Okay so those of you who don't know why I was gone for so long, well i told y'all on my other stories check out my AN on the latest chapters. and as for the question as to why 'make love' was not on my alternative sex list was because 1) not every term I know was on that list and 2) I believe that making love and just plain old sex is completely different and should be treated as such...therefore it does not belong on a list with 'feeding the kitty'

Kagome POV:

When we got to the next attack site I was shocked, not because of the bleeding people and destroyed town but because Inuyasha's brother was there, covered in blood and from the looks of it, short of an arm. I gasped and turned to Inuyasha, "Inuyasha!"

He nodded and got out of the car, I stumbled out after him. We walked up to his brother who despite the missing appendage looked as stone faced as ever, Inuyasha took hold of my hand and stroked it gently with his thumb, I couldn't decided who he was trying to reassure; me or him. He looked his brother up and down, I wondered what it must be like, seeing that with his advanced vision, I couldn't imagine it would be pretty. Apparently it wasn't because the first thing that came out of Inuyasha's mouth was, "You look like crap man."

I gave him my best 'what the hell?' look and elbowed him in the stomach, "Sesshomaru, what happened?!"

Sesshomaru slid his cold glare to me, "I met with Naraku, he broke my cellphone and tried to kill me."

Inuyasha snorted, "we can see that."

I sent him another glare, "are you okay Sesshomaru?"

He gave us a short nod, "I came here because I could not contact father and tell him Naraku's true intention. I figured you would like to know and you could contact father."

I furrowed my brow's, "Isn't he trying to kill me to get to Inuyasha?"

"No. He is trying to kill Inuyasha to get to you, he's grown obsessed with you human."

Inuyasha's growl erupted beside me and I squeeze his hand for reassurance, "well that's...quite the plot twist."

Inuyasha looked at me shocked, "how can you be so calm about this?! that lunatic is after you!"

I gave him a soft smile, "Inu...No matter what he was after me now its just in a...different way."

Inuyasha pulled me tightly to his chest and growled lowly, I was sure I was going to have bruises and it was a little hard to breath but something told me he needed this so I just let him hold me tightly and leaned further into him. He stroked my hair, still growling, "to us, in a way, another having our mate is worse than them dying."

I frowned, "does that mean if he managed to...achieve his goal, you wouldn't want me anymore?" I looked up at him, tears in my eyes. I wouldn't know what to do if Inuyasha didn't want me anymore, I honestly don't think I could live without him, the mere thought of living without him by my side hurt. The thought of him rejecting me hurt more.

He whimpered slightly, obviously catching my thoughts, "No baby, I would always want you. always. I would just hate myself for letting anything happen to you."

I nodded, "You should call your father, I'm going to see what the people here need."

I could tell he was reluctant, but I also knew he would never go back on his deal with me, he sighed and nodded, "be careful mate."

I nodded and walked off into the rubble of what used to be a town, looking around I saw...no one. I frowned as I walked wondering where everyone was, there were reported survivors here so they couldn't have just up and disappeared, maybe a bloody Sesshomaru scared them into hiding. Deciding that this must be the case I called out to the empty streets, "HEEELLLLOOO?!"

I heard the fait sound of a door opening and closing before a hand closed over my mouth,scaring the crap out of me, "shhhh! your going to alert him!"

I nodded and the man let go of me, I turned to see a bruised man with blonde hair looking down at me, "don't worry Sesshomaru won't hurt anyone."

Inuyasha must have felt my fear because before the other man could answer me, he was in my head, "mate are you okay?!"

"don't worry baby, one of the people just scared me I'm okay." I turned my attention back to the blonde man who was frowning at me, a look of fear in his eyes. To say it didn't worry me would be a lie, "...what?"

"I am not talking about the silver haired royal, I am talking about the one who came here shortly after."

"Inuyasha? my mate?"

He shook his head, "no the one before him."

I frowned, "one before h-"

Suddenly the man grabbed my arm, "RUN!"

I didn't know what happening but followed anyways, looking back I saw a man with long black hair walking down the street, "ITS JUST SOME GUY WHATS WRONG?!"

"THAT IS NO HUMAN MISS!"

My eyes widened in realization, It was the other demon. The one that has everyone in hiding, I pulled my arm from the man and pulled out my arrows facing the demon. I turned my head to the man, "Go get my mate and his brother at the front of the town."

The man hesitated before nodding an running off yelling that he would be back soon.

I raised my bow to the demon who was now no more than 15 feet away, He stopped in the street an cocked his head to the side, "Kagome, my princess, there is no reason to raise arms."

I hesitated slightly, this demon addressed me as his princess as did all others I had come by so far, Inuyasha had told me that it was because after the interview I had gain the resect of much of the demon community. So after my small hesitation I lowered my bow, "my apologies may I ask who you are? The people here seem to fear you."

He nodded, "many people who were attacked fear demons in their town."

I didn't miss the fact that he had avoided my question, "that's true..who are you?"

Suddenly he was right in front of me, "you know me my dear, my name is Naraku."

He was on me before I could scream.

Inuyasha POV:

A man with blonde hair suddenly ran up to me and my brother as I hung up with my father, we were supposed to come back home immediately and I couldn't agree more. I narrowed my eye's at the man who reeked of fear, "who are you?"

He was breathing heavily, "not...important...your mate."

Suddenly all of my attention was on the man, "what about Kagome?!"

"She needs your guy's help."

I reached out to Kagome in my head getting nothing, there was no way she would of blocked me out. I was off in an instant. running towards her sent. It stopped in the middle of the street, where her bow and arrows lie. I don't know how long I stood there staring at the discarded weapons but it must have been a while because my brother and the man came walking up to me, the man gasped, "..the black haired demon must have done something to her."

I didn't need any further explanation, without my consent a roar of pure rage an anguish ripped itself from my lungs, "NARAKU!"

I was about to run off in any direction, I didn't care where I just had to find my mate, my Kagome before the bastard hurt him. I never got the chance before my brother hit the back of my head and everything went black.

a few hours later

I woke up in my bedroom, strong metal cuffs keeping me chained to the wall, not giving me more than five feet of slack to move. I couldn't remember what happened to me for a minute, but then it all came rushing back, "KAGOME!"

My door burst open and Sango, Rin, and my mother rushed in pulling me into a hug I really didn't want, all I wanted to feel was my mates arms around me. Her sent was still in my room but it wasn't enough to fool myself into thinking she was still there, I didn't have the option of denial like most people did during tragedy, my mate was missing and I failed to protect her. I smelled salt in the air and turned my head to see Sango crying on my shoulder, if anything I would expect her to punch me, not cry on me. I kind of hoped she would punch me, I deserved it for losing Kagome. She looked up at me with tears still streaming down her face, "Its okay Inuyasha, it's not your fault we'll get her back."

I felt a whine escape my throat and my voice cracked as I spoke, "No its not okay! I'm her mate, its my job to protect her and I failed!"

My mother brushed my hair back, "it's not your fault Inu-boo. Naraku is a sneaky bastard."

I stayed silent, it was my fault I should have tried harder to get her to come home, I should have dragged her back if I had to. and I damn well should have stayed by her side. I was an idiot for letting her go off alone. Finally after what felt like forever I spoke, "girls can you let me go and unchain me."

My mother frowned while Sango and Rin sniffled quietly, "Inu-boo we cant let you go...you'll go run off to try to find Kagome."

Hearing her name hurt, it felt like a million knives piercing my heart, the words I was about to say hurt even more, "I won't. I just need to see dad and feel like I could go after her. I don't want to stay chained here feeling helpless."

My mother nodded slowly and the three girls started removing my chains, I was out the door immediately I needed to see my father. When I reached my fathers office and swung open the door he was talking to a now cleaned up Sesshomaru. My brother left when I walked in, my father turned to look at me, "Son..."

I nodded, "I know dad. I lost her..and I don't know what to do."

He looked at me sadly, "we are going to get her back son, she is family, my daughter in law."

I nodded again, my throat thick with sadness, "How is her mother and brother?"

"Sad, worried, but they do not blame you and they have faith she will return as well."

This warmed my heart slightly, I know I would not have had the same understanding had I been in their shoes had it been Shippo who had been taken, my eyes widened then, "and my pup?"

My father hesitated for a second, I could not remember the last time he hesitated on anything, "He is not so well, he has locked himself in his room crying and refused to come out," He sighed sadly, "Son can you feel Kagome, how she is doing?"

I tried to get a feel on how she was doing and again I got nothing, "no...I can't, dad..."

"She will be okay son, she is such a strong girl and she will try her best to get back to you as we will do our best to find her. but right now, there is nothing we can do."

My demon raged, demanded I go hunt down Naraku and save my mate, even if it killed me. But even if it was the most painful thing I had ever done, I ignored it, "I'm going to check on my pup."

My father nodded, "that would be for the best."

With a heavy heart I walked from my fathers office to go face my pup, I hadn't thought about it before but I failed him too by failing to protect the first women to show him love in such a long time.

Okay wow, so that..that sucks, I feel bad for Inu and almost went to delete that but ehhh it sounded good, see y'all with the next chapter soon.
