Alice's P.O.V
Chapter 23:
I lingered in Jeff's room, he had been gone for a while now. Almost three hours, I felt almost lonely with his usual companion ship. I gazed, dazed by my Vorpal Blade. Taking in all of its curves, all of its shape. A fascinating work of art. I pressed the cool metal on my hands and sighed, so pleasantly familiar. I let the knife disappear back into my mind and I watched Jeff's room. The walls were plain, the floor made out of wood and the walls were dry. In his room there was only his bed and a desk, I gazed at the desk. A curious desire lingered through my brain, looking around I took in that I was alone. Standing up from his bed I gently caressed his wooden desk, nothing lay on it. Not even a chair accompanying it, just a barren desk. I looked at the drawers, There were 3 drawers, all neatly shut. I grabbed the handle of the first one and gently pulled, it didn't open. Digging my brow into my forehead I tried again, it didn't open. Cursing under my breath I examined the drawer. A small key hole was neatly placed in the center of each drawer. "Of course.." I whispered under my breath, I fingered the key hole. Sighing, it reminded me of the key that my sister once hand. I bit down on my lips, closing my eyes I imagined a small silver key. Then I felt the tip of metal kiss into my hands, I opened them up and saw the key. Grinning, I pressed it inside of the lock and turned. It clicked happily and the drawer opened.
Not a slither of guilt licked through me, Jeff got to go through my life. He got to see everything, feel everything I had to feel. Why couldn't I just go through his drawer. There wasn't much in it, only a photo frame and scraps of paper. I picked up the photo frame, two boys were in the photo. Each of them had there arms over one anothers shoulders, both of them smiling happily. I recognised one of the boys to be Jeff. Ragged brown hair, bright hopeful eyes. He was human once, then I looked at the other boy. He looked like a memory, a memory of Jeff's previous life. He stared lovingly at Jeff, a friend. Maybe even a brother.
"What do you think you're doing?" I heard a familiar growl, I didn't look up. I didnt need to, it was Jeff. Instantly he ran over and snatched the photo out of my hands and slammed it inside of the drawer, kicking it closed. He grabbed my wrists and pushed me against the wall. I looked into his eyes, raising a brow. He barred his sharp dagger teeth at me and growled, his lidless eyes burned with anger. "What were you doing going through my stuff!" He yelled at me, I looked up at him, not uttering a word. I was fixated by him, anger leaked out of his voice. Pain lurked inside of his eyes, and I just wanted to drink it all up. I wanted to watch him, his beautiful dark aura. He frowned, "Answer me!" I sighed and replied, "I got bored Jeff..." He groaned and pushed me onto the bed. Jumping on top of me and raising his long knife to my throat, he stared at me. His killer face was on. His heavy body pressed me onto the bed, cutting off the blood circulation to my arms and legs. Causing pins and needles to race through me almost painfully, I quietly struggled underneath him. He leaned the knife on my neck and whispered, "I should kill you" Grinning I whispered back, "Just try" I let my strength flood over my petite body and I pushed him away, I kicked his stomach and he leaped up from the bed. My Vorpal Blade slipped into my grip and I charged at him, leaning the blade at his neck as I pinned him to the wall.
