(Abel's Compound – 6:30 PM)

Abel looked around at the 19 newborns that were in his command. Nikki and Nichole were in front of the others as his second and third in command. He knew that some of the newborns didn't like to take orders from him but they did as he said anyway because they were doing this for their mistress.

"As soon as we leave the compound," Abel started as he paced in front of the group. "I our scents covered."

"Of course, Abel." Nikki purred as she glanced towards Nichole only to see she was glaring at her.

Abel nodded as he looked around at the newborns. "I know you do not wish to follow my commands," He saw a few males smirk. "But this isn't about me taking over the army but getting revenge on those who killed our mistress."

"We all understand that." Nichole said with a nod of her head. "That's why we're following you."

"Good." Abel nodded as he stopped pacing and looked at the group of newborns. "Now, if we stick together, we'll be able to take at least a few of the wolves and vampires out." His eyes went to those who could shock the enemy. "I want at least one Shocker with someone to cover scents."

"Yes, sir." A skinny male nodded with a smirk as he moved over next to another male. "We'll make sure that some of them die for what they did to our mistress."

Abel smirked as his plans were falling into place. "Perfect." He looked around. "Since the night has almost fallen, I believe it's time to head out."

"Yes, Abel." The group answered as they darted out of the compound and towards the house in Arizona where the people that killed their mistress was located.

Soon they would have their revenge against those who harmed their sire and Goddess.

(Forks, Washington – Quileute Reservation – 7:00 PM)

Demetri stood on the porch of the Clearwaters as he gazed at the sun that filtered through the trees. Where the sun touched his skin, he sparkled like a diamond. Only when did he hear a gasp did he turn to see that Emily was standing there in the door way with a shocked look on her face as her hands covered her mouth. Demetri blinked a few times as he realized that most of the Quileutes hadn't seen them in the sun a lot.

"You're beautiful." Emily whispered as she moved forward. "Do all vampires sparkle like that?" She couldn't help but stare at him.

"Yah but some of us don't sparkle just right." He pulled his sleeve up where a couple of bite marks were located. "Only another vampire can give us scars and they shimmer different then the rest of our skin."

Emily looked closer to see teeth marks. "I still believe you are beautiful." She looked into his eyes. "To shimmer like a diamond would be surreal."

"Its what draws our prey to us." Heidi said as she appeared by her mates side. "As you can tell we have supernatural beauty as well as other enhancements to draw humans to us."

"I guess you would need something to draw in prey." Emily thought for a moment. "Kinda like an Angler Fish. They have a horn that the tip grows and it ushers their prey into their mouth."

Demetri and Heidi blinked a few times. "I suppose you could compare us to that fish but we are much more advanced." Heidi found it odd that a human would think of something such as that. "Have you heard from your mate?"

Emily nodded as she bit her lip. "He's staying in Arizona for the time being." She shivered slightly. "Apparently Maria had another group stationed at her compound. Peter Whitlock said they would attack soon then he could come back home with the others."

"Aro and the other kings will keep your family safe." Demetri promised her. "They have lived centuries only because they are cautious and attentive to what needs to be done." He knew she was upset because of the scent of fear that clung to her.

"Are you sure that they can handle what is going to attack?" Emily hated to think Sam was in danger. "I know he can take care of himself but I cant help but worry for him and the other boys. They are just that, young boys who weren't given a choice in protecting the tribe." She shook her head. "Some of their mothers don't even know about their son's."

"That is sad." Heidi whispered as she snuggled into Demetri's side. "To have to keep a secret from their own parents." She shook her head. "Isn't there anything you can do? I mean what if one of the boys phase in front of their mom or dad, or even both parents?"

Emily frowned because nothing like that has happened, yet. "Nothing like that has happened so we don't know what we'd do." She shook her head and looked towards the house. "You'll have to speak to Harry or Old Quil about that. Although I think Billy would be your best bet, however, he's in Arizona with the others."

"Do you think that any of the vampires from the second group will be heading up this way?" Demetri asked hoping they wouldn't.

"I don't know." Emily said with a frown. "Sam didn't say anything about that." She looked to Demetri then to Heidi. "You may want to call to make sure. If any vampires do get near the Reservation we're going to need to protect it."

Heidi snorted as she looked to Emily. "And who's this 'we'?" She asked as Demetri dialed the number to the house. "You're going to be sticking close to the Queens along with Harry, Old Quil and a few of the younger wolves."

"But..." Emily started but Heidi shook her head.

"If you're there, you'll only get in the way." Heidi knew that Emily wanted to help but they may have to deal with newborn vampires, or those only a year or two old. "These vampires that could come, arn't like us or even the kings. They fight for the land to feed on thus the reason humans are in extreme danger in the south whether they know it or not."

"She's right, Emily." Harry said walking out the front door. "You as well as the rest of us need to stay away from the fighting because we will only be in the way." He knew it was hard on her. "Sam would kill us, anyways, if something were to happen to you. Not to mention Claire will be there with Sue. You'll be needed to keep Claire calm."

Emily sighed because she knew that Claire was worried for Embry even if she didn't understand why. "Alright." She nodded in agreement. "But just to let you know, I'm only doing this because Claire will need me." She headed into the house then up to Leah's room.

She had been staying there but only because she received a phone call from Leah a few hours ago. Emily was shocked to know that Leah was sorry for what happened and finally knew just how hard it was for her and Sam in the beginning of their relationship. She shivered as she remembered that the only way for Sam to heal her is if he changed into his wolf form and his wolf licked the wound it inflicted. Her mind told her that Sam would never hurt her but in the back of her mind, she still feared his wolf every time he phased in front of her because all she could remember was his anger then his claws digging into her skin.

Shaking her head, Emily grabbed a few clothes and headed to the shower. She felt dirty but knew it was only because of the memories of that fateful night. Soon, the scars of that night would be a faded memory. Emily just hoped she could hold still without breaking down long enough to Sam to lick her wounds.

(Bella's Pov – Arizona House, Bedroom – 7:10 PM)

I had been awake for about thirty minutes but didn't want to get up out of bed and Jasper's arms thus I just layed in his embrace. Our skin to skin contact was something I never thought I would care for but I couldn't get enough of him. Even now he was hard as he pressed into the cress of my ass but it was then my bladder told me I needed to use the little girls room, did I start to squirm. While I wanted to use that glorious shaft my mate had, it would have to wait til later. I had to pee!

"Jay, let me up." I told him as I looked over my shoulder. "I have to pee."

"Alright, alright." Jasper whispered huskily as he released me, rather reluctantly.

I quickly darted to the joined bathroom and barely made it before I started to relieve my bladder. I couldn't believe that I was still as strong, if not stronger, then a vampire but still had the functions of a human. Some times I wondered if I got the wrong end of the deal but then I would feel the babies Jasper and I created, only to feel that it was worth it.

"Ya ok, darlin'?" Jasper called from the bedroom.

I sighed as I wiped and flushed. "Yup," I said washing my hands then headed back into the bedroom rubbing my swollen stomach. "I feel a lot better."

"Ya look happy." Jasper murmured as he grew closer and layed his head against my stomach. "Ya feel happy, too." His red eyes gazed up at me with awe and wonder. "I'm so lucky ta have ya Darlin."

I blushed as I cupped his unoccupied cheek. "I'm the lucky one." I told him only to hear someone clear their throat. "What," I snapped because Peter's scent floated into the room through the door. "...do you want, Peter?"

"Just got a call from up north." His voice came through the solid door. "Ya might want ta get dressed an' come down." I heard him snicker. "Pun intended." Just as I growled, I heard a whoosh of air as he retreated.

"I'm going to kill him." I snarled as I narrowed my eyes.

Jasper chuckled as he appeared behind me with his clothes on. "Don't cha worry darlin'," He trailed his lips down my neck. "We'll have some alone time later."

"We better." I whimpered as he pulled away and held out my clothes in one hand. "Fine, fine. I get it. Get dressed." I snorted as I quickly dressed only to skip my underwear and received a deep aroused growl from my mate. "Well I cant wear them since they don't fit." I pouted earning a kiss.

"That's just fine, Darlin." He whispered as he quickly zipped up my pants for me and pulled me to him. "Just fine..." Jasper trailed off as his hands went to my waist. "I love ya."

I smiled up at him. "I love you, too." I rose up on my tiptoes, which shocked me to me a little difficult, and pressed a kiss to his lips before easing myself back down. "Now, would you carry me? I'm a little tired from just standing here. These kids are wearing me down."

"No problem, my Belle." Jasper whispered as he kissed me quickly then scooped me up and headed out the door, after I opened it.

We were down stairs in an instant only to see that Felix was standing there while Carmen, Esme, Kate and Irina were missing. Seeing my frown, Felix pointed upstairs as Charlie filled me in.

"It seems our mates wanted to make Renee presentable to her mate." Charlie smirked as I watched a twinkle in his eye grow. "They're bathing her as best they can as well as changing her clothes as well as other things." He waved his hand.

"And they kicked you out?" I asked looking to Felix.

"Yes." Felix said through gritted teeth. "I wish they would hurry." I knew he was anxious to get back to Renee.

I frowned as I thought of something. "Do you think Renee will remember Charlie and Myself?" I didn't like the fact my mother may forget about me. Even if she wasn't the best mom, she was still mine. I thought as I saw Charlie look away from me.

"She may since I've been talking about you and your father but..." Felix trailed off.

"She may not remember anything." Aro injected into the conversation. "I'm an truly sorry, my dear, but it has happened in the past." He did sound sincere that Renee may not remember me. "Although with Felix speaking of you, she may just not the relationship between the three of you. Do you understand?" His eyes were full of concern.

I sighed as I felt Jasper set me down on my own two feet. "Yes." I nodded because I did understand. "Just worried." I gave them a sad smile which I knew was understandable.

"Are you sure your up for this, Bells?" Charlie asked causing me to roll my eyes and Jasper growl. "Oh hush, Jasper. She's my daughter and I know she's a little tired still." His eyes narrowed which only caused my mate to growl deeper before he stopped.

"She's fine, Chief." Peter said as he nodded for Jasper to take me over to the love seat. "Now, the reason I asked fer all of ya ta be here is because I have a feelin' a few may die." His eyes were looking around the room. "I'm also placin' a few wolves and vampires in here ta keep Renee, Felix, Bella and Diana safe. We don't know who their after but since it was Bella that killed Maria, she'll need ta be watched."

"I can take care of myself." Felix hissed at Peter.

I snorted as I looked at the vampire who was mated to my mother. "And what if there were two vampires that came after her?" I asked causing him to stiffen. "That's what I thought. While you would be busy with the first vampire the other can take Renee and turn her against us."

"Bella's right." Charlie said as he nodded, along with the Kings, both sets. "I'll be out in the fight but I think Bella and Jasper should stay close to the room where Felix and Renee are, and will be, located."

"Then we have everything figured out for when the time comes." Jasper said as his arms tightened around my waist.

"My mate and I will stay by Bella." Alec said as Bree had curled up next to her mate.

Aro nodded as he looked at Jane. "Who do you wish to stay by?" He saw the young vampire glance towards Bella. "Do you also wish to stay close to Isabella?"

"Yes, Master Aro." Jane nodded and Adam frowned.

"I think we should stay outside." He told his mate as he looked into Jane's eyes. "We'll be able to protect them better if we get the vampires before they enter the house." I knew Adam was trying to play mediator. "We'll stay close to the house but we need to be outside in case they need your ability, my mate."

Jane growled but nodded anyway, knowing Adam was right. "Alright."

"Some of the wolves will also stay in the house." Sam said as he stood by an open window. "They also found where the two vampires were." He nodded towards the left side of the trees behind the house. "The two seemed to be hidden from our noses as well as other senses."

"Hm." Aro thought as he closed his eyes for a moment.

"Do you think Maria had more vampires that could hide scents?" Stefan asked causing Aro, Marcus and Caius to stiffen.

Vladimir frowned but nodded as well. "Most gifts that vampires have are due to their sire as well as their ability during their human life yet surely Maria found a way to create a vampire with a gift she wanted."

"That is very worrisome." Stefan agreed as he turned his blackened eyes towards Vladimir and the Volturi kings. "Thankfully we have taken her out of the equation."

"Yes thankfully." Vladimir said as he closed his eyes for a moment. "It is to bad that none of our fledglings seemed to have survived long."

"That is the way of it." Caius finally spoke up as he waved his hand. "Now, back to what is going to happen..." He turned his eyes towards Sam. "You received a phone call from Forks?"

Sam nodded as I saw him hold back from phasing. "Yes," He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe then opened them. "Demetri wanted to know if there would be any vampires heading up north? He was a little worried if any strays would go there since the Queens and wolves mates are there."

"That is a good question." Marcus seemed a little tense as his darkened eyes moved to Peter. "Is anything going to happen in Forks, Captain Whitlock?"

"I don't believe so." Peter swallowed because he knew that Marcus didn't wish to lose another mate during another battle.

"For your sake I hope you are right." Marcus strolled out of the room as Caius followed.

Aro sighed as he watched his brothers go. "Do forgive Marcus." He told Sam in a sincere tone. "He doesn't wish to lose another mate."

"I believe I understand." Peter nodded as he pulled Charlotte to his side. "I almost lost my Charlotte." His eyes met jasper's over my shoulder. "If it wasn't fer the Major, we'd both be dead."

"Then we are all thrilled you are here." Aro smiled as he bowed his head. "I shall go see to my brothers. I also believe that Diana would be of use." His eyes locked with Marcus daughter.

"Of course uncle." Diana nodded as she stood, Paul and Leah standing behind her. "Where is mother?"

Aro paused for a moment to listen, then smiled. "Ah, she is outside with your father at the moment." He turned his red eyes towards her. "Alistair is rather impressed with their relationship and you as well."

"There's nothing to it." Diana shrugged as she looped her arms through Paul's and Leah's arms. "We fit together perfectly." She nuzzled Paul under the chin before she kissed Leah on the lips quickly, only to blush.

I then noticed that night had fallen. "I think everyone should stay close to the house." I felt a cold tremor run through me. "I don't know why but I think they'll be here soon."

"I feel what yer feelin' Darlin." Jasper murmured in my ear as his arms tightened. "But ya don't need ta worry. I'll protect ya." He placed a kiss on my temple as I suddenly felt something pushing against my mental shield I had over everyone in the house.

"Do anyone of you feel anything?" I asked looking around, seeing a few shake their heads.

Aro frowned as he walked over holding his hand out for me to take and allow him to see for himself what I saw or felt. "What do you feel dear?" His head was tilted to the side. "I may be able to help you figure it out."

"It felt like someone was..." My eyes grew wide as I suddenly realized what I felt. "Shit, they're here!" I yelled as I pulled my hand out of Aro's. "It felt like someone was trying to read my mind!"

"SHIT!" Jasper snarled as a howl ripped through the air, along with a few others. "Get Ready!" He called out as Felix rushed up stairs.

Jasper scooped me up and followed behind Felix as we hurried to the third floor. I knew now that the battle was going to happen and some of my friends may not make it. As soon as Jasper and I landed on the third floor, the second floor filled with black mist like smoke. I could only hope that Alec and Bree were alright.

(Arizona House – 7:40 PM)

Charlie was the first outside as he pulled two metal balls out of his pocket and held his hand out. In the blink of an eye, the metal balls flattened and started to maneuver around the battlefield cutting the vampires in half that were attacking. Jane stood close to the side of the house with her hand in Adam's as she took a group of newborns down that tried to get into the house. Peter, Alistair, Garrett, Charlotte, Sam, Billy, Jake and a few others were fighting as best they could. It was only when a howl echoed in the air that the fighting froze for a moment.

Being the only one available, Charlotte turned to see a female vampire had one of the wolves pinned to the ground. She noticed that a blue electric energy was flowing from the vampire and into the wolf. Each time someone grew closer to the woman, they also went down. Charlotte was about to intervene when Garrett appeared at her side. A sick grin spread across his face.

"Allow me." He nodded to her as he zipped over and grabbed the female, shivered, then threw her away from the wolf. "Head into the house." Garrett told the wolf as he went after the female.

The wolf growled at him but hurried into the house as he went after the female with the power like his mates. She snarled at him and grabbed his arms, pushing as much power into him as she could. Garrett went to a knee for a moment then smirked as his eyes rose to the females.

"My mates powers are a lot stronger then yours, bitch." He sneered causing the female to stare at him with wide eyes. "Now, it's time for you to pay for harming Leah."

Garrett wasted no time kicking the vampire in the torso pulling her arms off as she flew backwards. Paul and Diana were there in a flash finishing the job. The body was quickly piled and burned. It seemed that the army wasn't doing rather good until a command was given. Then it seemed they went from playing around to destroying those they got in their hands. Garrett and the other vampires had to keep protecting the wolves because it they were destroyed, they couldn't be put back together.

Paul and Diana were fighting side by side until a vampire that could leech someone's strength came up from behind Diana and grabbed her. She gasped which caught Paul's attention. He howled signaling that Diana was in trouble. Leah came barreling out of the house and lunged at the vampire that held her mate. She had his head in her mouth in an instant and twisted. As soon as the head was gone, his arms opened yet his power kept drawing. Leah ignored the dizziness as she ripped the vampire apart and threw his entire body, including his head, into the fire that Garrett started. She collapsed by the fire yet one of the newborns saw an opportunity and ran over grabbed her around the waist and squeezed her, cracking her ribs, before he threw her into the fire. Paul saw this and rushed over and headed butted the vampire into the same fire that took his mate.

"NO! LEAH!" Diana screamed as she collapsed in the middle of the battle field, her heart breaking as her mate burned. "YOU BASTARDS!" She screamed as a ripple went through the air.

Every vampire froze as Diana stood, her motions were fluid as she suddenly started to dart between those that were against them and ripped them apart as they stood frozen in the spot they were. If they had been attacking someone, they were ripped away from the person and tossed into the fire, minus the legs. She wanted them all to pay. Paul was finally able to shake the odd feeling and help his mate as he found a single vampire trying to pretend he couldn't move. Every so often he would twitch which gave him away. Paul growled and as soon as he did, the vampire hissed at him but Diana was already there ripping his head off. Paul helped her out as he ripped the arms and legs off as she ripped the torso in thirds.

By the time Diana and Paul were done, all the newborns were destroyed. She finally collapsed into Paul's arms. He had quickly put some jean shorts on, that way he would be halfway descent. When Diana collapsed, everyone that was frozen seemed to unfreeze from this spots. Aro blinked a few times and moved his arms but Marcus and Chelsea rushed to their daughter's side. Paul growled low in his throat but they knew it was meant to calm Diana, not as a warning. It was only a few minutes later that Jasper, Bella, Alec and Bree came rushing out of the house with Irina, Esme and Carmen. They gasped at the sight of Diana crying uncontrollable.

"Oh, Diana..." Bella whispered as she felt a pull to move.

Jasper growled but didn't stop his mate as he realized that no enemies were left but the smell of burnt hair and blood was in the air which could only mean that Leah was no longer amongst them. It was then his attention was drawn to Bella. His pull was urging him to move forward. Bella now stood beside Paul and Diana. Both looked up at her with sorrow filled eyes. Her own eyes were pouring bloody tears as she knelt next to the two that just lost their mate. Jasper was about a foot away when Bella, Paul and Diana were suddenly glowing a bright white light. It was then that Marcus and Chelsea started to glow as well as the other two kings, Sam, Billy and the other wolves. It only took a few minutes before the light faded leaving Paul and Diana sleeping. Marcus and Chelsea were looking at Bella in wonder and awe.

"What just happened?" Sam asked as he stood between Jake and Billy.

Jasper smirked as he watched his mate cup Diana and Paul's cheek then stand. "I healed their souls." Bella looked to Sam. "I also healed your since you had a connection to Leah. Her death hurt a lot of people. I wouldn't doubt that you will receive a call from Harry or Demetri."

"Why?" Jake asked frowning.

Bella smiled sadly. "I healed them, too." She turned to Jasper. "Paul and Diana need to rest. Once everyone is ready, we'll be able to go back home." She yawned big as she looked to Jasper. "Maybe in the morning."

Jasper nodded as he picked Bella up bridal style and headed up to the second floor. Their bedroom was dark as he layed Bella on the bed. Even before her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light. Everyone else went on either cleaning up the mess or making sure the fire burned itself out by morning.

No one spoke as they grieved in their own way.

The only one who couldn't seem to come to terms, even with Bella's help was Sam. He felt as though he was completely lost. He still loved Leah even though there was no way for them to be together. Sam knew that this would only lessen with time. It was then that his cell rang. Opening it up, he saw that it was Emily's number. His heart skipped a beat as he thought of his imprintee. He didn't know if he could survive but with Emily's help, he knew everything would be alright. Sam quickly moved away to answer his phone. He didn't want anyone to listen in.

"Hello? Emily?" Sam said as he placed the phone to his ear, after he pressed the answer button.

"No," There was a pause. "It's Sue. Something strange just happened."

Sam sighed because that would mean that Emily and Harry had passed out. "Let me guess, Harry and Emily were engulfed in a white light them after it faded, they were sleeping."

"Yes, that's what happened." Sam noticed Sue was worried. "Demetri said that there was nothing to worry about but I cant help but worry since Harry had that heart attack."

Sam could understand Sue's worry. "Well Demetri was right Sue." He cringed because he knew he would have to break the news to her. "Something did happen and Bella needed to use her gift of Soul Healing to heal...two fighters."

"Sam, what aren't you telling me?" Sue's voice was on the verge of hysterics.

"I'll explain everything when I get home." He didn't want to tell her over the phone. "Put Demetri on please."

"Sam..." Sue started to say something but decided against it. "Fine, here he is."

There was a shuffling sound. "This is Demetri. What's going on Sam?"

"Leah was killed." Sam said through clenched teeth. "But you cant tell Harry or Sue or anyone just yet. Allow us to get home first. We should be there rather soon." His eyes went to the others as they readied the bus.

"Alright." Demetri whispered. "I am sorry for what happened."

Sam's heart clenched. "Thank you."

He then closed the phone and slide it into his pocket. With a heavy heart, Sam turned and headed over to see if there was anything he could do. He wanted to get home to his mate as soon as possible.
