"See, the bus tracks were leading out to the desert. And what's in the desert?" I looked at all the ninja expectantly as we flew/rode through the desert.

"Sand?" Jay tried.

"Nice try," I said, "but no. What I'm talking about is a city. It's not just any city though. Can you guess who inhabits it?"

"Cactuses?" Kai asked.

"Tumbleweeds?" Cora asked.

"Nobody? Perhaps this is a trick question?" Zane tried.

"The plural of cactus is cacti and you're all wrong," I sighed. "Honestly, use your heads! Lloyd went down that alleyway dressed up as a what?"

"A serpentine!" Cole cried, realizing what I meant.

"Exactly. I've read about this city that was lost years and years ago. It was called Ouroboros. Now referred to as, 'The Lost City of Ouroboros' considering the fact that it was lost. It was home of the serpentine, many years, maybe decades, ago!" I explained. "Obviously, the serpentine have found it and are using it as a base, seeing as we discovered their last one." I made a 'hmm' noise, as a thought about something that bothered me.

"What is it, Ava?" Zane asked, always concerned for me.

"Well, something just doesn't fit," I sighed. "Why would Lloyd, of all people, follow the serpentine to a lost city that most believe to be a myth? He must've had a reason. And I'm assuming they discovered his presence because he hasn't tried to contact us at all. I'm worried."

We rode in silence after that. Arriving at the city, Cora and I had to go find a place to park our dragons because they were so large, so the boys went on ahead. Cora still makes me wonder what's really going on with her family, but right now, my biggest concern was Lloyd.

After we found a nice cliff and told Rory and Riptide to stay put, we ran over to find the boys. Cora pointed them out and we ran up to them. "I know we ruined their last get together, but that's no reason not to get an invitation!" Cole whispered, looking around the city.

The boys and Cora ran towards the center, as I yelled, "No!" because that was the stupidest idea ever, but I tripped and fell over into the cage with them. "I seriously hate you guys right now," I groaned.
