"URSULA!"

Ursula swiftly turned around and was shocked to see an upset Eric glaring at her.

"Well, well, well! Look who's here!" She sneered.

"Let Ariel go!" Eric yelled. How dare she bring Ariel into this mess!

"Not a chance!" Ursula spat. "The sooner I get rid of this little tramp of yours, the faster I'll get rid of you and your little brat!" The wicked lady about to try to pull the trigger again when Eric quickly grabbed her arm.

"Not on my watch!" He barked. Soon they got into a fist fight.

"Eric, no!" Ariel gasped. She was relieved that Eric stood up to Ursula but she didn't want Eric to fight with her-what if he gets shot? She can't let Ursula hurt Eric! Ariel managed to get free from Flotsam and Jetsam by stepping on their toes with both of her feet. They both screamed very loudly. While Eric and Ursula were struggling with a gun against each other, Sebastian and Scuttle dashed inside the bedroom. Sebastian quickly punched Flotsam. Scuttle kicked Jetsam before Jetsam tried to grab Ariel again.

"Don't mess with our friend's kid!" Sebastian threatened.

"Yeah!" Scuttle chimed in.

Meanwhile, Eric and Ursula were still struggling against each other. Ursula used all her strength to knock Eric off her. She pointed her gun toward him.

"You're mine!" Ursula cackled. Ariel knew she had to think quick. She picked up a metal baseball bat that was lying in her room (she and Melody had planned on playing softball over the weekend).

"Here Eric, catch!" Ariel shouted as she tossed the baseball bat to Eric. He caught it, much to Ursula's surprise. Ursula shot a few bullets but Eric dodged every one of them with the baseball bat.

"Quit, confusing you fool!" Ursula barked. On every shot she made, Eric dodged them all. Frustrated that she ran out of bullets, Ursula angrily, threw her gun at the baseball bat, causing Eric to drop it. (Don't worry, it landed some inches away from his feet!) Before Ursula could launch herself on Eric, Ariel grabbed Ursula by the arms.

"Leave him alone!" Ariel cried. Tried as she could, Ariel could not lead Ursula away. Ursula used her free arm, to knock Ariel down to the ground. "Run, Eric, run!" Ariel shouted. Eric took her advice by running down the hallway. He ran downstairs and into the living room. Aquata was already speaking into her walkie-talkie.

"Eric, I had already called the squad. They should be here in no time! You and Melody will be safe!" Aquata explained.

"Thank you, Aquata!" Eric sighed with relief. Then, his eyes widened. "Oh crud! How could I forget about my own daughter!?" Hedashed upstairs toward Melody's bedroom.

Back at Ariel's room, Sebastian and Scuttle were still fist-fighting Flotsam and Jetsam. Ariel had managed to get up and tackled Ursula before the evil witch could take after Eric.

Eric dashed into Melody's bedroom. He quickly began shaking Melody.

"Melody, wake up! Wake up!" He cried. Melody was still tired.

"Uh, I'm too sleepy!" she moaned.

"No, Melody! You need to wake up now!" Eric cried, desperately.

"Why?" Melody yawned.

"We're in trouble! Bad guys broke into our house!" Eric explained, quickly. That woke up Melody right there! She began to feel very afraid. Eric quickly led Melody down from her room to the stairs.

"Go and stay with Aquata. I'm going to help Ariel, okay?" Eric whispered.

"Okay," Melody whispered back. She was still confused about what's going on, but she trusted her father. Obediently, she went downstairs and stayed with Aquata. Aquata and Melody went outside to see if the patrol made it to the house. Eric was about to turn around and save Ariel when suddenly, somebody grabbed his arm! It was Ursula! They both got into another fist fight. It wasn't long until Ursula threw Eric downstairs. He tumbled down and landed at the bottom of the stairs. Thankfully, Eric was still alive. He tried to get up, but his body hurt. Ursula walked down the steps and kicked him a bunch of times until he was near the front door. Eric winced in pain. Her kicks were hard enough to leave him black-and-blue marks! He looked up helplessly at Ursula as she pulled out a spare gun from her chest.

"Say goodbye, Eric!" Ursula cackled, evilly. She pointed her gun at him.

"Nooooo!" Ariel screamed as she rushed in between Ursula and Eric. Just as she did, Ursula pulled the trigger! The bullet struck Ariel in her upper arm! She gripped her arm because it was in pain. Eric was horrified at what just happened. Using all his strength, he got and went to Ariel.

"Ariel!" He cried.

"I'm okay, Eric," Ariel said, softly. She winced as she felt more pain in her arm.

"Oh no! Don't worry, I'll get you to the hospital!" Eric said, as he wrapped Ariel around his arms, trying to keep her from falling.

"Oh, good thing I have one more bullet left because I'll make sure you two get to the graveyard, instead!" Ursula cackled, as she greedily load more bullets in her gun. Suddenly, the front door opened. It was Aquata, Melody, and the police!

"There she is, boys! That's the woman who tried to Eric and Melody Barnes!" Aquata explained.

"Ursula, you are under arrest for kidnapping and attempted murder!" said Officer J. Audubon Woodlore, as he handcuffed Ursula. The mean lady said nothing but only grumbled. The other officers that went upstairs, came down with Flotsam and Jetsam both in handcuffs as well. Sebastian and Scuttle followed.

The police took Ursula, Flotsam, and Jetsam away while Aquata and Eric took Ariel to the hospital.
Melody looked worried when she noticed Ariel in pain.

"Oh, she'll be fine, kid," Scuttle assured her.

"You think so?" Melody asked.

"Of course, Ariel's a big girl!" Scuttle said, confidently.

Sorry that the original chapter was unrealistic and crazy. I hope this remake was an improvement.
