They noticed the shadow, looked up and gasped, it was Misty and a girl with large purple hair, Ash's old friend Iris, and they were both riding on a draconic, bipedal Pokémon with light orange skin. It had large, gray eyes and a round snout with small nostrils. There were a pair of long, thin antennae, as well as a small horn on the top of its head. Its striated underbelly was cream-colored, and extended to the tip of its long, tapering tail. It had thick arms and legs ending in three claws each. Its leg joints were well-defined, while its arms had a smooth, rounded appearance. Its wings were small relative to its body, with teal wing membranes, then again that's a Dragonite for you, or more specifically Iris' Dragonite that could be identified by how it's always glaring, even when smiling like it was now. They landed and Iris told Dragonite to return,
Ash happily exclaimed, "Misty, Iris, it's great to see you!"
Misty smiled back and replied, "While it is nice to see you again we are here on business from the Pokémon Master himself, we present you and your friends an invite to come for something special, Brock will also come with his younger brother Forrest but as his brother's guest, here's the letter and see you later." They opened the letter as the two girls left and it read,
Dear Trainer,
We are pleased to announce that you've been chosen to participate in a battle with you and other chosen trainers against the Pokémon Master himself, show this letter to a pilot at any airport, port, or to anyone who can take you to Mystic Island. If you are able to take one of our hot air balloon rides that are scattered across Kalos, please come chosen trainer and bring a bunch of friends with you.

Clemont looked at it again and gasped, "That's a high honor Ash, being chosen for such a thing. There's a hot air balloon ride about ten minutes away from here, past the hill up North."
Ash bolted ahead to where he pointed and asked, "You guys coming or what?" So they ran after him,
once they got on the balloon Clemont asked, "Bonnie, do you know about the branch system of the Pokémon World?"
Bonnie nodded and replied, "Pretty much every town or city has a leader, the Mayors and Elders of these places are in charge of the law, the Gym Leaders are the next rank in the social ladder, they have two jobs, first to test trainers, and they help enforce the laws the leaders make and help to keep the leaders in check oh and sometimes Gym Leaders can be Elders or Mayors. The Elite Four, Champion, and Pokémon Masters help keep each other, Gym Leaders included, in check and also help make new rules for the people of the world to follow and to make being a trainer more fun for both people and Pokémon, also they're to help out if they feel law enforcement is becoming useless. They can also take away a trainer's trainer license if they feel they are a danger to Pokémon kind which if I'm not mistaken happened to Damian, Ash's Charizard's previous trainer and they can take all the trainer's badges and their Pokémon but only to give the Pokémon a choice between returning to the wild or staying at a nature preserve, sometimes even letting the Pokémon stay with their trainer but the Pokémon are watched carefully and will be taken away if said trainer violates a certain part of the agreement."
Serena smiled and said, "Very good Bonnie."
Bonnie happily explained, "Ash told me that, he tells me a lot about the world."
Clemont looked all around, excited about the trip, he said, "I hope they use the training system I made, I put three years of work into making the system, checking for bugs, and testing so I hope the other trainers use it." Suddenly a bunch of other balloons were next to them, some had people Ash knew like the Gym Leaders of Kanto, Johto, Hoen, Sinnoh, Unova and a few he knew from Kalos, the Champions from the regions he visited and one from Kalos he didn't know, same with the Elite Four, while others had some of his friends from his journey and a few of his rivals even.
Ash happily exclaimed, "This is more like it!"
And Pikachu happily squealed, "Pika Pikachu!" The Champion with bright blond hair,
Cynthia asked, "Shall we race to the island?"
Ash nodded so Clemont said, "Ok then, everyone hold on I'm going to make this thing go faster!" They nodded and held onto each other as it sped up, the others followed suit,

Ash let his Charizard and Fletchinder out to fly, the others who had Pokémon that could fly followed suit, Trevor looked nervous at all the giant Pokémon and looked down at his Areodactyls' pokeball sadly until Shauna and Tierno gave him some words of encouragement. He nodded and let his Pokémon out and pet him gently.
It's about hope,

Ash gave him a thumbs up as he got on Areodactyl, for about four minutes he looked perfectly fine, he was happy and looked like he truly forgot about his fears, suddenly Areodactyl started getting higher in the sky and Trevor forgot yet again that his Pokémon wouldn't hurt him. He began to fall off Areodactyl so Ash jumped onto Charizard.
It's about friends that work together,

Ash caught him and pulled him onto Charizard, Trevor calmed down than looked back with a shocked look before giving a determined smile and nodding. Charizard explained to Areodactyl what they were going to try earning a concerned look from him than a nod. Ash held onto Trevor and had Charizard keep going, Trevor's hands began to get sweaty but calmed down the moment Ash reassured him he'd be ok. Charizard moved a down a little to get out of the way of the giant flock of flying Pokémon.

The Pokémon flew close to the humans and rubbed against them playfully, Serena saw a blue, phoenix-like Pokémon with a long neck and white cheeks. It has five tail feathers, the outside ones being longer than the inner ones, Altaria, flew near with three small avian Pokémon with a round, blue body. There were two long feathers on top of their heads, and they had a short, rounded white beaks. Their wings were fluffy and white, resembling cotton or clouds. Their tiny feet were white and they had two tail feathers, Swablu, she gently petted, they then landed on the trio's head and folded their wings to look like hats. Altaria just laughed at how her chicks were acting towards the humans.

Bonnie excitedly pointed out a huge island with a bunch of Pokémon looking up at them, Ash's balloon was the first to land, everyone returned their Pokémon. A large, bipedal, purple Pokémon with distinct reptilian features. It had small, narrow eyes, large, spiny ears, fur-like tufts on its cheeks, and a short snout filled with pointed teeth. There was a long, venomous horn on its forehead. It had gray chest and belly plates, three claws on each hand, rounded spines on its elbows, and a single large nail on each foot. There was a ridge of long spines down its back, and it also had a long, powerful tail, that of course was Nidoking, he came up and greeted them.

A girl no more than nine came down the pathway, she was kind of pale, had dark blue hair and part of it was in two little pigtails, she had a long white dress that covered the top of her long blue boots, and she had large blue eyes.
Ash stepped forward and explained, "We came because of an invite from the Pokémon Master, my name's Ash."
She smiled and replied, "Jovi knows that, after you guys battle the Pokémon Master you'll be Jovi's new friends! I'm Jovi, don't worry Jovi knows all your names well the Pokémon Master isn't here yet so follow Jovi so we can get the challengers sorted from the guests." So they followed her,
Jovi got to two passageways and said, "Barry, Ash, Ritchie, Stephan, Shauna, Bianca, Teirno, and Trevor are going to be battling, everyone else will head through the passageway on the right, there will be one battle per day. You may at any time use our training facilities." The way she said it made it sound like she had practiced that very speech for days,
Jovi then asked, "Would any of you like to use the training facilities? Even the ones who won't be battling can use them."
Ash stepped forward and replied, "I know how tough this battle will be, even with all the training in the world we might not win, but I'd like to use the training facilities while I can."
He turned to his rivals and asked, "You guys with me?"
They smiled and cheered, "Yeah!"
Jovi nodded and said, "Ok follow Jovi, we use Clemont's special training device. We have the teleporters hooked up at each Professor's lab so we just have to tell them you gave the ok to transfer them oh and you can train more than six Pokémon but you need to choose one of any type that you caught and we'll decide which course any dual types you have should go on. You'll each have your own training room and that should be all, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask." They were led to eight empty rooms,
Jovi asked, "You guys ready to start?"
They nodded so she pressed a button and said, "Begin!"
I had to do the song, it was so fitting, anyways sorry if this seems bad my muse is fleeting and my sister likes to mess around with things she shouldn't so I couldn't go onto the site the last two weeks, *sigh* and she's supposed to be older? Anyways most training will take place off screen like usual, next we'll meet the Pokemon Master and yes I made the branch system of the Pokémon world up, they never explain poke-politics so...anyways see ya later.
