How have you been?
I am so sorry that i haven´t been updating but honestly I had problems on how to get on...but here I am :)
This chapter can be a bit confusing depending on the narrative...so first there is Tonys view, and than the normal omniscient one...
Thank you on reviewing and reading and have as much fun reading this chap as I had writing it ;).
Oh and If you find grammatical errors...you can keep them if you wnat :P
"Once, more from the top?" I said rather breathless and got on point again. I looked at the mirror, the hip wasn´t turnedout yet, and my arms could be gracefuller streched, and my parter could stand in his poisition, instead of doing this Andrew had his hands on his hips, was looking at me raising an eyebrow.
"Toe? You said last time that it was the last run-through" He grinned "So, we´re done.."
"I did " I said looking at the It was already 4pm. We´re supposed to be out of her half an hour ago.
"Oh I forgot" I said standing on normal ground again and reached down to untie my shoes.
"Good" Andrew grinned go to his bag and came back with a muesli bar, he sat down next to me and offered me the second half of the it. I tried to sit down,as comfortably as possible with the tutu on and bit into it. Cherry-chocolate flavor. Yum. I watched from the corner of my eye, that Andrew was looking at me intensily, as if he tried to read me, but he , we stayed quiet.
"I think your overdoing yourself" Andrew suddenly said "Since the birthday, you´ve been training non-stop, you´re doing good. Dont over do it."
"It´s only been a week"I said "I haven´t trained more than usual"
"That maybe not, but you are more determined. Almost agressively"
"I do? oh" I didn´t realitsed that. He was right that I had paid more attention on staying on top,after the little incindent on my Grandfather's birthday , but that was just to please my family. To show them that I was focused. But if I think about it, Andrew was right about the agressiveness... I dragged him from one training to another with me...if he had the time...he was really busy at the moment with Cecily...
They were sort of dating-ish... not that I didn't like that...I was happy for them...but somehow it was strange to be left out of our little group.
"Sorry If I was agressive" I finally said to Andrew and earned a smile.
He put a hand on my head and patted it.
"No hard feelings, munchkin"
That was it, I snapped "ANDREW!" I said angry and he started laughing. I don´t know why, but he had found a new nickname for me, midget was gone...and was replaced my muchkin...or munch in some cases.
"Cheeky rascal" I muttered and ate the last part of the muesli bar.
"Excuse me?" Cecily was standing on the doorway "Hey I guessed you´ve beeen hiding out here" She smiled and came toward us.
"Oh shoot...I am running late again am I?" Andrew slapped his fore head.
Oh,I guess they had a date...again.
"Sorry Toe, but I bought tickets for a movie...um" he stammered and started packing his bag.
"No biggie, just go" I said smiling as Andrew almost fell over, because his feet were entangled in his bag. How did he managed to do that?
"Is it really okay? Don't you want to come with us ?"
"It´s okay really" i said looking at both Cecily and Andrew "I already have plans, you guys enjoy yourself and tell me if the movie is worth seeing."
"Allright" Cece said and grabbed Andrews' arm "Andy, we have to go now if we don't want to miss it...and you have to shower first...so hurry up"
"Don´t worry Woolfy" I said to Andrew " I´ll clean up the studio"
Andrew could only say a faint thanks -grinned beacause we was amused by his new nickname- and was dragged out.
The two of them were still triying to hide it, but they definatly were having a thing going on ..and I was just the third wheel.
I cleaned up the studio, but the movable bars into the right position, turned off the lights and gave the key back and headed to my room where I exchanged my ballet bag with my swimming bag. Just because we had a day off, didn´t it mean learning was secondary. I went to the pool which belonged to the academy and waited for Liana to show up.
While I fixed my hair into a braid I remembred how I got stuck here in the first plce. It was two days after the birthday,when Liana ( yes she herself) came to me and asked wheater I could spare some time, to teach her swimming. And here we were, well I was, waiting for Liana to show up...and she did.
"Hi Tony" she smiled , her hair put up in that always perfect bun of hers.
"Hey, Let´s go in, the sooner the better"
We changed ( thank god Liana had some decent, simple, swimwear and was not of these girls in our class with stamped on fake flowers on ther bathing suit) and got into the showers.
"Did´you have lessons before?" I asked as we made our way to the pool.
She hesitated " Well, kind of I had some when I was a Kid, but I was terrible at that"
"So,you didn´t had any practice in the last time "I was asking that on purpose, because I knew that Liana and my brother had spend some time that I was surpised or anything, that Gabriel helped someone, who just happened to be his dance partner..but more why Liana did not have the lessons anymore, and asked me insted.
"Hm...your brother instucted me one or twice" Liana said.
Memo to myself: she used the term '' Your brother'' and not his name.
"So Gabe really did that? Why did you two stop?"
She hesitated. Was thinking about what to say
"Well...first he was not so good of a teacher...and secondly...we...are heaving ...a phase of non communication..."
So basically, they had a fight and both of them were to proud, stuck up or whatever to talk to eachother.
"`kay...anyways"I came back to the important stuff "I´ll tell you I´m not that good of an teacher myself...I never done this...will you do as I say?"
"I guess..."
"Fine, then jump into the water...NOW!"
Meanwhile Lily and Dustin we´re hanging out in the common room watching some performance of the company of last year, only half paying attention, couldn´t help herself, but sighted through the whole film.
"Okay" Dustin pressed the pause button on the remote"You´re not really paying attention, what´s buggin you?"
"It´s nothing... "Lily muttered and hesitated.
"But..?"
"Well, it´s kind of silly, it´s about Liana...she´s nice, I really like her...my best friend here...but all this ´´drama´´ with her and Gabe is relay annoying"
"They have been acting kind of weird lately, in pas de deux they hardly speak, they are laking in class too"
"More than that. They don´t talk at all, if Gabriel wants to tell her someting he tells me to tell her...complicated and she won´t talk to him at all...weird and childish"
"Hm do you know why?
"Apparantly they had a fight, but it´s super secret, even Tonia does not really know why...she was rather surprised, but she does not involve in others problems anyways...she´s weird too...and I can´t read her at all...and she is my roommate I should understand her more..."
"Don't worry"Dustin said "Tony, is okay, more than that she was her ways, but in the core she's nice, that ''that weirdness'' as you call it name is is just her facade"
"If you think so.."
"I know"Dustin said "If you´ll need her she will be there for you, sarcastic and cranky , but true to the core"
They stayed quite for a while and Lily thought about what Dustin had said. Tony did not hesitated to jump into the harbour to rescue Liana...
"You know what? Get upp and change into cozy sportswear" Dustin said " I think you need something different to lighten up your mood"
"That was a really bad movie"Cecily said as she balanced on a slim wall, Andrew was helping her by holding on her left arm, if she´d lose balance she would fall at least eight meter.
"It was not that bad. I mean...the end could have been nice...if we didn´t left before" Andrew said
"That was an act of protest" Cecily stopped,turned to Andrew, laying both of her hand on his put his hands gently on her hips. Slowly she shifted her weight towards so that their foreheads meteachother.
"Carefull little rebell, you can fall"Andrew grinned.
"No worry, I have someone that will catch me if I´d fall"
"Sure?" He hieved her off the wall and twirled around.
"Yes" she said, as he stopped, and took a step towards him, she linked her arms behind his neck, pulled him towards her and kissed him. Her head was still a bit dizzy but happyness or whatever swirled in her stommach.
"See" she frinned "I know, that you´re good to me"
He was, he really was, She was happpy that he took the responsability, to take her to her eating-disorder-therapy, that he took time to wait outside the therapy room, just in case that she´d need him, she did. He was the first to know about this. Not even her best friends Macy and Jessie, hell not even her own mother knew about this, she wouldn´t recognize her sickness anyways...she was hardly at home. Ever since her sister...when ut happened, she felt like this...and that was three years ago. Her mother didn´t recognize it, but he , andrew did. He was good to her and she doesn´t want to looke this.
"We should be going now" Andrew grinned and took her hand, Cecily entangled her fingers into his.
"Afraid for curfew?" she asked
"Na" Andrew said " I actually planned to teach the munchkin how to play the guitar"
"Who Tony?"
"Yes, as I said munchkin. ...I´m having a bad consience that we are leaving her out all the time."
Cecily couldn´t help herself, she pouted...though Andrew was sort of right that they left out Tonx but they had a date...and Andrew thought of her.
"You´re pouting Cec´"Andrew grinned, lifted their entanled hand and poked one of his fingers lightly into her cheek "Sorry about that...it was not really nice of me "
"It´s okay...she is our friend"
"but you´re too" Andrew said and sqeezed her hand tightly. He wanted to say ''girlfriend'' but...all of this happend so quickly, he was unsure, he like Cecily, he really did like her very much, but somehow it was too early to caall ''it'' love. Love grows out of something, his brother had told him once, it takes time, and you should take time too.
"It's actually quite nice to have luch with eachother once in a while" Daniel said as the waitress left with their orders. Gabriel, of all his two siblings, acutally called him and asked if they'd luch together. It was most certain that little Gabby had something on his mind, we wouldn´t had done it otherwise. Daniel´s first guess as that it had to do something about Tony. Both of them knew that their sister had befriended some local boys in the past years, even though she does not not that they know. Tony in fact was a topic the two of themoften discussed. Gabriel was always the one complaining about his twin, about how she lacked off disipline made his life so much worse and Daniel was the one to tell him to shut up and be a man. Daniel did not take favorites,never, that included even his siblings. He loved them both equally much...and even if the two of them did not get along anymore he tried to stick them together.
Infact...something, and Daniel was sad that he doesnt know what, happened after their mother died. It was a hard time for him too, not kidding. But for the twins relationship with eachother it was worse...the two of them once really close...started to drift apart...and they were just five at that time.
"So tell me" Daniel ripped off a piece of bread from the basket that layed inbetween them "Whats´s the deal?"
"Oh nothing...how about you...any progress with...um Gianna?"
"Who?"
"your dancepartner..."
"Oh Gemma! Um...she´s all right...I guess why do you ask?"
"Well" Gabriel uncomfortably scratched his chin "aren´t you guys...well"
"Me and Gem´?" Daniel laughed " No, we are not. She is my dance partner thats all..."
"Oh" Gabriel said
"Come on Gabby, spit it out..."
Daniel look at his brother. He was scratching his chin again, he always did it when he wa unsure...or nervous and he never really was nervous. Infact of the three siblings he was the most confident one...not that Tony was not confident...but while his sister was more extroverted confident Gabe was more confident on the inside...
"I...well there is...this friend of mine"Gabriel started "and he has this dance partner"
Oh, Daniel got it. It was about Gabriel and Liana.
"See this friend of mine ..."Gabriel started again
"Let´s call him Muffin" Daniel suggested, he knew how to tease and confuseGabriel
"Okay soo...Muffin has this Dance Partner"
"Pancake"
"Allright allright let me get to the point... well Muffin and Pancake...were actually starting to understand eachother pretty well...then Pancake one day snapped at Muffin and did not apologize and since then Pancake did not try to talk to Muffin at all...and Muffin now is confused on what to do
"Hm" Daniel took another bread "Do you know why Pancake snapped at Muffin?"
"Apparently...Pancake was not happy on the reactionof Muffin towards a certain incident that happend to Muffin´s sister"
"Cupcake"
"Who?"
"Muffin´s sister...Cupcake"
"uh...right...um so...where was I again"
"Gosh...you dont even listen to your selve Gabby" Daniel grinned " Muffins dance partner Pancake, shouted at Muffin because something happened with Muffin´s sister Cupcake, and Pancake did not like how Muffin reacted towards that. So Muffin and Pancake are not talking to eachother anymore...Pancake, because she´s still angry at Muffin..and Muffin well because...he mainly does not know what to do...because for the little muffin it is the first time that a girl, other than his sister , has talked to him that way. And little Muffin is too proud to say '' Hey Liana I messed up, I am sorry'' "
"What?...How do you think thats about me and Liana?"
"I know you little brother...and In fact I know from someone that the two of you had a little fight."
"Antonia can´t keep her mouth shut..."Gabriel muttered "She always tells you everything...does she"
"No, she does not...the little Clover was not the source...and you should not talk likethis about your sister"
"You always defend her."
"As much as I defend you...Gabriel...I don´t take favorites...you know that"
"But your relationship is so close with her...more than with me..."
"Well she is my little sister...and little sisters and big brother always are close...I have to protect her...but this is not the point...you were here to talk about your problem with Liana"
The two were interruped by the waitress who brought them their pizza. She earned a very warm smile and thanks from the older borhter while Gabriel was scoulding.
"Gabriel" Daniel said as he cut into his Pizza " I guess this whole thing with you and Liana started on Gramps birthday...after Toe fell into the pool? ( He earned a nod) Well...for once...I wont judge you on how you reacted...but I was still surprised on what you did...or what you didnt do. The whole days, as I remember you kept reminding Tony that she should not mess up this time...give her a break...she does not need a third pain in the neck to watch over her...Gramps and das are worse enough..."
"But that is not the point...its about Liana..."Gabril said.
"Well as much as I know...Liana and Tony have an understanding...not the best of friends...but hey our sister never really was a person that befirended everyone anways...but they did have an understanding...and Liana...you know her better than I do...is a family person...I talked to her that one day when we lunched at our place and it seemed that she and her siblings...her whole family are pretty close...and stand for eachother...well thats what families do...and she was slightly angry...I think more dissappointed in you...because...for some reason...you and Tony aren´t this close as you guys...I recall twins should be."
"but that does not give her the point to not talk to me"
"Gabby...she was dissappointed in you...Dissappointment in your dance partner means lack of trust...means awkwardness and she is not the kind of person that is super confident on the outside...she came here to Australia...from America...she does not know a lot of people...and you´re one of the few who she trust the most...and let me be honest...you are the kind of person too stubborn to recognize their mistakes...and apologize...why dont you talk to her?"
Gabriel staid quite, as did Daniel. They both ate their lunch and Gabriel had time to think.
"How should I do it...talk to her again"
"Just do it...you should know how, you´ve been talking since you were once and a half year old...just be honest about your feelings...that is important...and don´t try to make it up with flowers and stuff...your friends...and not dating...not yet anyways"
"What? Why do you?" Gabriel choked on cheese
"Well I never met you, talking about your dance partner this way...she is important to you...that´s why you cam eto me and discussed this...whenever you had a diffrent dance partner...other than Tony...you did not give a flying fart about them...but Liana is diffrent...and the fact that you blushing right now is underlining my statement"
Daniel grabbed his glass of coke and hid a grin with it, while he watched his brother scratching his chin again and again and again.
"Dusty...you´re sure about that?" Lily said akwardly as she adjusted her sneakers once more. She looked around the Sammy Memorial studio, Dustin had dragged her into a hip hop course...and she was unsure if she was fit for this.
"Come on loosen up...it´ll be fun right Aaron"
"Yes, the instructor is really good" Aaron who happened to be here aswell was stretching his arms. "i actually find it awsome that you still came Dustin, I thought you didn´t want to come"
"Well" Dustin said "We got bored watching the stupid video...and since you were here we had an extra reason to come"
"Hey guys" a voice, a bit mature...and for Lily unnown suddenly rose in the studio. Her eyes lay on a tall young man, whith black hair and dark eyes that came into the that Aarons bigger brother...no...they just looked kind of simular... but the guy had more aisan fetures than Aaron did...and he had a little mole.
"Let me be clear" he said "I want you to dance your heart out, put it into your performance on the stage...okay...ready?"
The course got into position.
"Allright...oh yeah...and to you newbees over there" He now looked at Lily and Dustin.
"My name is Christian Reed"
