Okay, enough of my fangirl mushy stuff, (Cause trust me, it WILL get mushy-er, HAHAHA! Such a happy girl I am...) But yeah, hope you all enjoy this chapter, being I think Shadow will kill me because of it... if you see me at the end of the chapter, it means I escaped Shadow! BYE! *Takes off running to hide*

Chapter twenty five: Change in the Wind

I sat up for a while on the roof top. I sat at the highest point I could get to, so I could have a good view of the valley. After all my time of being here, I still didn't know the name of this seemingly quiet village.

Albeit, problems did arise here, and some had only come because of me, it was still a fairly peaceful village.

I looked around and spotted my quiet cave home, on the far, far edge of town. How many times the thought of simply running back, causing some sort of rock slide and burying myself alive in there had crossed my mind. The thought of hiding myself from the killer lions who were after me, and keeping my friends safe.

But I knew in the end, it wouldn't do me any good at all. Only make things worse for me and my friends.

After a while, I carefully swung my legs out over the house and leaned back, staring up at the sky. It was a nice sunny day, hardly a cloud in the sky, it felt like the perfect day.

But something told me it would be anything but a perfect day today.

Something just felt very off, and I was worried just what it might be, or what might happen to my friends.

I stared up at the sky for a while, trying to take my mind off of my worry. I knew if I continued to worry about this, it would only ruin the perfect day I had so far.

I laid back on the roof and tried to find clouds that looked like shapes. I did this for a while, until my vision began to cloud over, until everything turned black.

When I opened my eyes again, I could see Kato and Kasaru, standing in Kato's room.

Kasaru was now wearing a nice fitting red vest, with black slacks. Kato was talking to her, but I was to far away to hear them.

I slowly moved closer, and watched for a while, until Kato walked over and dropped himself on his bed, and buried his face into his paws.

Kasaru walked over and placed a paw on his shoulder, but he shrugged at her touch, and when he looked up, I could see tears on his face.

He looked over and motioned to the door, saying, "Well, there's the door..."

I gasped softly, wondering if he really meant he wanted Kasaru to leave us.

Kasaru looked at the door dumbfounded, then back at Kato, a bit shocked. "Do you really want me, t-to leave?" she asked, a bit sadly.

Kato looked up, his eyes a mix of anger and hurt. "Well, you said so yourself. You have to go. Though, I don't know what it will do to Shadow..." he said softly, as he moved his gaze back to his paws.

Kasaru slowly moved over and sat down beside him. "You make it seem like I want to leave her. I don't! Shadow means everything to me. That's why I can't stand seeing my mother hurt her like she has." Kasaru said.

Kato looked up at her confused. "Then stay! Your mother can leave without you, but stay here with us! With people who really care about you." he said softly, carefully meeting her eyes.

I tried to speak up myself, but the image in front of me slowly faded away, and was replaced with the clear blue sky, I had originally left.

I quickly sat up, gasping. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. It just couldn't be so. She couldn't leave me.

"No... s-she can't g-go!" I cried, trying to hold back tears.

I rolled over and got up quickly, wanting to go and talk to her, and beg her to stay with me; when it happened.

My back foot slipped, and I slowly fell from the roof.

I felt the odd sensation of zero gravity, and a fearful scream escaped my mouth. I bounced off the roof and flipped mid air, then hit my head on the edge of the roof, and fell straight to the ground.

I landed hard on the pavement, and everything was dark at first.

When I was able to open my eyes again, everything was spinning around me. I was laying on my side, so I tried to push myself into a sitting position, but dropped my head to my arm again, due to the dizziness I was feeling.

After a moment, I was able to push myself onto my back and stared up at the sky again. My vision blurred and would darken some every little bit.

I felt something hot run down my forehead, between my eyes, then down my cheek. I knew I must have hit my head pretty hard during my fall.

My vision blurred so badly, I couldn't make out anything, other then light color.

After what seemed like ages, that I knew was only mere minutes at the most, my whole body felt like it suddenly weighed ten times it's normal weight, and I felt my head tipping to the side, until the right side of my face rested against the pavement.

I tried to call for help, but couldn't seem to make the words. My lips moved, but no sound came out.

Finally, after fighting it for so long, my body and mind finally gave in, and my world slowly fell into pitch black darkness...

HAHA! I survived! For the moment... but hey, I'm alive, eh?! That's something! Now then, what did ya think of THAT?! Poor Shad, I feel bad for her, but hey, I'm just putting what she told me, so she can't complain, heh heh. Much, at least. Now, if Moody Shadow chooses to continue, then that's up to him, but there will be another chapter soon, and it HOPEFULLY will explain a lot of things about the part of Shadow's past, that I haven't gone into. Before the attack on the Kin-Do Valley. So, with much hope, that will fly well, and I will see you all soon! Later!
