It is Shawn and Juliet's 6th Wedding Anniversary and Aaron's 5th Birthday.
Shawn got up that morning around 8:00 and got out of bed really quiet or at least tried to. He got out of the bedroom without waking Juliet or Maggie. He walked quietly down the hall and went in the kitchen and got out stuff to make breakfast. Shawn got out the pancake mix and the waffle iron and griddle maker and cooked breakfast. After he was done with that, he cut up some fruit and put it on everyone's plate and then fixed them orange juice. Shawn finally put the plates on the table and then went and woke up Brice and Cole up first.
Shawn walked into Brice's room and said, "Good morning."
Brice rolled over and said, "Hey daddy."
"Hey, I made breakfast."
"Really? What?"
"Pancakes for me and mommy and I made you boys waffles."
"Yum."
"Go sit at the table and wait for us to come and eat with you."
Brice got out of bed and walked over to Shawn and hugged him.
"I love you daddy." Brice whispered.
Shawn picked Brice up and put him eye level with him and said, "Brice, I love you too."
Shawn put Brice down and went and woke up Cole and told him to go wait at the table for them to eat.
Shawn went into Aaron's room and saw his baby boy sleeping with his stuffed pineapple wrapped in his arms. He walked over to the side of Aaron's bed and rubbed his back.
Aaron rolled over and slowly opened his eyes and whispered, "Daddy?"
"Yeah baby, it's me." Shawn said.
"Good morning."
"Good morning birthday boy."
"I'm hungry."
"Good, I made breakfast and I want you to go sit at the table with your brothers and wait for me and mommy to get in there. I will heat up your stuff when I get in there."
"Ok."
Aaron got out of his bed and walked down the hall with his stuffed pineapple still in his arms.
Shawn went into his bedroom and went over to Juliet's side of the bed and bend down and said, "Good morning my sweet wife of 6 years."
Juliet opened her eyes and saw her husband smiling at her.
"Hey you." Juliet whispered.
"Happy Anniversary." Shawn whispered.
"Happy Anniversary baby. I love you."
"I love you too. Let's get baby Mags up and let's go eat breakfast that I made."
Juliet got out of bed and checked her phone and then went into the kitchen and saw Shawn feeding Maggie.
"Happy Birthday Aaron." Juliet said.
"Hey mommy." Aaron said.
"How are you?"
"Tired."
"I see. You still have your pineapple."
"I know."
Juliet picked up the boys' plates and heated them up while Shawn was feeding Maggie.
Shawn finished feeding Maggie and burped her and then grabbed her Bumbo chair and put it on the kitchen table and put a head rest behind it for her.
Everyone ate breakfast and then Shawn ran to the back of the house and got Aaron's birthday gift from him and Juliet.
Aaron went and sat down on the couch next to Cole and said, "Is this for me, daddy?"
"Yes it is." Shawn said.
Shawn sat down and pulled Juliet into his lap and watched his son open his present.
Aaron tore open the box once he got all the paper off. He opened the box and found a HotWheel package.
"Thank you mommy and daddy." Aaron said.
"You're welcome sweet boy. Happy Birthday." Juliet said.
Shawn got up and ran to the back of the house and grabbed his gift for Juliet from his closet and went back into the living room and sat down.
"Now Juliet, I know you like your present at the end of the day when we have our own little anniversary alone later in the day, but since we have a newborn that wasn't an option. Here is your gift from me." Shawn said.
Juliet grabbed the bags from Shawn and opened the first one and saw the bracelet that he got her for every year that they have been together. She looked back in the bag and found her favorite beer and wine. Juliet looked up and smiled.
"There's more." Shawn said.
Juliet looked in the other bag and found a digital picture frame with all of the pictures that Shawn had picked out and put on there. Then she found the card and read it.
Juliet got off the couch and said, "Thank you baby. Happy Anniversary."
"Happy Anniversary Juliet. I love you too." Shawn said.
Juliet stood up and Shawn followed her movements and pulled her in for a passionate kiss.
Juliet pulled away and went to their room and got her gift for Shawn. She came down the hall and saw Shawn and Maggie sitting on the floor together.
"Shawn." Juliet said.
Shawn looked up and said, "Yes?"
"I have a little something for you."
Juliet walked towards Shawn and handed him his gift from her.
Shawn grabbed the bags from Juliet and looked in the first bag and saw a shirt that must have been made by Juliet and then he found a box. He opened the box and found nice cuff links with the letter 'S' on them. He finally pulled out the card and read it to himself. After he finished reading, he walked over to Juliet and said, "Thank you. I love those cuff links. I love the shirt also. Just a plain Psych T-Shirt."
"You're welcome. Did you like my card?" Juliet asked.
"Of course I did. I like how you said I am the richest thing that has ever happned to you."
"Well you are. I told you that the best things, the richest things don't come easy, but the moments that make sense the most happen when everything else doesn't."
"Yeah. I felt terrible about that moment. I never should have gone out with her."
"Shawn, that's over. She's dead. Now I have you."
"Jules, you mean so much to me. I don't think I can love anything else besides you, our kids, and Range Rovers."
"You really want one don't you?"
"Yes!"
"Let's go sell the other 2 cars that we don't use. The Camaro is brand new and only has been ridden in at least twice. We don't use my old car anymore. I use the Suburban."
"Ok. Let's go."
Shawn and Juliet went into their bedroom and got dressed to go to the car dealership.
"I'm gonna call Iris to see if she can come babysit for us." Juliet said.
"You think she can handle the boys and Maggie?" Shawn asked.
"Of course I do. She's 14 now."
"Ok, that's a responsible age, plus she is Karen's kid."
Juliet laughed.
Juliet took her phone and called Iris.
"Hello." Iris said.
"Hey Iris. It's Aunt Juliet." Juliet said.
"Hey. What's up?"
"Can you ask your mom to bring you over to babysit?"
"She is right here."
Iris handed Karen the phone.
"Hello?" Karen asked.
"Hey Karen. It's Juliet." Juliet said.
"Hey what's up?"
"Can you come over or let Iris come over and babysit for me and Shawn?"
"Absolutely. When?"
"Now. We are going to get Shawn a new car."
"What kind?"
"Range Rover."
"Ok. I will be there in like 5 minutes."
"Thank you so much."
Juliet hung up the phone and said, "We got 5 minutes until she gets here."
"Ok. Let me go brush my teeth. I'm not going to shave today. It's only a little scruff." Shawn said.
"Ok."
Shawn brushed his teeth and came out and called Gus.
"Hello?" Gus asked.
"Hey dude. Come over. We are trading in cars and we are trading in 3. I need you to drive one to the dealership." Shawn said.
"Ok. I'll park on the curb."
Shawn hung up the phone and got all the keys that went with all 3 cars that they were trading in.
Karen got there and Gus pulled up behind her.
Gus got out of the car and knocked on the door.
Juliet opened the door and said, "Hey Gus."
"Hey Jules." Gus said.
"Shawn! Gus is here."
"I'm coming." Shawn said.
Karen came up behind Gus and said, "Hello."
"Hey. How are you?" Juliet asked.
"I'm great. How are you?"
"I'm good. Didn't get much sleep last night."
"Why not?"
"Iris had a 'Welcome Home' party."
"That was sweet."
"Ok. Well, I better let you two get going."
Juliet nodded and grabbed the keys to her old car.
Shawn and Gus came from the back and Shawn grabbed the keys to the Camaro and Gus grabbed the keys to Shawn's old car.
Before leaving Juliet kissed Maggie on the forehead and then she left.
Shawn led the way and 10 minutes later, they pulled into the Land Rover dealership.
Shawn got out his car and went and got a salesman from inside.
A salesman came out with Shawn and said, "You are trading these 3 cars in?"
"Yes I am." Shawn said.
"How old are they?"
"Honda is 6 years old. Runs great. Camaro is like a year and a half. Only been driven twice. The Nissan is a year and a half."
"Ok. Mr. Spencer you have quite a good bit of money coming for you."
"I really want a Range Rover."
"Really?"
"Yep."
"Let's trade these in and I'll see how much you come up with."
The salesman walked inside and decided out how much each car is worth.
Honda: $10,050. Camaro: $55,555. Nissan: $15,000.
The salesman came out of the office and went up to Shawn and said, "Mr. Spencer you have $80,605 just from trading the cars today."
"Thank you so much. I will take the Black 2015 Range Rover Sport please." Shawn said.
"I will print out the paper work and let you sign it and then you are free to go."
The salesman walked back inside and Shawn, Juliet, and Gus followed.
They got inside and saw everyone in suits and doing work in their own little cubicles.
Shawn thought that this was the perfect job for him. He has a convincing personality and is a friendly guy. Maybe he needed a break from his old job.
"Jules." Shawn said.
"Yeah baby?" Juliet asked.
"Come with me."
Shawn walked over to an area in private.
"Jules, I want to work here." Shawn said.
"Ok. I think it would be a great job for you." Juliet said.
"Plus I'm off on Sundays so we could hangout on Sundays."
"I like it. Go ask him if they are hiring."
Shawn and Juliet walked back to Tommy's cubicle.
"Mr. Spencer, I am very happy to announce that you sir, are a proud owner of a Black 2015 Range Rover Sport." Tommy said.
Shawn signed the papers and said, "Hey Tommy, are you guys hiring?"
"Yeah man. We are. We actually lost a guy because of a new job offer."
"I'm interested in the job."
"You think you have what it takes?"
"I know he does." Juliet said.
"Mr. Spencer, come in Monday for an interview and we will work this out."
"Thank you so much Tommy." Shawn said.
Shawn and Tommy shook hands and then they left and went home.
On the ride home Gus spoke up.
"Shawn, are you sure you want to be a salesman?" Gus asked.
"Yeah. I need a little change in my life. I don't want to risk my life anymore. I have done that for 11 years. Time for a change." Shawn said.
"Gus, I think it is an amazing job for Shawn. He has that salesperson personality." Juliet said.
"You're ok with this Juliet?"
"Yeah. I'm proud of him for looking for new opportunities for him. Even though we won't work together anymore, we will still have our time at the house."
"Shawn you aren't scared about Juliet at the station alone?"
"I am. I know Karen and Carlton have her back. If I find out that they don't and haven't had her back, things will be said." Shawn said.
"Ok. I guess if this is what you want, I'm happy for you man."
"Thanks Gus."
Shawn pulled into his driveway and parked his new car in his spot.
They all got out of the car and went inside.
"Daddy!" Aaron said.
"Aaron!" Shawn said.
Karen got up and went over to them and said, "How did it go?"
"It went really well. Come and sit down on the couch for me." Shawn said.
Karen and the crew went and sat down on the couch.
"What's wrong Shawn?" Karen asked.
"Do you mind if I take a break from the SBPD?" Shawn asked.
"Why?"
"I have been doing this now for 11 + years and I was at the dealership today and I think I can do that job better than I can do the police job."
"Ok. If you need to come back, your office will always be open for you."
"Thank you for being so supportive Karen. Let's have some birthday cake."
Shawn got up and got Aaron's cake out of the fridge and put it on the table and put 5 candles on it.
They all sang "Happy Birthday" and Aaron blew out all 5 of his candles out at once.
"Yay!" Juliet said.
Shawn cut cake for everyone and then they ate cake and watched the pictures on the TV from the digital picture frame that Shawn got Juliet for their anniversary.
