Chapter Twenty Five
Much to Katherine's enjoyment, the pool was completely empty. It seemed that everyone else with actual lives had decided to take the night off and go dancing or doing something fun, unlike her who was floating in a pool by herself. Katherine did feel guilty for leaving Caroline and Bonnie to fend for themselves, but honestly she didn't want to ruin their fun, especially when she herself had a lot on her mind.
But after half an hour she grew pretty bored. It was boring, not to mention lonely, just swimming by herself. She got out of the pool and wrapped herself in a towel and walked towards the hallway.
Katherine remember the floor number, but she couldn't remember the hotel room and she didn't want to go back down to the hotel's front desk and ask for directions. She stopped in front on a maroon colored door. "This is it." She twisted the knob of the door and opened it.
Almost instantly Katherine knew that this wasn't her room, there were dozens of suitcases lying on the floor and a suit jacket nearly hung in a closet. Opps.
Before she could closed the door and leave, the bathroom door opened and out stepped out none other than Elijah clearly out of the shower. Not to mention very, very naked. "Katerina?"
Katherine felt her whole face flushed. "Sorry, I-uh-wrong room."
Elijah looked amused. "It's not like you have never seen me naked." He smirked. "Katerina."
Katherine felt herself blushed even redder as she threw him a towel. "Just cover yourself please."
Elijah wrapped the towel around his waist.
"Now what are you doing here?"
"Me? You were the one that barged in."
"I, uh got the wrong," she said. "I'm sorry, I'll go now-"
"Katerina, you don't have to leave." He said. "It's still early, you can stay here." He approached her.
Katherine's eyes went towards his naked chest. "What are you doing here?"
"My brother Kol planned a bachelor party for my older brother Finn." He said handing her a dry towel. He noticed that her black bikini was dripping as well as her hair.
Katherine frowned. "Brothers, there are more of you?"
"Of course." He chuckled.
"How come you never mention them?"
"We don't get along." He mused. "So I imagine that you came here with Bonnie and Caroline?"
She nodded, she had a hard time meeting his eyes. "Caroline got us tickets and-"
Elijah rested his hand on her waist. "You don't have to explain." His voice was low and husky and Katherine could smell the fresh shampoo. Without thinking twice, Katherine pressed her lips absent his. She didn't know what had compelled her to do it, but as soon as her lips touched his, she realized that she had missed him. Every part of him. Even his holier than thou attitude.
Elijah kissed her back, his hand rummaging down her back in order to untie her black bikini top. He managed to pull the string releasing her breasts and exposing them to the chilly air. Elijah gently squeezed one of her breasts while planting small kisses along her neck. "I've missed you, my Katerina."
"I've missed you too." She said as she pressed Elijah against the wall and easily remove the towel around his waist, exposing him.
Elijah smirked as he pushed the wet curls from her face. "A little eager aren't we?"
Katherine rolled her eyes as she wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. "Oh, shut up."
Elijah placed her on his bed, grateful that he had gotten a single room. He easily pulled back her bikini bottoms and threw them across the room. Elijah lowered his hand to her folds and started teasing her swollen clit. He was surprised that Katherine was wet for him already. "You're excited." He whispered in her ear.
"It's your fault." She accused.
"My pleasure." He entered one finger inside her, surprising Katherine who let out a small moan, arching her back like a pleased cat. Elijah entered a second finger and Katherine grabbed his face with both of her hands as she pulled him forward for a kiss, her hands then rummaging through his strong back. Elijah gently nibbled on her ear as he ran a hand through her dark curls.
"Elijah..." she murmured between breaths. "Now . . . please . . . hurry." she dugged her nails in Elijah's back as he thrust into her, not caring if she was hurting him. Their hips were rocking at the same motion, their breaths heavy.
Elijah entwined his hand inside Katherine's as he murmured. "Katerina."
Katherine woke up slowly, feeling a major wave of déjà vu. She remember waking up exactly like today when she had slept with Elijah the second time, right after she had told him that she already knew about the Damon-Elena affair.
She was about to get up when she felt Elijah wrapped his arms around her naked hips. "Oh, no you're not running away again." He pressed his lips to her lower back.
Katherine smiled as she faced him, gently pressing her hand against his chest. "What makes you so sure I was running away?"
"Because I know you and you have a tendency to freak out and run way."
"I do not." She pouted. "Your liar."
Elijah chuckled. "Relax, I think it's cute."
Neither of them spoke for a moment. "We can't keep doing this. . .having sex, then being mad at each other. . .is confusing. Not to mention exhausting."
"I know." Elijah said simply, resting his hand on her thigh. "That's why I think we should try dating."
"Us?" Katherine looked confused. "Again?"
"No, not again silly." He kissed her. "This time it will be for real."
It was still early as she doubted that Bonnie and Caroline were awake yet, not to mention that she didn't really want to explain why she was sneaking back into her room at the ungodly hour of six AM. She really didn't want to explain, but as luck would have it there they were. Well, Caroline was.
"There you are!" Caroline was already perfectly dress. Did the woman even sleep? "Where we're you, we were worried. Why the hell are you wearing a bikini?"
"I send you a text." Katherine said guiltily.
Bonnie scoffed from where she was still half sleeping on her bed. "Yeah, sleeping somewhere else, bye. Not exactly informative."
"Ok, not important!" Caroline's blue eyes were as round as pennies. "The important thing is, who did you slept with?"
"Caroline." Bonnie groaned. "I doubt she wants to talk about it."
"She's our friend, she has to talk about it." Caroline argued. "And I doubt that the reason that's she wearing the bikini from last night was because she didn't bring any other clothes, besides she definitely has sex hair."
Katherine smirked. "Sex hair? What's that?"
Caroline shrugged. "You know, how you hair looks all messy, but still surprisingly good after-"
"Ok, I get it." Katherine looked from Bonnie to Caroline and blurted out. "Elijah is here. He came for his brother Finn's bachelor party."
It didn't take the girls long to put two and two together.
"Wait, you and Elijah-"Caroline trailed off.
"I thought you were getting a break from guys." Bonnie pointed out.
"I was." Katherine shrugged. "It kind of happened."
"Yay." Caroline clapped. "My pep talk work."
Katherine raised an eyebrow. "Pep talk?"
"He didn't tell you. Figures. I basically told him to man up and apologize. So did he?"
Katherine nodded. "Thanks Care, I owe you one."
"Look what I found at the reception desk." Bonnie said grinning as she came into the room later that afternoon carrying a bouquet of pink tulips. "They were going to send them here, but I decided to just bring them here."
Caroline and Katherine exchanged looks. Katherine and Caroline had been sitting on Caroline's bed. Katherine had been painting Caroline's nails coral pink. "Who are they for, Bon?"
Bonnie snorted as she thrust the vase towards Katherine. "Who do you think? From your secret admirer."
"Oh, please." Caroline rolled her eyes. "Elijah is hardly secret . . . the tulips are so pink."
And so very un-Katherine like, but Katherine couldn't help, but like them. They weren't the kind of flowers that she had imagine that Elijah would send to her, but at the same time they were just so her. Everyone send red roses, tulips were kind of rare.
"Oh, she's blushing." Caroline teased her.
"No, I'm not." She protested trying to hide her crimson cheeks. "They are just flowers."
"There's a note." Bonnie pointed to the bouquet.
Katherine grabbed the little white notecard and saw Elijah's neat handwriting printed on it. Will you give me the honor of being my date for dinner? I'll pick you up at your room at seven. Fondly, Elijah.
"Red, you should definitely wear the red dress." Caroline said firmly. The three girls were standing side to side and looking at two dresses on Katherine's bed. One of them was a short black dress and the other was a red dress with a sweetheart neckline. "He always sees you in black."
Katherine cocked her head. "I don't know."
"Come on the red dress would look great, and they will go great with these." Bonnie said as she pointed to the black high heels. "No arguments."
One hour later Katherine exited her room wearing the red dress and smelling of some kind of fruity perfume that Bonnie had sprayed on her before she left. She decided to wait for Elijah outside otherwise Bonnie and Caroline would attack him with questions.
"Ready to go?"
Oh, crap.
"Yes," Katherine forced a smile. "I'm ready. Seth, you know Elijah."
"We've meet." Seth said coolly, and without offering another form of explanation he turned around and left.
Katherine strangely breathed a sigh of relief. She said, without facing him. "Well, we should-"
"Katherine, what was Seth doing here?" Elijah asked looking at her. "Is he following you?"
"No," she said. "Nothing like that, he's just visiting some friends. Honestly, Elijah he was just saying hello."
Elijah didn't look convinced. "I don't trust him. Are you sure that perhaps you shouldn't get a restraining order or something."
Katherine narrowed her eyes. "Look, I know you and Seth haven't gotten along, but he's my friend." Elijah didn't look convinced. Katherine grabbed his hand. "Let's go to dinner, I'm starving."
