Hello, as this is the final chapter I would like to quickly thank everyone who has read/supported Puppy Love during the past few years. I hope you enjoyed reading this fic as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you x

"Happy birthday Sanji~! Happy birthday Zoro~!" Luffy beams as he rushes into the kitchen, startling the two puppies from their sleep.

"Nami! Hurry up! I want to give them their presents already!"

"Stop shouting!" Nami replies as she sleepily makes her way downstairs in her pyjamas.

'It's six in the morning. Can't this wait?"

"No way~. I'm too excited to sleep."

Nami sighs and grabs the bag of presents that have been wrapped up for Zoro and Sanji. She knows this is stupid, they are puppies after all and they probably don't even understand what is happening, but she must admit that she did have fun picking out presents for them both. She's just annoyed that Luffy has woken her up early just for this.

Sanji goes over to her, still half asleep but excited to see her so Nami bends down and pets him.

"Let's do this in the living room so we can sit down."

"Okay~," Luffy replies happily as he leads the way in and sits down cross-legged on the floor.

Sanji runs over to Luffy and playfully jumps on him as he is now more awake.

"Shishishishi~ Let's open your presents~."

Nami takes a seat on the couch and hands over the bag of presents to Luffy so that he can take out the ones wrapped in blue paper.

"Zoro, come here," She calls as she takes out the presents wrapped in green paper.

Today is Sanji's birthday, which they know from the documents Nami was given when she adopted him. As they do not know when Zoro's actual birthday is they have decided, to celebrate the both on the same day so that neither of them miss out when one of them gets new toys.

Luffy grins as he starts opening Sanji's presents, letting Sanji nip at the paper.

Zoro doesn't seem to be too interested in his presents but he watches Nami nonetheless. They both get a set of dog treats and bones each as well as new chew toys. Zoro gets a new sword chew toy as he had broken his last one by chewing through it and taking the squeaker out. And Sanji gets a chew toy in the shape of a piece of meat. Chosen by Luffy of course.

Luffy gets Sanji to play with his new toy straight away. Not that it took much persuasion. While Nami gives Zoro a few treats. Once he is busy eating them and Luffy and Sanji are still distracted by each other, Nami takes this as her chance to go back to sleep and heads up the stairs.

It isn't until she reaches her bedroom door that she realises Zoro has been following her.

"Still tired too, huh?" Nami says then bends down to pick Zoro up.

"It's way too early to be up already. Let's get some sleep while those two are distracted."

She smiles when Zoro gently licks her cheek and she closes the bedroom door then settles into bed with Zoro next to her. As it's his birthday she'll let him sleep on her bed just this once.

Later that day, as insisted by Vivi, a few of their friends with their puppies have come over for a small celebration. Vivi has brought Kohza, Kid with Law, and Bonney has joined them with Killer.

The owners are currently in the kitchen eating snacks that Nami has provided. While they chat, Law is close-by trying to sleep under the kitchen table but being pestered by Luffy who wants to play with him. Kohza is also with them, staying close to Vivi, and Killer is in the living room with Sanji and zoro.

Killer is lying down under the coffee table ignoring Sanji who is trying to get him to play with him.

Zoro is on the couch and watches as Sanji playfully nips at Killer, trying to coax him out from under the table. However, the other pup is not interested but Sanji is not giving up.

Annoyed as he is being ignored, Zoro jumps off from the couch and pounces on Sanji. The blonde pup barks and happily starts play fighting with Zoro instead. They start rolling around on the floor, playfully nipping at each other and chase each other around the room.

The playful and friendly atmosphere doesn't last long with these two as Sanji accidently bites Zoro's leg too hard, making it bleed.

Instead of it turning into a real fight Zoro leaves the room and goes to his bed, more annoyed than upset about what just happened. He just doesn't have the energy to fight with Sanji like he usually does.

Worried, Sanji has followed him and tries to show that he is sorry by gently licking behind Zoro's ear. Zoro ignores him and turns around in his bed so that Sanji can't see his face.

The blonde pup whines in protest which gets Nami's and the others' attention.

"Eh? Is that blood on Zoro's fur?" Vivi asks.

"What?" Nami worryingly goes to check.

She frowns as she gently gets Zoro out of his bed so she can look him over.

"I think it is… what happened Zoro?"

"Maybe he fell and cut his leg or something?" Kid guesses.

"No… there doesn't seem to be a cut here. He seems to be fine anyway, and there's only a little bit of dried blood. I'll keep an eye on him."

Nami let's Zoro go back to his bed and she goes back to the conversation she was having with the others while Bonney stuffs more pizza into her mouth.

To try and make things better Sanji brings Zoro everyone one of their toys and puts them into Zoro's bed next to him. When Zoro doesn't react Sanji picks up a squeaky toy sword and shoves it into Zoro's face so that he knows it is there and coaxing him into taking it from him.

The toys do not seem to be working so Sanji goes over to Luffy and jumps up at him to get his attention then leads him to the cupboard in the kitchen where the pup's food and treats are kept.

"Oh, you want a treat. Shishishishi~. Just don't tell Nami. She'll tell me off."

Sanji takes the small bone from Luffy and takes it over to Zoro, offering it to him.

Zoro still doesn't move so Sanji goes over to his own bed and grabs the blanket with his mouth.

Hearing a muffled yap from behind him, Zoro moves slightly in his bed and glances over to see Sanji drop a blanket in front of him. The blonde pup uses his nose and mouth to spread the blanket out on the floor then starts placing all of the toys he brought him onto one side of the blanket. Zoro watches as Sanji then picks up the bone and places it next to the toys before looking to him and barking quietly.

Intrigued, Zoro slowly steps out his bed and over to his blanket of offerings.

Sanji's tail wags and he waits patiently to see if Zoro will accept his apology. When he does, and lays down on the blanket, Sanji barks and settles down beside him, licking behind Zoro's ear. Sanji then cuddles up to Zoro while he starts licking and chewing on the bone Sanji got for him.

When their guests start leaving Zoro and Sanji have both fallen asleep on the blanket together, so Vivi and the others decide not to disturb them and quietly leave after saying goodbye to Nami and Luffy.

Once everyone has gone Nami gets Luffy to help her clean up.

"Do I have to wash up?" Luffy whines, "I want to play with Zoro and Sanji."

"You can't. They are both sleeping. And don't even think about waking up."

"B-But…."

"Luffy."

"... Fine."

Nami smiles and gets back to cleaning the kitchen while Luffy washes up.

Bringing Zoro and Sanji into their lives is one of the best things they have ever done. They have had their ups and down this past year but Nami and Luffy wouldn't change a thing.
