Okay okay okay, I apologize for the wait but I wanted to make sure I liked how I ended it. :)
Allen awoke the next morning feeling better then he'd felt in years, his eyes slowly blinking open against the sunlight streaming in from the skylight above the bed.
He groaned, damning the hidden window he hadn't noticed the night before, shielding his face with a tired hand as he looked across the bed.
He frowned. His warmth and comfort was missing.
"Kanda...?" Allen mumbled tiredly, sitting up in the soft bed, rubbing both his sleep crusted eyes with the palms of hands.
He let his arms drop to his sides, blurredly looking around at the empty room, frowning at the absence of a certain blue haired swordsman.
Sighing, he pulled the blankets off. He'd actually been looking forward to waking up next to Kanda, hoping to be undisturbed like the last time.
Oh well.
Allen dragged himself to the bathroom, taking in a silent exchange of the room as he entered it, and God was it ugly.
Dead grass was the first thing that popped into his head when he saw the brownish-yellow walls, the counter to his right was painted a dark cobalt that could rival his boyfriends eyes but could never come close to being as beautiful. Everything else was porcelain white, from the toilet, to the cabinets, to the shower curtain. Allen could lay on the floor and it'd be like he'd disappeared into thin air.
He blinked sleepily as he turned the handle in the shower to the little red 'H', grabbing a towel from the linen closet and throwing it to the foot of the shower before checking the water. He grabbed a box containing a bar of soap and a random bottle that said 'shampoo' on the front, not caring for the kind, and stepped in when it was warm, letting the spray wet his white locks.
Warm showers felt so good, better then the barely lukewarm stuff that shot out of the prison shower heads like tiny bullets. He crossed his arms, resting his forehead against a porcelain wall, letting the liquid massage the muscles in his back.
Being in prison fucking sucked. How good it felt to shower in privacy, to do anything with privacy. He couldn't stand the eyes of all those disgusting brutes, in the showers, in the halls, while he ate, someone was constantly watching him. Even the guards, of course that was their jobs, they watched like hawks to make sure he was safe or not hurting anyone but the line between gaze's had begun to blur a few days ago. All he wanted was to be alone in a room for a little bit, that might have been part of the reason he had taken so long changing into Kanda's cloths yesterday. Even better, he could have stood Kanda's cobalt eyes staring at him, as long as Kanda was the only one. He had also wanted free will, and to get out of there... That was the whole point wasn't it? Was to learn your lesson, and then get the hell out of there? Not like Allen had any lesson to learn in the first place, he was in there for letting his rage get the better of him, what lesson did he get from that? That all those years of living with Cross had drove him to a point where he could almost kill a man? That he could actually succeeded when there was no one to stop him in time? That's a horrible lesson!
Prison taught him that pushed to his limits he could kill.
He snorted. Funny how that thought didn't scare him.
Allen picked up the bottle of shampoo, taking all the time in the world to massage it into his grease slicked hair, the light green suds warm between his fingers. How had Kanda been able to touch him last night? He was disgusting, body covered in a thin film of his own natural oils, white locks greasy and heavy from the lack of upkeep. He could almost see the prison grime flowing down the drain as he gave the same cleansing treatment to his pale flesh, washing himself with as much relief and enjoyment as he could muster. He even hummed a little, singing to himself.
"Hm, hm hm hmm, hmmmm hmmmm~ I wanna be your vacuum cleaner~ Breathin' in your dust~ I wanna be your Ford Cortina, I won't ever rust~ if you like your coffee hooooooot, let me be your coffee pot~ you call the shots babe~ I just wanna be yours~ HmMmMmMmMm~"
"I never pinned you as a shower singer."
"AH!" Allen yelled, quiet womanishly to his embarrassment, as the curtain was thrown back. A deep chuckle came from the form revealed, Allen's hands shooting into position to protect from prying eyes, his own wide with surprise until he registered the man before him.
"Kanda!" He hissed, "you scared the shit outta me! Where were you?!"
Ignoring his boyfriends distress Kanda shrugged and dropped his pants, pulling his shirt up and over his head.
"Jink wanted to talk about yesterday's shift. Mind if I join?"
Allen blushed a crimson red, the color spreading from his cheeks and to the tips over his ears, "Wh-what?"
The older male smirked, pulling his long dark hair from its ponytail and shaking it out around himself. The younger's heart beating wildly at the sight of his boyfriends bare chest, long shapely legs, and flowing hair.
"Give me some room Moyashi or I'll make some."
And then he dropped his drawers.
Allen was suddenly flooded with memories of the night before, strong hands holding him, cobalt eyes filled with lust and hunger. He was still covering his shame, making no move to give Kanda the room he demanded and his knees felt like they'd give out in a second, but the taller make just calmly stepped into the spray closely beside him and slid closed the curtain.
"You alright Moyashi?" He finally asked pulling Allen to his chest, cupping his chin so he could examine his face.
"Ye-yeah," he finally stuttered after swallowing the lump in his throat, hating how easily the man made his blood rage through his body, even when he wasn't trying, "You just surprised me, I was enjoying my privacy."
"I couldn't resist."
Allen rolled his eyes, his blush fading as he backed out of Kanda's chest and reached for the bar of soap once again.
"Don't drop the soap Moyashi."
"Too late Kanda, you should have made that joke in prison."
"I'm still an escaped con, doesn't that make me even more dangerous?"
"Ha, with the way you escaped? More like lucky to be alive."
Kanda was quiet at that last remark, no smart comebacks leaving him as he watched Allen rinse the soap out of his hair and off his skin, it made him feel funny to know Allen wasn't super pissed at him for almost dying on him. Deeply it worried him, that his Moyashi would hold against him something that was out of his control, but then he knew his pale boyfriend had been through far to much to think that way, that he wasn't the type of person to do something like that to someone he loved.
The lack of response made Allen grin slightly, he'd silenced the big mouth.
"I win," He stated casually, standing on his tiptoes for a moment to more easily plant a kiss on the elders handsome face, "winner gets to wash the losers hair."
Kanda raised an eyebrow, pushing his thoughts of the accident aside. The Moyashi was so strange, sexy and cute as hell, but strange in his ways. It was another reason to love him, he was himself, Allen was just... Allen.
"You want to wash my hair?"
"Yup" Allen answered simply squirting shampoo into a pale hand.
He pulled Kanda a little closer as his hands found the roots of those silky locks, fingers gently massaging that thick scalp of his, elated silver orbs gazing up into the menacing cobalt blue's that had slowly become his favorite color.
Kanda couldn't help the tiny innocent smirk that took his lips as he felt his heart rate rise, not from the heat of the water but from those molten steel eyes.
How the Moyashi could do these things to him he had no idea, even after having the boy twice; his simple movements, Allen's natural grace, could mesmerize him. It seemed even worse now actually, like the more he got, the more he needed. He could feel everything down to his bones calling for him, settling only with the thought of being his, having him.
He'd never reacted like this to anyone else in the past, sure he'd felt attraction and lust, but this... This was love.
Allen gathered the Samurai's hair on top of his head as he tried to rub the soap into the ends, laughing lightly at the sight of the soap hairnet he created.
Just a gentle brush of the Moyashi's thin digits could have Kanda completely relaxed or his blood catching fire in his veins. And it amazed him to no end.
Kanda let his eyes drift shut as he enjoyed the treatment, hugging the Moyashi to his chest and resting his cheek against the currently off-white drenched strands that were usually bounty towel soft, a sigh escaping him as he relaxed under the scrubbing.
They stayed like this for a while, his eyes shut gently like he was sleeping; he almost was sleeping at one point, leaning on his lover for a little support, letting his guard hit the floor. But then he opened them again when he felt the digits escape his locks, Allen shifting to swiftly wash the soap from his hands before taking hold of the curtain.
"Bye!"
"Oi! Moyashi where you going?" Kanda said disappointedly in confusion as Allen quickly stepped out of the shower.
"I'm clean now, hungry, and I'm starting to prune, have fun!"
Allen quickly wrapped the towel he'd left on the ground around his waist, taking another to dry his hair with before teasing Kanda with one last goodbye.
"Have a good shower sexy." He said with a wink and a grin that made Kanda blush in surprise.
"But Moya-"
The protest was cut off by Allen's quick door closing skills, the of rest of his nickname muffled by wood and running water as he fled the ugly room, an embarrassingly girly squeal coming from somewhere deep inside him.
He took a deep breath, calming his heart, steadying his suddenly jittery nerves. He'd never been like this before Kanda. He never had to hold back strange noise's like that one that escaped him, never caught himself holding his breath without realizing it. Never before had Allen looked into the dark eyes of a man and felt like they could drag him to heaven, like they were the only paradise on earth.
His entire body had almost stopped functioning when the taller male threw his safety walls to the side and practically lost consciousness while standing in his arms. Kanda had been so naked, emotionally and literally, it had been easy to see how relaxed he'd become, his features had been peaceful for once, and he'd been hugging the Moyashi like a child would their favorite teddy bear... And then literally as in, like, literally; no clothes, just skin and manhood.
He shook his head as shameful thoughts tried to take over, pushing them away as he towel dried his hair, another towel hanging from his thin frame. It wasn't like Kanda hadn't ever been so open before, there were a few times he'd let down his guard with Allen but it never ceased to amaze him, that Kanda could trust him, love him, so easily. Just as easily as he could, as easily as he did.
'Watch it all be a dream' he thought, finishing his drying and reaching for his bag to grab some cloths out of, 'watch it all disintegrate before me, only to sit up in a bed, in a horrible place, and forget everything faster then I could say goodbye.'
It was the most horrifying thing he had ever thought of, worse then any threat that had ever been held to his life, it was like the feeling of holding a knife to his own throat.
But he knew it wasn't a dream, it couldn't be a dream, you didn't feel pain in dreams and his ass stung like an angry bee.
Allen pulled a pair of worn black jeans from his bag and threw them on the bed, letting his towels slide to the ground as he rifled through his things. He pulled out some red plaid boxers and a deep crimson colored wife-beater, slipping them both on, pausing for a moment when he noticed the absence of running water.
Kanda sighed as he gave himself a once over with the shower head, and then shut off the water. He'd been really enjoying his shower time with the Moyashi, he was disappointed the younger had left so soon, it was the first time he was able to truly relax since they'd been ripped apart.
He stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel from the closet, drying himself in the warmth of the bathroom before pushing open the door that lead back into the master bedroom.
It was empty, Allen's bag left leaning against the foot of the bed still unzipped, a pair of wet towels left on the wooden floor lazily.
The samurai rolled his eyes as he towel dried his long hair, but he couldn't help the grin that crawled over his features none the less.
Damn it, it's just a pile of towels he left behind, how is that so endearing?!
If he'd fallen any harder he'd be dead.
When he heard a low clattering coming from the kitchen he dismissed the thoughts, picking up the mess of towels and clothes left strewn about the room. He gathered them inside the bed sheets, deeming it a pile of thing's to wash later and opened a dresser drawer in search of something to wear, mentally thanking Jink for having enough sense to move his stuff up here for him.
Lulubell had taken Kanda shopping the moment he could walk on his own, the costs to be covered in the time he spent working at the bar, he was really wracking up a debt to the Earl, but it was all the more reason keep Allen and his magically appearing family, happy.
He pulled on a pair of white undergarments and stark white skinny jeans that were as bright as his boyfriend's hair (half the reason he bought them), pulling a random t-shirt out of the dresser, and heading towards the source of the small clattering with it bunched in his strong grip.
He quietly followed the hall to the open frame that lead to the ridiculously homey kitchen, leaning against the entrance as he watched the scene before him, invisible to the bean sprout working in the kitchen.
Allen looked right at home in the grandma decor kitchen, pans sizzling on the out-of-place stainless steel stove, Allen searching with a thoughtful look through the cabinets, an open book in his hand.
'He just needs an apron and he'd be a regular house husband... heh, more like my sweet little Moyashi house wife.'
Images of Allen in an apron, greeting him with a kiss and a warm home cooked dinner as he walked in the door made him snort loudly without thinking, he couldn't tell if the thoughts were optimism for their future or just his own pervertedness again.
Allen didn't hear the noise Kanda made, too concentrated on his searching, so he almost jumped out of his skin when two strong arms snaked around his torso in a tight hug, a warmth spreading across his back and a hot breath dusting the crook his neck.
"K-Kanda," he breathed out in a relief laced sigh as he recognized that strong yet gentle grip, "you scared me again you ass, stop doing that."
Kanda gave a small smirk, the smell of bacon and eggs mixing with that strange lavender-ish scent that leaked from his boyfriends pours making his mouth water.
"Yeah, I felt you jump, good thing I was holding you in place because I wouldn't have helped you out of the ceiling."
"What a caring boyfriend you are." He gave a sarcastic hiss.
"Only the best for my Moyashi."
"How sweet." He deadpanned.
Kanda chuckled a little, before murmuring by the younger's ear, "Smells good."
Allen smiled, first time he's ever heard that, Cross usually just pointed out whatever faults he could find about Allen's cooking.
"Thank you, I hope you like eggs and bacon, I was going to use my cookbook to help me spice them up a bit but I can't find more then salt and pepper shakers up here."
"I wasn't completely talking about the food, something much closer smells a lot better."
Allen paused for a moment, both a little embarrassed by the comment and disappointed, but he was still grateful for any sort of praise from Kanda.
Noticing the moment of change in the air the samurai let his grip slip from the Moyashi's body, the white haired male immediately striding to the pans on the stove, using a spatula to make sure nothing had burned.
Kanda was silent a moment, studying his Moyashi with a slight frown, wondering why there'd been that second of sadness. Did he say something wrong?
"Oi, you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm just tired."
"... Did I say something wrong?"
"No, no," he spared Kanda a quick glance, "I'm just tired, and a little sorry for the condition of the spice rack in the cabinet."
He didn't believe him, but the Moyashi didn't seem like he was going to budge on the subject, so he'll drop it for now.
"Where did you get the food from?" He asked trying to change the subject, stepping over to a cupboard, frowning when it was empty.
"When I came out there was a note on fridge from Lulubell."
"Che"
"You should be thankful for this food, without it I'm not sure how much longer I would have lasted."
"Oi, no starving to death on me." More cabinet rummaging.
"Ha, I'd eat you before that happened, all those years of training gave you some nice muscle. A little lemon, some cilantro, paprika, oven roasted with a nice cream sauce, mmm~"
"You wouldn't eat me."
"And what makes you say that?"
Kanda grinned, reaching deeply into one of the higher cabinet's above the fridge that Allen couldn't reach without a chair, pulling out a small box of labeled spices. Allen spared him a glance because of the silence, shaking his head when he noticed the spice's, but rushing over to shuffle through the containers anyway.
"Thanks." He said as he rifled.
Kanda placed the box on the counter, Allen following the movements smoothly, looking at the spice's like an artist mixing colors.
"You wouldn't eat me," Kanda repeated as the Moyashi seemed to ignore him, gathering a few spice bottles in his arms, "because I wouldn't let you, I'd eat you first."
"...Oh?" Allen said calmly after a short pause from his shuffling, "And how would you stop me?"
"Cardboard cake in a rabbit trap."
Allen scowled at him, "I'm not that stupid," he mumbled throwing some spices in with the eggs before flipping them, "seriously, how would you stop me from eating you first?"
Kanda licked his lips and slipped behind Allen once again, letting himself line the younger's back, hands sliding under his wife beater, breath hot on his ear. "All those delicious muscles you talk so fondly of would help me hold you down while I lick your bones clean like a starving animal."
Silver eyes widened as something hot and wet pressed to the shell of Allen's ear, Kanda smirking as he gave a wet lick to his Moyashi's ear, feeling the male freeze up under him.
"You pervert!" He scolded him, but still leaned back into his strong chest, turning his head so he could see his cobalt eyes, "calm down, your not starving yet and the food's ready, get me a few plates, I made a lot."
"I can see that, sure that will feed us both?"
"I don't eat that much"
"Moyashi, you can eat more then what could fill the Grand Canyon."
The white haired male furrowed his brow's, scrunching his features into a pout, Kanda quickly pecking his lips.
"Just get the plates."
"Why should I get them?"
"Just get the plates or I'll eat it all right now, strait out of the pans."
"I thought you didn't eat that much."
"I said I don't, not that I couldn't, now get the plates you perv."
"Che."
For the next few months this would be how the ex-con's spent their mornings, with playful banter, teasing, and Allen's homemade cooking; which Kanda would regularly compliment him on after they'd bought some better ingredients.
Of course Yuu held up his deal with the Noah's, working to pay for his stay, even when the Earl insisted there was no need for it. The samurai claimed it was the honourable thing to do, but Allen would always dismiss it with a laugh, Kanda was totally being a suck up and trying to stay on his boyfriend's uncle's best side (plus Kanda refused to use anymore borrowed money).
Allen, on his uncle's request, would sometimes accompany Lulubell on her work, Kanda tagging behind in his refusal to let them walk into dangerous situations on their own. The Moyashi was able to thoroughly impress everyone with his extensive knowledge on not only the gang's nearby but most of the major gangs in the state, including a long list of popular hit man and bounty hunters.
"How do you know all of this?" Kanda had asked one time, during the drive to a cash collection point, "I know Crosses debt was bad but how many people did he owe?"
"Borrowing money was the only thing Cross was smart about," Allen replied shrugging his shoulders, "he'd borrow a little here, a little from there, until he owed a lot of people a very large collective amount and with me keeping up with the payments so I wouldn't be murdered in my sleep he earned an okay rep with paybacks. Word got around that he made payments, so they let him borrow a little more each time until it was too much and I couldn't keep up anymore... I ended up doing things that I'm not proud of, but I did it to survive..."
Kanda glanced back at him worriedly from the front passenger seat of Lulu's familiar grey dodge journey, Lulu staying quiet as she drove letting them have their moment, glad they trusted her enough to forget her existence. Allen stared blankly out his window, not really seeing the scenery as it flew by. Yuu just wanted to take the younger up in his arms, wanted to bring him back to today with a warm embrace, to assure him he'd never live that way ever again. But he also wanted to know what he meant when he said he'd done things he wasn't proud of, what had his sweet, innocent, stubborn Moyashi done?
"Things your not proud of?" He asked cautiously.
Allen sighed, shaking his head in shame, staying quiet for a long sad silence. The samurai sighed and was about to turn away, figuring he'd ask later that night when Allen spoke up.
"Stealing mostly," he mumbled, "cheating in poker, pickpocketing... sometimes I'd be drugged, kidnapped, sometimes I was threatened and tortured for days by the guys Cross borrowed way to much from... they didn't do more then beat me purple and burn me, stuff like that, with cuts they usually would go along my scar's to make them look worse, I was lucky that they didn't make new ones, but a few of the bosses let me work it off. I'd smuggle or spy on other gang's and sometimes they wouldn't trust me until I took a hit of whatever it was they where selling. Weed, crack, acid once, it was horrible but... I needed the money, I needed the little bits I could take, that they promised to take off..."
"Allen...'' Kanda whispered his name sounding like his heart was ripping in two.
Silver eyes left the passing scenery and found deep blue seas, pain shining in the shimmering greys, agony, pity, and anger brewing up a storm in the elder's gorgeous vision.
"It's alright, it's okay now, I'm okay now" he tried to assure his lover, but he spoke the words sounding so disheartened, he couldn't even pretend to believe them.
"It's not okay... Damn it, what else did those bastards do to you? Better yet, who did it?! Tell me so I can kill'em!" Kanda growled.
Allen gave him a small, weak smile, "You already beat Cross into a hospital for me..."
Kanda's features turned murderous at the mention of Crosses name, frown turning to a deep scowl, eyes practically glowing with malus, "And should I have killed him?" he almost snarled staring Allen down, daring him to downplay whatever else Cross had done.
"I-It wasn't much, just beatings when I was still a dumb teenager, especially when I was dumped on the front step by whoever had stolen me for a few days. He'd get mad that I was gone for so long and since he was usually drunk...yeah...even if I wasn't the same color as a human being anymore..."
When his vision began to blur Allen knew he was going to cry, quickly rubbing his eyes and looking down at his lap to stop the onslaught of tears that threatened to pour from him. He couldn't cry now, not on their way to a job, he'd look weak. He wasn't weak.
"Allen." Kanda's hardened tone cut through the sadness in the air around him and he looked up to see that the man had thrown his seatbelt off to the side and was struggling to push the seat back.
"K-Kanda what are you doing...?" He asked smiling pityingly at the way he struggled.
He didn't bother to answer the Moyashi, growling at the seat as he tried to make it lay back only to climb over it after it finally gave way. He crawled into the back of the car, Lulubell protesting loudly about how he was going to cause an accident, but he ignored her and slid next to his Moyashi.
"Come here." He demanded in a grumble, unbuckling the younger's seatbelt too.
He pulled the disgruntled male into his chest, strong arms holding the lithe body close, his slightly larger hands cradling him like he was the essence of all life.
"Never again," he mumbled into Allen's hair as he buried his face in the downy locks, "your safe now, those things will never happen again, I'll never let anyone hurt you ever again, as long as my heart beats in my chest your safe."
Now he was crying tears he couldn't ever possibly hold in. They rolled down his face as he slowly crumpled into Kanda, letting the man envelop him, legs stretched across his lap and on the seat, his cheek resting in the crook of his neck, the elders long silk strands falling from his shoulder to hide them.
Allen recognized the song "eye of the needle" by Sia playing on the radio and it made him squirm closer.
It had been a moment Allen would cherish forever, one of so many they shared during their stay with his Uncle's underlings. They could both agree that they spent their time wisely, together for most of it, learning what they could about each other over the time and only growing closer.
"Now boarding flight 314 at gate B"
It was a rainy day in May that they received the call from Uncle Earl that would tell them when they started their new lives.
"Moyashi hurry up!"
Using the Earl's phone, Miranda, Krory, and Jasdevi had called to wish them good luck, telling them to call and write more often, and the Earl threatened Kanda a little before sending them their new passports, plane tickets, and house keys.
"Kanda wait up!"
Allen still had no idea where they were going, even now as they hurried towards their gate, he hadn't paid enough attention to figure it out but frankly, he didn't care where they went.
He just wanted a warm safe place where they could live together in relative peace... a home.
He was going home.
"God your slow." Kanda grumbled rolling his eyes as he waited for Allen by the terminal to board their plane, their one carry-on in hand.
"And you're an ass"
"Glad we've got that established, can we get on the plane now?"
Allen rolled his eyes, stepping forward to board the hunk of flying metal, his boyfriend close on his heels.
They both looked around the cabin in interest as they found their seats, the last time either of them had been on a plane was over 10 years ago, they were both a little nervous.
As Kanda threw their bag into the overhead bin Allen took the window seat.
"You all settled?" Asked a flight attendant who was wandering the aisles to make sure everyone was comfortable.
She was a cute little thing, wide hazel eyes, long black curls, a kind smile gracing her lips.
"Yes thank you." Kanda replied stoically as he always did with strangers, Allen ignoring her in favor of day dreaming out the window, until he felt a rough hand take his.
He glanced down, frowning in confusion as he looked up, Kanda meeting his eyes and giving him a pleading look for help.
"P-pardon?" he stuttered.
"If you need any refreshments just hit the call button." She grinned, giving Kanda a saucy wink, clearly not noticing Allen or ignoring their intwined hands, a pang of jealously running through him.
"Thank you, but I have all the refreshments I could possibly need right here," he heard himself say loudly as his right hand reached out to clasp Kanda's cheek. He watched an embarrassed blush take the woman's cheeks from the corner of his vision as he pulled his boyfriends lips to his own, and it made him smirk into the soft appendages.
When the older man finally caught up with the situation and pushed back into the kiss and she frowned, flipping her hair, striding past them to continue her work somewhere else.
Kanda pulled back after he noticed the stewardess had walked away, amusement dancing in his eyes as they met Allen's steel orbs.
"What?" His Moyashi asked sounding both innocent and defensive.
"Che..."
Allen cocked his head to the side, surprised by the reaction.
"...Your cute when your jealous." Kanda laughed.
"I wasn't jealous!" he hissed crossing his arms and pouting childishly. It made the Samurai grin in satisfaction.
"Sure you weren't."
Allen turned away from him with a curt 'hmph', gazing out the window before muttering under his breath thinking Kanda couldn't hear.
"Doesn't matter, your mine anyway..."
Kanda felt the tug of a genuine smile on his lips, he was so happy now, they where both happy now, and he couldn't wait to see the look on the Moyashi's face when he realized where they were going. Kanda's father had taken him there once when he was young, his father had been invited to orchestrate for a large event that he couldn't remember the name of, but he could remember the city and its gorgeous lights, his fathers wonderful performance that had filled the open space with beautiful music. Ever since then he wanted to go back, even boasting to his father that he would live in a place where he would always be able to see the beautiful lights of that city, it was funny that now he would fulfill that childish dream... and he would share it with the only person he'd ever want to share it with, he'd be right there with him, hand in hand.
The sound of the 'seatbelt's on' sign lighting up had Kanda sighing from anticipation. They did as the sign told them, ignoring the stewardess that stood to far up for them to see the emergency precautions demonstration.
"I'm taking a nap, it's going to be a long flight." He told is young, fair haired lover, who nodded in acknowledgement before relaxing back in his chair.
Kanda's eyes drifted shut, hand still held in Allen's, neither of them taking their hands back.
He fell asleep with the slightest of smiles adorning his features. Something he'd done every time he slept next to his Moyashi.
Allen, on the other hand, gazed out his window, heart lifting with the plane as it headed down the runway, soaring with it as it carried them further and further from the place he'd hated living in for so long now. The strong hand clasped in his own loosely was enough to make him feel like his chest would burst open in excitement.
He was free now, from that debt, from prison, from Cross... his new life started the moment this plane touched down at where ever they were going.
He smiled at that thought. He was leaving it all behind and starting over. A new place with new people, a new home...
He gave a glance to the slumbering samurai.
...With a new family.
And he was making damn sure it went right this time.
This time, he'd be happy.
They would be happy.
