Ch 25 The Premonition

It's cold and darker than any place I've ever been in. For a moment nothing exists, no movement, sounds, just darkness. My eyes finally opened and suddenly all I could see was blue. I blinked once then twice, realizing that I'm floating.

Where am I?

I looked around and took note of a figure beside me, also floating. I tried to make out the person but for some strange reason I couldn't move. Panic stirred within me as I looked down. A large seatbelt has been strapped across my chest. I yanked and pulled on the belt but it didn't budge. Bubbles expel from my lips.

Bubbles?!

My lungs suddenly catch fire. I couldn't breathe. I clawed at the belt now, yanking and scratching, struggling within the depths of the water. The light is slowly getting darker and darker by the second. Fear is crawling through my veins as it is confirmed that we are falling further and further down, sinking. I kicked at the passenger window, the door, and even at the figure beside me. Nothing. My fingernails dug into the belt. Spots of blurry vision began to take over. I gazed out the front window. Another shadowy figure is floating right outside, staring heavily into the car. A crooked smile is on its face, eyes red with fervor. For some strange reason there is a chain wrapped around its waist, a heavy anchor pulling the figure down.

"MY TURN!"

I gasped loudly as I shot up from bed. I quickly leaned over the side and coughed up a large amount of -

What the hell is this?! Salt water?

My throat burned like fire. Small tears leaked out from the sides of my face as I continued coughing and gasping for breath. Sweat was dripping from my forehead. My body was shaking uncontrollably. I looked around the room, alert as ever. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and tried to dial Tina. My hands continued shaking like a wet dog as I finally put her number in. The phone rang a few times before she finally answered.

"Hello." came the groggy reply.

"Hey, it's me. I need to talk to you." I breathed into the phone.

"Quinn? Hey, look can we talk about this tomorrow? It's like 4 am and I-"

"It's an emergency." I stated as I leapt from the bed.

The other girl sighed heavily, mumbling something under her breath. A few moments later she finally spoke. "You have my full attention."

I bit the edge of my nail, pacing around the room. "I-I had a dream."

"Seriously? That's what you called me for? I thought you said this was an emergency!" the other girl groaned out.

"Temp, you don't understand. I dreamt that I was in a car, drowning. And when I woke up I puked up a lot of water."

"What? How is that even possible?" Tina asked, sounding more awake.

"I have no fucking idea. That's why I'm calling you."

There was a moment of silence before Tina said, "Tell me everything that happened in the dream."

I ran my hand through my hair, turning on the light in the process. "I was in a car, a car that was sinking into some sort of body of water. There was somebody next to me in the driver's seat but I couldn't tell who it was. I was strapped into the car and I couldn't get out. I couldn't breathe. It felt like I was drowning. The more I tried to struggle the worse it got. When I finally couldn't take it anymore water was just everywhere…. My mouth, my throat. I thought I was going to die. The last thing I was able to see was someone watching me outside the car. And just before I woke up they said, 'My turn.' And that's it."

"I don't understand." Tina remarked.

"Which part?" I asked.

"All of it."

"How do you think I feel? I just almost died in my dream!" I exclaimed.

"That's strange. I didn't really think we could do that." Tina murmured.

"Do what exactly?" I asked.

"Soul walk."

"Soul WALK?"

"Yeah, you know when a person sleeps but somehow is able to soul walk to other places in the world. Sometimes to-"

I shook my head. "No… that's not what this was."

"How do you know that? Maybe someone was calling out to you and since you're you, you were able to receive whatever message they were trying to tell you."

"What is that supposed to mean? Because I'm me?"

"Well, we aren't exactly like regular mortals."

"Temp…" I groaned out, sensing a long and complicated speech.

"Just hear me out, aright. But as you know, we are special because of what we are. And there are things that we can do but they can't."

I scrunched up my face. "Like what?"

"Haven't you noticed that we can do just about anything an experienced human can? We can pick things up and learn them within minutes, mastering what takes mortals years to learn. Our physical strength is a lot more increased along with our agility and speed. Our senses are greatly heightened. We can see visions and know when danger is approaching."

My mind started reeling. "How do you know all of this?"

"Simple observation Quinn, unlike you, I've actually been paying attention to my human self."

"I've never really noticed anything different because I thought this was normal to me."

Tina made a small noise of excitement. "Well it's not to the humans."

"So you're saying we have superpowers."

"I'm not saying that. I'm just saying we aren't your average human beings. Think of us as the newest and upgraded version of the iphone."

"Well that's a way of putting it." I mocked.

Tina sighed. "Look, I don't really know for sure if what I'm saying is true. Maybe we do have superpowers… I mean I don't know. This is all speculation of course. But seeing as how we are different I wouldn't just ignore it."

"Like I could ignore almost being killed in my dream!" I huffed out. "Heck, at this rate I might not even complete this pilgrimage if my dreams are trying to kill me!"

"Don't be so dramatic." Tina groaned. "You're starting to sound like Rachel."

I rolled my eyes and sat back down on the bed. "What is this supposed to mean?"

"Maybe…. it's a- warning or something."

I bit the inside of my lip, listening to her words unravel in my mind. "A warning?"

"Yeah, you know, like a premonition of what's to come."

"So I'm going to drown in a lake while someone is creepily watching me."

"Yeah." Tina agreed.

I let out a loud groan and shook my head. "You are not helping at all."

"I'm just as confused as you are. But unfortunately there isn't much we can do about it tonight."

"You're right. But, I'm kind of scared to go back to sleep now." I murmured.

"I'm sure it's not going to happen twice in one night. I'll bet you're going to be fine. If, however it does happen again, call me."

"Alright. Thanks for talking with me."

"No problem. Try to get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day." Tina sighed.

"Goodnight Tina."

"Goodnight Quinn."

I hung up the phone and looked down at the small wet carpet stain. My eyes stared into it. My mind was drifting off to the scene in my head. An eerie feeling began to take over me as I recalled those red eyes. Maybe Tina was right. Maybe this was a premonition.

I mindlessly walked along the halls, my head in a daze. I hadn't gotten much sleep because of the dream. It was all I could think about. Was I in danger? Is somebody watching me? Who? I tried to wrap my head around it and unsteadily gazed around the hall, eyeing everyone. There were dozens of people just staring back at me.

Is it one of them? Could they be the one?

My body bumped into someone. I quickly apologized and continued on my way. As I turned the corner my pathway became blocked. I looked up. Rachel. I could feel Rachel's soft hand on my arm, halting my movements.

"Hey are you alright?" Rachel asked, her tone laced with worry.

I shook off my eerie dread and put on a wide smile. "Rachel, hey! I didn't see you there."

Rachel scrunched up her face, her eyes staring into me. "You literally just bumped into me." She pointed out.

I let out a short laugh. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize."

"Are you really okay? You don't seem like your normal self."

"Yes I'm fine. I didn't get much sleep last night."

"You really don't look well. Maybe you should see the nurse?"

I shook my head. "Don't worry about me. I'll be alright. I'm just a little tired that's all. Nothing I can't handle."

"Oh, well if there's anything I can do for you-"

"You know, I think you are right. I think I'll skip my next class, maybe try to get some sleep. I'll be fine."

"Well if you want the company." She offered.

"No you should head to class. Your dad will get mad. You also have NYADA to think about. So don't let me get in the way."

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes. I'll see you later." I nodded back.

Rachel gave me an unsure smile, her hand rubbing my shoulder. She didn't want to leave. I could tell. But I needed to be alone. Finally she gave me one final look before heading down the opposite way, leaving me alone with my rambunctious thoughts. I stared after her, worried. Is she in trouble too?

I headed off into the direction of the atrium. The place was quiet and peaceful. I sat down on a bench, extending my feet out. A loud movement made my head dart in that direction. My heart started racing fast as I stood. My legs slowly carried me to the direction of the noise. As I looked down a figure shot up from out of nowhere. I squinted harshly as I tried to regain my breath.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Santana Lopez growled out.

I took a step back, clearly shocked to see her. "None of your business. What are you doing here? Sleeping?" I asked, noticing her cheerleader jacket wrapped around herself and her wild messy hair.

"It's none of your fucking business either."

"Aren't you supposed to be in class?" I threw out.

"I could ask you the same thing blondie. But I won't because I really don't give a shit about you."

I bit the inside of my lip and let out a loud snort. I shook my head and turned back around, gathering my stuff.

"Is this where you and the hobbit were going to fuck?" she asked out loud.

I whirled my head around. "Excuse you?"

"You heard me."

"I'm not going to answer you."

"Don't even try to deny it. My gaydar is off the roof whenever you two are in the same room. It's the reason she broke up with fish lips right?"

I continued to ignore her and grabbed my backpack off the bench.

"Wow….So you guys really are fucking then huh?" she remarked.

"Fuck off Santana." I fired out.

"That is so fucking gross." She commented.

I spun around and eyed her. "Gross you say? Do you really think I care about what you think or what anyone else does?" I asked rhetorically. "There is only one person in this entire world that I will ever care about. And I love her. I love her more than my own life. People are always going to have their opinions, thinking, saying, dictating, what others should do with their life. As humans we are mere creatures of habit. If one does not conform to society everyone will try to 'fix' the problem. Don't you agree?"

"What is this bullshit about?"she asked, her eyes growing wide.

"What I'm saying is that I love who I love and I'm not ashamed of it. This is who I am. And she is who I love. If you ever want to be happy then you need to accept yourself first. Society is never going to change. Some people will hate you for who you are- what you are. But this is your life to live."

Santana looked at me as if she had just been caught murdering someone."I-I don't know what you are talking about." She spoke with despair.

"You really want to know what's GROSS? It's GROSS that a beautiful girl like Brittany confesses her love to the girl she loves and gets rejected. It's GROSS that you fear society more than losing the girl you love. It's GROSS that you cannot accept love and have it returned back. It's GROSS that you are letting the love of your life go and doing nothing about it. It's GROSS that Brittany Pierce has wasted away her first love with a pathetic, cowardly loser like you."

Once I was finished I looked the Latina straight in the eye. Her face was trying hard not to crumble. But her eyes are what gave her away. From where I stood small tears were pooling behind her eyes. Her lip was barely quivering but I could see it clear as day. I sighed heavily and looked down at the ground, a bit ashamed of myself. She had gotten under my skin again and I let my anger do the talking.

"There is nothing gross about love Santana." I exclaimed with an airy tone.

At that point I quickly grabbed my stuff and scurried off back to the hallway, anger and frustration etched onto my face. There isn't anything in the world I wouldn't do for Rachel Berry. Anything….

Maybe this was a bad idea?

Time was of the essence. I mindfully chewed myself out for not being prepared. I should've Rachel prepared but I didn't and now I'm the one rushing in the end. I hastily ran to my closet and threw out everything I owned and started stripping. I put on at least half a dozen outfits before I stuck with a tight black dress. I pulled my hair back and rushed off towards the bathroom. I tried to remember how Brittany had done my makeup on the night of the party. Luckily I memorized her exact directions and was able to create what she had done. From the mirror I checked my appearance. To the naked eye you definitely couldn't tell that I had gotten ready just thirty minutes prior. But to my eye I could see the small specs of flaws shining through. I briefly swept my thumb underneath my eyes, seeing a large cloud of darkness. The lack of sleep was getting to me.

I heard movements coming from the hall. Lilly popped her head into the doorway, smiling. When she looked me up and down her smile slowly dropped into a question mark.

"Are ya going like that?"she asked.

"Yeah why? What's wrong?" I asked worried.

"Ya guys goin' clubbing on a first date er what?"

I looked down at the dress. "Is it too much?"

Lilly scrunched up her face. "Baby girl, I'd say it was a bit too much. Tone it down a bit. First off, the dress, switch it up for something less eccentric. Go with one of those sundresses. And here." She started wiping down my face a bit. "There, now we can see you."

"Go get the dress." She ordered.

I jogged into my room and picked up a white sundress that was hidden on the corner of the bed. I threw it on and rushed back to the bathroom.

"Last thing." Lilly instructed as she reached over and pulled my hair down. "You've got such pretty hair. Ya need to let it down."

DING DONG!

A whole wave of nerves rushed over me. Lilly, squealing with excitement, practically ran off down the hall. I groaned in frustration as I looked myself over in the mirror. Did I look okay? I peered in closer to the mirror. The girl reflecting back looked horrified.

"Hi, my name is Quinn Fabray. I'm a current Guardian, living as a mortal being. Anndddd….. I'm going on my first date with my ward."

Voices were pouring in from the living room. I felt uneasy and could feel myself sweating.

"QUINN! Get out here. Yer date is here!"

I breathed uneasily. "I've fought many wars. But this…. Is something entirely more frightening."

I pulled myself away and out of the bathroom. I traveled along and entered the living room. Rachel and Lilly were waiting. Rachel was wearing a black and white blouse with black leggings. Her hair was down in waves. She was wearing only the slightest hint of makeup and a touch of lip gloss. I could feel myself freeze up. She looked beautiful!

"Wow, Quinn. You look gorgeous." Rachel puffed out.

I nodded, my mouth feeling like cotton candy. "Thanks."

Rachel made a small face before turning her attention to Lilly. "Thank you for your hospitality. We should be on our way. What time is our reservation at?"

"It's at 8:30." I replied back hoarsely.

Lilly smiled. "Well you girls have fun now. Don't stay out too late."

"We won't. She will be back before midnight." Rachel nodded.

I made my way for the door and opened it. Rachel breezed past me and smiled. I looked over at Lilly who gave me a thumbs up.

"Just relax. Stop being so nervous. You remember the backup plan right?"Lilly asked.

"You can tell? Is it bad? And yes, I've got the backup stored away. " I pointed straight to my head.

"Ya look like yer about to pass out."

I eyed her and glared. "Duly noted."

I slammed the door and took off towards Rachel's car. She was waiting on the passenger side. When I got nearby she was about to open the car door for me but I was a bit quicker. Our hands awkwardly grabbed onto the handle. We both released the handle as if we had been burned.

"Oh, gosh I'm sorry." I expelled.

"Oh… no I'm sorry. I assumed I was opening the door." She squeaked out.

I shook my head and let out a high pitched laugh. "Right."

Rachel glanced at me, studying me for a bit. "Are you okay?"

I swallowed heavily. "I'm fine."

"Okay." Was all she said before she opened the door.

I got in just as she carefully shut the door. I sighed. My hands were shaking and my stomach was turning into knots. This was going to be a long date.

We hadn't said much on the way to the restaurant. Or mostly, I hadn't said much. For some strange reason I couldn't talk much. Anything that I did say would wind up coming out completely different than what was intended. Words and speech were failing me tonight. Rachel turned into the parking lot of Toni's Italian Cuisine. It was a placed I know she had been dying to go to. I had set up a reservation a few weeks ago in advance.

The inside of the restaurant immediately took my breath away. The walls were made up of some type of dark cherry wood. The windows were covered with stylish red plaid curtains. Classical music was drifting through the background of the restaurant. A strong aroma of basil and oregano greeted my senses. As I gazed around I noticed that everyone was dressed to the suits and dresses. I felt a bit underdressed as I looked down at my dress.

"Hi, name for the reservation?" the lady at the station asked.

"Quinn Fabray. Party of two." I answered back.

The woman scrolled through the computer, her eyes squinting, searching.

"Alright Ms. Fabray please have a seat. We will be with you shortly." The lady announced.

Rachel and I took a seat on some seats and waited. After about an hour wait we were finally led to our seats. The woman took us all the way to the back of the restaurant right by the kitchen. I bit the inside of my lip and shook my head.

"Hi, I'm sorry, but these weren't the seats I requested/reserved." I spoke out.

The woman pinched her lips together. "I do apologize, we had to move you. One of our previous guests that was here before had unintended guests arrive so we had to accommodate them."

A frown etched itself on my face. "I see, but I specifically reserved THAT table for THIS specific time. IN ADVANCE! I did not receive a call that notified me of the current situation. Had I known that you had given my table away I would have reconsidered-"

"Quinn, this is fine. Really." Rachel whispered in my ear.

I stopped and looked at her, frustrated. "Are you sure?"

"Yes." She nodded.

I licked my lips and took a steady breath. "This is fine."

"I'm sorry about that Ms. Fabray. I will make sure to talk with your waiter to get you guys squared away, on the house." The woman chimed.

"Thank you." I nodded.

As we sat down two men out of nowhere helped us into our seats. I felt a bit uneasy at the action. Judging by the look Rachel gave me she too felt it. There was a small candle in the center of the table. We were both handed menu's. I grabbed mine and started going through it. My eyes grew large as I looked at the prices.

A tall thin pale man with a large brown mustache made his way to our table. His face was littered with small freckles. His nose was thin and dove out like a pinched bean. His brown beady eyes casually checked both Rachel and I out before placing a large yellow smile on.

"Hello ladies, my name is Trevor and I'm going to be your server tonight. How can we get you both started today?" He asked.

"Water for me." Rachel started off.

"Me as well." I nodded.

"Evette, our hostess, just informed of your situation. Again I do apologize on behalf. So what's the special occasion for the night? Treating your lovely friend out to dinner?" He asked Rachel.

Rachel smiled politely, looking over at me, as if asking for approval. I nodded my head and smiled.

"Actually we are on our first date. " She said brightly.

The waiter lifted up his nose as if he had gotten a whiff of some awful stench. "Date? As in you two are-"

"Yes." Rachel replied back, staring at the man with studious eyes.

The waiter pinched his lips together and eyed the two of us. "Neither of you could find a boyfriend? Or did you guys just give up and settle for each other?" he asked.

"Excuse me?" I stated in a loud tone.

The waiter flinched, his eyes turning to me. He looked a bit frightened once he took in my face of outrage. "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by it. It's just, I feel like a lot of girls aren't really you know- into that kind of stuff- You know, like most of them are just asking for attention-"

I looked over at Rachel, her face mirroring disgust.

"That's all we want for now." Rachel interrupted the guy before he could finish what he was about to say.

The guy took the hint and quickly scurried off.

"Can you believe that guy?" I uttered angrily under my breath.

Rachel didn't say anything. She just looked at me with a blank face. "Well, at least he could get you talking."

I made a face and looked at her. "What?"

"You've barely talked with me all night. I mean you've barely even looked at me." Rachel pointed out.

I sighed. My hands were moving underneath the table restlessly. I looked up and met her soft brown eyes. "I'm sorry Rachel. I-I haven't been myself tonight."

"If you didn't want to go on this date-"

"I've never been on a date before." I blurted out.

Rachel's eyes went wide. "Wait- what?"

I licked my lips and expelled a sharp breath, feeling my face flush warm. "I've never been on a date before."

"Shut up! You can't be serious!" Rachel exclaimed, leaning into the table.

I threw out a casual shrug, looking away. I was feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Are you really serious?" Rachel asked, her tone changing to a firmer one.

"Yep."

When I looked at her again, her face was confused, her jaw cracked open. "How?- I mean why?"

"I've never really been that interested in someone. Until now."

"But that means…. You've never dated anyone? Or had a boyfriend? Girlfriend?" Rachel asked, intrigued.

"Correct."

Rachel looked even more confused. At that time the waiter brought us water. I took mine and started gulping it down, my eyes glued to the waiter.

"Any starters I could get you guys?- sorry girls. You see, I corrected myself. I know you girl get offended by not using the correct terminology." He chuckled brightly.

"Did you want anything?" Rachel asked, ignoring the waiter's comment.

I shook my head and steadied myself not to hit the waiter.

"Are we ready to order then?"

Rachel met my eyes with agreement. I pointed to her first. "I'll have the soup and the large house salad."

The waiter nodded and turned his attention to me. "Let me guess, the steak?"

"I'll get the spaghetti with meatballs." I growled out.

"Ahh, great! Splendid choice, although it is a bit predictable but a good choice nonetheless." He remarked.

"I'll be right back." I mumbled out as I stood from my seat.

I made my way to the bar and asked for the manager. I was later greeted by an older gentleman with sparkling blue eyes. I told him about our entire situation and about our waiter. The manager apologized deeply and guaranteed that we would be getting a new waiter.

"Were you trying to leave me?" Rachel asked once I got back.

"Just trying to find a waiter that's not homophobic."

"Good luck with that." Rachel smirked. "Let's actually get back to the conversation at hand. So you've never dated anyone. So that makes me your first?"

I smiled charmingly. "Yes Rachel. You are my first."

The diva sat back in wonder. Her eyes were bright and her cheeks started turning pink. She put on a large bright smile. "Are you a virgin?"

I almost started choking and I wasn't even drinking water. "I don't think that's an appropriate topic for our first date." I replied back, my cheeks heated.

"True, but you know me. Inappropriate conversations are my specialty. And besides, this is important for us as a coup-" she paused, catching herself. "It's important for our- relationship that we discuss things like this. It's always great to be prepared, especially for when we start having sex."

"Whaaaattttt?" I gasped out.

Rachel started chuckling. "Well… I'm assuming that's what we are going to eventually do. Don't you agree?"

I was feeling like I couldn't talk again. "I just figured you'd want to wait until you were married." I croaked out.

Rachel made a small face. She looked confused. "Are you asking me to marry you?"

"No!"I shook my head. "I just- I mean, sex isn't really a big deal at this moment."

"It's not?" She fired back even more confused.

"I know you're trying to save yourself." I finally was able to get out.

Rachel stared at me like I was from another planet. "Quinn what are you talking about?"

I sighed, trying to explain myself. "Well, what I'm trying to- I mean. Aren't you a virgin too?"

Rachel bit the inside of her lip. "I'm not actually."

The smile from my face fell. A harsh reality kicked in. Avery painful blow erupted through me. "I'm sorry, I uhh. I didn't mean to pry." I apologized.

The table fell into silence. An awkward tone drifted in the air between us. My chest felt heavy with despair. Deep down I knew it was bound to happen sometime. I just didn't expect it so soon. I knew it wasn't fair for me to feel like this. It was Rachel's choice. It's something that I'm going to have to accept and move on.

"Was it-"

Rachel nodded and quietly looked away.

"Right." I remarked.

The diva let out a long sigh before returning her eyes to me. "Quinn it's okay. It's good that we are talking about it. I'm comfortable with anything you want to ask me. But I just want you to know that, that was then. And this is now. I'm here with you and not him. My past is my past, and I can't change it. Do you understand?"

"Yes. I do." I breathed in heavily.

"Good. Is there anything you want to ask me?" she asked.

"Not right now." I replied back.

"Okay. So would you be open to sex? I mean, I know you're a virgin but-"

"Yes." I hastily blurted out.

Rachel began blushing again. "Well that answers my question." She chuckled.

At that moment another scrawny guy came in with food and set it down. Rachel had a bowl of spaghetti with oysters inside. I had received a large deep dish pepperoni pizza. Just as the waiter was about to leave I grabbed him.

"This isn't what we ordered." I stated.

"It's not?" He asked, a bit worried. "I'll be right back then."

The mousy boy quickly scurried off in a rush. A minute later he came back and apologized. "The waiter had put in a wrong order. I got you guys a new ticket."

"We've already been waiting for an hour on the food alone." I complained.

I'll admit, at this point I was starving and getting very agitated. The man brought us complimentary breadsticks and small salads but that did nothing to fend off my growling stomach. About thirty minutes later our food had finally arrived. A waiter had placed down my large bowl of spaghetti with meats balls. Another waiter was in the process of placing Rachel's down as well until he placed the soup down too harshly, knocking the bowl over completely onto the table. Some of the soup fell into Rachel's lap.

The diva shot up from the seat. The waiter tried to dry her off with a towel but she wasn't having it. She quickly took off in the direction of the bathroom. The man apologized several times but I waved him off. I stood up and placed my napkin on the table.

"We are out of here. That's enough." I stated.

"I'm so sorry." The man pleaded.

"It's not your fault. It's just a rotten day."

I headed in the direction of the bathroom. When I opened the door I spotted Rachel at the sink crying. She was desperately trying to dry off the bottom of her blouse. Her pants looked wet across the front of her legs.

"Hey."

She turned around and wiped her eyes.

"It's alright." I whispered as I got to her and wrapped her in a hug.

"This has got to be the worst first date ever!" Rachel sobbed.

"It really is." I agreed.

That made her cry even more.

"It's not so bad with you though. I'd go through a hundred bad dates if it meant being with you." I stated.

Rachel looked up at me and sighed. "I know. But- this was your first date. I wanted to try and make it special. You know- the best date ever." She cried.

"Come on. Let's get out of here. The night is still young. The date is not over yet."

As I walked outside to the backyard I was met with dozens of twinkling lights. I carried out two containers of warm leftover stir fry. Rachel was sitting on a big purple blanket on the grass beside the pool. I sat beside her. A large smile was on her face. She was wearing my grey Def Leppard shirt and a pair of black shorts I'd lent her. I had changed into a black tank top and light blue sleeping pants. Rachel's playlist on her phone was lazily buzzing through the speakers as we ate the food.

"Someone is hungry." Rachel commented.

I swallowed whatever was in my mouth and replied back, "We were in that place for nearly three hours. Of course I'm starving!"

Rachel chuckled out loud. The food was amazing and after we were done eating the conversation flowed easily. As we gazed up at the stars I felt Rachel cuddle further into me.

"This is how the date should have gone." Rachel sighed.

"This is way better." I agreed.

A fresh breeze whirled around us. I felt relaxed and peaceful. When I glanced down at Rachel she was staring at me. I leaned down and swept her lips with a firm kiss. Rachel's warm hand caressed the side of my face. She immediately deepened the kiss. Our tongues lazily met one another, softly, gently. We danced a slow and toxic rhythm that seemed to last forever. The brunette adjusted herself until she was on top of me. I rolled us over, Rachel giggling a bit as we broke loose.

I hovered over her and I leaned back in. Our tongues met with a bit more passion. I could feel Rachel wrap her legs around the back of my thighs. Rachel was breathing heavily into me as I started placing wet kisses up and down her neck. I was trying to remember all the spots I'd found last time.

Rachel was slowly unraveling beneath me. A second later she rolled us around until she was on top again. She lowered herself down to my stomach, making eye contact with me the entire time. She slowly lifted up my shirt little by little until it hit just underneath my bra. I looked down, biting my lip. She placed her lips down on the edge of my bra and moved downwards, extending her tongue out to taste me. I felt myself starting to shake tremendously and a slew of heavy groans escaped from my lips. When she hit my belly button she dipped her tongue inside. I could feel myself pooling with wetness more than ever.

"We- should stop." I finally gasped out.

Rachel looked up and froze, meeting my gaze. She smiled and placed a last sloppy wet kiss to my stomach before placing my shirt back down, smoothing it back into place. Rachel came back up and placed a warm kiss on my lips before she settled back into me, wrapping the blanket around us. We stayed that way for a while until it got to where I was starting to drift off to sleep.

"I should have waited." Rachel whispered to me.

"Mmmm?"

"I should've waited." Rachel replied back quietly.

"Why? Do you regret it?" I asked.

"No, of course not. I just… I didn't do it for the right reasons."

"What do you mean?"

Rachel turned to me, staring me in the eyes. "Do you remember the night of the party?"

"How could I forget?" I nodded.

"Well, after that I went to see Sam." She explained.

"You don't have to tell me." I whispered to her.

"I know. But I want to." She sighed. "That night, I was really upset and hurt when you rejected me. And for some reason, the only thing I wanted to do in that moment was to hurt you back. I went to Sam and asked him if we could-" she paused.

"Of course he knew that I was drunk and refused to do so. But you know me, when I want something I'll make it happen. I practically forced him to have sex with me that night. And once it was over I knew that it was already too late. I'd made a huge mistake."

There was a small pause before I replied back with, "I'm really sorry Rachel."

"Don't be. It's on me. I shouldn't have done that. I'm not that type of person. I don't know where that came from. The next morning I felt even more horrible by it. I felt worse for Sam."

"Did you at least enjoy it?" I asked.

"It was nice. He made me feel safe." There was another small drum of silence before she added in, "When we have sex I really want it to be special."

"Me too." I whispered as I leaned in and kissed her.

"Speaking of… when are we going to have sex?" she asked, her smile turning to a smirk.

I snorted, letting out a soft chuckle. "Dude you are such a horndog."

"I'm not a horndog! I'm just really, really, interested in-"

"Getting your little paws on me." I threw out.

Rachel huffed. "You're really not making this easy."

"Mmmm, you wanna kiss me all over." I started singing.

"Quinn."

"And over again!"

She started laughing. "Stop!"

"You want to kiss me all over, till the night closes in." I sang. I changed my pitch to a higher tone before singing out, "Till the night closes in!"

Rachel shook her head and pressed her lips into me abruptly, shutting me up. I could feel myself chuckling with her warmth all around me. To me, this was the best date ever.

I was standing in the middle of a bridge. The sun was beating down on me. I looked around the area. The railing on the left side looked like it had been pulverized by something. I walked over and looked down, noticing the large lake. Not only could I see the lake but I could see a car. My heart started to race. The car….

A loud noise caught my attention. I quickly spun around. Someone was standing on the opposite side of the bridge from me. It was a man with no face. I stood still, watching him with unease. Slowly the man started walking toward me. I could hear someone screaming and shouting with each step he took.

"Don't come any closer!" I yelled out loud.

The man stopped. I knew he didn't have a face but somehow I knew that he was staring at me. The man lifted up both of his arms. The loud screams immediately started growing louder. The bridge started shaking, cracking open with madness. I gazed over at the car down below. The screaming continued growing louder until I fell to my knees. I looked over at the man who appeared to be laughing. Rubble started falling from the bridge. The entire world felt like it was shaking. It wouldn't stop. It was so loud. Like nails on a chalkboard, piercing into me. It was enough to make my teeth rattle like a buzzer.

Suddenly for a split second everything stopped. For that moment I looked up. The man was suddenly standing right in front of me. Red eyes appeared before me.

"You're mine!"

WHOOSH! BAM!

I flew up from bed, my body shaking all over. I rushed to the bathroom and threw open the toilet. I puked my guts out, grasping onto the toilet. I puked everything up until there was nothing left. I slumped to the side, my head hitting against the wall. My body felt sore and was aching all over. I was exhausted. I felt something dripping down my chin. With the edge of my thumb I wiped it and found dark crimson smeared across it. I shot up and looked in the mirror. Blood was trickling down my nose as well as from my ears. I grabbed a towel and started wiping away the blood.

"What the hell is happening to me?" I cried out.

Hey folks! Thanks to everyone that is still reading! I love everyone's comments. You guys keep me going. You guys make my heart melt! For those of you who don't know, as a writer I've always struggled with writing mushy love scenes. As you've probably read in my previous works I pretty much like to get straight to the drama. With this story I really wanted to challenge myself, especially with the love scenes. I really want the love story to be realistic. And ...Typically, I'm not much of a mushy person but I hope this was mushy enough! Lol! More mushiness to come!

I also apologize about all the mistakes. They are mine and mine alone. Forgive me!
