Hey, hey, hey my friends, how are we all?

We have now reached the stage of the story where everything is drawing to a close. As you might have guessed by the chapter title this is indeed the epilogue. I would like to thank all the people who reviewed on my last chapter, as always, you make my day!

Princess Selina: Peace is always good after chaos, it gives you time to sleep! They needed a nice conversation like that. Thanks for the review my friend, until next time.

Life-Luvr123: You're right, a kiss in those circumstances probably wouldn't have worked to well. Thank you so much for your support, I'm really happy that you like my characters so much. Thank you for the review my dear friend, I hope to see you again soon.

Little Bit Loopy: You have your account back! That is fantastic! It does sometimes feel a little odd to have relaxed moments in the Transformers series, Michal Bay went to town with his Bayhem. Channel that inner crazy psycho stalker fan with all your might Loopy! Where is Ally's romance? I totally forgot that I had originally put that in the old preview of I'm the All Spark. Sadly Loopy, you will have to wait, I'm not saying forever, just a little longer (trying not to give too much away here) I have no desire to face your wrath Loopy, trust me. Until next time my friend!

KillStrikePrime-PhoenixNova: Thank you my friend, I'm glad you like it so much. Hopefully you will also enjoy this chapter.

So, I believe that is all for now, please enjoy what will be one of the final instalments of Meet the Matrix.

Chapter 25: Epilogue

It was mid-morning, the sun was out, but the chills of the steadily closing in winter were hinting the air. I was walking alongside Abbie and Hamish listening as the two discussed hotly the best route back to their college. Despite my offers to simply teleport them home, Hamish had been insistent that he would prefer to drive, obviously remembering what had happened last time, namely Jetfire's dodgy space bridging. Abbie had been on the same page as her boyfriend for once with that, and so the decision had been made that they would drive, most likely in circles because neither one could make up their mind about the route.

'Are you sure you don't want Bumblebee to drive us?' Abbie asked curiously as Hamish unlocked his car.

'I'm sure Abbie. As much as I appreciate your friends and everything, I'd like to drive in a car that isn't going to transform while I'm in it,' Hamish insisted stubbornly, 'besides, Bee's tired. He could do with a rest.'

Abbie just rolled her eyes as I giggled softly, eyeing the musky green 1977 Mercedes, 'are you sure that thing runs?'

Hamish looked offended, 'of course it does! It runs perfectly!'

Abbie and I both started laughing at his indignant face and voice. Hamish just glared at the two of us and slid into the driver's seat, slamming the door closed and pouting out of the front window. Abbie sighed and tapped on the window insistently until he opened it and glared at her.

'Ally was just kidding. I for one love your car,' she smiled at him.

'Thank you Abbie,' he said grouchily.

I snickered before Abbie jammed her elbow into my ribs to shut me up. As I rubbed my side crossly Abbie perched herself on the bonnet of the car and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, gazing across at the base spread out before us. If I was going to be perfectly honest, it felt weird to be back on Diego Garcia, I had gotten a bit too used to the idea of trailing around deserts and hunting down mystical tombs. Even though it had only taken three days, it had felt much, much longer at the time. We had only been back at the base for twenty four hours, long enough for Abbie to get a proper cast on her wrist and all of us to hit the hay like we hadn't slept for twenty years. And much to my surprise, Abbie already wanted to go back to college. Actually, to be honest I wasn't that surprised that she wanted to be gone so quickly, I had just been hoping that she would have wanted to stay around for a bit longer.

'Are you sure that you don't want to stay just a little bit longer?' I asked softly and she sighed.

'I wish I could, but I need to go back to college, I've already missed most of a week,' she explained.

'But it's not like they care if you're not there, they don't exactly call your parents and ask after you.'

Abbie just gave me a look, before saying, 'it's not just that. Someone has to keep Hamish out of trouble.'

'Oi,' Hamish piped up, 'I'm not the one with the crazy alien friends.'

'Your friends may not be alien, but they certainly are crazy,' Abbie retorted.

'Abbie, be nice to your wimpy boyfriend,' I chastised her in a friendly way, this time managing to dodge her elbow, 'I still can't get over how quickly you forgave him. One minute you were plotting his imminent demise and the next you were kissing him like tomorrow was never going to arrive. It was both confusing and gross.'

Abbie glared at me, 'would you shut up about that?'

'No. This is the first time I've mentioned it anyway,' I shrugged.

'Oh right, must be Ironhide who won't let it go?'

'Most likely. He does have a habit of being very persistent.'

'You will not mention it again though Ally, do you understand?'

I hid a smile, 'or what?'

'Or I will start going on about you and Optimus's cute little chat on the boat home,' she said smugly and I just looked at her blankly.

'What do you mean?'

'Oh honey, if he was human the two of you would-' she suddenly stopped, 'you know what, you are far too innocent to have this conversation.

'Have what conversation?' I demanded, 'Abbie, what are you talking about?'

'Never mind, when you're old enough you'll find out,' Abbie dismissed me hurriedly and changed the subject right out of the blue, 'so what will you and the 'bots be doing now that this is all over?'

I looked around at the base for a long second, 'I don't know. Probably getting everyone back on their feet, then we'll go back to scouring the world for evil. I'm not really sure. We'll think of something mischievous to do in our spare time.'

'I don't care as long as it's not another car wash, Bee complained for days about that.'

'He enjoyed that! At least I think he did?'

'No. No he didn't.'

I shrugged, 'well maybe I'll introduce them to the wonders of a drive in cinema.'

'Just don't use it as a date opportunity, they will never forgive you for that, one little kiss and Bee starts blasting dirty rap until it gets way too awkward to be within four feet of each other,' Abbie warned.

I just laughed, 'Well unlike you, I don't have to worry about boyfriends. Besides, I don't think you can blame Bee for that. You were sitting inside him; imagine how awkward it is for him?'

Abbie made a small noise of acknowledgement, 'I figured. Hamish and I started taking the rust bucket after that.'

Hamish stuck his head out of the window, 'my car is not a rust bucket!'

'Yes it is honey, and don't you forget it,' Abbie smiled at him sweetly, 'now, are you capable of driving us home or do you need me to?'

'I can drive Abbie, I'm not completely useless although I might act like it sometimes,' Hamish rolled his eyes, 'Just a quick reminder you act useless just to make me carry you around.'

Abbie stopped for a long while, '...Oh shut up!'

'No. So, are we leaving now or staying another night?'

Abbie just huffed and shoved his head back inside the car, 'be patient Hamish. Give me a minute.'

She turned back to me and I smiled softly, 'I'll see you when you next decide to visit?'

'Or you could visit me. One of your friends transforms into a plane you know,' Abbie grinned, 'and if your entrance is that dramatic, I think I can forgive a few surprise visits. Plus, it'll get me out of lectures.'

'Well now doesn't that sound like a plan,' I giggled, unable to help but picture the looks on people's faces if I landed in a jet in the middle of a courtyard.

'I'm not sure how much trouble we'd get into though,' Abbie looked thoughtful.

'I'm the All Spark, what can they do about it?' I shrugged, 'Besides, you'd go all Xena queen of the chainsaw on their asses.'

'I was thinking more Texas Chainsaw massacre, but I guess Xena works to.'

'You'd pull of both. Are you ever going to pay that guy for it?'

'Huh?'

'In Mission City, you took it from his shop with five bucks and an IOU,' I reminded, smirking at her sudden look of realisation.

'I did, didn't I?' she said, chewing on her bottom lip, 'I'll send him an anonymous check in the mail.'

'Do you even know the name of the shop?'

Abbie paused, opening her mouth as if she was going to speak, before she stopped, '...no.'

'You're hopeless.'

'And you'd be lost without me.'

'And the world would be doomed without me so I guess we're even,' I smiled.

'Oh lord, the fate of the world resting in the hands of Allison Shorecoat, the human race is so lucky we're not extinct yet,' Abbie dramatized.

'And I blame my trusty advisor Abigail if something goes wrong,' I retorted, before stepping forward and hugging her quickly, 'thank you Abbie, for helping me get through the last few days. I don't think I could have otherwise.'

'I think you probably would have managed it anyway, I was just there to provide comedic relief,' Abbie said, as she returned the hug.

'Not just that Abbie. You stood by me the whole time, you didn't give up, you didn't allow me to give up. You trusted me,' I explained and she just smiled.

'That's what best friends do, you know that. Just, next time you go off on one of your crazy adventures, give me two minutes warning,' she grinned, 'I'll see you again soon Ally. Take care of yourself.'

'You too,' I hugged her tightly for a second longer, then stepped back, 'see you soon Abbie.'

I stood back as Abbie slid into the passenger seat of the car and waved to me as Hamish pulled away from the base, 'see you soon Ally. Take care of yourself for me! Don't die! Don't let Optimus die! And text me at some point!'

I just waved to her as the car disappeared down the road and out of the gates, before turning around and walking slowly towards one of the many doors into the base, hands in my jacket pockets, a smile on my face. Who cares if peace didn't last for long in my life, for tonight at least I could rest easy knowing that the next day I didn't have to do any world saving. But I couldn't plan much further ahead than that. Expect for my next plan to annoy Sideswipe of course.

As I thought that, a loud crash rang through the base, followed by Sideswipe's enraged cry of, 'Ally!'

I grinned and looked over at one of the soldiers who were milling about the place, 'if Sideswipe asks after me, I'm in Barbados.'

Feeling the rush I always got from defying time and space as I landed in a special place a million miles away. I had found this little island a while ago, when I had been experimenting with my teleportation, and it had been so peaceful, so beautiful, I had been coming back here since I had discovered it. Something about the peace, the silence, the isolation helped me to calm myself. This time was no different. As I settled down on a small outcropping of rock just over the ocean, allowing my feet to rest gently in the warm water I could already feel that same calm feeling washing over me. I smiled and closed my eyes. It was a near perfect moment and for the first time since I'd seen the Decepticon symbol flashing on the radar, I could relax. I didn't have to worry about The Fallen, I didn't have to worry about Megatron, I didn't have to worry about Decepticons full stop. The death, doom and destruction of the last few days was behind me, and I could finally breathe. Who cared what tomorrow might bring, no matter what life threw at me next, I could take it.

My name is Allison Shorecoat and I was the first human to join the Autobots. Now we have allies from across the globe, from people as mysterious as Sekhmet to those as fearless as Abbie.
