Hey guys!

Sorry for the Delay! I lost about 4/5 part of the story, because of my freaking laptop. so I had to rewrite it! Personally I liked my previous one better, as I couldn't remember exactly how I wrote it... But I know the first one was better.

But anyway! Thank you for your reviews! I loved them all! Still a happy Thanksgiving, though i know it's too late. And happy Holidays! ^^

Enjoy your reading!

''My mom's says it's okay if I go with you. As long as I call if I have to be picked up or if your father brings me home'' Robin told Danni as she put away her phone and followed Danni to her locker.

''Okay. But Tony's not home. He just texted me about an hour ago and he caught a case. He's not sure if he'll make it home early''

''A case?'' Robin asked, also confused. Who was Tony?

''Yeah'' They reached Danni's locker and Danni turned her lock to the right, then left and to the right again until the lock clicked and she opened it. As she replaced some of her books, she explained. ''Tony works for NCIS. He's a federal agent... or well a cop for the Navy and he caught a case this afternoon so he's not sure if he will be at home when we arrive. He says we can go to Mr. Gibbs instead. That's his father''

Okay...'' Robin frowned at her.

Danni sighed. She knew that Robin was confused. She closed her locker again and turned, leaning against it instead. ''Listen, Tony's my and Mia's foster parent. We were pulled out of my parents house about a year ago and have been in several foster homes ever since. Tony's the first one where it actually feels like he's trying and cares'' She told Robin. ''And no I don't want to talk about it. I only just started talking to you this morning. I'm not good in trusting people''

Robin thought this over in her head as she looked at the expressionless face of Danni. After a moment, she nodded. ''Okay. I can understand that'' She said. ''So if Tony's not at home we're going to his father's house?''

''Yeah, but don't worry they live next to each other. Their yards are linked. And Mr. Gibbs is one of the best people I've ever met'' Robin nodded again. They started walking, but as they reached the end of the hallway, they were cut off by, Tess and Wesley coming around the right corner. The hallway that let to entrance.

''Hey, Babe'' Wesley sing-songed.

Danni glanced at Robin who, looked like she didn't know what to do. Danni cracked her neck and looked back. She raised a lazy eye-brow. ''Don't you two have somewhere to be? Community Service or something?''

Tess reached forward. ''Why you—'' She was cut off and pulled back by her brother.

''Calm, Tessy'' Wesley said. He smirked at Danni. ''Tess told me you got yourself a friend. I didn't know you knew how to make one'' He leered Robin up and down.

''There's a lot you don't know about me''

Wesley snorted. ''That's for sure''

''What do you want?'' This time it was Robin who asked the question.

''Shut up, Bitch. This doesn't concern you''

Danni let her backpack slid from her shoulder and stepped in front of Robin. ''Don't you talk to her like that'' She warned.

Robin looked at Danni's back. They weren't even on talking terms for a day and she already had problems. She looked around, noticing that people had stopped to watch the confrontation.

''Or what, babe?''

''Or your cheek is going to be very close and cozy with one of the tiles on the floor'' She promised, she didn't make threats.

''What an act you put on. Being the goody-two shoes in class and when the teachers don't see you you're just like before'' Tess said smugly.

''I'm not the same I was'' Danni denied, stepped forward once more. She shook her head. ''Scratch that. I am. I just stopped making the wrong choices and started to make the right choices for a change'' She said, stopping right in front of him. Their chests barely touching. ''And guess what? I like it''

Wesley looked down at her with a smirk and chuckled as her eyes changed from challenging to surprise, confusion and slight hesitance. ''Are you sure you want to leave that behind?''

Danni felt his fingers slide over her hip over her waist towards her upper body.

''Leave me behind, Danielle?'' He continued. ''Didn't you like it? being with me? I remember you did. Come back, Danni''

Danni's heart was pounding against her chest. She didn't even notice her stepping away from him, as he followed suit. She only realized it when it was too late and her back hit one of the lockers. ''N-no'' She stammered.

''No?'' He repeated, and Danni lost all reason as she looked into his eyes. It was no longer Wesley. The tone in his voice as he repeated her denial, was just like her fathers. ''You really don't want to say that to me'' He warned.

''Please, don't'' Danni struggled against Wesley's grip. ''Let go of me''

''Please, let go of me'' He mocked, then chuckled. ''You're pathetic'' He hissed.

Out of nowhere Danni's hand came up and hit him across his cheek with a flat hand. His head snapped to the right. There were gasps from the by standers, but other then that no one did anything. Slowly Wesley turned his face back to face her.

Danni's heart sank as she realized she just hit her... father. ''Oh, God! Sorry! I didn't mean it! Please I—'' Her words were cut off, by the blow of a fist hitting her face and her head hitting the locker behind her. Wesley let go of her as she slid down the lockers. She hit the ground with a thud.

There were whispers, but no one dared to do something. Wesley towered over Danni, smirking as she pulled herself into a ball, trying to protect herself. He was about to open his mouth and say something when there was a yell.

''A teacher's coming!''

The group of teens split up hastily, walking away or to their lockers, pretending nothing was wrong. Though, it was suspiciously quieter than normal.

Robin breathed in and out and in and out again, as she looked towards Danni. She couldn't see her though. Wesley and Tess had surrounded her, so that the teacher didn't see her, as the Italian girl stayed on the ground.

Ms. Gomez walked past the hallway. She frowned, stopped and looked in. Nothing seemed weird. Little groups were talking to each other and putting or grabbing stuff in their lockers. Still their was something off, but she couldn't find what. After a moment of looking around, she shrugged and walked further.

Wesley and Tess, turned around as soon as the teacher was out of sight. ''Next time, it won't be just a black eye'' Wesley warned, before walking away.

''See you in class, Danielle'' Tess said, before following her brother.

It was then that Robin ran over to her and knelled down in front of Danni. ''Oh, my God! I'm so sorry. I should have stopped them. I should've told a teacher, any teacher'' Robin rambled. ''Are you okay? He hit you hard!''

''I'm fine'' Danni mumbled. She let Robin help her up.

''That's going to bruise enormously'' Robin commented, looking at Danni's eye, that was already beginning to swell.

''Wouldn't be the first time'' Danni replied. She pulled the cap of her hoodie over her face. She sighed and looked up at Robin. ''I think it's best if you just go home tonight. I will get a lecture at home. Twice. And I don't think I will be good company after this''

''Are you sure. I don't mind explaining what happened'' Robin tried.

But Danni shook her head. ''No. just go home'' With that she started to walk away.

''Wait!'' Robin, called out. Danni turned back and watched at Robin searched around her her back, picked out a piece of paper and a pen, then write something on it. When done and handed the piece of paper to Danni. ''Let me know how it went at home'' She smiled sadly. ''then maybe we can see when we will be able to meet for that math of yours. Or just for fun''

Danni looked at her surprised. She had thought that Robin would jump for the opportunity to run away from her, after seeing what had happened. ''Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow'' She said, and then did go out, to look for her sister who would be waiting for the bus.

Mia spun around at the hand that was placed on her shoulder. She was met with Danni, who smiled the familiar sad smile at her, that she hadn't seen in some time. ''Hey'' She greeted.

''Hey'' Danni said. She looked up to see their bus just arriving.

''Oh, My god!'' Mia gasped, as she saw the bruise on her sisters eye. ''What the hell happened?''

Danni looked back at her sister shocked, that her little sister just said that in such a tone. ''Mia!''

''Don't change the subject. Who did that to you?''

''I'll tell you when we're in the bus''

Mia looked at her warily, then nodded. ''Kay''

Once in the bus, Danni explained, quietly, what had happened. To her surprise, Mia didn't seem afraid, but rather angry. The girl had scolded and declared she would kill him if he even had the nerve to do something like that again. Though Mia was concerned too. Danni wasn't someone you could just punch and walk away from it. She didn't understand why Danni didn't tell her what she did to Wesley herself.

She they were on their corner to step out, Danni checked of her cap was still in place to avoid most from seeing her bruise. There were murmurings as they walked past the remaining teens in the bus, but Danni ignored them.

Gibbs looked up from the paper as he heard the keys in his front door. He looked at the clock and was certain that it were Tony's girls. He smiled at the thought that so easily slid in his head. 'Tony's girls'.

''Danni! Mia!'' The squeal from the almost three year old toddler, confirmed his thoughts. Mason was just running around the house with one of his Thomas trains, and was in the hallway when the front door opened.

''Hello, big man!'' Mia's light greeting was cheerful.

''Look, he's Freddy!'' Mason, introduced his little train.

A laugh, ''He's beautiful!'' Mia just said.

The two soon came in the living room. ''Hi Gibbs'' Mia greeted.

''How was school?'' He asked her with a smile.

She shrugged. ''Meh, as usual I guess'' She said.

''Mia, plays with me?'' Mason asked.

''Sure'' Mia smiled at him and let him drag her towards his corner

Slowly also Danni stepped into the living room.

''Hey Gibbs'' She greeted, sounding casually.

Gibbs narrowed his eyes at her. A little too casually. She was planning to just walk towards the kitchen with the cap of the hoodie over her head. ''Whoa! Stop right there Ms. Covelli'' He ordered.

She stopped and turned slightly, but not all the way. ''Yes?'' She asked.

''How was your day?''

''Fine'' She said too quickly.

''Anything you want to tell me?''

''Not particularly'' There was a pause, and she couldn't stand it. ''Can I make my homework on the kitchen table? I want it finished so I can have a relaxed night''

Gibbs studied her for a moment, but then nodded. ''Sure''

''Thanks'' She said as she turned again. She was almost in the kitchen, when she was stopped again.

''Danni''

''Yes?''

''Put some ice on that black eye, before it gets worse than it already is''

Without saying anything she walked into the kitchen, closing the sliding doors behind her.

Gibbs looked at the doors for a moment, trying to find out for himself, but realized that wasn't going to happen. ''Mia?''

Mia sighed, she knew this was going to happen. She stood up and slowly walked to Gibbs. She stood in front of him, with her eyes settled on her shoes and hands behind her back.

''Do you know what happened to Danni's eye?'' A nod. ''Did she tell you or were you there?''

''Not everything'' She whispered.

''But she told you some of it?'' A nod ''Do you want to tell me'' A shake of her head. ''Mia, look at me'' He told her firmly. Slowly her brown eyes, met his. ''Do you want to tell me what you know?'' He could see her hesitation so he stayed silent.

''She got into a fight'' Mia told him, so quietly, he almost missed it. But, he was Gibbs after all.

''Do you know with who?''

''Wesley''

Gibbs tilted his chin up in acknowledgment. He knew who he was. Tony had rambled about Wesley and Tess some time ago. Although Tony was speaking so fast, he had caught enough to dislike the young man.

''Anything else?''

''No. She didn't even say how she got him back for it! As if she didn't...'' Mia trailed off, frowning.

Gibbs seemed to come to the same realization at the same moment. ''Okay, Mia. Can you get Mason some juice?''

She nodded. ''Do you want me to send Danni back to you?''

''hmm'' He hummed confirmation.

Mia nodded again and then walked away. ''Come, Bug. I'll get you something to drink'' She held out her hand for Mason, who scrabbled to stand up, taking his little train with him, tightly in his other hand

Mia opened the sliding doors and walked in. Danni had books sprawled over the kitchen table and was writing, well no... she was scratching in a notebook and cursing to herself, with her left hand, while she held a ice pack against her face with her right. The moment Mia stepped in, she closed the notebook with slamming her hand along with it.

''Math?'' Mia asked her. Danni just nodded. ''Gibbs wants to talk to you''

Danni huffed out air. ''I knew he wouldn't just let it go''

''Trust me, when dad's home he will do the same'' Mia said, settling Mason on the high chair and walking to the fridge.

Danni mentally grimaced at Mia's words. 'Dad'. It was irritable how easily Mia said it... while Tony wasn't there. ''Right. Well, let's get this over with'' She dropped the ice bag on the table and stood up. She walked into the living room, again closing the sliding doors as she did so.

''You wanted to speak to me?'' She asked.

He patted the seat next to him on the couch. ''Sit'' She obeyed, but not entirely as he wanted. ''Look at me''

She groaned and turned to look up at him. Gibbs pulled the cap of her hoodie off and examined her eye. It was dark purple on her eye and under it and the side of her eye was red. ''He did quite a job on you''

''Who?'' She asked.

Gibbs raised an eyebrow. ''Wesley''

Danni growled low in her throat. ''You asked Mia, didn't you?''

''You lied to me'' He commented instead.

''No I didn't'' Danni snapped. At the glare she added. ''Technically I didn't. You asked if I wanted to tell you something. I didn't. I don't''

''You realize you're not going to get off this couch until you talked, right''

''I guessed as much'' She grumbled, looking down again.

''Danni... what did happen?''

Danni sighed. ''I was going to bring someone with me after school. A girl named Robin, who sat next to be in math class. We got talking and she then told me about how Wesley and Tess got arrested and got 200 hours of community Service. That was soon over and she offered me to help me with Math. When classes were over, she called her parents to tell them what was going on.

''We were just on our way out when we ran into Tess and Wesley. They both looked pissed off. I guess that Tess overheard me and Robin talking in class about them. We had some words and Wesley hit me in the face. A teacher walked by and they were gone'' She finished.

Gibbs raised both eyebrows. ''You're leaving some important details out'' She was silent.

''I hit him first'' She shrugged.

Gibbs now glared. ''Danni'' He warned her, not because she didn't tell the truth, but because she still wasn't telling him everything.

Danni's closed her eyes tightly. ''Can't you just let it go?''

''No'' Gibbs growled. ''Why didn't you go to a teacher?''

''Because others didn't either. I'm not going to snitch. We didn't even fight. I gave him a slap and he hit me in the face. End of story'' She went to stand up again, but Gibbs hand latched onto her arm.

Gibbs grabbed her arm and pulled her back onto the couch. ''We're not done talking!''

''Well I am!'' She snapped at him, pulling her arm out of his grasp. ''I don't want to talk about how I provoked it! How I flinched at his use of my full name and he turned into my fucking father, by doing so!'' Her voice was loud, but the crack in it too. Gibbs saw the tears in her eyes. ''How I begged him to stop, like I did with my father! How I froze when he touched me! How I didn't do anything after he hit me, because I felt like I was fucking nine years old again!'' She lost it and the tears fell, as a sob escaped her.

Gibbs pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her as she buried her face into his chest. ''Ssh. It's okay. Your father is gone and Wesley won't hurt you again either. He won't hurt you. Tony won't ever let him. I won't ever let him'

''My father is never going to go away'' She said into his chest.

Gibbs, stroked his fingers through her hair, trying to comfort the girl. He didn't know what to say to that. Because she was right. Her father will always be their to haunt her. Her mind, her actions, her dreams, her view on certain things and believes. He will always be there. And no one could stop it. ''It's going to be okay'' He could only say.

It took many minutes, be her sobs were getting quieter and her tears stopped coming. It was the same moment when he felt her breath in and out in a slow, steady rhythm. She was asleep. And he couldn't anything, but keep holding her.

''Let's go home, My little puppets!'' Tony announced. He couldn't stand to look at his team anymore. They were tired. Completely exhausted. They were here for since 4 in the morning and it was now almost 8 at night. They had been going for fourteen hours. On only 1 and half meal, too many coffee and with leads that only ended up with a dead end. ''Get a good night rest and be here at the office at 6 am sharp!''

Like zombies, McGee, Waite and David gathered their stuff, too tired to protest his orders. They mumbled something to him, but he couldn't understand what. Within seconds they were gone. Tony sighed and leaned forward in his chair, leaning his arm on his desk and placing his hand on his arms. He too was tired.

He didn't know for how long he had been there, but he was suddenly pulled out of his slumber. ''Come home with me Tony''

Tony looked up, to see Olivia standing there with a tea in her hand. ''I would love to, but—''

''No'' Olivia stopped him. ''You send them home for a reason. That same reason goes for you too. You're exhausted. Utterly and completely dead tired. I'll bring you home''

''But my car—''

''Will still be here, when I drop you off tomorrow morning'' Olivia promised.

Tony sighed, but nodded in agreement. ''Right'' He said. He stood up and grabbed his jacket, putting it on. He looked up at Olivia as she extended her tea to him. Though, he preferred coffee most of the time, he didn't protest when she gave him tea, once in a while. ''You're the best person I know, you know that?'' He stated.

She scoffed. ''I don't know about that, Tony. But I love you too'' She joked, but realized how those simple words changed, to be not so simple anymore.

''No it's true'' Tony protested her self-doubt. He hugged her. ''Always taking care of me. Seeing and knowing what's best for me''

She tried her best not to blush. ''Well, some one has to do it while Gibbs isn't around''

''Not the same though''

''How is it different?'' Olivia asked looking at him.

''I love Gibbs I really do, but it's different'' Tony said simply, kissing her on the cheek and walking away. 'Please, please don't make say more' His mind pleaded. The words had just slipped out. It was the exhaustion, he was sure. His mind wasn't thinking clearly. He wasn't doing this now. He had vowed to never do it period. Never talk about it. Never think about it. Never.

Olivia turned with a frown and looked at him. 'What the hell was that all about?'

Tony pushed the button for the elevator and turned to look at her. ''Coming?'' He asked in his casual voice. Olivia nodded and came over.

The car ride was silent. Tony had been pretending to slumber in the passenger seat. But really he was still thinking it. Dammit to hell! He couldn't stop now. And that was exactly the freaking problem! It was so perfectly organized. So perfectly hidden, so perfectly repressed. But no, he had to ruin it with his exhausted mind, that couldn't just shut the hell up and spill what made no sense to her at all, but perfect sense to himself to her. How could he be so damn stupid?

''Tony? We're home'' Olivia's voice pulled him back to reality.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked around, seeing they were indeed in front of Gibbs' house. ''Okay'' He sighed and stepped out.

Olivia looked after him, with the same frown as before. Something was off and it wasn't just the exhaustion. She would talk to Gibbs about it.

It was the second time in the late afternoon or evening when Gibbs heard the keys in the door. He looked at the couch. Danni laid there under a blanket. She had slept a little before dinner and fell back to sleep right after. She was emotionally drained, that he understood. Mia had helped with dinner, since Gibbs couldn't do everything. But he thought that he was getting better and better everyday. Still, it would never be fast enough.

Mia was sitting at the end of the couch where Danni's feet laid. She was reading a book for school. She looked up as Tony walked into the room. ''Hi!''

''Ciao, Bambina'' He greeted her with a smile. His eyes traveled over the couch to the other girl. When his eyes settled on her face, his smile disappeared and colored drained from his face. He went to her in only three strides, totally forgotten that he was exhausted or what he was thinking about the whole way to home. ''Wow, shit'' He breathed.

''What happened?'' Olivia, who had also seen the bruise, asked Gibbs.

Tony stroked her hair out of Danni's face, to inspect the damage, without waking her.

''Wesley, happened'' Gibbs stated, resisting to growl the name.

''Ho intenzione di uccidere Quel piccolo bastardo!'' Tony vowed.

''That wasn't very nice to say'' Mia pointed out, not looking up from her book.

''I don't really care at the moment, Mia'' Tony retorted a little more harshly, then he intended. He didn't see that Mia didn't seem to be offended by it. She understood his reaction.

''What did he say?'' Olivia asked.

''That he's going to kill the little bastard'' Mia stated matter-of-factly, turning a pace and continuing reading.

Tony ignored them all and stayed focused on Danni's face.

''Oh, Tony'' Rose whispered looking at her little boy, that wasn't so little anymore. Seeing him like this was heartbreaking on a whole other level. She reached out and gently tried to touch his shoulder. It surprised her that he tensed up at the touch. He looked at Gibbs for some kind of answer for th question in his eyes.

Gibbs in his turn frowned, before widening his eyes.

''Calm down, Tony'' Rose said softly.

Tony's heart sped up. ''What the hell?'' He whispered too loud.

''What is it, Tony?'' Olivia asked, worried about his sudden unreadable expression on his face.

''Tony'' Gibbs began, but didn't know what to say in front of everybody. For a moment it was silent. ''Go get some coffee for me''

''I can do that'' Olivia offered. ''Tony can stay here with Danni''

''No'' Gibbs shook his head. ''Tony needs to be in the kitchen anyway. Don't you, Tony?'' He asked

Totally confused about what the hell was happening and who the familiar but new voice was, Tony locked eyes with Gibbs, willing to read the Marine's mind for a change. But it was useless. ''Right. Okay. Be right back'' He walked out and to the kitchen, closing the sliding doors.

''Shannon?'' He asked, looking around, though knowing he wouldn't see her.

''No, Tony'' The woman's voice came through.

Tony snapped his head to the kitchen table. ''Who are you?'' He asked, like it was normal to talk to any ghost.

''Tony, you have to sit down''

''Why?'' He asked, but obeying as if he did it all the time.

''You do not remember me?'' Rose asked, a little sadly.

''How should I. It's not like it's normal talking to Ghosts. Well except for Shannon and Kelly of course, but—''

''Tony...'' Rose stopped him. He hadn't changed much. ''Sweetcheeks...''

Tony's heart stopped. That couldn't be. That was utterly ridiculous. Wow there utterly? Okay he was already doing that! ''Say something else''

Rose thought for a moment, then smiled. ''Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs''

''Shakespeare'' Tony mumbled. Her English accent. Her nickname for him. No... no nonononono... ''Mum?!''
