Righting Wrongs & Starting Again
Jinx wanted to laugh because she could feel the figure's fear. "Are you afraid?" she asks vanishing again. "You won, you get your cousin. Leave," the figure says snapping his fingers and the chains gave away and the mark given to her cousin was burned away. "Aww, but I want to play, after all you love games," Jinx's voice carries making him look all around. "You know, I am curious as to know who you are. What you are. And just how pathetic you are," Jinx says before the cloak gave away and there was a little alien girl there. "Leave, you won the bet," the girl says. "I get my cousin, yes I know. But tell me did you like watching them die? Did you like to feed of of their very soul? Do you enjoy it so much you would traumatize your own daughter to do it?" Jinx asks. The girl's eye widened. The darkness in the building faded and there stood a man with features the same as the child. "You know nothing," he says. "I know everything. Tell me, does she know? Does she enjoy it as well? ... Of course not, your kind doesn't feed off souls. It feeds off flesh. Except you, oh you learned. You learned that a soul can feed you and regenerate you. You wanted a farm, the weakest time for a soul is when the body is working to survive. You found a way to live longer than you thought was possible. Tell me how long has she been young?" Jinx asks finally showing her face sitting on the rail holding his daughter. The male's eyes widened. He knew his daughter was in the hands of a monster. Even so he knew, he himself was a monster. He tricked his daughter and secretly gave her souls to stay young and with him forever. "Three centuries now. I have been here for nine. And she does not enjoy the killing or my method of feeding. She is innocent so let her go," he says. Jinx smiled at him. "So you do have a heart? That's good to know. Tell me would you die for her?" Jinx asks making her fall into a slumber. "She's my daughter. I would do anything for her," he says. "Good, then you have no problem giving her up," Jinx says getting off the rail and walking away with her. He growled and slammed the doors shut. "You will NOT take her away from ME!" he says. Jinx smiled and handed her to her cousin. Before a word could be said they were fighting and each were actually bleeding. "You are blocked," he says as they were apart. "I am more than you think," she says with a laugh. She threw hex bolts everywhere and they each hit him. "You are a bad father. And an even worse person. The world will not miss you," Jinx says as his head rolled from his body. Jinx jumped back to where her cousin was and took the girl. "Come, I believe it is time to free the people here," Jinx says with a smile. "Jinx," her cousin starts as they go through the doors. Jinx stopped and looked at her cousin. "I will tell you everything you need to know, when we are back home. But for now I believe we have to right your part in this scam," Jinx says eying the button to free them all. Her cousin nodded and pushed the button and the intercom button. "I am sorry for trapping you all here. I did not know the truth of this place. But I am happy to say that you all are free forever, and that the man who is responsible is no longer alive. I truly ask for your forgiveness and bless your journeys home," he says before turning the intercom off and they walk out the door. Jinx felt his blessing coat every alien in the building and smiled. He had a gift that she hoped he would use well. They walked to her hotel room and she lied the girl on her bed. "Tomorrow we can go to Jump, unless you want to live somewhere else. I can help get you a place and a car," Jinx says. "You live in Jump?" he asks sitting in a chair there in the room. "I never left," Jinx says. He chuckled at that. "Well I would like to go back, I haven't been there since they took you. And Jump City is home. ... What are you going to do about her?" he asks. "Take her home. Once she is able to travel I'm going to take her to her home planet. I'm sure they miss her," Jinx says before ordering food and laying on the couch. "Well then tomorrow let's go home and then you can tell me the whole truth," he says with a smile. Jinx looked at him and smiled. The food came and they ate as if nothing was wrong. Even through everything they were still family and that was what mattered.
What do you all think? Is it getting good? Is it getting bad? Please tell me. Don't worry I have a plan. Well sort of. Don't kill me. I'll update soon.
