A/N: Wow it's has literally taken me a year to post this chapter. For which I am immeasurably sorry! I honestly could not write this chapter, at one point it was eight pages long and seemed to drone on another with was half a page and was WAY too short so yeah there was a ton of problems, as I literally could not (at least until now) write an ending for the story (this applied to my other stories as well).

But for those who have stuck around to this very end I THANK and CONGRATULATE you! You made it hurray! :D

Chapter 20: Epilogue

When he had turned to see who had called him he was not expecting what he saw. Annabeth was watching him a small smile gracing her lips.

"What's wrong Jack?" She asked while moving to sit up.

Before he could reply their mother entered the room only to stop, the blanket in her hands fell to the ground as she continued to stare. Slowly she moved forward as though she was approaching a skittish animal, tentatively she placed a hand on Annabeth's check seemingly worried as though the girl might shatter at her touch. When she didn't Claire pulled her daughter into a tight hug.

"Albert!" Claire called for her husband as she moved back to see her daughter's smiling yet confused face, "Albert!" she called again when he did not answer, despite her tears Claire couldn't stop smiling, her daughter was alive, alive and awake.

Heavy footsteps sounded as Albert ran through the house. "What? What's wrong?" He asked upon entering Annabeth's room. Nobody said a word as he saw Annabeth hugging her mother and only when it dawned on him did he join in.

Jack had remained on the window watching as his family rejoiced at the news. Annabeth had eventually persuaded him into joining the group hug when she noticed that he hadn't moved since she woke.

"How long was I asleep?" Annabeth asked being the first to break the constant hugging.

"Almost a year." Her mother replied. "Jack was asleep for just over a month."

"What about summer?" Annabeth questioned her eyes turning to Jack with worry. "Doesn't it hurt?"

"No." Jack replied. "It's just uncomfortable."

"He fell asleep halfway through summer." Their father mentioned. "Didn't even stir till now."

OoOoO

Weeks had flown by after Annabeth awoke with Winter once again drawing to an end. Both Jack and Annabeth sat at the edge of the pond in silence occasionally throwing in a stone or a twig to help pass time.

"So you'll be leaving soon." Annabeth asked breaking the silence as she fiddled with a pebble.

"Yeah." Jack muttered absently.

"Will you return?"

Jack looked at his sister clearly stunned. "Of course I'll come back." He chuckled, "You can't get rid of me that easy." he added before playfully nudging Annabeth.

"Then you'll have to tell me what you see." She replied looking suddenly excited, "You'll be getting to go to all these great places." she grinned before gasping as a thought came to her. "You have to bring something back!"

Jack laughed. "I promise." He smiled as his attention went back to the lake. "Hey. Want to go ice-skating?"

"But there's no ice." Annabeth replied. Jack said nothing as he tilted the top of his staff to touch the surface of the water.

Standing he stepped onto the ice before holding out his hand for his sister. Once he was sure they had a good grip on each other he moved further into the lake, the water freezing below them as they moved.

Annabeth grinned as the moved about in dizzying circles and patterns. "This is amazing." She grinned before giggling as she slipped.

Jack simply laughed and began to skate faster, he loved it when his sister was happy.

There may or may not be a sequel it depends if anyone is interested... Anyways... THANK YOU to those who faved and followed this story :D I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I have :D
