"Rufus, I can assure you that Chad and the team we sent to Unicron did not intentionally cause his sudden movement or ability to trigger an unusually high powered EMP wave to disable the nearby ships. They had collected some data, then Darkmega and the others found themselves sent back here without our permission, and a little while later Chad and two others followed suit." Dr Light was standing in the labs along with Wily, Samus and Darkmega, who was sitting at a table nearby, listening in.
On the computer screen, was of course, Rufus. "Thomas, they have caused something regardless. Now due to this unexpected turn of events, we've momentarily lost sighting of Unicrons head. I'm sending what ships I can to scan the area, but if Unicron had an ability to disable our vessels without us knowing, then he could easily have a way to avoid our scanners entirely. This is not a good sign."
"We understand entirely Rufus." Dr Wily spoke up. "We're trying to gain access to the information we got. We might find out more about him from it. We'll be in touch."
"Understood Albert." Rufus disabled the communication link, as Wily looked over to Darkmega. It was then noticeable that he had a white wire attached to him that was coming from the main computer, into his right arm. "Thomas, Samus, have either of managed to gain access?"
Dr Light sighed, looking at the computer screen, which now showed a purple sphere, formed of numbers, and began, for the seventh time for him, to try and extract the vast amount of information Darkmega had gained from Unicron. "Getting to it is easy. Taking it out of his system to access it on the other hand—" The screen flashed red, and was showing several dozen error messages, before closing his attempt to reach what they wanted. "—Is impossible. I've tried backdoor access, changing around the command coding to make it seem the same to hide my attempts, and even tried brute hacking, but no matter what, it's like it's completely incompatible with our computers."
"I've even told Dr Light about the Luminoth language to try and help, but it's made no difference. It's like the same as what happened to me in Unicrons head. I could look at the data while it was on him, but the moment I tried to extract it, my system failed to do so." Samus added, while she had her arms folded, trying to think of an idea to get to the information like the others.
They had been trying for the last hour since Chad came back.
"Yet you Darkmega, were able to access it and easily download it. Could it be because you're connected to Unicron somehow since you awakened him?" Thomas began trying to get into the data once again.
"Correction, I didn't. Richard done that work. My only direct connection to Unicron is that I'm currently on his hit list along with Chad after what we did to him."
"Still, you managed to retrieve the data...Albert, I'll need to run a full scan on all of Darkmega's programming to see if anything matches that'll help in getting this cluster of data out of him."
Wily looked to the Dark Navi. "Would you mind if we did so?"
"Not at all." Darkmega answered with. "It could help us."
"Then go for it Thomas. I'll go and check on Link. He returned injured from the mission."
"Jesus Link. That looks like it stings like hell."
"Trust me...it does. A lot Chad. I should've been more careful with Diamas-AH!"
"Please try to relax. The wound is still tender. You got to avoid excessive facial movement until the stitches dissolve away. Hopefully by then you should just have a scar and the wound completely sealed up, then we can proceed with the cell regeneration to make it all good as new."
Dr Wily had entered to find Chad, Jak, Zelda, Xiahou Yuan, Sun Shang Xiang and Medi standing around Link, who was wearing his boxers and was sitting up, with the grey cover of the bed over his lower half.
Ryu had left a while back, and with the arrival of Zelda and the others, he obviously told her of what happened to the guy she was going out with. Link's face had now a stitched up wound going from his forehead, diagonally down the left side, across his nose, and close to the right side of his mouth. It was still being cleaned up by Medi, who quickly just gave him a local anaesthetic to stop the pain while she had sealed up the wound a good 20 minutes ago.
It had already worn off as hinted by Link's constant feeling of pain from his head, like a major migraine. "And to lose the Master Sword and my shield..." The Hyrulian hated the fact he was brought back without them.
Zelda had been deeply concerned when Link told her of Diamas, the sword he carried, both things ringing alarm bells in her mind. "Link, you fought Diamas and survived...I'm thankful for that. If he is the one I know of, you have been lucky."
"The one you know of?" Sun Shang was curious.
"I used to visit the castle library back on our world many times, especially the lower sections which were mostly abandoned. In it I found a story of a Hero of the land named the same as the one Link had encountered...and if he is indeed a Hyrulian..."
Chad folded his arms, thinking back. "Unicron, Diamas, said he was from ages back. The sword he had, the master sword lookalike, was from his 'most hated foe' that he killed. And seemed to laugh at the idea of the master sword being the blade of evil's bane. Doesn't help much I know, but he hasn't told us much detail."
That done it for Zelda, as she looked stunned. "By the Goddesses, it must be him...The one who fell into hate, who carried the blade of Demise, he who Ganondorf was once connected to."
"Ganon-what?" Xiahou Yuan looked at her with a little confusion.
Link decided to explain that bit. "Ganondorf, the king of evil on our world. He's the one I stopped about nine years back now...the only ones who remember him and his true reign of terror is Zelda and I...it included time travel, to a grim future that I stopped...only for my world to..." He looked down at himself.
Jak looked at him, apologetic, knowing like Zelda and her now thinking of it, their world's loss was still a sour note. "Link, Zelda, we're still sorry about your loss."
"I hope eventually the Shinra Federation will inform the tens of thousands of Hyrulians that live on colonies that never saw the end of their home, will find them a new homeworld." Dr Wily decided to speak up to reveal his presence to the group.
"Dr Wily." Chad smiled a little as he and the others acknowledged him. "Any news on the information Darkmega has?"
Dr Wily joined over with them near Links bed. "Not yet, we've hit a snag despite our attempts, but Thomas is not giving up...Zelda, if you can recall what you know about Diamas, it may be of some help."
Zelda wasn't so positive on that. "It is just the story of him. Nothing else. His life on our world, his fall from being a great hero, into a man of hate."
"Anything is useful at this point." Chad pointed out.
"Okay..." She moved away from the group, thinking for a little while, recalling the book in her mind, before turning towards them. "The story was long, the details I don't remember, but I remember the main part. The story of Diamas... Diamas, the hero that believed he was betrayed by the woman he loved...who chased the man that had taken her life, beyond our world, into darkness."
They all listened to her carefully, as she continued on.
"Diamas' story is one I used to read many times, because it was an interesting tragic tale...It was about one of the many heroes of our land, who once held the Master Sword to bring down evil that plagued our world. Unlike those who came after, the trials he faced were much more dangerous, more fearsome. He faced beasts of unimaginable terror, men of the darkest tyranny, and monsters of utter evil. He fought on because he had something to return home to...he was in love with the daughter of the king, and one day, it was decided she and he would be wed, once the greatest evil was ended. The evil that was known as Demise. A demon who plagued our world, who was slowly killing it."
"Diamas was going to make sure Demise fell. But he could not defeat him alone. He instead found aid in those who come beyond our world, the travellers, who also knew an evil existed on Hyrule. With this group by his side, he faced all those that served Demise, and soon faced the acclaimed master of evil himself, the Master Sword being shattered with a final blow to the villain, impaling the monster through his chest in the process...and they were victorious."
"Diamas and the travellers were friends from this experience, and when Diamas married the daughter of the king, he invited them back to our world, to celebrate the union, and to declare to the king that the daughter was already with child, as they coupled before his journey against Demise."
"But the daughter, and one of the travellers, held feelings for eachother, and as ale and wine passed around, their intoxication led to them leaving the celebration, and brought them to committing acts of adultery."
"Diamas, having woken from the night of alcohol, realized his new wife was not with him. He ventured around the castle, calling out for her, but she did not answer...then as he walked out to the castle grounds, calling her name, he saw her at the balcony of one of the guest rooms, her arms raised as if she wished to fly, tears glistened in the sun...before she fell forward, plummeting down to the earth below."
"Diamas' screams echoed across the land, as he wept over her lifeless body, that not only had he lost the one he gave his love to, but the child their love had formed within her. When he looked up to the balcony which she fell from, he saw one of the travellers, a young man that wore red glistening armor, looking down at him. He had pushed her, as she had awoken from her night of drink, despaired by the man besides her that was not her love, and refused his offer to be his instead of Diamas'."
"Blinded by despair and hatred, Diamas rushed to his quarters, and revealed the prize he had taken from Demise' remains...a sword blackened by evil, that was a mocking mimic of the blade of evil's bane. He charged through the halls, and clashed with the traveller, attempting to take his life demanding blood for blood. But Diamas was overpowered, and the traveller in red struck him down...and then they left, leaving a dying hero on the ground...a Hero that would recover from wounds that should have killed him, who demanded to escape our world."
"It was then the sky was darkened, a dark planet had drawn close, a strange world with no life, but brought a sense of dread. The seven sages of that time begged Diamas to be calm, to forget the travellers, as they shall never return...But Diamas refused to listen, and one night, a beam of light came down to our world from the dark one, and Diamas ran into it without question."
"Weeks had passed, and Diamas returned to his world...He killed the King, the Queen, the entirety of the royal family, and then actively hunted down the seven sages...madness had taken him, and as our world plunged into darkness and disorder, with him discarding his own part of the Triforce that he once proudly held, he returned to the dark planet, and it slowly left...He was never seen again by our people. It is said he chased the travellers, until he was stopped, and brought to eternal rest, as the newly made seven sages of our world felt. A day later, as the sun rose, the Master Sword had suddenly returned to its resting place, restored, as if marking the end of his time. They prayed that the next hero of the land would never suffer the same fate." Zelda had finished re-telling the story, looking at them all.
"He became Unicron because some off-worlder killed his lover?...goddamn, that's quite a feat." Xiahou Yuan commented.
"Love can drive people to do all kinds of things Yuan. Heck you should look up on the stories the Galactic Federation has gathered across its territory, there's all kinds where love is a major factor behind people's acts." Medi soon focused back on Link, looking at his wound once more, checking it was okay.
Link though, was focused on Zelda...a daughter of a king, and him, a hero of the land... "...I would be enraged too, if i lost you."
"So we can guess the dark planet was probably Unicron in that story. But how did it get there if Diamas is the brain of it? Why did it go to Hyrule?" Chad wondered aloud.
"I remember that there wasn't much written about the dark planet in that book. It simply was there, and it took Diamas to the stars after his killing spree." Zelda admitted.
That's when Dr Wily thought of something. "If it's Unicron, it might've been recorded down on the listed archives of the Chozo lore that's been discovered over time. They might know alot more then we first thought, even a weakness if we're lucky should the worst case scenario come up and he fixes himself. I'll get access on the net, see if there is anything."
Back in the labs, Dr Light had finished his scan, with Darkmega looking like he had been asleep during it on the chair nearby, the wire still in his arm. Samus was sitting close to the computer, though with her visor glowing, it was obvious she was busy doing something...by the weak beeps coming out of her helmet, Dr Light assumed she was playing a game.
Darkmega opened his eyes, feeling his programming coming back to life, and focused on the doc. "Hey, did you find anything that'll help?"
Thomas looked annoyed. "No. Not of our current situation of trying to get the information to our computer system, though checking through our own database, I discovered something as to why you were able to get it in the first place."
On the screen, He showed one compiled list of data on the left side, and on the right, another, but this one was showing...symbols, numbers, upside down here and there, or even just plainly back to front. The computer highlighted them as errors with a red glow. "This is a list of Hub's programs on the left, and yours on the right. Yours is what shows you're a dark soul. It has errors and corrupted data, compared to Hub's, but it is data we still can scan and detect because it still has standard code embedded. What surprised me is-"
He made both lists vanish, and in their place, were two samples of DNA strands. One looked normal, while the other...appeared to have dark patches, the genetic code looking like it was damaged. "-Was how I never noticed before that it was similar to Jak and his ability to change between himself, and his dark form. Jaks normal set on the left, dark on the right. There also has been several other similar 'markings' in cases across the Federation. Look." Dr Light now was showing images of Federation Troopers, of humans, mobians, elves...each showing their DNA strands, each with the same damage to them. The people themselves, they all looked different, one had turned purpled skinned and his teeth seemed to have tripled in size, while another had gone deathly pale and their eyes looked like they had been gorged out.
"I don't think they were seen as related because of the distance, differences and times of one another." He continued. "But they all share the same signs...and this." Then, he showed the sphere of Unicron's data, and next to it, a scan result of it, messed up data that the computer just regarded as a major error, all of it glowing red. "Now, we created your programming like that of DNA, strands of programming combined together to form a life. If we changed the image of your programming into that, along with the data's..."
Darkmega's programming list returned, and slowly, it was rebuilt to look like a strand. Next to it, the mashed up data the computer could gather from Unicron's, changed into a similar strand, and then the computer showed the areas of errors on Darkmega's...and found perfect matches on Unicrons.
Dr Light then brought back Jaks dark self strand, and again, matches were found. Then he went through the others, and each one had several perfect matches. "It seems whoever created Unicron's data system done it the same way as us... and the fact you're all similar...means you're all connected to the orb the Wily family use."
"Orb?" Darkmega looked surprised.
"It's what they scrape fragments off to create the main part of the Dark Souls. They haven't got a name for it. But I now worry that the orb may have come from Unicron...and he might come from an entire different part of the Universe we've yet to know of. The potential of what we could learn from it now..."
There was silence after, before Samus talked, obviously having turned off her game. "Of course, this doesn't help the current problem. Getting that data. Darkmega was able to take it, but we still can't take it from him because our systems are not compatible."
"But, I'm made of our system and have fragments of, his, right?" Darkmega queried, which got him a nod off Thomas. "So, you should be able to read it off me, right? If you go through my system code? Use it like a bypass."
Dr Light looked surprised. "That's, actually a good idea. But we still can't extract it. I feel Wily and myself would agree that the data needs to be secure in our system." He then had his own idea. "Darkmega...you can move the data in you. Can you readjust it and get it moved into your hand? Store the data there?"
Darkmega nodded, though a little weary as to why. "How would it help?"
"I can take off your hand and quickly transfer it into our computer before it breaks apart. The data will remain inside it, and we can use your hand as the go-between to access it."
Samus was surprised. "You intend to cut off his hand? That's gonna hurt him alot isn't it?"
"Not if he disables his pain receptors for a moment and gets himself to the hospital for Medi to make a restoration of it straight after."
Dr Wily soon came in, ready to check around for the Chozo Lore, when he saw Darkmega have his hand removed.
Unfortunately, Dr Light didn't have any quick cutting sharp objects on hand, and Darkmega, though willing to have his hand removed, couldn't chop it off with a cyber sword as he kept hesitating, remembering the time he lost both an arm and a leg.
Samus had to do it, with her arm cannon, and she never could use that on a small scale
.
Link sat up on his bed in the hospital, looking at the new arrival in surprise.
A deeply concerned Medi was with Darkmega, who was sitting on the bed next to Link, with scorched marks on the left side of his chest, his stomach, his shoulder...and anything below that shoulder, was only fragments of data leaking out, and scrap parts of his clothing that hung from where his arm was. He had a blue wire attached to his neck, while on the hospital computer screen, was an outline of his body, as Medi had began the restore process.
"So...She used a charged shot huh?" Link asked.
"Uh huh."
"Did it hurt?"
"Not for the first five seconds, then my pain receptors tried to turn back on due to the significant damage I suffered. Had to change my own settings as quickly as possible to keep them off...so now it's all num. I can't even feel my eyes and mouth, which is extremely weird."
"Did she damage the data?"
"Thankfully no, but Dr Light and Wily are currently complaining to her about the damage she's caused to several pieces of equipment that were close to me."
They just could hear shouting from the labs.
"Complaining alot about it too."
"I gathered."
The day passed on, and eventually Chad found himself in Ridley's bar, sitting with Anna and Quickman. He had noticed Richard was in the bar as well, sitting with Dr Regal on a table close to them. He was still thankful Richard removed the Dark soul issue.
Anna meanwhile, still doesn't trust him, glaring at Richard a little now and then, noticing her boyfriend was more relaxed then her. "Chad, you know he just done it so you can help him out. He still isn't a friend of ours."
"Maybe, but I'm happy he didn't just backstab me the moment he had a chance. He could've fled, sided with Chaos again. Anything else, but he chose to help me out."
"I gotta be with Anna on this one Chad, just watch yourself with him." Quickman suggested.
"I will do, alright? I'll be careful." Chad focused back on the glass of Dr Pepper Anna got him. "So Anna, where's cock blocker?
Anna sighed. "Really Chad? Well if you must know his retired to his own room for the night after a few drinks with Cao Cao and the others earlier…So that means I'll be alone tonight, in my decent sized bed."
Was she giving hints? Chad glanced at her.
She was given him a slightly wry smile and her eyes were…alluring.
Yup. "So, uh, you want a certain lad from Mobius to snuggle up with you and keep you company?"
"Maybe a little more than that."
Chad smiled, feeling flustered, with the hint of butterflies in his stomach at the chance of seeing her naked once again after that painful attempt before. "W-well I'm sure I can provide for you, my love. So long as you think you'll be, alright this time."
Anna looked more and more red, as if she was thinking about it too. For Anna, her confidence about it had only recently returned after constant talking with Medi, who told her the more they do it, the less issues there will be. "Now we've gotten past that certain barrier, I'm sure I'll be fine with you…looking after me."
'I'll do more than that.' Chad thought, his mind having dirty thoughts forming.
Quickman must've gathered that from Chad's face, as he rolled his eyes, looking over at the bar. "Ugh, I'm still here you two, don't need to picture my owner and my friend banging it out."
Anna could only chuckle at his response, as did Chad. "Heh, sorry about that Quickman. How about you and me go and run around in the hologram room for a bit before I retire to bed with…Anna?"
"I'm sure you'd rather save your energy for the night ahead, wouldn't you?" Quickman got up out his seat, smiling.
"Pfft, I got plenty of energy to go running and to…for that, with Anna." Chad's fumbling of words earned him a smirk from his Navi, who left the bar, with Chad following.
Anna finished her lemonade, and returned to her room. Did she finally ask him again? Was it so hard? She mentally was annoyed with herself that it took so long to give it another go. Maybe Medi was right, it'll be much easier, less issues. She had suggested…things to help out.
Anna walked over to her metal dressing table and opened the top drawer…revealing what Medi had suggested to her, hidden in the midst of her panties and bras.
Clear, flavourless lube in a plastic see through tube, and a purple, bullet sized vibrator, with a simple click-in button at the bottom to turn it on and off. One for both of them, and one for…Chad to use…
Just the thought it was making her feel completely embarrassed, the idea of suggesting him to, play with her, with a toy.
She opened her cupboard, which had a mirror on the other side of the door, and begun to get undressed. She thought back to all the other options Medi had in stock in her own bedroom, besides the basic pills and condoms in the hospital. Apparently she always stocked up on the…interesting stuff, most likely because of how far they were away from any civilised worlds with cities that would have sex shops, and with Medi's professional attitude towards other people and their private lives when they come and ask, she was acceptable to offer such items.
Anna was soon down to her bra and pants. White, plain…boring, as Medi put it. Anna looked in the cupboard at what she had got from the nurse Navi…A blue, thin, silky gown, which ended just covering her butt. She removed her bra and nickers, and was about to put the gown on, when she remembered the simple tip of giving herself a good wash first, put some perfume on, use flowery or fruit bath oils and shampoo to make her smell fantastic.
She went to the bathroom and activated the shower, waiting for it to be the right temperature before stepping in. She remembered when Medi offered to let her use her shampoo as 'Darkmega seemed to love it's smell whenever her hair was its normal flowing state.'. It was lavender. Anna refused as she already had her own. Then they went through all the stuff she had to give to others…blindfolds, kinky nightwear all designed for most sizes, silky rope, vibrators of different shapes and sizes, rings, vibrating and non, for the male part, handcuffs, many different types and flavours of lubrication…
For Anna, it was all a little too much, and eventually she settled on the smallest vibrator available and the plain lube.
She was soon out of the shower, towelling herself off, when she stopped and looked down at herself.
Trim it down as Medi suggested, shave it all off, or not to trim it… Anna sighed a little and continued to dry herself up. It was a little too late now, she wished she thought about that in the shower.
She dried and combed through her hair, making sure it looked nice enough for her boyfriend, before returning to the cupboard and grabbing the gown, putting it on and trying it's thin rope around her waist.
Anna focused on the mirror.
It looked too normal, she had completely covered herself up.
She undid the rope a little, and let the gown open up slightly, showing the inner parts of her breasts, her stomach, and even a hint to her special area. She tied the rope back up to keep the gown in place.
Perfect. She wanted to show him something good after the last blotched attempt of theirs.
She grabbed some perfume off the top of her dressing table, spraying it on when she heard
"Well, someone looks like she's setting herself up for a good night ahead."
Chad.
She put the perfume down and turned around, seeing him in his Mobian form, having just opened her door, his eyes taking in the view.
The bloody door, of all things to forget to lock while getting ready, she cursed to herself.
"Chad, you're a little earlier than I expected." She managed to say, while walking over to her bed, and sitting with her back to him, unsure if he like what he had just seen, with her trying to wow him.
"Well Quickman and me just had a few quick laps in the hologram room, the Chemical Plant Zone, was good fun till I shoved him in the purple crap by accident. Couldn't help it, the path got narrow…and uhh…speaking of, narrow things, I noticed a, narrow gap in that nice gown your wearing when you turned and looked at me…" He wisely closed the door behind him and activated it's lock.
"Did, you like what you saw?" She needed to ask him that.
'Come on mind, think, plainly or try to go smooth with it?' Chad asked himself.
His conscious answered back. 'Go for smooth kid, we gotta make her feel like she's a billion gil if we're gonna get our animal on tonight!'
"Uhh, baby, I thought I was looking at an angel that's fallen from the, crafting gentle, talons of, Azrael…"
'Oh god you serious? That sounded so bad. We're done here…' his conscious would pack its bags if it could.
"Wow Chad, really? That's, actually sweet to hear…" Anna actually felt it was a little corny, but still, he did try…and trying has its rewards, as she bravely stood up, undoing the rope, and as she turned around, let it drop to the floor, the gown opening up even more so.
'Nice going fella I knew you had it in you I knew you wouldn't let the side down I was backing you the whole way!'
'Hush traitorous mind, the view needs my maximum attention.' Chad replied in his mind.
He loved the view, that's for sure, something proved that from his lower half, which Anna went a little red in the face about, looking away slightly. "Uh, Chad? As much as I'm, flattered by your sign of happiness, I'm not like Rufus...You know, the mobian thing?"
"OH!" Chad morphed back into a normal human, complete with clothes. "Sorry, I kinda forgot what I was for a moment there...too busy with other things and all that, heh."
"So...wanna jump in the bed and, get comfortable?" Anna asked.
Chad didn't answer, him removing his clothing as quick as possible proved to her his response was a yes. Before she knew it, there he was, under her bed sheet, stark naked, with one part sticking up in the cover like a tent pole.
"Wow, someones eager." Anna smiled, before removing her nightgown and crawling into bed.
They both laid there, naked. For several tense moments, they both did nothing, the unsure feelings came back of how to proceed after the last time.
"Hey, do you wanna relax and, let me, go down on you?" Chad looked to her. "You know, get her in the mood?"
"Well, alright. It might hel-"
They were interrupted with Chad's com-link in his trousers going off. "Chad this is Wily. You there?"
Chad cursed under his breath. "Not now Wily..."
"Chad, are you there? I've got some news for you."
Chad closed his eyes for a moment and sighed in frustration, and was about to roll away from Anna to grab his clothing and get his com-link, when Anna stopped him, staring right at his face after pulling him back to her. "Leave it. It doesn't sound urgent enough. This is our time."
"Chad?"
Chad listened to Anna, and brought his lips to hers, deciding to block out any further noise from his com-link, which soon fell silent, as Wily guessed he must've been busy.
Dr Wily put the com-link down. He was still in the labs, with Dr Light, both near the main computer. Close by, were several remains of now-scrapped tools and repair equipment, burnt and destroyed by Samus. "He must be busy at the moment Thomas. I can't raise him."
"Leave the boy be. We don't need to tell him. If anyone that needs to hear what we've found, it's Zelda and Link."
"Chad needs to be in on this too Thomas." Wily ventured back to the computer, looking at the screen, which was showing several slabs of Chozo writing, translated...and one, had a rough picture of a humanoid elf, standing in a pillar of light, leading to an orange circle opening of a black planet, with two horns.
"Why? You honesty still think our old friend is following him around?" Dr Light looked to his partner.
"I'm certain of it. That boy is something else. Taking out Unicron is an obvious hint enough."
"Albert, most people in this base have achieved something that most normal people can't or done something that others wouldn't."
"Yes but do any of them carry a weapon named this?" Wily made the computer focus on one tapestry written out by the Chozo, and one line of it, translated.
'-The Blade of Darkness, carried by the hero, struck-"
Dr Light shrugged it off. "'Blade of Darkness' is quite a common name to be used."
"When it so happens to relate to one hero that also battled Unicron?"
Thomas fell silent, staring at his friend. "Albert...you're not saying..."
Albert didn't need to. He typed on the keyboard, and the screen went to a stone tablet, having found 'Blade of Darkness' translated again.
"The Blade of Darkness, carried by the hero Primus, brought an end to the tyranny of the planet machine-"
"By the name of Blind Lo..." Dr Light, was, just stunned, his eyes had widen at the realization. "This boy, you, you think he might be, connected to him?"
"Why else would he carry a sword with that same name, and face the same enemy the great Primus had done so before?" Wily stared at the screen. "I always knew something was up with him, ever since when I first saw him... I know our old friend is watching over him."
"You are quite correct." Another voice answered.
Both of them spun round, looking behind them, as now standing there, watching them both with a small smile on his lips, was none other than Zuo Ci, holding his cards up to his chest. He gave a small courteous bow. "Albert Wily, Thomas Light."
"Zuo Ci. It's been a long while." Dr Light gave him a smile back. "How have you been for the last six years?"
"I have been, well, thank you Thomas. Albert?"
Dr Wily wasn't smiling. "I think you know why I'm not too pleased to see you directly. Still, I welcome you to our base. We're, sorry, for leaving the one you helped bring about."
"Do not worry, in time you will return there." Zuo Ci walked towards them, and they both made space for him, as he now stood between them. "I see you have figured out Chad Oswald and why I have returned?"
"We know it's to do with Primus, with Unicron. Is Chad...connected to Primus himself?" Dr Light asked.
Zuo Ci nodded.
"That's...how? How after 3 million years of a lost bloodline, he never even had children. His lover died before Unicron fell, the Chozo themselves noted he was alone and had no heirs."
"That is true, however, they did not count those of his other families. The bloodline is very extensive of all five families of the legacy. While Primus died off, his blood continued on."
"The five..." Wily remembered now. There were five main heroes to the tales of Primus. All only known by first names. They were eventually known as the five bloodlines, or families. There had been many people throughout the times since Primus vanished that claim they are a part of one of the families, their blood is from them. You had of course Primus, his two close friends Odin and Thor, the great betrayer Fenir...and... "...Anna..."
Even Dr Light remembered her name now. "Primus and Anna, Chad and Anna...you don't surely think..."
Wily nodded, focusing on Zuo Ci. "He is a deity. A being who follows others. He probably knows what is ahead for Chad, and knew that there was an Anna here, who just so happens to be Chad's girlfriend right now."
"Indeed, you actually have all five of the bloodlines right here. Blind Lo has readied a destiny for them, one you will all no doubt be a part of, to see what will come from it." Zuo Ci focused on the computer screen now.
"Let's hope it doesn't have to lead to another child being sealed away because of what you wanted him to have." Wily said that with a bitter tone in his voice, as he moved away from the computer to one of the tables nearby, looking at the reports Keira had left for them on the state of this place, and to keep his distance from Zuo Ci.
Dr Light focused on Zuo Ci. "So, will Chad stop Unicron? Even in its, his, more mortal form right now?"
"Chad will eventually. Very soon he will be called to the world of warriors. There he will face the blood of Fenir, then Chaos, and then, he will face heaven's judgement. But be warned, you will return home to Earth X, with little choice."
"With little-" Before Dr Light could say anymore, Zuo Ci vanished in a flash of white light. "Ugh, must he always be so cryptic!?"
Dr Wily spoke up. "Thomas, we better try to look at the information from Unicron's databanks and find out as much as possible, and check on the status of Earth X's Base. We won't be staying for much longer by the sounds of it."
Two days passed.
Storm Eagle was on the bridge of the GFS Gardener, staring out one of the windows, down at the planet it had arrived at, where Grievous, Keaton, Dr Cortex and Vile were heading towards on a transport ship, along with several dozen troopers.
Earth V. A world green and blue much like most other Earths, except this one only had two massive landscapes. There was no signs of islands or smaller locations. He knew the one they were trying to work with, the one that held the known dominant power of this planet was called Manusya. The other large continent, no one bar those on the planet knew of its name, and it was hardly spoken about. All that's known is that once, years ago, the GF tried to land transports there to make contact with its locals like those of Manusya, and no one ever came back from it.
Manusya was controlled by the Han Dynasty. It was pretty much the main state, the glue, that held the numerous individually controlled kingdoms together on Manusya. It kept them in line, and whenever there was a feud brewing between two kingdoms, it would try to put out the tension as quick as possible, or allow them to make a decisive battle to end their issues. Before the Han existed, 400 years ago, the continent was in a constant state of war and power struggles.
It was only by one individuals ideals that the Han came to pass, Liu Bang. After ending his long time rival Xiang Yu, he brought a majority of the land together, allowing those he brought over to his side to keep their freedom and individualism. It wasn't the most smoothest of changes, as many small kingdoms were formed under his realm, and by the time he died, there was nearly a hundred of them.
Nowadays, with the controlled way of combat, and deciding battles, there was now 12 kingdoms, if you discount the ruling house of Han. You had the four guardian kingdoms to the Han, who were regarded as the superior ones of the 12. They were placed closest to the main controlled area of the Han, and act like it's shield, given the richest of farmlands and most shares in profits. They were Qishan, Zhong, Shu and Wei. They were controlled by Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shu, Liu Bei and Cao Cao respectively.
Then you had the 4 inner caste, those seen as trusted and valued by the Han. This was because they held some of the inner parts of the continent, and thus held a fair part of the farmlands and mining deposits. These were the kingdoms of Hanzhong, Mianzhu, Jing and Yuan, controlled by Zhang Lu, Liu Zhang, Liu Biao and Yuan Shao in order.
Then you had the outer caste. They were allied to the Han Dynasty, but weren't seen as anything much of importance in the political affairs of the house and often just were given whatever plans were set up without being allowed to give their input into the matter. They were located mostly on the borders of the continent. These kingdoms were Liaodong, Liang, Nanzhong and Wu. Each one owned by Gongsun Zan, Ma Teng, Meng Huo and Sun Jian.
Flame Stag approached his comrade, looking at the view himself. "Grievous appears agitated of late. I don't honestly know if our hold out on this world will last."
"...I'm not sure either. It feels like Keaton and him are now at odds. If we fail here, I suspect one or the other won't make it out of this alive."
Soon the transports reached the grand city known as Luo Yang, the capital of Manusya, the five routes to the city protected by gigantic gates of iron, steel and stone, almost twice as tall as the Emperors grand golden spiral tower in the middle of the city which shined with the sunlight reaching it. The population here were mostly civic officers, rich folk, powerful businessmen and traders from other worlds. On the edge of the city was several landing areas for transport vessels, lacking in a proper spaceport.
A recent edition to the city was its weapon development sector, which, compared to the oriental style of the rest of the place, appeared much more to Galactic Federation standards, it's grey coloured buildings standing out when seen in the sky above. A majority of the major cities in Manusya now had places like these, as the more advanced weaponry and tech was greatly favoured over what they once had, save the Nan Zhong under Meng Huo, who prefer what they have been granted from their world, rather than outsiders.
Having just come from the landing site, Keaton and the others were being escorted to the capital building by a rather pudgy looking man, wearing golden oriental armor, a red cape, and a helmet adorned with jewels and precious metal. To his point of view, the clothing showed him to be the just hero the land wanted, while to many others, he was simply enjoying the life he now had from his humble beginning as a butcher.
This was He Jin, the imperial step-brother to the emperor of the Han, thanks to his sister marrying the man. He was the leading commander of the Han army, and was also the man who handled the relations of this world to those off the planet. He was a close ally to the High Ministers thanks to Yuan Shao rise into their ranks, and with that, the Han and He Jin used to receive a large portion of money to improve their world to be of use in the grand scheme of the Galactic Federation, with the empire having realized the potential warriors and trained troops on this world.
Since Yuan Shao had declared his step down and acceptance of the Shinra Federation, that large money income had dropped down, and now the planet was given a fair share of wealth like most of the other planets, as Rufus felt the world was developed to an acceptable level. This led to He Jin being at odds with the SF, as he liked that tidy sum he used to get.
This is what brought him to be in a passive state over the civil war. He informed his emperor that there was no need for them to help either side for now and to see how things work out. That was until he got the call from Keaton. The idea of helping a man like him win the civil war...He Jin would be in a powerful position. To him, that meant plenty of rewards would come his way.
Keaton was just thankful for another ally, even if he was once a close friend to a now ex-minister.
"Keaton, last I heard you had attacked Earth X and Gaia IX. What happened? I expected to hear of a victory at the very least." He Jin asked as they ventured towards the Emperor's grand palace, the local people keeping their distance and making sure to avoid crossing their path seemingly out of fear, especially of He Jin.
"Several setbacks. A lack of unity. A breakdown of communication. The Shinra Federation managed to outwit us. But that's something I'll make sure doesn't happen again. With your military forces and my ambition, the Shinra Federation have tasted their last victory."
"Well that's good to hear then. I really don't want to regret letting you on our world and to fail against the SF. I would take servitude to them over total annihilation." He Jin glanced at him.
Keaton gave a little bow. "I'll make sure that won't come to pass, my friend."
He Jin was glad with that answer, and looked away from Keaton, who was now glaring at the general. He was only being nice to his face so long as he needed to be.
They soon entered the palace and journeyed through the gold-lined halls before them, eventually reaching the Han throne room. There, sitting on the golden decorated throne, was a rather relaxed, slightly tubby man, with black hair going down his back, a long beard, with a few wrinkles on his face, gold and purple robes around his body, and a hat fitting of his status. This was Liu Hong, or as he known throughout the land, as Emperor Ling. The title name Emperor Hong had been taken by his grandfather.
This was a man who only acted when he absolutely needed to, choosing to remain cosy in this throne room then explore the land he owed or help those who ask. Despite this, he remains highly respected by the kings.
Standing next him, wearing a black and golden dress, which seemed to open at her rather large cleavage on purpose, and wearing over it a purple silk robe, wearing purple eyeliner, purple lipstick, a gentle touch of white powder to brighten her face, fair blue eyes, long black hair, and a headdress that had an assortment of jewels and flowers, was his main wife, Empress He, the sister of He Jin. She originally was not the main wife of the Emperor, but after a rather 'unfortunate' accident which many still are certain she had something to do with, the first wife of the Emperor had died, and she had taken her place, thus granting her a rather immense level of power in the court. She was the one who suggested her brother commands the military force.
She seemed very happy to see Keaton, Grievous, Dr Cortex and Vile. She like her brother, held no love for the SF after the pay cut they were now receiving. She especially hated the fact that a young fool like Rufus is now in command, disliking his appearance and his attitude.
He Jin bowed to his emperor, at the royal red silk covered steps leading up to where he sat. "Emperor Ling. The leader of the Galactic Federation has arrived."
The man looked down to the Keaton and the others, who all bowed. "Oh no, please Keaton Al'Keriff. Please do not bow." Ling got off his throne and began walking down the steps as Keaton stood back up, a little surprised. "A leader of the stars has no right to bow to a man that is a leader of a planet that asks the stars for their warmth."
He had put his hand out for Keaton to shake, which he did so. "That is the standard way of greeting a fellow man for your people, is it not?"
Keaton nodded. "That it is Emperor Ling. Do you know why I am here?"
"Not at all."
That caught Keaton by surprise. "...I'm sorry?"
"No. I leave such things to my beautiful wife and my trusted general." The Emperor then focused on He Jin. "Why is the leader of the stars and his generals here He Jin?"
"He is here to have us aid him in defeating the Shinra Federation, and those of Shura." He Jin responded, keeping his head low.
"Shura?" Grievous glared at the general. "I don't recall you mentioning this before."
"The Shura have been begun amassing their force recently." Empress He spoke up, drawing their attention as she walked down the steps. "They showed signs of moment a couple of days back. We sent several scouts over to their lands. It's been reported back that they are preparing a large amount of ships, to cross the sea and arrive at the rocky coast of the Liang Province. They've never dared land there before due to after the coast, you have to traverse the mountains before arriving in our territory, the constant mist of the location and the easy places to form up ambushes. Something has stirred them into action. We've sent messages to Ma Teng to prepare for their coming, but we do not feel this is enough this time."
"And so without even asking, you expect us to aid you?" Grievous was certainly not pleased.
"I'm sorry. I feared asking because I did not want you to abandon us." He Jin quickly explained.
The cyborg wanted to grab the fat fool and pin him against the wall, to demand to know if there was anything else they needed to know that came at a price of an alliance. But a new voice stopped him. "Come now General Grievous, it won't be so bad for you to extend your hand to aid them. What we'll get out of it will certainly be helpful to us." That was a voice that came from the corridor that led into the room, the footsteps now being heard clearly as they all fell silent.
Chaos had just entered. To his left, Unholy Rich, to his right, Diamas, who carried both the sword he gained from Demise, and the Master sword, on his back.
"You!" Keaton eyes darted towards the enemy of Chad. "What happened to the space station!? Tell me right now!"
"Easy there Keaton. The Shinra Federation was well ahead of us it seemed. No doubt thanks to the Hero Faction keeping tabs, they gladly sent the intel of its location to the SF, who managed infiltrate the station, kill Huang Zhong and his men, and destroyed it. I had been given the command of a warship by Huang before the attack as we detected a SF ship close by, sadly I realized too late it was a diversion."
Grievous didn't buy it. "Where was Xehanort in all this? He was to watch the station from afar as I had suggested personally after Keaton was unable to secure a treaty with the Hero Faction. Surely he would've detected something and intervened before the station was lost."
Chaos folded his arms, talking to them in a calm manner. "He did detect it. But noticed they had already planted the explosives in the energy core. He knew it was a loss, and predicted both of your losses at Gaia IX and Earth X. He also knew you would come to this world after, one of the few with a favourable feeling towards the Galactic Federation that has a sizable military force. He sent me here, and is now currently on his way, after asking for extra help from Shadowlaw."
Keaton was shocked at hearing that. "Extra help? But his the head of Shadowlaw."
"The head is more, second in command in Shadowlaw. There have been numerous heads of the organization. But there has only ever been one...Founder. That one is still the true leader of it, and doesn't often show his face to the Universe." With that, Chaos turned away from them, and started heading back the corridors. "And if I'm not mistaken, I think they're just about to get here."
Diamas and Unholy Rich followed him, and soon, so did Grievous, Vile, Keaton and Dr Cortex. He Jin bowed to his emperor and quickly went after them. Empress He was about to follow too, out of curiosity, but soon noticed her husband returning to the throne. "My love?"
"Let me know what the person is like. I'll wait here." He answered with, before the Empress gave a little bow, and left.
The group followed Chaos to another landing zone, as they soon spotted an massive, giant winged purple transport ship unlike any in the Federation, came down from the clouds, slowly and gracefully moving towards the allowed area of landing. There was no logo on the craft as Grievous could tell, as it made its final turn towards them, slowing down, and gently landing on the ground.
From the side of purple giant winged transport vessel, a hatch opened, and extending out of it was a stairway, that connected to the ground before out came three dozen space marine troopers, wearing black painted versions of the GF armor, along with red visors instead of blue, half of them on each side of the stairway that they come down from, lined up and standing to attention. They had the Shadowlaw logo on their arms, in blood red.
This led to Keaton, He Jin, Chaos and the others to stand back, at the end of the troops lined up, waiting for the visitor to come out. "He certainly likes to make an entrance..." He Jin murmured.
Who actually walked out of it first, shocked Diamas. "It, cannot be…"
There before him, Chaos, Unholy Rich, Keaton, Vile, Dr Cortex, He Jin, Empress He and Grievous, stood the remaining founder of Shadowlaw, the one who recently allowed it to be mostly controlled by Xehanort. It was one of the four chosen warriors who brought down the Chaos Lord millions of years ago by order of the great angel Agent Smith. With one eye now permanently glowing red with an aura flowing around it, his skin slightly more pale, and now had white pauldrons on his red jacket, was Kel'Thurzard.
The soldiers and people the Han were uneasy with his presence, as he started to march forward. Coming out of the ship with him, was Xehanort, M Bison, a high ranking member of the Evil Ministry, Tony Stark, wearing a pair of black sunglasses and a grey business suit, he was known to many in the SF territory as Iron Man, a member of the Hero Ministry, and finally a man who was once a member of the Unit 666 who had a flare for one-handed weapons and torture, Revolver Ocelot.
Keaton decided to greet the ones approaching. "I see Xehanort has brought his leader here, in this mission to restore the Galactic Federation. I am Keaton—"
Kel'Thurzard shoved him aside with one arm, nearly causing Keaton to fall, as he continued on, heading towards the capital building, the home of the Emperor. The others that were near Keaton had moved themselves out of the way, letting the man and his allies pass…with Chaos soon following them silently, as was Unholy Rich.
"How dare he—" Keaton was quickly angered by the arrivals rather brutish behaviour towards him, ready to have a go, when he noticed Diamas was also marching with Kel'Thurzards little band…and soon heard the mechanical footsteps of Grievous and Vile, who both had left his side and joined their ranks too. "—Grievous!?"
The cyborg didn't have to answer him. It was obvious Keaton was far too full of himself to even sense the presence that Kel'Thurzard is emitting before them. A sense of power, and control. Something Grievous could follow willingly.
The guards to the building didn't even try to stop them, they just quickly shoved open the doors, keeping themselves against the metal doors as much as possible as Kel walked on by, soon turning to his left, not heading to the Emperor as many had assumed, but to a side meeting room down one of the gold-lined hallways. Kel'Thurzard shoved the twin doors easily open at the end of the hallway, and before them was a large round wooden table, with chairs circling it, paintings from across the land decorating the walls bar one, which instead held a beautifully detailed map of Manusya.
Kel'Thurzard soon marched around the table, to the chair opposite to the door, as the others divided themselves up to different seats. To the founder's right was Chaos, but to his left, Xehanort was about to sit, when Kel raised his hand, Xehanort quickly stopped moving and waited. The voice that came from Kel'Thurzard was deep, and menacing. "Only my brothers-in-arms may sit beside me now. Come, Diamas."
Diamas stepped over and stood next to Kel, as Xehanort took Diamas' old place. With that, the founder of Shadowlaw sat down in his chair, and everyone else followed suit. There was silence, as they waited…
Echoing down the hallway they had come from, coming into view, was He Jin, Empress He, Keaton and Dr Cortex, Keaton now looked pissed off… It made Kel'Thurzard give a small smile in enjoyment.
Keaton didn't find it amusing. "I am the leader of the Galactic Federation if you failed to notice! How dare you shove me aside and—"
"Do you honestly think you're the first leader of a space empire that I've pushed out of the way? Sit down. We have business to discuss." Kel'Thurzard suggested, motioning at the seats opposite to them.
Keaton and the remaining three did so, but the GF commander still showed some distaste towards the founder of Shadowlaw, sitting back, arms folded, watching him intensely.
"So, let's get to work. I want updates on this civil war. I want to know what you all want out of this alliance." The founder was looking at He Jin and Keaton.
Keaton begrudgingly spoke of his defeat, as well as Grievous', while He Jin explained about the Shura advancing on their land, how they seemed to get started now of all times.
Kel'Thurzard, as He Jin was still saying how the Shura have been quiet for so long, turned to Xehanort. "Did our scouts over there update their reports lately?"
The old man nodded, as He Jin stopped talking. "Yes. Several leaders in the Shura land have recently been killed and several more have surrendered to a woman known as 'The Lady'. We can safely assume she's the one responsible for this."
Kel'Thurzard seemed to think for a moment, before focusing on He Jin. "What are your plans to deal with this?"
He Jin fumbled with his words, as he honestly hadn't thought about it too much, as Kel'Thurzards glare was really unsettling. "Well, sir, I had, well, intended to make the likes of the, outer caste, to form up and bear the brunt of the invasion...when they were weakened, the Han would come in, and strike hard at those of Shura, driving them off and securing our position once again."
"One of the leaders of the outer caste, Sun Jian isn't it? He isn't on this world. They won't move without him. You're a kingdom down." Ocelot leaned forward a little in his seat, now also looking at He Jin.
"Well-well of course they won't. I intend to recall him and those other leaders who have delegated their kingdoms back to help with the Shura threat and-"
"Those of the Hero Base!?" Keaton snarled at the commander. "You dare let them back on this world and I'll have Grievous here tear your goddamn limbs off! I will NOT work with them!"
"Relax Keaton. Continue He Jin." Kel'Thurzard was still focused on the chubby man, idly giving a dismissive wave to Keaton.
He Jin did, after glancing at Keaton, noticing that if he said anything wrong, he was sure the man was going to lunge at him. "As, they help with the threat, I intend to deal with them one by one, through either making them loyal to the Han entirely or wiping them out. Three kingdoms have become isolated to us lately, Wei, Shu and Wu. I want to know their intentions."
"Shu has an obvious reason which you failed to notice. Scouts report that the crops in that territory have been poor this harvest, and all resources are being focused on the civilians living there to make sure they can get through the hard times. Liu Bei is a man for the people, they are his main focus." Xehanort explained. "Wei and Cao Cao have little reason to lessen communications and trade, and Wu and Sun Jian do not favour the Han since you previously questioned their loyalty, did you not? It's what led to Sun Jian help the Hero Base faction."
"I, how did you..." He Jin was surprised. The letters he sent to Sun Jian questioning his loyalty were top secret.
"Shadowlaw has alot of workers. We make them blend in to the point you'd never even notice." Kel'Thurzard then turned to Keaton. "Letting them come here can be a bonus to you then. Not only will you gain even more allies, you will crush those connected to that faction, eliminating their connections to several large armies. A stronger position for you to be in."
Keaton looked at the founder of Shadowlaw. "You have a grand military force of your own, do you not? I want that force on my side. Then this alliance-"
"You expect me to waste them on you? I have little want to go to complete war with someone. The Shinra Federation can be just as good for business as anyone else. I decided to pick you for the moment because Rufus thinks he can eliminate my company. Soon he'll either change his mind, or he'll be cold in the ground." Kel smiled at saying that last part. "I also came because of this man next to me." Turning his attention to Diamas.
"Who the hell is he?" Dr Cortex asked.
"This man...is the brain of Unicron."
There was silence after that, before, after a few moments, Keaton spoke. "Excuse me? The brain? If I recall Unicron was obliterated."
"My head remained intact. Chaos awoke me." Diamas explained.
Kel then looked back at Keaton. "And he'll prove most useful to your plan to remove the Shinra Federation. This is my side of the alliance...I intend to rebuild Unicron."
"That is a benefit to no one." Grievous bluntly put.
"Oh? With a rebuilt planet eater, with its numerous defences and size, hardly any SF vessel will be able to stand up to it. You'll be able to just march right into the depths of their territory, and pick them all off. With the Han army by your side, Unicron, and some small support from Shadowlaw, you'll have the control you want...what is to stop you, Keaton?"
"...How do we rebuild it?" Keaton was interested, his previous anger giving way as a smirk began to appear on his face.
Dusk fell on the Han capital, and on one of the highest balconies of the emperors home, stood Diamas, who was waiting for someone to meet him here. They needed to talk alone.
And soon enough, he had the door leading here opening, and the sound of those fancy, always clean looking leather shoes stepping over towards him. He soon noticed standing beside him, looking at the view of the city of Luo Yang, the people going about their business as they return to their homes for the night.
"Kel...It's been a very long time." Diamas looked over to the man. "You should be dead by now. I have been frozen in time, my mind being the only thing functioning. You cannot tell me you have been awake for all these years."
The founder of Shadowlaw smiled at the Hyrulian. "I am dead. Mostly."
Diamas looked bemused at that. "I'm sorry?"
"I'm dead to all modern technology. I have no life energy or any signs of being alive. It's thanks to what I had to do. Since you disappeared and became Unicron, I discovered a new power, one that you had found out and used first. The, what did Zuo Ci name them, the 'orbs of darkness'?"
"Before he figured out they were called the chaotic orbs."
"Even you got the name wrong. They're called Sigil Stones." Kel'Thurzard smiled a little. "Regardless. I have been using one to stay alive. It's embedded into me, replacing my heart from long ago."
Diamas focused back on the city."...I had guessed you fell from being a hero soon after I was absorbed into Unicron. I suppose that orb didn't help matters. I admit, hearing that you, Ingrid and Gabriel all turned against Primus was quite amusing back then, before all I heard of was of your defeats...then I had to deal with him myself. His final enemy."
Kel'Thurzard now joined him looking out again. "I was always a warrior, not a hero. You just assumed I was. I'd say out of us, the chosen four guardians of the core, you were the only real hero. I fought to prove myself and my might, Ingrid wished to be the strongest deity to all, and Gabriel sought for power and control over others."
The core of Azrael. Diamas remembered it's beauty, the day Cosmos came to him and the others. He swore to defend it, to fight the villain known as Chaos. He remembered Cosmos turning to Primus and asking him if he would take up the task as well.
Primus turned away, saying he had other things to be concerned about. Diamas thought back to that moment, and should've known that to be the warning signs that Primus was not all he was meant to be...At least not that Primus.
Diamas looked to one of his hands, looking at the scar where one of the large needles had been embedded all these years. "The more I speak of my old existence, the more I feel I'm slipping away from being Unicron."
"Are you suggesting it was a mistake? To accept the power of a machine? You wanted control to deal with Primus, to force the galaxies on their knees, to suffer what you suffered. Loss."
"A part of that machine, twisted my thoughts. It's wish to consume, to purge a certain life, warped into my own wishes to purge the universe of, him, those that willingly followed him so blindly..." He clenched his hand now.
"We followed suit with you because we felt Primus' time was over. You went to total war with him...and lost. But still, he paid for everything...the high ranking deities grew bored of him, as Ingrid predicted. He perished...didn't he?"
Diamas was silent for a minute, as Kel'Thurzard waited for an answer. "...Meeting away from the battlefield and in a place of isolation can make you do things you don't expect..."
"I cannot blame you. But now, a relative of his destroyed you, along with a relative of...Odin, was it not?"
Diamas felt his anger return. "Yes. Chad, and Darkmega. The 'great' and 'legendary' family lines still haunt me, even after such a long slumber. That's why I want to return to the machine...I want to be powerful again, to wipe them out, along with every single one of those that stood in my way, for their previous act of defiance of what I am."
Kel smiled. "And I shall support you in such an endeavour... but tomorrow, I want you to come with me. To my main headquarters."
"Why?" Diamas was curious.
"It's been three million years Diamas. I think we, the guardians, need to reunite with your return. We can introduce you to the four new guardians we brought together over the years. And I'm sure you want to reconnect to Azraels core after so long."
At the Hero Base, it was around 4pm, as Chad was sitting in the main room with Dr Wily, Anna, Darkmega, Zelda, Link with his face still looking a little red, especially around the wound which was healing slowly but surely, Dr Light, Dr Regal and Dr Hikari.
Wily now finally had the chance to catch Chad, and wanted a word with him and the others in the labs, but currently it was occupied by Cao Cao, Yuan Shao, Liu Bei, Sun Jian and Dong Zhuo, as all of them had received a 'priority call' from their home planet and needed their own privacy.
"Doc, I've been...busy, over the last few days okay? I have some very important stuff to attend to beyond you and other places outside here-"
"You mean you were too busy frisking up Anna, getting to know her good points and managing to actually to get it on. I remember that look on your face yesterday afternoon." Darkmega bluntly pointed out, smirking.
Anna just went red and couldn't look at anyone, as Chad glared at the dark Navi. "Not the way I would've said it Darkmega."
Dr Wily decided to cut in. "I am, annoyed, that you would put THAT above the issues with Unicron currently, but I will let it slide this time. We found some interesting information from the Chozo writings, and some small bits of information from Unicrons databanks."
"Small bits?" Darkmega wondered.
Dr Light sighed. "Despite the access we have now, much of the data is ridiculously encrypted. It's been a struggle to get anything out of it. But what we have got, is certainly interesting."
Dr Wily continued it on. "One major thing is that this isn't the first time Unicron has been dismantled. It's the second time. It has a rebuilding program set up, and knows a destination to go to in order to be correctly restored back into its original form like it was before."
"And do we know of its destination?" Zelda queried.
"...That's one part we've yet to uncover. We thought we had it, but instead we found information on Diamas. Or as the machine names him, Diamas Link. Not a resident of Hyrule though. The world he came from, is labelled Skyloft."
"...Skyloft?" Anna looked confused. "Wait, did Link and Zelda's people come from another world?" She looked to Zelda and Link.
Dr Light spoke up. "According to the charts, Skyloft and Hyrule are one and the same planet. But it was renamed and logged after Diamas had left his world for good...There was a catastrophe on that world three million years back. Unicron unleashed a wave of destructive energy on the planet, wiping out a majority of life there...triggered, by Diamas."
"He killed most of our kind?" Link focused back to Dr Light now.
"Yes, but he seemed to have made Unicron target those specifically above ground level of your planet. A civilization in the clouds. He chose to wipe it out entirely. Those on the ground were spared such a fate, before Unicron left orbit to begin it's feeding routine to recharge its energy reserves."
"...I have never heard of a civilization in the sky before. According to our stories, Diamas was born as a Hyrulian." Zelda explained to them.
Dr Regal sat back on one of the comfy chairs, looking over at the princess. "It's been three million years...those that survived, what was passed down through time, probably was changed to what they knew and into a story that could be remembered. What we do know now is that the reason for his attack against his own people was based around what you called the travellers, what they did. One of them... was Primus."
"Primus himself? Wow, Diamas picked a bad choice for enemies there." Chad chuckled a little.
"Diamas and what he was, Unicron. The Chozo writings confirmed that an elf-man brought forth the tyranny of Unicron, and he and Primus fought many times, until Primus finally ended Unicron using the blade of darkness, losing his friends, and his lover in the process-" Dr Regal was going on about, when Chad interrupted.
"Hold on a sec! Did you just say the blade of darkness?!"
Wily sighed. This was not how he wanted to break this part to Chad. "Yes Chad, the blade of darkness. That's what he said. It's been written by the Chozo he wielded the blade of darkness during his adventures across the cosmos, and it was especially noted as the weapon that brought down Unicron."
"Wow, what are the odds of that huh? Him to use the blade of darkness, I use the blade of darkness, we both battled Unicron and stopped him, it's like we're connected orrrr-" He looked at all four of the docs staring at him. "...No. I'm not. You can't possibly think it, it's not like-"
He paused. Unicrons words came back to him.
"A Oswald...long since I have heard that name..."
"You are his descendent."
"your ancestor proudly used,"
"It is time to follow in his footsteps."
"Let there be peace between me and your family for once, let the feud end."
"Oh...ohhhhhhhh..." was what came out of Chads mouth at first as it now finally hit him. "...Well, at least we now know Primus' last name was Oswald. Unicron said so."
"Better not go around saying that too much. Some of the folk who really are dedicated to following Primus won't like you claiming his got your last name." Darkmega suggested.
"I'm going out with a descendent of a legendary hero...wow, that sounds really cool. " Anna thought about it. "But didn't Primus have a lover named...oh wow."
"Yep. And that would explain why Zuo Ci is focused on you lately Chad. I take it you have seen him?" Dr Wily asked the boy.
"You know the old strange guy?"
"Well enough."
"Well, he's been helping me since Darkmega popped up. Well, appearing at the times I need him the most, helping me unlock the power of the blade of darkness bit by bit, helped Darkmega get to the hero base to recover, helped us deal with Unicron..."
Dr Light leaned forward, looking at Chad. "His appeared to us lately. He claims you'll stop Unicron again. You'll go to a world of warriors, to face the blood of Fenir, Primus' once friend turned enemy, then Chaos, and then finally, you'll end Unicron."
"...Wow okay, I suddenly have this concerning pressure building on me right now. That's a few steps before I face Unicron again, I'm happy to face Chaos and get some due payback, but a world of warriors sounds troubling."
"Ah relax Chad, I mean Zuo Ci is betting on you, and predicted it to the old guys here, so it'll work out. Besides you got some time to get yourself ready and all." Darkmega assured him.
That's when Cao Cao and the other four kings of Earth V exited the labs. The leader of Wei turned his attention to the others. "Make sure to gather all your officers! Don't leave anyone behind!"
Yuan Shao and the other three understood and went their ways down the corridors, while Cao Cao went over to Dr Light and Wily. "Forgive me doctors. But I must beg you to either teleport us or lend us your transport vessels to return to Earth V."
"Why, what's going on?" Dr Light appeared concerned.
"A large army from our old enemies from the land of Shura is amassing to attack the Han and all of our lands. He Jin has an order from the emperor himself for all of us to return home and prepare to repel them."
"Inform the Shinra Federation. Earth V is allied to them, they can help in fighting off those from this, Shura place." Dr Wily suggested to the Wei king.
Cao shook his head. "He Jin doesn't want that. He wants us, the warriors and generals of our world, to deal with the problem. He doesn't trust the Shinra Federation enough to turn to them."
"Earth V..." Link remembered something, moments before he was teleported out of Unicrons head. "Earth V! Unicron is heading to Earth V! I remember someone saying that to Diamas before I was teleported out!"
"What!? Are you certain!?" Cao Cao was horrified by that extra bit of news. "Then there is little time to waste! Doctors, please teleport us home!"
Zelda stood up. "Lord Cao wait, let us help you too! There are those in this base willing to lend a hand to your people! The folks of Earth V are a major part of this place, and I know alot of people here would gladly come!"
Cao Cao wasn't sure for a moment, but quickly gave in as he knew time was against him. "Very well! If anyone wishes to help they can do so! Doctors?"
Dr Light got up from his seat, "We'll ready the teleporter Cao Cao." and along with Dr Hikari, and both went to the labs.
Chad looked looked at Regal, Wily, Anna, then Darkmega, as they then focused on him as Cao Cao left the room. "Wellll ya know, Zuo Ci never said WHAT world of warriors I would need to go to-"
"Chad Unicron is heading that way, you're going." Dr Wily flatly said.
"Primus fucking, goddamn bloody floating head of hell..."
"Don't use your ancestors name in vain now." Darkmega joked.
Within a void that held a fortress, covered in purple darkened clouds, a meeting was about to take place. This was the same location Chaos had used two years prior, and had brought Darkmega and Richard to. But what he and they met up in, was but a side room of this gigantic place. For this was actually the current prime headquarters, of Shadowlaw. A place away from sensors, from worlds, from feuding territories, a little hideout for one of the most endearing forces known.
What it held, in center of it, was beyond all items of worth.
It was guarded by the greatest security money could buy, watched and monitored by scientists who were forced to live here to avoid any chance that the item would be found out by outsiders.
It had come to this place around 500,000 years ago, as an uneasy truce was struck between two of its guardians that fought over it viciously since it came to this Universe, One was the appointed watcher of it, the other was not. The truce was suggested up by Kel'Thurzard himself to end their seemingly constant bickering.
It was a large, shimmering, colourless diamond, that illuminated the great room it was contained in, held up on a massive black stoned pedestal, balancing itself perfectly, spinning around slowly with no force causing it to.
Though the place was filled with technology, none was present in this room. The only things here were it, and eight massive portraits on the walls surrounding it, painted by masterful artists, to show the now known, eight guardians...of the Azrael Core.
The same eight who was now arriving.
The first to enter, through one of the pitch black metal doors, was Kel'Thurzard, along with Diamas, and Chaos. Kel looked back to a man who helped open the doors, an old man with long white hair, bald on top, and a thick moustache, who wore a purple lab coat with the Shadowlaw insignia on it. "Dr Gero. Make sure the door is locked until I give the signal. No one else but they, may enter, and they shall by their own methods."
The old man nodded, and closed the door as instructed.
As three of the portraits showed as Chaos, Kel and Diamas stepped up towards the core, they were some of the guardians. Diamas' portrait was of him one half, and the other the planet Unicron. He was amused by it. "So, decided to make me a picture should I not return?"
"No. We knew someday you had to come back to us."
"...And Chaos here became a guardian...?"
Kel turned to Chaos. "His been one for a much longer time then what it appears. Him and I hold, a close bond."
Chaos just chuckled at that, adjusting his sunglasses.
Then appearing in a flash of light near the core, was a muscular man with one half of his skin red, the other blue, his hair golden as her his eyes, and white silk cloth was around his waist. He spotted Diamas and appeared surprised. "Diamas Link. I assumed Kel'Thurzard joked when he said you were unfrozen from Unicron."
"Deity Gabriel. A pleasure as always."
Then following suit, in another flash of white, a face Diamas knew but didn't expect to see appeared. It was the man who once picked up a chess-piece lookalike of Unicron after the machine was destroyed, wearing his white, gold-lined robes, and his starry void like eyes meeting Diamas'. "Hmph, we meet again. You disappointed me recently when that brat and his artificial friend managed to take you down."
"Fate. I never would've expected you, or any of the so-called high ranking deities to even bother to take up the responsibility of watching over the Azrael Core. I thought everything but your own little game was beneath you." Diamas bitterly spoke.
Fate, as he was now known, looked to the core. "It is, but so far being a part of this, unity, has proven useful in my, plans. I just hope you'll do better next time against the boy. Or should I just expect another failure, like you had against Primus?"
That just made Diamas snarl, wanting to grab his sword, but Kel'Thurzard shook his head, noticing Diamas' anger. "Compose yourself."
"Who allowed him to join?"
"All three of us did. He was willing and both Gabriel and Ingrid know him well enough. We couldn't ask you on your opinion at the time, Unicron, you, was still in stasis mode."
Next, a pitch black vortex appeared on the ground near the core, as a figure slowly rose up from it, who was wearing a single black leather hooded coat with a silver zipper in the middle, with the hood up, hiding the figure wearing it. As the vortex vanished, he moved the hood back, revealing himself to the others. With tanned skin, orange eyes and silver hair...
Gabriel welcomed the figure. "Xemnas."
The man named Xemnas responded in kind. "Gabriel." Before he noticed Diamas. "Ah, I see why we are gathered here. To welcome back one of the first."
"And you are...?"
"The leader of Organization XIII. A group who has had encounters with Shadowlaw, and Gabriel on his, most unusual world he controls. The deity was the one who brought me here after he attempted to have me under his control as well. He didn't realize that a Nobody cannot be converted into one of his toy soldiers."
Diamas wanted to ask about the toy soldier bit, but chose to save it for later. "A Nobody? What is that?"
Gabriel answered it. "A being with no heart. He had removed his years back, and unlike Kel'Thurzard, he didn't need an orb to live on."
"And you deemed him a worthy guardian?"
Gabriel nodded. "Any opponent who can push me to my limits and actually kill me, is worthy of being in our fold."
Diamas understood. He recalled Gabriel was unique as he was gifted with the ability to resurrect himself, so long as he had the energy remaining to do so. He had only needed that gift twice, now thrice in his lifetime, as far as the Hyrulian knew. Once with the deity Chaos, once against Ingrid, and now this newcomer.
And speaking of, in a flash of white light, along came the deity herself, the one who always called herself 'Queen of the deities of the Farside.', with her long white hair, red eyes, golden round hairclips, with her blue jacket, blue short skirt and black stockings and shoes. Ingrid. Someone who had been given the rights to keep the Azrael Core by both Cosmos and the god himself, as she managed to finish off Chaos and get him sealed away. The first bloody war she had was thanks to Gabriel not accepting what she was given. After an uneasy ceasefire was formed, they agreed to go their separate ways.
It didn't last. Gabriel kept rallying deities on one side of the Universe to go after Ingrid and the core. Battles kept going on, back and forth between them until Kel'Thurzard resurfaced, showing them the massive organization he had created during his silence for two and half million years.
He brought them to this fortress, and got them to agree to finally end their bickering, by bringing the Azrael Core to such a neutral location, Gabriel was satisfied, and Ingrid accepted it if it let her focus back on the Farside again.
But right now, it was who else she brought with her that caught Diamas' attention, as she stepped up towards the core, looking at the others, a large, muscular man who was at least one and a half that of a humans height, towering over Ingrid's young frame, followed her.
He had black hair and eyes, fair skin, wearing a golden circlet with a green emerald in the middle, a golden, heavy looking necklace, golden arm bracelets, gauntlets, and a golden metal belt, holding up his white baggy trousers covered over by a red garb hanging loosely around his waist.
What Diamas had noticed before all else, was the presence around this man. A powerful aura that he hadn't seen before.
Ingrid spotted Diamas and gave him a little wave, smiling at him. "Diamas Link! So it's true that Chaos found you, it's great to see you again!"
Diamas smiled a little. He had a small thing for her once...looking her again, it came back. "Lady Ingrid."
She then acted like she just remembered something. "Oh yes. Diamas?" She then turned to the man with her. "This is my husband, Broly."
Welp, that got rid of his thing for her if that's her husband...who appears to be watching Diamas. "Your husband? Congratulations."
Broly then suddenly spoke up. "Don't bother me with that tripe. I want to test you, Diamas Link."
Kel'Thurzard stepped in, knowing what was coming. "Broly we agreed that no combat will take place in this fortress."
"You know my hubby needs to fight each guardian to prove himself. I like it when he works out...I'll allow it. Outside this room of course but it's fine by me."
"Ingrid!" Kel'Thurzard was gritting his teeth as he said that.
"Do you want to join in Kel'Thurzard?" Broly's menacing eyes looked down at the man. "I can take on BOTH of you if that's what you want!"
Kel'Thurzard calmly backed down. "Ingrid. Send Diamas and Broly to one of the outer sections. Just remember Broly, do not kill Diamas."
Diamas chuckled. "You make it sound like you expect him to do me great harm."
Kel's serious look when he turned to Diamas confirmed he did.
"Well, it's a date! Go on you two, have fun! And Broly, his right, no killing Diamas now. I want to have a long chat with him."
"Of course...I'll just beat him to an inch of his miserable life!"
"That's my husband." And with that, Ingrid made Broly and Diamas vanish. "Ah, it's good to see we're all together again. The guardians united...how's the plan to make sure a certain expected descendent doesn't start interfering going?"
Chaos spoke. "Not as smooth as we hoped...Richard is being quite a wild card at the moment, and appears to be working in Blind Lo's favour. He isolated the dark soul within Chad. Diamas can no longer sense it."
"Why would Blind Lo want that to happen...unless..." Ingrid focused on Fate. "It's the damn game again, isn't it? I thought it was agreed Chad and Richard would not be placed on the board at any given time. Who's controlling Chad?!"
"Currently Blind Lo. He won the boy in a dice roll recently with Lady Luck. He also has Richard, Darkmega and Zuo Ci. Lady Luck has Anna and I have Sephiroth and Lu Bu, as well as Diamas...though his awareness of me makes him uncontrollable in many ways." Fate explained, not sounding he gave much a shit about it.
"I told that damn snobbish asshole to keep them off the board and to focus elsewhere! We want his little 'destiny' to be short and end in his death! We don't need him hanging around! Azrael is close to him!" Ingrid was furious at this news.
"Let the deities play their games. I'm sure Blind Lo will grow bored of the boy and remove him. He did so with Primus, as you said before." Xemnas pointed out.
"...So long as Zuo Ci keeps listening to Blind Lo's orders..." Ingrid muttered.
"So? What of Keaton Al'Keriff? Is he still in the game?" Gabriel asked Fate.
"For now. Though I have long since grown bored of him. I intend Earth V to be his grave...anyway, Chaos and Kel'Thurzard only need him to make a distraction for the recreation of Unicron, am I right?" The deity looked to them both.
Chaos nodded. "Of course, he's just baggage at this point. He'll die along with the pig He Jin and his whore of a sister..." he focused on the Azrael Core, at its glowing reflective sides. "And hopefully, a majority of those of that Hero Base, go down along with them."
Notes:
1. Ocelot is based on his MGSV: The Phantom Pain look.
2. Gabriel is actually Gill from Street Fighter 3. Ingrid is also a Street Fighter character...ish.
3. Broly is, you guessed it, is the one from the Dragonball.
4. Xemnas is from Kingdom Hearts.
