Stopping outside the elevator shaft that would lead Emma to the basement Regina grabs her arm. "You need to be careful down there." She could see Emma's surprise at her caring whether she lived or died. But she did care, she was the only one who could save her son. "Maleficent she's bad as a human never mind a dragon. She will be quick and ruthless. Use your head Emma and use the sword. Like Gold said that will be the only way to defeat her, get what we need and then we can save Henry."

Emma nodded. "Okay." She stepped into the elevator shaft. Her nerves all over the place. If you had told her a few months ago that she would be stood in an elevator shaft about to go down and fight a dragon she would have laughed at the person and thought there was clearing wrong in their head. But here she was going down to a basement where a dragon lived and she had a sword in her hand ready to fight it.

How could she do this? How could she fight it? She reached the bottom and pulled up the door. Exiting she looked around her trying to prepare herself for what she was about to do. Walking through the tunnels she tried to listen out for any sound, anything that could alert her to this dragon. Walking further she entered this huge cave and she gathered this must be where the dragon was hidden. It had to be. The cave was huge, big enough to hold a dragon at least. There was an eerie silence, only the sounds of the gravel beneath her feet could be heard. She held the sword up preparing for an attack. Preparing for anything.

Looking around her there was nothing. She sighed and she leaned against the wall. Well she thought it was the wall. Pressing her hand against it her eyes opened wide. This didn't feel like the wall of a cave. It felt scaly, rough, it felt like how you would imagine a dragons skin to feel. She could feel something move behind her and she quickly stepped away from what she had been leaning on and turned round to see an enormous black menacing looking dragon standing up in the cave with big green eyes looking down at her. Staring her out. There was an orange glow in its stomach as it raised it's head and fire shot out of its mouth. Emma covered her eyes but tried her best to peak round at the dragon in front of her.

She could not believe this. Emma held her sword up, towards the dragon. She had no idea what to do. She had never used a sword before. She looked from the sword to the dragon and back to the sword again. "Oh to hell with this." She said throwing the sword down to the ground. She shifted a little and felt for her gun. Grabbing it she pulled it out and pointed it towards the dragon. This was better. That felt more right to her. Surely a dragon couldn't survive a gun? She began shooting at the dragon stepping back as she did so. Shooting and shooting and shooting. However this only seemed to make the dragon more and more angry. It's stomach glowed with the orange light once more and shot fire out towards Emma who just made it behind a rock before the fire could hit her.

"Arrgh!" She screamed diving down to the ground. She got up and ran as fast as she could, the dragon diving towards her and snapping. She dived behind huge rocks and ran the dragon narrowly missing her as it snapped at her again. She hid behind another huge rock as the dragon shot out more fire towards her. She could feel the heat of the fire and she closed her eyes for moment trying to think what she could do now. She peered round the rock and watched as the dragon stepped a little and then slipped on a rock falling down a whole from where it had perched itself. She heard it thump to the ground.

Deciding to take a look she came out from behind the rock. Slowly walking over to the edge she peered down, the dust rising up from the dragon's fall. Could it have been that easy? Could the dragon have been defeat without her really doing anything?

But as the dragon flew up from the whole, knocking Emma out of the way she realised she had not been that lucky. The dragon's eyes caught Emma and it shot out more fire towards her Emma just managing once again to dive out of the way. Emma peered round from the rock she was behind and shot at the dragon with her gun.

"Oh really!" Emma said to herself as nothing seemed to be harming the beast in front of her. She the glanced to the side of her and saw the sword she had thrown down before. Her father's sword and the words of Mr Gold rang through her mind. It is the only way you will defeat her. She looked round quickly catching sight of the dragon before quickly dashing over to the sword. She picked it up and then ran round, standing in front of the dragon. She watched it for a moment. Preparing herself.

"Hey!" Emma shouted catching the dragon's attention again.

The dragon looked at her and stood up straight. it raised its head. The orange glow in its stomach preparing the fire and Emma took this as her chance. She aimed and threw the sword at the dragon. The sword flew through the air and landed right on Emma's target, right in the middle of the orange glow in its stomach. The dragon erupted in fire, growling as the fire took over it and began to burn it to the ground. Sparks and ash flew everywhere and the light was blinding. Emma fell to the ground and covered her head with her hands.

When she dared to look up there was no dragon there. Once more there was an eerie silence that filled the room. She looked around her and spotted what she gathered would be what she needed. There in a pile of ash on the ground was a golden egg. She walked towards it and picked it up. She couldn't believe she had done it. She had defeated a dragon and she had what she needed to save Henry. She stood up and quickly made her way through the tunnels and into the elevator shaft. She gave the signal that Regina had told her to and she was soon on her way back up. She held onto the egg tightly. Not willing to lose it. Not now.

As she reached the top she saw the questioning looks on Regina and Ellie's faces. Wondering what had happened down there. Emma stepped out and held the gold egg up for them to see.

"You done it?" Regina said in a mere whisper. She couldn't quite believe Emma Swan had managed to defeat Maleficent.

"You defeated her? She's gone?" Ellie asked. Emma just nodded and Ellie leapt over and grabbed her mother hugging her tightly. Regina pulled away and gave her a little smile. They then turned to Emma. "Come on let's go."

Just as they all turned to walk out of the room Regina and Emma's phones began to ring. They both dug into their pockets and grabbed their phones and the colour drained from their faces as they saw who were calling - the hospital. They all ran out of the clock tower and ran as fast as they all could towards the hospital which wasn't far from where they had been.

They ran in, baring into people, pushing people out of the way, none of them cared. All they wanted was to get to Henry and they all hoped whatever it was would be good news. They ran up the stairs and reached the landing where Henry was. Looking over they saw Dr Whale and mother superior walking out of the room sad looks on their faces.

"We did everything we could." Dr Whale said.

"I'm sorry. Your to late." Mother Superior said.

All three women just stared at the people in front of them. Neither could utter a word for a moment just registering what they had said to them. Emma was the first to step forward, she pushed through Dr Whale and mother superior and walked into the room, Regina stepped forward, not going into the room but walking over to the window, Ellie following her. Regina ran her fingers through her hair as she stared into Henry's room seeing his lifeless body on the bed. The tears beginning to flow freely down her face. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion for the three women as they took in everything.

Emma just stared down at Henry as the nurse turned off the machines and took the oxygen mask off him. This couldn't be. She had what she needed to save him. She had got it. Everything echoed around her as she just stared down at him. She was only stirred from her state when she heard the door open and she turned slightly to see Dr Whale, Mother Superior, Regina and Ellie walk into the room. She watched Regina as she walked a little closer, her facial features changing and then her face crumpling as tears began to fall down her face.

"No…" Regina said as she began to sob turning round and falling into Ellie's arms who herself was crying as she saw her little brother lying there, lifeless on a hospital bed. "No." Regina sobbed and Ellie hugged her tightly trying to comfort her mother as best she could.

Emma turned back to Henry and began to walk over to him. Walking to the side of his bed she let the tears go. She couldn't hold them in any more. Why should she? She took hold of his hand, not feeling the usual warmth but a coldness. That wasn't right. She looked at his face not seeing his usual rosy cheeks but just paleness. That wasn't right. Her tears were just falling and falling and she knew she could not contain herself any more. She could not hold her feelings for him in any more. Not now.

Her hand reached up to his forehead and ruffled his hair a little. She leaned down and in a mere whisper said "I love you Henry." And with that she placed a soft kiss to his head. And this kiss was it. this kiss shot out magic from her and Henry. The magic she truly needed to break the curse.

Regina turned round in Ellie arms as she felt the magic shoot out from Emma and Henry. They all watched Henry waiting and within a minute they heard him take a breath and they let go of a breath they had not known they had been holding. They all smiled.

Henry looked over at Emma who placed her hand on his cheek. "I love you to." He said making her smile. 2You saved me." He said and that started Emma off again, the tears were flowing once more. However this time it was not tears of sadness but tears of happiness. Happiness that she had saved Henry.

"You did it." Regina said not quite believing it.

Magic shot through Storybrooke, hitting the residents as it went, their memories flooding back to them, hitting them hard. Everyone beginning to remember exactly who they were and exactly what had happened to them.

Emma looked around in shock. She wasn't sure what she had just done. Everyone was looking at her weirdly. "What's happened?" Emma asked.

"The curse…I think you broke it." Henry said sitting up and looking around at everyone who was staring at them.

"That was true loves kiss." Mother superior said.

"No." Regina said shaking her head. "No!" she said louder realising what had just happened. The curse had been broken, that meant…well she had no idea what that meant for her now.

Everyone turned to look at her and mother superior was the one to speak. "If I were you your majesty I'd find a place to hide."

Ignoring the woman Regina stepped forward towards Henry grabbing his hand. "Henry. No matter what you think, no matter what anyone tells you…I do you love." Regina told him with tears in her eyes. She squeezed his hand before standing up and fleeing the hospital room. She knew she needed to get away from there. Get out of the towns peoples way. She knew they would be after her. She needed to hide.

Ellie watched her mother running out of the room and then looked over at Henry. She walked over to him and took his hand just like her mother had done. "I am so happy you are okay Henry."

"You helped. Just like you promised you would." Henry smiled at her.

"Of course I did. But don't forget who else helped. Whatever these people might think of her she did help to save you Henry. And please remember what she just told you. Please remember it Henry. Because she means it. She really does. Please do not fall into the trap everyone else will. Do not fall into the trap of revenge." Ellie said to Henry. Henry just stared at her. He trusted his sister. They had always been close and he trusted her. He nodded and she smiled at her.

With everything that had been going on nobody had noticed that the golden egg had disappeared. Nobody had noticed that someone had taken it. Nobody had noticed the man limping through the forest and towards the well that was at the centre of Storybrooke. Nobody had noticed the discarded golden egg case that now lay on the forest floor.

Gold stood at the well side, with Belle by his side. He took a vile out of his pocket and looked down at the well.

"What are you going to do Rumple? What is this?" Belle asked.

"This is a very special place Belle. The waters that flow beneath here is set to help the power to return to that which one has lost." He explained.

Belle watched as he then dropped the vile down the well and they both watched as it fell fading from their sight and down into the water. Wind then flew through the air and a purple smoke began to rise out from the well and fall out through the forest.

A rumbling sound filled Storybrooke and everyone was looking out a window or up at the sky which seemed to be filled with a purple smoke. They weren't sure what to think. Was this them begin sent back to where they came from?

The only person in Storybrooke who knew what was happening was Regina who was sat in Henry's room crying her eyes out. She heard the rumbling like anyone else and this had made her go towards a window to see what was happening.

As she watched the purple smoke rise and fall around Storybrooke she smirked to herself. She knew who had done this. She knew what it was. They were not going back to where they had come from. This was magic. Magic had been brought to Storybrooke and this would be what Regina needed to survive. This would help her against the people who would look to revenge against her.
