A/N- Hello, everyone that is still wanting to read this story. I just want to take a second to apologize for not updating after such a long time. Honeslty, there are no excuses. I just was off faniction for a while, needing to take a break, and then I was losing my motivation for this story. I want to re-write it really badly because I hate the way I had written it. The grammar is really bad especially in the beginning, and I had the way I had written certain things, especially the explanation of Bonnie becoming a hybrid.
I'm not going to re-write it all at the moment because that isn't fair to you guys and I still have a long way to go for this story, (remember I have to still write part two and we're only a little past halfway on part one, I believe.)
I don't really like that I'm writing such a long story because I feel like I'm going to lose alot of you along the way since it's so long, and people are going to eventually lose interest, but for those of you who love long stories, then I hope this will be very enjoyable for you.
Short chapter because I just wanted to get this up and because I was having writer's block on how to write this story out. AND also because my computer died on me while in the middle of writing it and I lost a lot of my work which made me lose motivation after writing all of that hard work.
I hope you enjoy.
The brunette in front of the three of them was smirking very proudly of herself. She was glad she got such a reaction out of the three of them.
Bonnie knew right off the bat that something was off. Something felt...strange when she stared at Katherine. And Katherine was smirking way too much. Too much to make Bonnie feel very uneasy at the moment, and it wasn't just queasiness from the baby.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Bennett witch. Didn't expect to see you here." Said Katherine as she watches the three of them stand up from their seats and walk around the table. Her eyes immediately capture the small bump showing through the pajama shirt Bonnie was wearing. With her eyebrows now raised, Katherine speaks again, "I didn't expect that either. Who's the lucky baby daddy?" She smirked.
Bonnie simply opened her mouth to speak but then realized she didn't know what to say. No one can know about her and Damon's baby. She just didn't realize how hard this was going to be.
Damon cut in, "He isn't in the picture."
Katherine frowned for a mere second, but that went unnoticed by them. She shrugged her right shoulder without a care, "Hmm. Can't say I don't blame the boy. I wouldn't want to be trapped by the judgey little witch."
Damon cut to the chase, biting his tongue from lashing out at the older vampire, "What do you want, Katherine?"
"Wait, I'm far too interested in this conversation . Why is the witch here and not my doppelgänger? I'm curious. Was my slightly less beautiful twin unable to please the two of you? Did you boys move on to a pregnant woman? Even that's kind of pathetic for the two of you."
Bonnie glared, "That's not what's going on here. I'm just staying with Stefan and Damon because I had no place to go-"
"And I'm bored already. Wow, that didn't keep me entertained long enough." Katherine yawned. She crossed her arms above her chest and turned her attention to Stefan. "How are you, Stefan?" She purred, causing Bonnie and Damon to mentally gag.
Stefan shifted on his two feet awkwardly. "Why are you here, Katherine?"
She rolled her eyes, "You guys are no fun." When they didn't comment she tapped her foot for a moment. She sighed. "Can't I just say that I came here because I missed you, Stefan?" Everyone was quiet again. "Whatever. I came here to tell you about the shooter."
Bonnie immediately stood up straighter. She was all ears.
Damon on the other hand was very doubtful. "And why would you do that?"
Katherine shrugged, "Because I dislike the shooter more than I do the three of you. Rather watch them die with blood on your hands than mine."
Damon was still suspicious. "And who is said person?"
"Lauren Carson."
The three of them blinked.
"Who?" Stefan asked. He had never heard that name before in his life. Neither had Bonnie or Damon.
Katherine rolled her eyes. "She's this old vampire I had problems with in the seventeenth century. I can hold a grudge." She smirked slightly then became serious again. "There's rumors going on around a few more vampire occupied states, that Mystic Falls is being ran by supernatural power. And somehow Damon's name is mentioned in every conversation of the subject."
This was all too sketchy for Damon and Stefan to believe. Plus the fact that it simply didn't make sense.
Damon scowled, "How did a rumor like that come about? And why is my name being thrown around?"
Katherine glared at him, "As if I know the answers to that. I'm just the messenger."
"Which also is our other concern." Stefan spoke up. "Why are you telling us this?"
Katherine sighed loudly, rolling her eyes. "Like I said before, I want Lauren Carson dead more than you. And I figure telling you that means you'll go after her and I wouldn't have to worry about doing my dirty work and having the fault on my hands." She smirked.
Bonnie furrowed her eyebrows, "I don't see the problem with you having blood on your hands. You usually don't care about that sort of thing."
"Oh, did I forget to mention that she's also Erick Kelly's girlfriend."
Bonnie was confused but Damon and Stefan sure weren't. They knew exactly who that was.
"Who's Erick Kelly?" Asked Bonnie.
Damon groaned, "He's a powerful vampire. About eight hundred years old. He's worse than ripper Stefan, let's just say."
Bonnie's eyes widened in worry. "Is he in town with her?" She asked Katherine.
Katherine shook her head, "If he was here you'd know. Too many "animal attacks" would be going on."
Bonnie couldn't help but look at Katherine. Something about her seemed so off. Maybe it was because Katherine was being sort of nice to them for once. Maybe that's what made her seem so, un-Katherine like.
Damon shook his head stubbornly. "There's no proof to any of this. It all seems like a bunch of bullshit to me."
Then a sudden thought came to Bonnie. "Katherine, how did you know about the shooting in the first place?"
Katherine blinked. Her shoulders sagged a little before tensing back up. "I heard it through the grapevine. Vampires are big gossipers if you couldn't tell, Bonnie." She rolled her eyes.
Stefan cut in, "But how would other vampires know about-"
"I don't know!" Exclaimed Katherine, who seemed slightly uneasy now. Catching herself, she takes a deep breath, calming herself down. "Look, I didn't come here to play twenty questions with you all. I gave you the information that you needed, and now I'm leaving."
Damon opened his mouth to speak but Katherine had turned on her heel and sped off, leaving the three of them alone again. "Fuck." He spoke under his breath.
Running her hand down her face, Bonne said, "It still doesn't make sense. She didn't explain why Lauren Carson would want to kill Damon in the first place. Does she want power? If her boyfriend is as bad as he sounds then she should already have a lot of power. Besides who would want power of Mystic Falls."
Stefan and Damon spoke in unison, "Everyone."
She looked between the two of them in confusion.
Stefan sighed. "The originals had been here. Word about that gets around. That makes Mystic Falls kind of special. If it's good enough for the originals, then it must be good enough for Any vampire. Hearing that Damon is in control of the town...well that would cause jealous power hungry vampires to kind of come after him."
Now she got it, and now she hated it.
Damon put his hand on her shoulder, "Don't stress. Don't think about it. It's not good for the baby."
Bonnie shook her head. "How can you expect me not to freak out, Damon? Someone's after you. Whether it really is that Lauren chick or not, someone is still after you. I-I- I can't handle it if something ..."
He wraps his arm around her and pulled her into his chest. "Don't worry about me. Just worry about the baby. That's all I want you to do."
Not even a minute later they got a phone call from Caroline. Someone had tried to kill Jeremy.
A month after Jeremy had almost died and everyone was now pretty sure that it must, and has to be, this Lauren Carson woman.
Caroline found Jeremy behind The Grille with his neck ripped out and blood surrounding him. He has no memory of who had attacked him, excpet for the woman was blond. He remembers her walking away from him as he laid there dying. But he kept saying her voice sounded familiar. Too familiar.
Also over the past month Bonnie's stalker has been sending her letter every week. Each letter gets more creepy and cryptic about her knowing Bonnie's baby. Also becoming more threatening.
Damon has a theory that maybe the stalker is Lauren. Yet, there is no proof of that what's so ever and the timing is very off. Plus, why would this Lauren girl harass Bonnie? Especially since she had harassed Elena first. Why the two of them?
Today though, Bonnie and Damon decided not to think of any of that. Today was the day they would get to find out the sex of their baby.
With a lot of begging and pleading from the both of them, Damon and Bonnie were able to get Stefan and Caroline not to want to go to the appointment.
Well that, and telling them that the appointment was scheduled for Wednesday instead of Monday.
"I'm nervous." Admitted Bonnie as the two of them waited in the waiting room. Their doctor was recommended to them by Dr. Fell and they were able to be comfortable with their new doctor; Dr. Anders.
Damon smirked, "What? Afraid we're gonna end up with triplets or something?"
Bonnie rolled her eyes, "I'm not dumb. You would have heard and extra two heartbeats, Damon."
He shrugged, "You never know. Stuff like that happens."
Now she was glaring at him. "Do you really want to stress me out right now?"
Damon gulped. He shook his head very quickly, "No. Of course not."
Bonnie's mood swings have been very peculiar , to say the least. She'll one minute, love Damon and shower him with kisses, then the next she's burning him and kicking him out of their room.
Yes. Their room.
They hadn't even realized it was happening until one night, when Damon and Bonnie were brushing their teeth in his large and beautiful bathroom. Damon didn't realize that Bonnie's tooth brush, makeup, and hair products were in his bathroom on her side of the counter until then. Then he realized that practically half of her clothes were in his drawers from the amount of times she spent the night in his room and he did the laundry, doing her clothes along with it, and putting them away with his.
He eventually brought it up that night and told her she should just move in. It's not like it was such a big difference anyway. With only a slight hesitation, Bonnie had agreed and they moved all her clothes and other things that night. Making it official.
Did they say their "I love yous"? No. The two of them were very skeptical and thought maybe the other hadn't meant it the way the thought. Sadly. More Bonnie, than Damon. She thinks the way he meant it was as a friend, if that.
Then why does she keep sleeping with him? Because she's pregnant. She's horny, vulnerable, and honestly, she loves him with all her being, and she'll take whatever she can get from him.
She knows he's not in love with Elena or Katherine, that much is obvious. But she still can't help but feel maybe she isn't right. She's nothing like either of them. She thinks she simply isn't his "type". Well, the type that he falls in love with for sure.
If Damon still isn't in love with her by the time the baby is born, then she'll move on. She'll find a guy that can love her. She may not love him the way she loves Damon, she doesn't see how she can after loving him so much, but she'll try at least. She'll try.
When they were called into the room Damon held her hand the whole time. She changed into her gown and laid across the seat. Damon stood beside her. The appointment went on as the doctor came in.
Before they knew it, the doctor was putting the gel on Bonnie's small round belly, and both their eyes were glued to the monitor above.
"Okay, now let me see here." Said the doctor as she moved the wand around Bonnie's skin.
Damon held her hand tightly as the nerves swelled up within him. He heard the baby's heart beat loud and clear. So did Bonnie as well. He loved the smile she wore every time she heard it. It melted him just a little bit.
"It seems to be...that you are having a baby boy. Congratulations, mom and dad!"
Tears fell from Bonnie's eyes. Aha had never been so happy. She was having a baby boy!
Damon's breathing stopped. A son. He's having a son. A little boy, with a mix of him and Bonnie. Oh how he loved the sound of that.
A son.
Their son.
Oh how they already loved and cherished their baby boy.
A/N- So... anyone trust Katherine?
