Chapter 21:

"Ally." I muttered, my hand reaching up to caress her cheek.

"Austin." She mutters, her eyebrows knitting together in confusion. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle, before I leaned in to kiss her.

Ally's POV:

My eyes widen as Austin's lips connected with mine. I can hear Jelly in the background freaking out. And if it wasn't for my situation I'd be laughing.

Well. Don't just lay there! Kiss him back! Jelly shouts at me, making me blush as I slowly let my eyes shut.

Everything disappears around me as I kiss him back. It was as if we were the only two on earth (as cliché as it sounds). I felt him smile against my lips as he pulls me closer to him. I felt my heart flutter as I bring my hand up to place it over his. I give it a squeeze, my insides about ready to burst.

Is this really happening?

I'm not dreaming right?

Jelly? Pinch me.

As he pulled away, I let out a sigh. My eyes were still shut, afraid that if I open them I'll realize it was a dream.

"Ally." He mutters quietly, making me open my eyes.

"It's not a dream." I mutter quietly to myself, but I guess he heard it because he started laughing.

"Yeah. It's not a dream." I felt myself smile as I look up at him. "I remember everything."

He remembers. I thought to myself, my eyes widening. Everything?

I felt my heart race as I thought over what he said. Could it be that he remembers that night?

"Wait! Let me help you!" The blonde hair boy shouts, making his way up to me.

My eyes widen as I felt him grab a hold of my arm. I began to thrash about, but he quickly assures me, "I just want to help."

I felt a blush rush to my face as I allow him to carry me towards the ocean.

"So you remember that I -"

"Yeah I remember that you love me." Austin chuckles as he interrupted me. I couldn't help it but a sigh escapes my lip as I turned away. He doesn't remember everything.

"And I don't know if I told you yet, but I love you, too." Austin murmurs quietly, lifting my head up to look at him. I felt my heart clench in joy as we stare into each other's eyes.

"How?" I mutter quietly, quickly forgetting the problem at hand, searching his eyes. "How did you remember?"

"I don't know it just came to me when I saw your eyes." He mutters.

"Your chocolate brown eyes." He whispers, lifting a hand up to my face. My eyebrows knit together as he continues to stare at me. There's a faraway look in his eyes. And I'm beginning to think he's remembering something else, but the look quickly disappears as soon as he blinks.

He kissed me again, but this time it's a quick peck. "I missed you."

I couldn't help but smile at him. "I missed you, too."

He sits up, pulling me into his lap, before nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck. Making my heart race as a blush appears on my face. "I can't believe I forgot you."

"How could I do that to you?" He mutters into my neck, his breath tickling me. I let out a giggle, before muttering, "It's okay."

"No. It's not." He says sternly, tilting my head so I was looking at him. "I practically declared my love to you the day you left, only for you to come back and see me with another girl."

"It's okay. It wasn't like you guys were togeth-"

"But still. I know how much I hurt you. And I'm so sorry." He mutters, nuzzling into my neck again. I grin, loving the bubbly feeling I was getting.

I quickly get off his lap, kneeling before him to get a better look at him. He pouts at me, making me laugh before I reach out for his hands. I grab a hold of them and held them in my lap. "I forgive you okay? All that matters is that you remember."

He opens his mouth to say something, but I quickly cut off. "It wasn't your fault you lost your memory. You weren't in control of that."

He looks at me, giving me a small smile, which I return. We sit there in silence for a while, before it really dawned on me that he remembered. I let out a shriek before pouncing on him for a hug. "You remembered!"

He lets out a laugh as he falls backward, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Yeah. I remembered."

Well, he remembered everything but the fact that you're the mermaid that saved him. Jelly mutters, reminding me of his presence. I roll my eyes, grabbing a hold of my necklace, That's enough for now. Besides I can just tell him when the time comes.

I can practically hear Jelly's eye roll. I shook my head, before lifting myself off of Austin to look down on him. He smiles up at me and I couldn't help but pepper his face with kisses. "Gah. I still can't believe you remembered. I thought I was going to lose you forever!"

He laughs, before reaching up and pushing my lips towards his. I sigh into the kiss as he rolls us over so he's on top. He pulls away, smiling down at me.

"Woah! There! Let's keep it PG!" A voice cried. We both turn to see who it was. I felt myself grin as Trish, Nicky, Dez, and Nate make their way over to us. I quickly sat up, pushing Austin off in the process, before crying out, "He remembers!"

They all stop for a moment and turn to take a look at Austin, who was pulling himself up. They all give him a questioning look and Austin lets out another laugh before replying, "I remember!"

Dez and Nate both let out 'whoops!' as they ran towards him and tackle him down with a hug. Nicky and Trish jogged over to us, laughing as they watch the guys wrestle it out.

Are you serious? He remembers? Trish asks, making me look up at her. I nodded making them both squeal.

Minus the mermaid part, but yeah he remembers. Jelly answers. I roll my eyes at him, before reaching up to grab him. I gave him a noogie, muttering, "Oh quit being a downer on my parade!"

Just making sure you know, don't want your hopes too high. Jelly grunts as he struggles to get out of my grasp. I smile, knowing he meant well. So I let him go for a minute, before I grabbed a hold of him to give him a hug. Thanks.

I felt him smile as he lets out a small neigh.

"Okay. Seriously man. You remember? Don't joke with me here!" Nate asks, dusting the sand off his clothes, before pulling both Dez and Austin up. Austin turns to pull me up, before nodding his head. "Yes. Yes! I remember."

"I don't believe you!" Nate mutters, squinting his eyes at Austin. "Prove it!"

Austin lets out a laugh. He hasn't let go of my hand yet, so he swings it around before asking, "How?"

"What's my middle name?" Dez shouts, making us all turn to look at him.

"You don't have one." Austin mutters with a roll of his eyes.

"You're back!" Dez cries as he pulls Austin into another hug. Nate laughs and joins the hug. I turn to look at Nicky and Trish. The three of us roll our eyes.

"You know this suppose to be a group hug!" Nate murmurs, lifting his head to look at the three of us, before grabbing a hold of Nicky and pulling her in. She lets out a shriek, a blush clear on her face. Dez and Austin both lift their heads to look, a smirk growing on their faces as they both pull me and Trish into their hug.

I couldn't help but laugh as Austin squeezed me into his side.

You know, just because they can't see us doesn't mean we shouldn't join the group hug! Jelly shouts, making Trish, Nicky, and I look up at the three of them. Poof, Squirt and Jelly let out a giggle before jumping into the hug, making Trish, Nicky and I laugh.

This reunion couldn't have been any better.

"So you really do remember everything?" Nate asks, as the 6 of us sat on the tables outside the aquarium.

Apparently the class wasn't done exploring yet, so we decided to use the time to just chat and catch up on things.

"Yup!" Austin said popping the 'p'. He gives my hand a squeeze as he gives me a sideways glance. I blushed, looking away.

"And I'm assuming that you two are together?" Dez asks, a smirk upon his face.

Austin looks at me and gives me a smile, before saying, "Yup!"

I couldn't help but laugh. I missed his childish behavior.

"Well good. I thought you were going to end up with Cruella DeVille over there!" Nate mutters, pointing his thumb back to the aquarium. Nicky gives him a jab to the ribs, making him shout out in pain.

"You don't have to be so mean about it." She scolds him. He opens his mouth to protest, but Trish quickly interrupts him. "Wait, where is she anyways? You think as soon as she catches sight of Austin she'd be here in a split second!"

"She left a while back. Something about her parents." Dez muttered in thought.

That's odd. Trish comments, making me turn to look at her. Both she and Nicky are giving me a look. What? I asked with a tilt of my head.

You know what. Trish murmurs back. I bit my lip shaking my head at them.

"So," Dez began, turning to look at Austin, "Want to tell us how you got on the beach?"

Nicky, Trish, and I all share a look, before we turn to look at Austin. It never crossed our mind what Austin was going to say about all this. After all he was pretty much unconscious for most of the events that occurred in the past hour. But thinking about it, makes me wonder how Gabriel even got a hold of him.

"I-I really don't know what happen actually." Austin replied, his eyebrows knitting together. There's a silence as we all watch Austin quietly.

"The last thing I can remember… was talking to Amy." He murmurs quietly. I felt Trish and Nicky's stare on me along with Jelly's presence beside me. Ask him what he and Amy were talking about.

"What?" I asked, turning my head to him.

Ask Austin what he and Amy were talking about. He states again, turning to look at me. And before I could argue, I felt all eyes on me as someone cleared their throat. I turn to look at everyone, as I found my bottom lip wedge between my teeth.

"Do you remember what you and Amy were talking about?" I ask attentively as I turned to look at Austin. He's thrown off a bit, but then he shuts his eyes as if trying to play the scene back in his hand.

"I...I had just met Trish and Nicky in the hall." He begins, eye squeezing shut. "They had just left, when I turned the corner and bumped into Amy."

From looking through the corner of my eye, I can see Nicky and Trish leaning forward along with Jelly, Squirt and Poof.

"She… she… wanted me to follow her. I…I asked her why. And… and she said to just follow her. And I told her no!" Austin exclaimed slightly. "And then she got all frustrated and was just pouting in front of me, when my head started to throb. And after that…nothing."

Confusion swept over me as I turned to look at Trish, Nicky, Jelly, Squirt, and Poof. There was one thought running through all of our minds and I couldn't run from it any longer.

There was no use denying it.

We were all in danger.

And it was all because…

Amy was a siren.

WOAH. The unspoken has been spoken! They officially know that Amy is now a siren. I WONDER HOW THIS IS GOING TO SPICE THINGS UP ~
