Spencer frowned as she looked around the cafeteria at all the angry faces that were glaring at her and Ashley as they ate lunch.
"Just ignore them," Ashley told her as if she could hear her thoughts.
"I'm sorry you have to slum it," Spencer said sadly as she set her fork down.
"Hey stop it, this is way better, believe me," Ashley assured her as she reached over and took her hand squeezing it gently before letting go.
Both girls jumped as Aiden's motorcycle pulled up, Ashley seethed as she saw Madison hop off, she smiled towards her as she kissed Aiden quickly before walking pass her.
"What the hell is this?" Ashley asked Aiden as she stormed towards home.
"You broke up with me remember? I can sleep with who I want," Aiden told her.
"So you chose my best friend?" Ashley asked as she tried not to cry.
Spencer was about to intervene when Chelsea held her back.
"Look you have a new best friend and a whole new life apparently that we aren't a part of, so enjoy it," Aiden said smugly as he stormed off.
Ashley whirled around as she stormed off towards where Madison was putting books in her locker; she slammed it shut as she shouted at her, "How could you?"
"Oh don't act like you care about him now," Madison mocked her.
"We just broke up and you just couldn't wait to get your claws in him could you?" Ashley screamed.
A crowd had formed as the two cheerleaders screamed at each other.
"Enjoy my sloppy seconds!" Ashley screamed causing Madison to slap her.
"Ashley!" Spencer screamed as Glen ran towards her.
The two girls began slapping and punching each other as they both fought.
"Glen do something," Spencer told her brother as the girls fell to the ground.
Glen ran over and pulled them apart as Madison kicked Ashley one more time before storming off.
Ashley lay on the ground holding her ribs as the crowd disappeared as the bell rang.
"I will cover you two, get her home," Chelsea told Spencer as she hugged her quickly before racing off to class.
Spencer leaned down as she gently touched Ashley's shoulder. "Let's get you home."
Ashley groaned in pain as Spencer led her upstairs to her room, "take off your shirt," she demanded as she went downstairs to grab the first aid kit. When she returned she found a shirtless Ashley sitting in her desk chair.
Spencer signed as she tended to Ashley's wounds staring with her bruised ribs, Ashley hissed in pain when Spencer set an ice pack on them, she then moved up to Ashley's face where she had a few cuts and bruises.
"I'm sorry Spencer," Ashley mumbled as she set the ice pack on her dresser.
"I'm just glad you're okay," Spencer said as she wrapped Ashley's ribs and helped her put her shirt back on.
"I don't even know why I care, they both are just horrible people who deserve each other," Ashley cried out.
"You care because she was your best friend for your whole life and he was your boyfriend for three years, someone you were going to have a child with, "Spencer told her as she to tried not to cry.
"How do you do that?" Ashley asked in amazement.
"Do what?" Spencer asked confused as she cleaned up the mess.
"Always make me feel better," Ashley told her honestly.
"I'm just honest," Spencer told her with a blush as she disappeared back downstairs.
Ashley waited for her to return, "I think I should go," she said as she grabbed her back pack, she cried out in pain as it rattled her ribs.
"You shouldn't move too much," Spencer told her as she took her back pack from her.
"Right sorry Doc," Ashley said with a smirk causing Spencer to roll her eyes.
"Your hurt you need to rest," Spencer scolded her.
"Right will do," Ashley assure her with a salute as she turned to leave.
"I don't think you should be alone," Spencer said aloud cursing herself as Ashley stopped mid step on the stairs.
"Well you do know best," Ashley told her as she turned back around.
Spencer just blushed as she set Ashley's back pack down.
"I'm not trying to push," Spencer told her as she sat on her bed.
"I know, I'm just teasing you," Ashley told her as she sat beside her.
"Oh," Spencer said with a blush as she looked down.
Ashley smiled as she cupped Spencer's cheek, "thank you for being there for me always."
Spencer blushed as she looked into Ashley's eyes, "I always will be."
Ashley smiled as she placed a gentle kiss to Spencer's cheek, "I know you will."
Spencer blushed as she looked away, "so want to watch a movie or something?"
Ashley laughed, "Sure."
Spencer immediately jumped up as she went to grab one.
Ashley frowned as she watched her go, was I going to kiss her? She thought to herself as she watched Spencer place a DVD into the player before sitting back down beside her.
"Are you okay?" Spencer asked breaking Ashley out of her thoughts.
"Yeah I'm fine," Ashley assured her as she took her hand and held it as they both tried watching the movie; they shot subtle glances at each other throughout as the continued holding hands.
"It's late I should go," Ashley said as she quickly stood up and grabbed her stuff as she bolted for the door.
Spencer tried not to cry as she watched her go, does she have feelings for me she thought?" as she went to go take a shower.
Ashley threw her back pack down as she entered her room, she looked towards Spencer's window finding only darkness, and she frowned as she held her ribs and flung herself down on her bed as she cried. I'm in love with her she thought.
