad asked, changing the subject.
Chaotic: W'id Forest
Lam'inkal swam in the water and he looked around him. Remi used the memory of his creatures to check where he could have the average for an ambush. He hidden behind in the underwater tree and waited for his fish to come. He looked around and he didn't saw him. He knew the W'id Forest was big and a little confusing.
Is Al'lop a Fluidmorpher or not?
He knew he was currently living in the mipedian desert, based on what Peyton said, but nothing more.
Lam'inkal raised his first and he summoned his battlegear. It was the Ti'dal Gauntlet. It was made of purple coral shell. It gave a 10 points water element damage boost for a M'arrillian creature and 5 point for the other tribes. It was the first battlegear tested against Vix'ben.
Lam'inkal saw Al'lop passing near him and his eyes shined.
"Frost Bright!" Lam'inkal shouted.
He threw a powerful wave of Ice that his Al'lop on the flank. It threw him against a wall. Al'lop threw a beam right at the face of Lam'inkal.
Lam'inkal grunted in pain and he shook his head.
"Iron balls!" Al'lop shouted.
Iron balls appeared and it hit Lam'inkal on his body. Lam'inkal raised his arms to protect his face and most of the balls hit his stomach, chest and arms.
"You're good Marcus, but I'll defeat you." Lam'inkal said. "Coral spike!"
He fired some spikes at Al'lop and it hit him. Al'lop opened his mouth and threw a powerful wave of water. It pushed Lam'inkal and he crushed against a marine tree. Lam'inkal put his hands on the back of his head and he grunted in pain. Al'lop sent a thunder attack and Lam'inkal blocked it with his gauntlet. He felt the shockwave and he grunted in pain. Lam'inkal swam closer to his adversary and he threw ice spikes at short range and defeat Al'lop.
Chaotic: Crellan Dome
Lam'inkal turned back to Remi who smiled at his victory.
"That was short." Marcus commented.
"Yeah. The gauntlet gives big bonus damage for a M'arrillian." Remi replied.
"I notice it. I lost my energy points pretty fast. I didn't even have time to use a mugic." Marcus replied. He then cracked his knuckles. "Next round will be different."
"Show me what you can do." Remi replied.
"Kepiaan attack Rothar!" Marcus shouted.
Kepiaan defeated Rothar by pushing him out of the hive. Gravity did the rest.
"That was one freefalling I did there." Remi replied.
"Lam'inkal attack Loderool!" Remi shouted.
The battle was also a long one. It was a hide and seek match and Lam'inkal was the one found and obliterated, exploding into code by an Lavalanche attack.
They were once again equal in their match. They each have four creatures left. Remi looked at it and he planned a strategy.
"Blak'drin attack Loderool!" Remi shouted.
Deep Mine: Gal'Drad house
Gal'Drad watched Neth'uar thinking about the right way to answer the question.
"I wanted to apology for what I did to you, but I know it will never be enough. Words are only words. I betray you and I'm getting what I deserve. Remi made me realise how stupid I was. He even has to punch me." Neth'uar said.
"You're lucky he was the one to punch you." Gal'Drad grunted. He was surprised Remi did that.
"I know. Chaotic player doesn't punch hard like any creatures. I've done something to start showing you how guilty I felt about betraying you. Did Bahrakatan spoke to you about it?"
"No. I haven't seen him. I was busy talking to the M'arrillians in the Deep mine and at the council, babysitting the four of you." Gal'Drad replied.
"Then my words will mean nothing." Neth'uar replied.
"He left a note." Gal'Drad replied. "He said: « That crazy Neth'uar finally stopped being the crazy-stupid type. He has done something smart enough to bother listening to him ». That's what Bahrakatan left on this message."
"Crazy-stupid type." Neth'uar grunted. He twitched his tentacles, but he stopped them fast. "He's right, but he forgot back stabber."
"What did you do?" Gal'Drad asked.
"I destroyed the danian parasite I collected. It is now impossible to turn a chaotic player into a M'arrillian with reverse engineer." Neth'uar answered. He looked behind him and he said nothing.
"That will not be enough." Gal'Drad replied. He still hated Neth'uar. His green body was a little red. Neth'uar turned around and he saw some red on his body.
"I know." Neth'uar replied. "I have more to say Gal'Drad. Can you still listen to me?"
"Alright. If it wasn't for Bahrakatan message, I wouldn't believe you and kicked you out right now." Gal'Drad warned.
"It's clear enough. I have to tell you how I felt after I betray you." Neth'uar said.
Chaotic: Shell city
Blak'drin ran in the city with Loderool after him. Loderool looked like a big furry Minotaur. He had long brown fur on his body. He wore some blue plate armor on his shoulders and his chest with a white loincloth. He wore the Supercharged Alterant and boosted is power attack.
Blak'drin thought it was better to run away until the effect of the battlegear wore off. Blak'drin was also in trouble since Loderool destroyed his battlegear when he activated his during the fight.
"Come on Blak'drin! Stop running away like that! Is your creature a coward?" Loderool shouted.
"He's brave, but not stupid!" Blak'drin replied. He turned around and threw some ectoplasm on the ground. Loderool walked on it and he slipped on the ground. He then slid against a wall.
Blak'drin jumped backward and attacked, taking the initiative.
"Coral Spikes!" Blak'drin shouted.
He threw some spikes at Loderool who was hit by a few of them and he rolled to the left to dodge the others.
"Alright. Lavalanche!" Loderool threw magma at Blak'drin.
He was hit by it and he flew in the water. The M'arrillian touched the ground and he saw the rock rising at his direction.
"Rock Wave!" Blak'drin jumped to the left and he evaded the attack.
Blak'drin raised his hand and he pointed forward. He jumped out of the water and he saw Loderool.
"Power Pulse!" Blak'drin shouter.
He threw some green fist attack and it hit the face and the chest of Loderool. He lost his balance and he rolled on the ground while grunting in pain. Blak'drin landed on Loderool who screamed in pain.
"You're so heavy!" Loderool shouted.
"That's the exoskeleton and the muscles, not the fat." Blak'drin replied. He would have grinned if he could.
Loderool threw Blak'drin away and he jumped in the air. Blak'drin landed on his four legs and he saw Loderool aiming for his soft flesh in his shoulders.
"Not this time." Blak'drin said.
He raised his arms and covered his shoulders. Loderool attack the hard exoskeleton and he crushed his hands. Blak'drin turned around and he grabbed Loderool with his pincer and finished him.
Chaotic: Crellan dome
Marcus looked at Remi with a smile.
"I got the average once again." Remi said, smiling at Marcus, having fun in his match.
"Not bad. Looks like Blak'drin was attacked on his weak spot before." Marcus commented.
"Yeah. I know how to counter it." Remi replied. "It's your turn now."
Marcus spun the wheel and he waited for the location. He then saw it and he smiled.
"Kepiaan attack Blak'drin in the Carnival of Confusion!" Marcus said with a smile.
Remi looked at him and he knew he was in trouble. Kepiaan had the speed average over Blak'drin and a few creatures to give him a bonus of speed. Also, he didn't know how Blak'drin will do with air attack.
They both transformed into their creatures and they entered in the Carnival of Confusion.
Carnival of Confusion
Blak'drin walked in the carnival and he looked around.
"What was I doing again?" Blak'drin asked. He looked around and he looked at his hand and his pincer. "Am I supposed to have a pincer? Am I a freak?"
For confusion, Blak'drin was confused despite the fact he was wise.
"What am I saying?" Blak'drin hit his head a few times and cleared his mind. "Come on Blak'drin. Focus. You can only use air attack and not water attack."
Blak'drin tried a wind attack and it completely failed. He flew backward and landed on a throne. The M'arrillian knew that he was in trouble.
"I have no competence in other elements than water. I have to focus on generic attack." Blak'drin realised.
"Not me." Kepiaan shouted.
Blak'drin turned around and he saw Kepiaan ready to attack him.
"Not really my round." Blak'drin commented.
