Winning Project
Bella took a quick look through the lenses. "Okay, the camera's ready!"
Edward rolled his eyes when, yet again, his sister insisted on styling his hair.
"Cut it out, Alice."
"It's got a mind of its own anyways," she huffed, giving up on it.
Bella snickered, watching the brother and sister bickering.
"What are you laughing at?" Edward asked, stealing a kiss from his girlfriend.
She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Just you two."
Edward chuckled. "So, nothing new?"
"Stop stalling and get on with it before the train comes!" screamed Alice when she noticed that his brother had no intention of letting go of his girlfriend.
"All right! All right!" Edward released Bella from his arms and went to stand by the train rails.
"Okay, grab the guitar case," Bella instructed, "and look to your right."
Edward did as he was told.
"Great, let me move the camera a bit to the left… here we go."
"So much hassle for a school project," grumbled Edward, hearing the camera taking his picture.
"It's fifty percent of our final grade, Edward," Alice reminded him. "We want that A."
"Which is why I'm doing this for you."
"The sign, Alice! We forgot the sign!"
Alice gasped and quickly picked up the cardboard sign with the words "BE HOME SOON" written on it with a simple black marker.
"All of this for a design class," sighed Edward, squatting down and taking the sign from his sister.
Alice just rolled her eyes at him, tiring of explaining it to him. The project was to make an album cover, the genres were giving randomly, and Bella and Alice had gotten Blues.
Edward had written a beautiful song about the soldiers and their families, in honor of their uncle James who served in the army for three tours. The girls had been inspired by it and design the simple look around it, keeping the focus on Edward and the sign that held the title of the song.
Just as the sun was setting, they heard the whistle of a train approaching. They quickly gathered everything and went back home, having no idea that the photos they took that afternoon not only got them an A, but Edward used them for his real music cover when just a week later he was offered a record deal.
This has been an amazing experience. Thanks to Mauigirl60 and Ms. Walrus for their sparkly red pens.
This is the end of this journey, thank you for joining me on this ride.
Until next time, xo Mina
