The Voot Cruiser raced through the city, zooming past innocent bystanders with unforgiving speed. Why the ship was flying so close to the ground instead of gaining more altitude is anyone's guess. Zim was never the easiest specimen to figure out.
"So you were never captured to begin with," the Irken tried to figure out, barely paying attention to the streets in front of him. "Ha! I knew that Tak wasn't a real threat!"
"Oh, she tried to capture us," Skoodge elaborated, "but…"
Here, Skoodge's thoughts returned back to the restaurant where he and Gaz found GIR and Minimoose.
"No one's going anywhere."
Tak leaped over the counter, landing just in front of GIR and Minimoose. Mimi jumped further so as to reach Skoodge and Gaz. "Coming all this way to save your brother," Tak stated; "How pathetic."
She then snapped her fingers, signaling for Mimi to attack. The android grabbed Skoodge by the face and flung him into a table at the other end of the restaurant. It then set its sights on Gaz. The robot inched closer slowly, gaining speed with every step. Soon Mimi was sprinting for the little girl. Gaz backed up a few steps until she was right next to a table. Once Mimi was close enough, the human grabbed a chair and smacked the android across the face, sending it flying right into Skoodge, who had just barely gotten up.
Tak clenched her fists as she struggled to maintain composure. "Enough!" she screeched; "I will not be made a fool of any longer!"
Just as she said this, Gaz threw the chair at Tak's head, knocking her back over the counter. "You talk too much," the little girl remarked right before she and the rest made their escape, leaving the female Irken and her robotic minion in a dazed state.
Unbeknownst to Skoodge, miles away in the Massive, Tak's mind was focused on the very same scenario, as Dib demanded to know what happened to his sister. "I…don't want to talk about it," she finally decided.
"But after a…minor inconvenience," the alien continued, "I had no choice but to fake the kidnapping, and it worked like a charm. Only problem is I caught the wrong mouse. You were supposed to be traveling with Zim."
"Yeah, well, joke's on you," Dib, currently chained to the wall, teased. "I ditched him with an angry mob the first chance I got. They probably tore him to shreds by now!"
"Don't be so naïve. This is Zim we're talking about! Do you honestly believe he hasn't escaped such a fate through dumb luck by now?"
Dib hung his head down in shame. "No," he replied lamely.
At that moment, the lights began flickering as a loud humming noise echoed through the ship. It all ended almost as quickly as it had begun. "What was that?" Dib asked.
"The Massive has slowly been regaining power since you and Zim left," Tak explained. She turned to a large computer screen, which was now glowing at full strength. "How convenient. You see, Dib, this planet is the property of the Irken Empire, and as such is under constant surveillance. Now if I just bring the live camera feed up on the screen and… There! There he is!"
Tak pointed to Camera 8, where the Voot Cruiser zipped right through a congested street of pedestrians. "I've got you now, Zim," the female croaked; "MIMI!"
The robot immediately appeared at her side, awaiting instructions.
"Find that ship and bring it back here. Do whatever you want to the other passengers, but I want Zim alive."
Mimi nodded, shifted into its cat form, and dashed away, a carnivore after fresh meat.
