Wow thank you all so much for the fantastic reviews! I really liked the last chapter so I hope you all did as well. I can't believe that I am writing chapter 25 and that I'm almost at 200 reviews. This is my best story yet and a lot of that is thanks to all of you,

It had been a few days since Christmas and Eddie was moving her stuff into Jamie's apartment. Jamie and Eddie were laying on Eddie's bed.
They were moving Eddie's things the next day so today they were finishing packing everything up.
"Jamie can you just put my clothes into the suitcases. They aren't breakable so I trust you with them"
"Sure babe" Jamie said.
Jamie was following Eddie's instructions of each labeled suitcase. He got to her lingerie drawer and stopped.
"Hey babe can you come here" He called out to her.
"What's up lambchop?"
"When were you going to show me your new clothes?" Jamie asked with a devilish smirk.
"What do you mean?" Eddie asked innocently.
"This" Jamie said holing up the newly purchased lingerie.
"Oh that, who said it was for you?" Eddie asked
"Oh seeing someone else, I may just have to arrest you for that Officer Janko" Jamie said.
"Oh really"
"Yea, I should be the only one who gets to see you in those things" Jamie said with a fake pout.
"Well lucky for you I will let you arrest me any time you want" Eddie said grinning.
"Hmm, what about tonight?" Jamie asked
"No you need to preserve your energy to move everything tomorrow" Eddie said.
"You're killing me" Jamie said groaning.
"I know, but that's why you love me" Eddie said kissing Jamie.
He kissed her back and pulled her into a big hug.
"I love when you hug me like that" Eddie said looking up at him.
"I know you, I like having you in my arms" Jamie said kissing her head.
Jamie stood there hugging her. He thought something was wrong but wasn't sure.
"Babe is everything ok?" Jamie asked.
"Yea why?" Eddie asked.
"You just seem off" Jamie said.
"I guess I'm still processing everything" Eddie said.
"Hey why don't we sit" Jamie said leading her to the bed.
"I don't know. I just always figured no one would ever want to live with me and love me" Eddie said.
"Well lucky for you I do. Why did you think that?"
"After my dad, it seemed like I had the Scarlet A on me and no one would ever love me"
"Lucky for you, you won me over" Jamie said
"Lucky for you that you got someone as amazing as me" Eddie said smiling. There was something about Jamie that no matter what she was feeling, he could always cheer her up.
"There's the sassy Eddie that I love" Jamie said.
"She's always there"
"Sometimes serious Eddie is good too. Serious Eddie usually lets me into her past more, and usually tells me what is wrong" Jamie said.
"Good I'm glad" Eddie said.
"I'm happy you're moving in, now that we aren't partners we don't see each other every day if we have opposite shifts"
"I know it's the downside to falling in love with your partner" Eddie said.
"But there are a lot of upsides too" Jamie said .
"That is true" Eddie said kissing Jamie.
They finished packing, ate dinner and went to sleep.
The next day they were back at Eddie's to move everything into Jamie's.
"Really, how the hell do you have this much stuff?" Jamie asked
"I like clothes" Eddie said looking around at all of the boxes and suitcases of clothes.
"I can see that, as well as shoes and accessories and every material item you can buy"
"Oh like you have the perfect amount of everything" Eddie said.
"I have you"
"I'm really glad I'm moving in"
"Me too, you practically live at my place anyway. Now you can call it home too" Jamie said kissing her.
They started making out. They both forgot that Danny, Jack, Sean, Frank and Renzulli were there helping them move.
Jack walked into the room and saw them laying on the bed making out.
"Gross dad, they are making out" Jack said running out of the room.
Danny and Renzulli walked into the bedroom.
"Ok Romeo and Juliet, I'm not wasting my day off so you two knuckleheads can make out while we move all Janko's stuff"
"Sorry Sarge" They both said getting up.
Jamie and Eddie both blushed as they were walking back to the living room.
"Eddie are you sure that you want to use the storage unit and not our garage. We don't mind. It's fairly empty" Frank said.
"I don't want to impose" Eddie said.
"We don't mind" Frank said happily.
Eddie finally agreed to store the rest of her stuff in Frank's garage instead of a storage unit.
"Is that everything babe" Jamie asked.
They had been loading boxes and suitcases into the moving truck all morning and afternoon.
"Yea it is" Eddie said. She grabbed Jamie's hand and wanted to walk around one more time with him.
They walked through and reminisced over the last year.
They walked back into the living room and Jamie pulled Eddie into a stop.
"I remember the first time I came here was when you were attacked" Jamie said wrapping his arms around Eddie.
"Yea, not one of my fondest memories"
"You tried lying to me and I just remember when I saw you beaten up I wanted to throttle the guy that did that to you" Jamie said.
"I'm glad I had you to help me through it, even if I did push you away at first"
"I always have your back, never forget" Jamie said resting his head on Eddie's shoulder.
"And I always have yours" Eddie said turning around to kiss him.
They were standing there when Danny walked in.
"You two ready?" he asked.
"Eddie you ready?" Jamie asked knowing that she would miss her cozy apartment.
"Yea, yea I am" Eddie said.
She grabbed her purse. They are left, she shut the light off, grabbed Jamie's hand and shut the door.
Danny had to take Jack and Sean to their hockey game so it was just Frank, Eddie, Jamie and Renzulli to unload everything.
"Ya know kid, you owe me" Tony said unloading boxes from the moving van.
"I already paid you in two years of patrol with me" Jamie said smirking.
"Oh so that's how you want to do this then" Tony said.
"Yea such wonderful times" Tony said sarcastically.
"Sargent Regzulli are you saying that Officer Reagan did not perform his job properly" Frank said with that teasing look in his eye.
"Of course not Commissioner" Tony said laughing.
"How about less picking on Jamie and more moving boxes" Jamie said with an exasperated sigh.
"Cool it grumpy pants" Eddie said slapping his butt as she passed.
"Little Miss Chipper is moving in" Jamie said sarcastically.
"Janko how did you put up with him?" Tony asked.
"It wasn't easy Sarge, it wasn't easy" Eddie said laughing.
"I'm happy you both finally came to your senses. I was getting close to separating you two thinking that maybe you would act of your romantic feelings for each other"
"Such a romantic Sarge" Jamie said
"My wife would disagree" Tony said laughing
"I will help you out" Jamie said
"Whose gonna help you" Eddie said
"You" Jamie said matter of factly.
"You think your cute" Eddie said to Jamie. "He thinks he's cute" Eddie said to Tony.
"So he does" Tony said laughing.
They unloaded the rest of Eddie's stuff and Jamie and Eddie started to unpack it.
"What do you say that we take a break and head over to my house, Pop is making stew. Tony you are welcome to join also" Frank said
"Thank you Commissioner but we are going to my wife's sister's house for a birthday party for my niece. Tell Henry I said he owes me another dinner" Tony said.
"I will be sure to inform him" Frank said laughing.
"Thanks for helping today Sarge" Jamie said shaking his hand.
"Thanks Sarge, we couldn't have done it with out you" Eddie said hugging him.
Outside of the precinct the three of them were really good friends and although they called him Sarge, there was no rank and file between them. Inside the precinct they knew that he was not their friend but he was their ally and the man in charge. They knew the line and they never crossed it in work, they valued Tony's knowledge and experience and knew that he offered a lot of wisdom when it came to the job.
Jamie and Eddie headed back over to Frank and Henrys for some dinner.
"Hey Grandpa thanks for making dinner for us" Jamie said
"We really appreciate it" Eddie said giving him a kiss.
"Anytime, I love cooking" Henry said.
"Smells delicious Pop" Frank said.
They set the table and sat down. Henry said grace and they started to eat.
"So Eddie are you all unpacked?" Henry asked.
"Almost, just need a little more room for clothes and shoes"
"Of course you do" Jamie said laughing.
A few days later was New Year's Eve. Unfortunately both Eddie and Jamie had to work.
"I wish we were spending tonight together" Eddie said to Jamie as they walked into the precinct.
"We are, we will be in the same location just with a trillion other people" Jamie said referencing them both being on the New Year's Eve Time Square patrol.
"Sarge couldn't you get two cops who aren't in love to work tonight?" Eddie asked Tony.
"I did, I'm not in love with Reagan and I hope your not in love with McKenna" Tony said smirking.
"You're funny" Eddie said sarcastically.
"Ready to roll?" Tony asked Reagan
"Yup" Jamie said.
He walked over to Eddie.
"5,4,3,2,1 Happy New Year Babe" Jamie said kissing her.
"It's gotta be the new year somewhere at the moment right?" Edide asked kissing Jamie.
"Right" Jamie said.
"Be safe lamb chop" Eddie said giving Jamie one last hug.
"You too babe" Jamie said.
Jamie and Tony headed out and McKenna and Eddie headed out.
Jamie and Tony headed out to Times Square.
"I don't understand why people wait here in the freezing cold, I'd much rather watch it from my couch on the TV instead of freezing my balls off" Tony said.
"Yea, it makes no sense. It's not like people just show up either, they wait outside all day"
"Crazy, these people are crazy" Tony said.
They got their coffee and started walking around in their patrol sector.
"So is Janko all moved in?" Tony asked.
"Yea she is settling in nicely. I think I need to buy the apartment next to me so she has more closet space. For wearing a uniform everyday, she has a lot of clothes and shoes" Jamie said.
"Get use to it, they never get rid of those clothes and shoes they only ever add to it"
"Oh great" Jamie said rolling his eyes.
They patrolled their area and the closer it was getting to midnight the more fights they had to break up.
"Who knew that so many people needed to find their ex's on New Year's Eve" Jamie said.
"Good thing Sydney and that lawyer girl that made Eddie jealous aren't here" Tony said laughing.
"Shut up Sarge" Jamie said laughing.
"You and Eddie going strong?"
"Yea we are. I still miss having her as my partner" Jamie said
Tony gave him a look and he continued. "Not that I don't like being back with you Sarge but Eddie is easier on the eyes" Jamie said grinning.
"Sorry I'm not pretty enough for you Reagan"
"Ah Sarge you're pretty like farm animal"
"I'm gonna ignore that since this is the first New Year's that you have actually had a girl friend in 5 years and your spending it working"
"Oh yea I'd much rather break up drunken fights while freezing my ass off instead of kissing Eddie at midnight"
"Don't get any ideas with me" Tony said giving Jamie his your good but not as good as me grin.
"That's just wrong on so many levels" Jamie said laughing.
All of a sudden they heard a commotion.
"Nope I'm gonna do It" A voice shouted.
"NYPD backup" Jamie yelled
"Make a hole" Tony yelled
They ran over to see a man yelling with what looked like some family or friends and holding a gun. Tony and Jamie went over to the man and tried to talk to him.
"Sir what's wrong" Renzulli asked.
"I'm gonna do it?" the man yelled.
"Do what?" Jamie asked
"Kill myself"
"Why sir?" Tony asked.
"This year isn't going to be any better than last so what's the point" The distraught man said.
"You don't want to do that. It won't make things better?" Jamie said.
"How do you know?"
"Why don't you tell us your name?" Tony asked and Jamie called for backup.
"There's no point"
"My name is Tony and this is Jamie"
"Cooper"
"Alright Cooper why don't you give me you gun and we can talk about this" Jamie said.
"No, no I can't"
"Yes you can, we can help you" Jamie said.
"Trust my partner on this one, he's good at helping people" Tony said.
"I just don't know what to do"
"It's ok, we can help you" Jami said.
The man finally lowered his arm and Tony grabbed the gun.
"See you are already making good decisions" Jamie said.
They were able to get Cooper away from the rest of the crowd. They called it in and other uniforms came and picked him up and took him to the hospital.
"Saving a life is a good way to end the year" Jamie said, he looked at his watch and realized that it was 5 of 12.
"Yea, it's a good way to end the year" Tony said.
"Come on we gotta walk kid" Tony said.
Jamie followed Renzulli but he wasn't sure why they were walking out of their assigned section.
"Sarge where are we going?" Jamie asked.
"It's ok" Tony said.
It was one minuet till midnight and Jamie then spotted Eddie.
"Sarge?" Jamie asked surprised.
"Well I don't plan on kissing you when the ball drops. McKenna and I worked it out so that we could be in the same section"
Eddie ran over to Jamie.
"Thanks Sarge, McKenna told me it was your idea"
"Well don't tell anyone else but you two are my favorite cops and I thought that you should be able to see each other at midnight"
"Thanks Sarge" Jamie said.
All of a sudden everyone started counting down.
"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,"
Right on cue Eddie and Jamie kissed each other.
"Happy New Year" Eddie said to Jamie.
"Happy New Year babe" Jamie said
They were standing and Jamie has his right arm around her and Eddie had her left arm holding on tight.
They kissed a few more times before Rezulli and McKenna walked over.
"Ok love birds back to work" Tony said.
"Thanks Sarge" They both said.
"Be carful, I will see you back at the precinct" Eddie said kissing Jamie one more time.
He hugged Eddie and told her to be careful as well.
Jamie and Tony took off back to their assigned spot and Eddie and McKenna did the same thing.
I hope everyone liked it! I know it's probably not realistic but it's my story so I can write what ever I want to.
