"Back to reality" Zoe sighed, reaching over and flicking off her annoyingly loud alarm clock that had just begun to ring "Can we not skip work for one more day?" She pleaded, rolling over on her side to face Nick who was beginning to awake beside her.
Nick wrapped his around her waist, pulling her body closer to his side "As much as I'd love to spend another day in bed with you, we do have a department to run" He sighed. As much as he would like too; that was just not possible.
"Nick, come on" Zoe continued to plead, her eyes smiling up at him for the answer she wanted to hear "I'll make it worth your while" She grinned, planting kisses across his bare chest.
"No we can't" Nick groaned, trying to pull himself away from her wandering hands "I really need to get ready and so do you" He kissed her before rolling out of bed.
"No" Zoe protested "Come back to bed Nick" She pleaded, teasingly flicking back the covers to reveal her naked body "You can't say no to this" She grinned over at him as his eyes quickly turned back to look at the sight before him.
"Don't do this" Nick groaned "You know exactly what you are doing to me" He walked back over to the bed and knelt forward; leaning over her body to kiss her once again.
"Come back to bed then" Zoe grinned against his lips, cupping his face in her hands as she pulled him back down towards her.
"You really are a tease" He chuckled, deepening the kiss "I don't know what's gotten into you lately" He added, his hands brushing up and down her sides "We haven't even been back five minutes" He continued to mumble in between kisses.
"You can't say you aren't loving it though" She grinned, teasingly raising her eyebrow at him as he broke away once again.
"I am, but now is not the time" He groaned "I need a shower now before work, so you're going to have to go and see to our daughter" He told her, standing back up and flashing her a wink.
"How about you skip the shower and put that to good use" She raised her eyebrow, her eyes trailing off down to his boxers.
Nick shook his head, chuckling at her "What am i going to do with you" He laughed, winking at her once again as he trailed off out of their bedroom.
Zoe sighed as she watched him leave. She didn't know what had gotten into her just lately; she couldn't get enough of him no matter the place or time and Nick knew exactly what buttons to push with her and she hated how much he teased her.
She rolled out of bed and began to get ready before finally padding across the hallway to get Hollie ready for her first day back at school.
"Coffee?" Nick asked, turning to see Zoe join him in the kitchen as he prepared breakfast for the three of them. They had only been back from Paris for a day, but already they could both tell that they had grown closer over the holiday. It had definitely done them the world of good. Everything was finally getting back to normal again; just how it was 4 years ago when they had first become a couple and they were both happier than ever.
Zoe shook her head "No not for me" She refused, taking a seat at the table as she watched Nick.
"Blimey, are you feeling alright?" He frowned. Zoe always had coffee; coffee was her drug. She would drink at least 10 cups a day when on a busy shift.
"I don't really fancy it"
"You love your coffee" He added.
"Yeah I'll probably get one later or something" Zoe mumbled, running her hand across her forehead and tired eyes.
After finishing breakfast, all three of them quickly headed out, firstly dropping Hollie off at school before proceeding to the hospital.
"You're not still sulking about this morning are you?" Nick asked as they wandered into the ED, pausing outside of his office. He sensed that her mood had changed considerably since his rejection "Because you know, I can always make it up to you at some point in the day" He whispered, conscious of the many passes by around them.
"No I'm fine really" Zoe held up her hand as she turned on her heel to walk away from him.
"I'll see you later then?" Nick called after her.
"Yeah see you later" Zoe mumbled, hurrying off to the staff room.
