Omigawd, hi everyone... so i know, long time no chapter... And i sincerely and honestly am so sorry. But, i did find some time now to post before i start some summer school so if your still interested in how this story plays out hopefully i won't disappoint. Also, i hope it won't take too much backtracking for any of you to figure out where in fact we are this journey :)

"So what's their plan again?" Scott asked.

Allison, Sam, Scott, and Stiles were slowly making their way out towards the field. Sam was telling them all that she could and as quickly as possible before there was any chance of Marcus or Jackson overhearing Sam recite the news she'd received from Lydia literally ten minutes ago. She was speed-talking, a habit she'd picked up from Stiles, but even so, she got the feeling she wouldn't be able to tell them everything in the short amount of time they had before their activities were to begin.

"I told you I don't know. All Lydia said was that she'd give us a clue at our meeting" Sam replied and looked over to left where the cheer team was gathering, "Which starts like right now."

Allison looked over noticing Lydia who was standing in front of the group, her eyes staring right back at her. "We better get over there. Lydia doesn't look too happy."

"Is there anything else she said?" Stiles asked while putting on his lacrosse gloves.

"Yeah, a lot more actually."

"McCall! Get your butt over here! If you didn't know, co-captain's can't be late to their own team meetings!" Coach Finstock yelled from the right side of the field.

"Coach doesn't look too happy either" Scott said. "We better go."

"Yup" Allison said and gestured for Sam to follow her. Scott had begun leaving and heading over towards Coach.

"Wait, what else?" Stiles asked as he followed Sam towards the cheer team.

"Well, she also said that we're suppose to-"

"Sam!" Lydia yelled across the field. Sam looked over at Lydia as she cocked her head towards Marcus and Jackson. The boys were trying a bit too hard at their not-so-obvious attempts of eavesdropping on Sam and Stiles. Lydia really wasn't kidding about the whole they've got eyes and ears everywhere thing.

Sam turned to Stiles, "Look, just meet me by your Jeep after practice okay? And bring Scott too."

Stiles gave her a quizzed look. "Okay and-"

"Bilinski!" Coach hollered.

This time it was Sam giving Stiles the quizzing look. "I'll explain later" he said and broke into a sprint towards the lacrosse team.

"Wait, Stiles!" Sam exclaimed.

He snapped his head around and stood still for a second until he realized he was missing something. He came sprinting back towards her and when he finally reached her she gave him his lacrosse helmet that she'd been holding for him. "Thanks" he replied with an embarrassed smile and turned to run again for the third time.

Sam turned around and found herself facing a small portion of the girls giving her various smug looks. "Shut up" she mumbled looking down.

Lydia managed to shush the girls and get them to settle down on the grass. Sam found Allison and quickly sat down next to her. "Alright ladies, the meeting has begun. It has been brought to my attention that it's that time of the year again-"

"Spring?!" Bunny excitedly exclaimed.

"No honey" Lydia replied, a little annoyed.

"Really? But today Mr. Gibbons said that spring just started…"

"Don't worry Bunny, it has" Madison affirmed. "Lydia meant something else though."

"Oh okay" she replied, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Anyways, back to things that actually do matter" she began again, "Spirit week is almost here at Beacon Hills again!"

All the girls exchanged delighted looks as they began to start little conversations here and there. Sam began wracking her brain, trying to figure out how this could be part of Derek's plan.

"So," Lydia began again, "to kick off this exciting part of the year we're obviously going to have to schedule a time where we plan what exactly will be happening every single day leading up to the main big annual fundraising event. Personally, I think a slumber party is the best opportunity for this."

The cheer team grew even more excited. Bunny even let out a little "yay!" Sam was still stuck on making the connection.

"Wait, Lydia, where are we going to have the sleepover? I mean it's not exactly like there's going to be only five of us there" Allison pointed out.

"I've already got that figured out. It's only fair that the sleepover takes place at Sam's."

Sam's head instantly shot up as she was suddenly brought back into the conversation. "Wait, what?! Why?!"

Lydia furrowed her brow. "Well Sammy, yes, you and Allison were the last two people to join the team but since you're technically the last new student to join the team, the task pretty much falls on you." Lydia gave her a constricted look signifying that this indeed was an important part of Derek's plan and that she was just delivering the message.

Having a whole bundle of innocent, vulnerable girls trapped in a house over the course of one night did not seem like a turn that Derek and his pack would take when it came to making a plan. But, then again, Lydia had warned Sam that what was coming next was going to be all new. Sam became distressed as she came to this realization.

Allison gave her best friend a worried look as she began to connect the dots and a worried look was all Sam could return back at the moment.

"Alright so, let's go over this again… Lydia said that for this year's spirit week, she still hasn't decided on what's going on yet so all of you guys are going to have a sleepover and just decide then and get it all organized, right?"

Sam and Allison nodded. At around this time, practice for both lacrosse and cheer had ended. Sam, Allison, Scott, and Stiles were all going up Allison's drive way. Finding whatever Lydia had left for them at Allison's was the next task on their to-do list.

"I don't see how the sleepover connects to Derek" Scott stated.

"Think of it this way, there's going to be about 20 of us trapped at my house meaning Derek and his pack will probably try to get in and kill us or someone else from the team if we don't hand ourselves over to them" Sam stated back.

"Or maybe all Lydia wanted was just to have a fun sleepover" Stiles countered with a smirk directed towards Scott. "You know with pillow fights, and…" The girls were too preoccupied with the plan that could possibly be working against them to notice Scott and Stiles' sly exchanges on the topic.

"Or, maybe this really is all Derek, meaning we should be working on a plan of our own" Allison said while opening the front door to her house.

"And I guess Lydia did say that the pack was going to have another plan of action" Scott added.

"True" Stiles finally said.

As the group entered the house, they all looked around ready to start searching for the hidden item. It was a good thing that Mr. and Mrs. Argent weren't home; it would save whatever crazy explanation the four would have given for, what it looked like, a treasure hunt that was about to take place.

"Okay, so all Lydia said was that she left something behind when all three of us were here" Sam began. "Oh, and obviously that it would help us."

"So it can be anywhere" Scott said disappointedly.

"…Not necessarily," Sam said, "There was never really a time when she was alone that night so she couldn't have done anything suspicious without us seeing it…"

"Then she would have done it in front of you without you guys knowing. You know, make it look natural" Stiles finished. Sam nodded.

"Alright so we have to backtrack and look through the rooms we were in that night" Allison said.

"Okay, so let's start" Scott said.

It had taken a good hour or two to look through virtually almost every room on the ground floor. At one point, the group even looked in the basement even though the girls had said they'd never went down there at all that night. Allison's house had been turned upside down and inside out yet no such luck was brought upon them.

"Alright this is the last room we were in before she left and also the longest place we stayed in" Allison stated as the four stood in front of her bedroom door, "It has to be in here."

"It better be in here" Stiles mumbled, as they all entered the purple room.

Scott started looking under Allison's bed while Stiles and Sam went for her bookshelf. Allison opened up her closet door and started her search there. Another forty-five minutes of nothing but oblivion had soon passed and it was evident that the flicker of hope that was once within all of them had completely extinguished.

"It's not here" Allison stated as she slowly sat on her bed next to Scott.

"Yeah, I feel like we defaulted to that once we couldn't find it about two hours ago" Stiles added, as he leaned against one of the walls.

Sam had just finished flipping through one of the last remaining books on Allison's bookshelf and had put it back into its place. "It just doesn't make sense; it has to be in here."

"But we didn't find it, so it can't be" Scott replied.

"Well maybe we didn't look hard enough" she countered.

"Sammy, we seriously looked everywhere. If it was here we would have found it by now" Allison sorrowfully said.

Sam groaned and took a seat at Allison's wooden desk in frustration.

Stiles saw the look of failure on Sam's face as she glanced over to look at him. She held his gaze for a few moments and then slowly looked away, her fingers finding their way to one of her curls as she began to twirl it around and around. A sudden surge ran through Stiles, forcing him not give up so suddenly. "What if we're looking at this from the wrong angle?..." he slowly said.

"What do you mean Stiles?" Scott questioned back, frustration clearly seeping into his voice as well.

"We searched through all the rooms to find whatever it was that Lydia sent us for and found nothing so instead we should try analyzing what actually happened that night. Maybe it could give us clues. I mean we don't even know what it is so we could've already found it right?"

Scott slowly nodded. "It's worth a shot" Allison said as she sat up straighter.

The group started off right where Allison had said the evening had began that night, with Lydia arriving and soon after Sam. Sam was quiet for most of the time that Scott, Allison and Stiles had went through what had happened that night as they slowly began to check off the places they'd look where the major occurrences of that night happened or where Lydia was the most odd. First came the kitchen, where the scars on Lydia's arms were seen by Allison and Sam. Next came the time where the pizza was delivered by Marcus and Lydia was surprised to see him as well as frightened. After analyzing, both events the group confirmed that they'd check and searched everywhere around those settings plus the living room and the basement.

Last came the time spent in Allison's room, the place everything seemed to be brought back to. "Okay so, when we got in here Sam and I sat on my bed while Lydia sat at my desk and was painting her nails" Allison said. "Sam and Lydia were throwing around bad remarks about each other here and there, nothing out of the ordinary…"

It was beginning to get dark outside Allison's bedroom window as the day had quickly turned into the early evening. Sam turned the lamp on at Allison's desk, shedding at least some light into the room as the others continued to talk. Sam let out a small sigh as she began to turn herself in the desk chair she was still sitting on in an attempt to amuse herself. She turned towards the right then noticed a sharp glint on Allison's desk. It was as if a portion of the desk was laminated, yet… a majority of the wood was not. Odd, she thought. Sam turned towards the left this time and another portion had the same exact glint reflected off the wood. Sam hastily jumped off the chair.

"You okay Sam?" Scott asked as they all looked at her in surprise.

She stood still for a second as she faced the desk and then turned around to look at them. "Allison, Lydia was painting her nails that night right? Remember she even repeatedly asked us if we liked the stupid colour she was using after she practically slammed her hands onto your desk?"

"Yeah…" Allison replied, not sure where her best friend was going with this.

"Okay" Sam simply said and then ran into Allison's bathroom. Scott, Stiles, and Allison began to get up and follow her in confusion but Sam speedily ran back out, a bottle of nail polish in her hands. She made her way over back to the desk and sat back down. After opening the bottle she began painting lines near the edge of Allison's desk. The liquid finishing matched the ones she discovered earlier.

"Sam what're you doing?" Allison asked, now more lost than ever.

"And what's that?" Stiles asked Allison as he pointed to the nail polish bottle Sam had now set aside on the desk.

"That's nail polish top coat" Allison answered as she looked watchfully at Sam.

Scott and Stiles looked at her as if she was speaking Turkish. "And…" Scott said.

"You use top coat after you paint your nails to seal in the nail polish you previously put on so it can last a long time. It also makes your nails look glossy-" Allison explained but then abruptly stopped once she started to realize what Sam might have figured out.

"Allison, do you have a really thin, long piece of paper about the size of your desk?" Sam suddenly asked without turning around.

"Yes" she said and ran into her closet to find some.

"You're still lost right?" Scott asked Stiles.

"Honestly, I'm more lost than when we actually started looking for the thing."

"Can you guys help me move some of this stuff off Al's desk?" Sam asked the boys.

Still in confusion, Scott and Stiles just obeyed, wanting to see where this was all going. It wasn't too long after when Allison came back out with the paper. By this time everything was cleared off the desk and Sam was ready to begin her work. She ran her hands along the top of the desk then took the large piece of paper and placed it on top. Everyone huddled around her.

She quickly found a pencil and began using it like a crayon, hurriedly moving it back and forth along the sheet. As she moved from left to right 'shading' the sheet, everyone didn't see much besides the colouring job Sam had done with the pencil. A few minutes went by when about halfway down the desk something miraculous happened. As Sam swiftly glided the pencil across the paper the lead mark had vanished but then reappeared after as the pencil kept moving. Scott and Stiles both looked at each. It was as if something underneath was causing the pencil to slightly lift off the paper but then come back down once the sheet had reached the level it was before. The lines of many thick layers of nail polish on the desk was the cause of that.

And so, as Sam continued further and further down the page, Scott, Allison, and Stiles began to discover what Lydia had left for them. It wasn't an object of any sorts that had finally appeared on the paper once Sam had finished… but words.
