(A/N I'm so sorry. I know I promised to have this chapter done days ago, but I had homework and I've been lazy, so sorry.)

Chapter 25: Too Deep

Nico

"I should get going," I said.

"It'll be over before you know it." Hazel said.

"I know." I nodded unsure if that was good or bad.

"Good luck."

"Be safe, Hazel."

"I will. You do too, okay?"

"Of course."

Harry

I was explaining for the billionth time why I couldn't hold a meeting tonight.

"I'll let you know when the next one is, but I can't do it tonight, I've got to go to- er- Remedial Potions…"

"You take Remedial Potions?" Zacharias Smith asked. "Good Lord, you must be terrible, Snape doesn't usually give extra lessons, does he?"

"No, he doesn't." Nico Di Angelo stepped out of the shadows once again. "You must be a special case, Potter."

Smith walked away, but Nico continued to look at me.

"What are you up to?" He asked.

"Remedial Potions."

"Fine." He stomped away.

"Shall I jinx him?" Ron asked.

"Don't bother."

Nico

Remedial Potions? No way in Hades would Snape give Harry extra potions lessons.

I would just have to follow him.

"Nico, good Christmas?" Trevor asked.

"Yeah, I guess."

Trevor shrugged. "Did you go back to America?"

"Yeah," I nodded. "Spent the break with my sister in San Francisco."

"Cool."

"I guess."

"Someone's guessing a lot."

"I guess."

"Nico!"

"Sorry."

"Did you hear about the Hogsmede visit in February?"

"No."

"Oh, well now you have." Trevor said. "Are you going?"

"I don't know."

"Are you alright Nico?"

"Just peachy."

"Did you just say peachy?"

"Did I?"

"Yes."

"Sorry, I'm tired." I glanced at the time. "I'll be back soon."

I left the common room and headed down to Snape's office. Ten minutes later, Harry walked into the room.

So, he really was taking potions. Why else would he go and see Snape?

I decided to go back to the common room. After all, he probably was just really bad at potions.

"Nico, are you sure you're alright?" Trevor asked again as I walked back into the dorm.

"Alright is relative."

"What does that mean?"

"I'm fine, Trevor."

"I'm going to bed. Good night, Nico."

"Night."

Rex sighed. "I like that idea. Good night."

I checked to make sure the other boys were asleep.

I pulled Bianca's picture out of my pocket. She smiled up at me.

"Goodnight Bianca."

Harry

As soon as I got back to the common room, Hermione ran to me.

"I just realized something we missed about Nico."

"What?" I was tired after my lesson with Snape.

"That picture that we saw in the library, it wasn't moving. I brushed that off at first, I mean lots of wizards have muggle families, but I'm almost positive he's a half blood and if she was his sister, she would move in a picture."

"Hermione, you're a genius!"

"Unless he's muggleborn, he's lying about something."

Nico

"Never," Percy said. "The other side, Nico! We'll see you there. Understand?"

So this dream was about Percy.

"But-"

"Lead them there!" Percy shouted. "Promise me!"

"I-I will."

The scene changed.

"Will you hide among the dead, as you always do?" Cupid taunted. He paused. "Interesting! Do you have the strength, after all?"

"I left Camp Half-Blood because of love. Annabeth…she-"

"Still hiding. You do not have the strength."

"Nico," Jason said. "It's okay. I get it."

"No, you don't. There's no way you can understand."

"And so you run away again. From your friends, from yourself."

"I don't have friends! I left Camp Half-Blood because I don't belong! I'll never belong!"

This dream wasn't about Percy, I decided. It was about me.

The dream kept changing.

"Nobody's going to judge you." Jason said.

"Really? That would be a first. I'm the son of Hades, Jason. I might as well be covered in blood or sewage, the way people treat me. I don't belong anywhere. I'm not even from this century. But that's not enough to set me apart."

"Then what is Nico Di Angelo?" This wasn't a memory or a voice I recognized. "What makes you so… special?"

"Nothing," I muttered and snapped awake.

Harry

The dream filled my head as soon as it hit the pillow.

"Nico," A boy said. "It's okay. I get it."

"No, you don't. There's no way you can understand." Nico looked sadder and angrier than I had ever seen.

"And so you run away again. From your friends, from yourself." An invisible voice whispered.

"I don't have friends! I left Camp Half-Blood because I don't belong! I'll never belong!"

"I'll never belong."

I snapped awake.

No matter how good of a clue that was, I was afraid I'd gone too deep into Nico's secrets. This one, I would keep to myself.

(A/N Sorry for switching POVs so much. Review.)
