"He wouldn't look into my memories." I sat down on the bed in Demetri's room.

His room was all dark wood paneling. It made Demetri's scent much stronger. A single window at the far side of the room showed the outside world. Rain pattered against the window pane. I watched at the droplets race down the glass before ending their life against the brick on the outside.

Demetri placed his black coat across the desk.

"He doesn't want me to remember anything does he?"

His footsteps were slow as he approached. Demetri knelt down to my eye level and placed his hands on my knees.

"I cannot give you an honest answer to that question, my love."

I cradled his face in my hands. He was mine. All mine. Forever. In one swift movement, Demetri had me swept into his arms with his mouth firmly on mine. My hands were placed against his triceps and I smiled softly.

Demetri's hands moved gently down my back and gathered the soft material of my sweater in one of his large hands. I traced my hands up his arms to his shoulder and grabbed onto his white collared shirt. I yanked the collar and the material ripped opened. Buttons flew across the room as Demetri grinned.

"Sorry," I mumbled against his lips.

"I've got plenty more."

Demetri kissed down the side of my jaw. More pieces of clothing were removed and thrown to various parts of the room. My back hit the smooth sheets. Demetri's weight pressed onto my body. I hooked a single leg over Demetri's naked waist.

Everything moved in slow motion. The various touches. The many kisses. I could feel every inch of Demetri. And the more skin on skin contact we had, the more I craved.

"I guess that answers any questions I had about vampire sex."

A deep chuckle rumbled in Demetri's chest. I ran a single finger across Demetri abdomen, making random patterns on his skin. The sky had long ago turned dark but the rain still pelted the glass of the window.

"So, this is what it's like?"

I tilted my head slightly to look at my lover. His hair was astray in several places due to my hands running through the silky strands. I smiled softly. His gaze was soft when he looked at me.

"What?"

"Never getting tired. Or having to sleep. It's strange."

"I suppose I've become accustomed to it."

I didn't say anything else. I only placed my head back onto his chest. Demetri's hand came to rest on top of it and I felt his fingers slowly ease into my hair.

I closed my eyes and listened to the rain outside. If this was what immortality was like, then I believe I could continue to live. However, it was a scary thought to know that I would never die and not knowing what was to come in a hundred years. To know that in a hundred years, I would still be alive was scary enough.

But I had Demetri. With Demetri by my side, I think that I could make it. I had him now and I would have him forever.

Thank you guys so much for reading! I'm sad to have this end but I feel so relieved that I've finally finished. I cannot thank you enough for reading and I hope you enjoyed. I will post the epilogue in a couple of days!
