Chapter 25- Heidi POV

I opened my eyes and I could see the snow was getting thicker, so my time was limited. I began to run but I kept on sliding and falling because of the ice. Every time I would fall, I would stumble to get up and walk again. Now, where was Joseff? If Hans came to him would have Roar been able to stop Hans? I thought that Joseff most likely was close by, but if he was with Hans hopefully they weren't far. I could feel some tears roll down my cheeks, and I knew I couldn't search any longer. I had to go back to the castle, the wind was getting stronger and the snow was falling faster and thicker. I decided to go to the barn, and look for a reindeer or horse who could carry me. Slowly I made my way into the warm barn, I opened the pen of a pretty strong reindeer and I got on his back. Soon enough we were outside in the cold air, I couldn't really see anything and I didn't even have a real plan. I thought about how hard it has been lately. One of us was always getting lost, or sick, or hurt none of us were really happy. Maybe if I did find Hans I would just decided to go with him since I feel that I am a problem, and I can't really be part of this family. Soon enough I could see the few lights of town, and the place where I met Hans. The town was basically empty since everyone was at the castle, and no one bothered to miss such a lavish party. It was getting colder, and I could feel my ears begin to numb. I looked at all the houses we passed by, since not a single light was even lit. I got off the reindeer and held his reins as he followed me. We walked down a few different streets, when I heard someone faintly yell,

"Heidi!"

I looked around and yelled,

"Joseff? Anybody?"

I heard someone yell my name a few times, and I tried to follow the direction of the voice. The yell was getting faintly louder until; I knew I was very close. I continued to yell Joseff when I could see two very tall figures in the distance. I squinted my eyes and I could see them coming closer. I saw Hans walk up to me. Me said,

"Harpa, I can't believe your back. My plan worked, I knew if I caught Anders you would be dumb enough to find him. This time your not leaving, now that I have both of you I am not letting you go."

I said,

"If you let Joseff go, I will go with you. I won't leave just let him go. Please?"

Joseff said,

"No! I'm not letting you leave with him. He is to dangerous."

Hans said,

"Well if you two don't make up your mind I'm just taking both of you."

I ran to Joseff and quietly whispered to him,

"Please Joseff trust me. I will go with him, you go back to the castle. Please Joseff, please. I promise I will come back, I always do. I'm smart, very smart I promise I will beat him. Please Joseff, I know I can do this. I won't listen to him, I never do. Goodbye Joseff."

Joseff whispered,

"Fine. You have three years, if you don't come back by then I will find you."

I hugged him one last time and walked over to Hans. I said,

"I'll go with you."

"You made a good choice. Let's go right now."

Hans went over to Joseff and said,

"Get out of here. Don't look for us. Don't you dare tell your "family" what happened either."
