The day went by fast as Kim was kind of excited to go dress shopping. It wasn't something that she usually did or even with girlfriends as she was thankful to finally have one she liked and got along with and no disrespect to the guys who have been nothing but amazing but sometimes it is nice to have another girl to have your back. She met up with Ally after school, grabbed all their stuff and took off giggling. Jack and Austin watch them leave with smiles on their faces. Jack walked over to Austin to see how things were going. "Hey Austin", Jack said quietly.
"Oh, hey Jack. What's up?" Austin asked curiously.
"Oh, nothing much. Just wanted to see what was happening", Jack replied casually.
"Oh yeah, sorry. I was going to text you tonight but now I don't need to. Kim is going to homecoming but as a 'fake' date with our friend Milton. That was the only way we got her to go. Anyways I will give you more specific details once the girls get back", Austin said his eyes.
Jack laughed and said, "Who would have thought that Ally and Kim would actually be friends".
"I know right. But I am glad. We aren't so different you know", Austin added.
"Yeah, I see that now. Well, I'll talk to you later cousin", Jack said walking away.
"See ya", Austin said walking opposite direction.
As they both headed home they thought about the conversation they just had and thought, "Dang, who would have thought WE would actually get along".
Kim and Ally arrived at the mall and headed straight to all the dress stores, determined to find the perfect one. They entered the first store and headed in the opposite direction with Ally heading to the girly section and Kim going for the more simple section. They both got a few to try on which didn't work out very well as Ally thought hers were too flashy and Kim getting the zipper stuck. They went to the next store and didn't find anything 'age' appropriate. After three more stores they were about to give up until Ally spotted another store. "Kim, I promise this will be the last one if we don't find anything", Ally said dragging Kim into the store. Almost immediately the girls were drawn to two dresses; one pink and one purple. Both agreed to try them on as Kim was the first one to get her dress on and immediately she loved it. It was a perfect length, right above the knee, one big strap on one side and the other side skinny, small poof and lace going around the waist. Ally found a hi low cut dress with thin straps and lightly beaded waist. She sighed with happiness knowing she found the perfect dress. She and Kim both exited the fitting rooms and squealed when they saw each others dresses. "Ally that is gorgeous! You look amazing", Kim said cheering.
"No, you look amazing. That dresses that is a beauty", Ally replied smiling.
They knew right then, that they found the perfect dress. They shopped around for some accessories and then headed home, exhausted but excited.
As Ally started to walk up her driveway she was surprised by Austin who quietly appeared holding a single rose. Ally smiled wider as they approached one another. "Austin?" Ally asked a little confused.
"Ally, I know we are already together and it's only assumed that we are going to homecoming together but I wanted to do it properly so Ally Dawson, would you accompany me to the homecoming dance?" Austin asked with a smile.
Ally grinned and said, "Of course the dork" as she kissed him.
The kiss was short and sweet as they still got butterflies. Austin grabbed Ally's bags from her and intertwined their fingers as they headed inside. Ally told Austin about her and Kim's adventure with telling him that her dress was a surprise and only told him both hers and Kim's color. Austin left in a happy mood knowing things just got a whole lot easier.
Next morning Austin ran into Jack and told him about phase two. All Jack had to do was' run' into Kim and try to strike up a conversation to see how she reacts towards him with them not talking for a few weeks. Just walk towards Kim's locker but stopped behind a wall, waiting for Kim to head to class. After a few minutes Kim started to head in his direction as he stepped back backwards. He counted to 10, pulled out his phone and started to walk. Within seconds he gently bumped into someone as a few papers fell out of their hands. Jack bent down, picking them up only to come face-to-face with Kim as he stopped breathing. After noticing she was staring at him with a raised eyebrow he handed the papers back and apologize. "I am so sorry Kim", Jack said softly.
"It's fine", Kim said not looking at him.
"So how have you been?" Jack asked curiously.
"I've been fine", Kim replied finally looking at Jack who had a small smile on his face.
"You look good", Jack started then paused knowing that the words came out wrong and quickly tried to backpedal. "That's not what I meant. You always look good, well what more like beautiful", Jack stopped as Kim put her hand on Jack's upper arm.
"It's fine Jack. I know what you meant and thank you", Kim paused slightly blushing. "I guess, um, I'll see you around?" Kim finished quickly with a small smile.
"Definitely", Jack replied as Kim took off the class with Jack also walking to class with a smile glued to his face.
After class Austin went to find Jack to see how it went today. After looking all around Austin finally stopped Jack exiting the locker room as he quickly rushed over. Without giving Jack any time to step away from the door Austin asked, "So, how did it go? Did she talk to you?"
Jack smiled and replied, "It went fine and yes she did talk to me".
"Yes! The plan is so going to work", Austin shouted.
Jack raised his eyebrows a little bit worried and confused about what was going but said, "Well, I can't wait".
"Good", Austin said as he ran off cheerfully.
Jack shook his head, now not sure what he got himself into but he knew Kim was definitely worth it.
Weeks passed as homecoming was right around the corner. Jack got messages over the past week with hints of what was going to happen. Like he needed to wear a form of hot pink somewhere visible and to meet Austin before the dance so he could see Kim before she went into the dance with her mask.
The day finally arrived as Austin and Ally were excited, Kim was happy and Jack was nervous. They all knew tonight was going to be fun and hoped everything worked out for phase three. Fingers crossed.
And there you go. I know this was a little filler and there wasn't much in this chapter but I promise there will be more in the next one. Just an FYI; Kim's dress is the one she wore in Spyfall and Ally's is the one Laura had on at the Austin and Ally wrap party a few weeks ago. Please R&R and let me know what you think.
Thank you all for the reviews. It means so much so can we please try and get 260 before the next chapter?
Thanks and until next time,
Missy xx
