"Em'ly." Raphael repeatedly poked Emiliah's forearm with one of his three large fingers. "Em'ly!"

Emily jumped awake. She had been sleeping in a cot as she slept over with the turtles. She sighed and took Raph's hand. "What's up, buddy?" Emily sleepily said.

"My belly hurts and I don't wanna wake up dad. I think I'm gonna puke. Can you take me to the bathroom?"

Emily noticed the discomfort in Raph's pretty green eyes. She sighed again and squeezed her friend's hand. "Sure. Vamanos."

Raph and Emily walked to the bathroom. Raph held his hand over his stomach. Once they reached the toilet, Raph sat down in front of it and Emily went to close the coor. Before she could even hear the click of the door hinge, Raph was heaving over the toilet. Emily just dropped everything and went to help her friend in need. "My poor baby," she whispered as she slipped her left hand into Raph's and laid her right hand on his shell. "I'm sorry."

Raph puked for about two minutes. After he was finally done, his throat hurt, he felt shaky and weak, and he was tired. But at least his belly felt a little better. He leaned into Emily and rested his head on her stomach, sniffling. Emily squeezed his hand and wiped his eye. "Do you feel better?"

Raph lightly nodded his head. "A little bit. My throat hurts though. And my mouth tastes funny."

Emily bent down, so that her crystal blue eyes met Raph's emerald green ones. "Would tea help?"

Raph smiled. "Probably." Emily kissed his nose and helped him up so they could go to the kitchen. The six-year-old turtle sat himself down in a kitchen chair and rested his head on his arms. Before Em did anything, she put a bucket by Raph's side.

"Guys?" Both their heads turned at the sound of another turtle's voice. That voice belonged to Leonardo. "You guys weren't in bed and I got worried. What're you doing out here?"

Emily looked at Raph, asking if it was alright to tell his brother. He gave her a brief nod, and Emily looked back at Leo. "Raphie got sick. I'm getting him tea to help."

Leo looked a little surprised, but his expression softened. "Well now that I'm up, can I stay out here with you guys?"

Emily shrugged. "Sure, why not."

Leo walked down and put a hand onto his brother's shell. "How ya feelin'?" Raph gave him a brief "good" and yawned. Leo kissed him on the cheek. Normally, Raph would have shrugged him off or rolled his eyes, but right now he was so tired and achy, he just smiled.

Leo then went over to join Emily, who was struggling with a filled tea kettle. "You don't know what to do with a tea kettle?"

"I know how to work a tea kettle, 'ya dumbo," Emily scoffed. Leo just laughed and rolled his eyes. "I just don't know how to work the stove." Leo noticed that it wasn't the brass kettle she had been staring at, but the knobs on the stove. She cautiously reached up at turned one, and jumped back when a flame burst to life on one of the burners and slightly scorched her arm. "Okay, that just happened," She breathed, waving her burnt arm up and down. "Now we just wait for it to scream."

Leo looked at Emily, his face serious. "Is Raphie gonna be okay?"

Emily bit her lip and looked back at Raph, who was dozing off on the table. "Yeah, it's just a bug," she turned back to Leo, her expression as serious as his. "But I have a feeling that it's gonna take teamwork to get 'im through the night. So are you with me?" Leo gave a quick nod and blew it up with Emily, and they both went over to sit next to Raph.

"My belly hurts again," he complained. "But I don't think I'm gonna barf again." Emily slipped her hand into his and rubbed his knuckles with her thumb.

Leo touched his forehead. "I'm gonna get get the terma-... thermo…"

"Thermometer?" Emily said.

"Yeah. That thing. The magic temeratury taking stick." Emily chuckled as Leo hopped off his chair and ran to the closet. He came back with the white stick in hand. "Keep it under your tongue," he said as he pressed the button and gave it to his brother. Raph stuck it under his tongue and went cross-eyed as he tried to read the screen.

Emily screamed when the tea kettle went off. After that, she just sat there for a moment, a look on her face that said "I hate everything".

"Hurry!" Leo pestered. "Before daddy wakes up!"

"Okay okay fine," Emily raised her hands up in the air and went to get the kettle off the burner. She then poured the water into a sippy cup and dipped a tea bag in. She hummed while she did. Emily heard a quiet beeping noise and Raph groan loudly. "What's the verdict?"

"99.6. He's got a fever, alright." Leo stated. Raph let out a fake sob.

Emily walked over, the red sippy cup (with a racecar on it) in hand. "Here, buddy." She handed it to Raph, who stuck it in his mouth. "There's more water. Do you want some, Leo?" Emily asked. Leo nodded. Emily poured more water into a blue sippy cup with a ducky on it and a purple one with a bunny on it. If she washed everything, no one would care that they used the utensils. She served the tea to herself and her friend and drank. The aroma started to make them drowsy.

"I have to use the potty." Raph said at one point. "Can one of you go with me?"

Leo took Raph's hand and walked him to the bathroom. Raph didn't like going to the bathroom alone at night out of fear that a bug might crawl on him. Emily washed and dried the kettle and cups and put them back where they belonged.

Raph came out of the bathroom a little later with Leo. He fell onto the couch, his head buried in his knees and sniffling. Emily ran over and draped his arms over him. "Raphie? What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Raph lifted his head from his knees, but didn't look at Emily. "My guts are gonna fall out."

"Wh-... what?" Emily looked up at Leo, hoping for an explanation.

"He had diarrhea," Leo said. Emily mouthed "Oh," and pulled Raph into a hug. "Raphie, that's impossible. Your guts won't fall out," she said, rubbing his shell.

"Promise?" Raphie whimpered.

Emily smiled. "I promise." She laid down on the sofa, propping her back up on the arm of the couch. Raph climbed on top of her, putting his head on her chest. Leo climbed up next to them and put down a blanket.

Emily gently stroked Raph's arm. He fell asleep with his cheek smushed up against Emily and the tip of his thumb in his mouth. Emily wrapped him up in the blanket and looked at Leo. "Let's put 'im in bed."

They got up and Emily carried Raph back to the room they all shared, Raph's bottom resting in the crook of Emily's arm. "He looks like a Raphie burrito," Leo stated. Emily was sure to wrap Raph up snugly.

Emily finally set Raph down in his cot and she and Leo each kissed his still warm forehead. They stepped back, admiring their work. "I feel like a mommy," Leo said.

Emily triumphantly crossed her arms. "Then we would make awesome mommies." Her and Leo blew it up one more time, and then went back to bed.
