AN: So I hope ya'll don't hate me too much. This isn't the typical baby thing. I promise. Happy isn't a total ass. Again, I promise. And to answer the question why was she drinking if she knew she was preggers is that she didn't know until she got the results the morning. I had to re-type the whole chapter and forgot the part where she received the call from the doctor confirming. Thank you to arowley for pointing out that really bad mistake. Also, I apologize for this being such a short chapter

Madison was walking in to the office of the shelter, a large smile on her face. True to her word, she had told everyone about her baby after the event, where they raised almost three thousand dollars and enough food and toys to last them three months. It had already been two since the event and she now had a little baby bump. Madison was even working in Lucas's new shop. She had hired two people to take care of most of the shop as he had instructed her to do. She was going to be able to find out the gender of the baby at her appointment that day and she was nervous. Everyone was dying to find out, anxious to begin buying gifts and things for the little girl or boy. "Hey Ryi, ready to go?" Madison grabbed her purse from the locker behind the desk Tanya usually sat behind. Mariah looked up and bit her lip.

"Um actually someone else is taking you." She pointed behind Madison. Maddie turned and saw Jax smiling at her.

"Hey, what are you doing here?"She leaned in and gave him a hug. It's not that she wasn't happy he was there but she hadn't heard from him in two weeks.

"I knew today was your appointment and Tia said the shelter was booming with recent adoptions and she sounded really busy so I figured it'd be a little easier if Tara and I took you." He smiled and she damn near melted. She had forgotten how sweet Jax and Tara and everyone could be. Any disappointment she had when Mariah said she wasn't going was gone.

"Wait, really? You didn't come all the way here just to bring me to this appointment right?" She slid the strap of her purse on to her shoulder and crossed her arms.

"Nah, I miss you." Maddie rolled her eyes.

"I missed you too."

"Now let's get going. Tara is waiting in the car for us and if I am correct, we only have a half hour until your appointment." Madison followed Jax to the car where the three of them talked about Charming for a few minutes before Maddie and Tara began gushing about the baby. Sitting in the waiting room felt like forever. Jax occupied himself with a magazine or two and Tara held on to Maddie's hand as bounced her knee. Madison almost snapped at the few women that tossed dirty looks at the biker but Tara calmed her down. Finally her name was called and Tara went into the room with Madison, Jax saying he'd wait.

The room was chilly as Madison lay back on the awkward table. The paper beneath her crinkled as she tried to lay comfortably.

"Good afternoon Miss James. How are we today and is this your sister?" The doctor asked walking in the room and pulling on gloves.

"I'm good. Not feeling sick anymore. No leg cramps or swollen feet. Um, yea. I'd like to think she is. " Madison smiled at Tara who squeezed her hand.

"Good, good. Are you ready to find out what you are having?" Maddie nodded and lifted her shirt to expose her belly. The doctor spread the cool jelly on her stomach and began moving the probe along her stomach. All sets of eyes were on the screen as a blurry image of a baby began to show. Everything was in a weird black and white and looked a bit like static on a tv. The doctor moved the contraption around a bit, pointing out little things like the face or a leg. Stopping on one spot she smiled. "Well it does not have a penis." Madison's eyes filled with tears.

"I have a baby girl?" Madison asked, her eyes not leaving the screen which still held the image of her daughter.

"Yes you do. I'll print a picture for you." The doctor hit a few buttons and removed the probe from Madison's stomach. Wiping off the jelly, Maddie pulled her shirt down and smiled at Tara who had tears in her eyes too.

"I have a daughter." She whispered. Madison was pulled into a hug where the two women cried a little at the beautiful event. Madison was handed a picture and the two quietly left the room to find Jax reading a Teen People magazine. He looked up and saw the too red, puffy eyed women and tossed the magazine down to rush over to them.

"Everything okay?" He asked.

"Yes everything was fine. It's a girl." Madison smiled. Jax shared a look with Tara that Maddie did not notice and the three headed out to the car. Madison sat quietly in the passenger seat gazing at the little print out of her daughter. She could hear the two upfront talking but she didn't make out a word. She was too caught up in finally knowing what she was carrying. Names were flying though her head.

Arriving at Villalobos Madison headed to her car, agreeing that she would meet with the two later for dinner along with the Torres family. She felt exhausted and needed a nap desperately. The apartment was quiet and dark as the sun had already begun to set. Madison happily made her way through the apartment, clutching the picture close to her. Opening the bedroom door she suddenly felt the worst pain in her head. Gripping the doorframe she raised her empty hand to her head and came back with blood on her fingertips. Something was pressed against her mouth and nose and she was out.
