Chapter 23:

Let's remind the previous chapters:

-Clarke came to camp Arkers and reunited with her best friends

-Bellamy and Clarke are in the same cabin and are both co-head counselors

-Bellamy and Clarke are together

-Bellamy and Clarke said they love each other in front of Finn

-It was step 3

-Lexa is back

It was almost dinner time and they were about to receive the results of the step 3, they were kind of stressed, but Bellamy assured to the kids that in every way they made a good job and that they could be proud of themselves. They saw William and Dean entered the mess hall while Maya, Diana and Lexa talked to Jaha. They ran into the room and they saw that William and Dean were about to leave, probably looked for them.

"Hey, so, you have the results I guess that's why you are here." said Clarke while taking a seat at the table near the entrance of the room.

"Actually we do, but, we are not here for that Clarke." Dean said with a disappointed look on his face.

"What is it ?" asked Bellamy who took a seat next to Clarke worriedly.

"It's about Lexa."

Octavia's POV

I saw Bellamy and Clarke running in the mess hall after seen Dean and William entered the room. I sat down on a bench and saw that Jasper looked at me, we didn't have a chance to talk about us, and honestly it scared me. I moved to him to come closer. He came quickly when he realized that I was talking to him.

"Hey babe, wanna talk ?" he asked me while sat down on the bench beside me.

"Yeah, it's about us, you know we didn't talk to each other alone in a while and-" I was cut off by Jaha, Maya, Diana and Lexa who walked towards us.

"Hey Octavia, I think we should talk later, I'll let you with them." said Jasper disappointingly at me before leaving.

"I hope you have a good reason for coming and bothered us while we talk about our relationship. Sorry, what did you want ?" I asked looking down at my feet.

"It's about Lexa, it's that-" we were cut off by a really angry Clarke and an out of breath Bellamy running towards us.

"No way in Earth."

"Clar-Clarke's-Clarke's right." said Bellamy his hands on his knees like he just ran a marathon.

"Bell, you're getting old." he looked at me with a look on his face that told me to shut up. "What's happened ?" I said avoiding Bell's glare.

"They want Lexa to come here and get punish like that, she'll be a cleaning lady."

"What no way in Earth, you already broke too much rules, just because her brother is an arbitrators, she can break all the rules like cheating and she'll stay here, we accept that she stayed once but not twice, it's not fair for people like Atom-" I stopped myself at the name, feeling tears grew up in my eyes. I caught my breath and restarted. "It's just not fair those peoples did the same things and because she's a privileged she stay, but I let you know that if she stay, I leave." with that I got to the mess hall, crying about the memories that been remind. Atom was my best friend, it was our best friend and once he get in trouble and he had to leave the camp, we learned a year after that that he killed himself because he was like Murphy, it was his only home, and it destroyed us, since that day we've been sure that the rules of the camps get respect, because it wasn't fair.

Normal POV

Bellamy, Clarke and the others were at a table at the mess hall, talking about Lexa's thing, they hadn't see Octavia since she ran in the mess hall crying, there was people missing too, like Finn, but it wasn't like someone seemed to care, Jaha went into his office with Diana, Maya and Lexa and they saw her getting to the parking with suitcases so they guessed that she was gone for good or at least not in their camp.

"And they thought they could just unload her to us, the Grounders are just some idiots who just want to feed their egos. O was right after what happened to Atom, we can't afford to break the rules,well at least not those" he add looking at Bellamy and Clarke "certainly not after what we did, we let the championship continue, we let her stay once, but here with us after what she did, it's just impossible even with that kind of job." said Miller really angry and everyone nodded then Jasper spoke up smiling.

"At least as a cleaning lady, she can't cheat." everyone laugh, more or less, but they stopped when they saw Octavia get in the mess hall with red eyes and tears still running down her cheeks, she was the one that get more sad by the death of Atom, he helped her, he covered her, she got in trouble too but he took all the responsibilities and got her out of trouble with Jaha or Bellamy, and she was kinda in love with him since a long time, mostly because Bellamy didn't want this to happen, but she truly loved him.

"Hey O, you're okay ?" asked Harper who stood up from where she was sat down for let Octavia a place next to Jasper.

"Yes-No-I don't know, I just wanted to eat something before sleeping, I'm exhausted." she took a slice of bread and got out. Bellamy looked at Clarke and Jasper then nodded they stood up and left their friends for go find Octavia. They went to her cabin and found her on the couch cuddle in Lincoln's arms crying, they got out without a word and Jasper ran into his cabin. They followed him, afraid that he could have done something stupid, but he was just sitting on his bed his head in his hands. They sat down next to him and didn't say a word for a few minutes but then Jasper spoke up.

"I wasn't here for her when she needed me, it's my fault, I wasn't here and he was, that's it, she wanted to talk about us, she needed it, and all I said was 'later'. I don't deserve her. Can you let me alone please guys ?" he said looking up with his eyes full of tears.
