Hey everyone, with a sad and heavy heart, I have to make this announcement. This is officially the final chapter of EBS. I've tried my best to finish this story and let it branch off to Frozen Fever. I hope you enjoy it. It's been exactly four years since I uploaded the very first chapter and yes, I did wait until its anniversary to post this last chapter. (I'm also sorry to say I almost forgot. So as a huge thanks to my sister for letting me put a reminder on her phone, go check out [I can't remember and she wont tell me so I'll fill this in when I find it].) Anyway, enough of my rambling. Enjoy this story and as always don't forget to Follow, Favourite and Review.
Anna:
What's all the big commotion
That's spreading through the kingdom?
From men to girl to boy
There is no hesitating
Today we're celebrating
Elsa's recovery
Today when beloved queen
Comes back into her reign
We're gonna have a spree
The time is nearer now
I think I hear her now
Elsa's perfect recovery
Arendelle
Out from our house we go
To the castle we know
There's never been, not ever before
A health celebration forever more
Out from our house we go
To the castle we know
Forever to be together as one
To celebrate under the sun
Elsa
Thank you everyone for coming
To celebrate my new found health
My hope is that I'll always
Be able to rule with you
Arendelle
Out from our house we go
To the castle we know
Together we come forever to be
Under one sun, the kingdom with glee
The kingdom clapped and cheered as Elsa cut her belated birthday cake. "Let the celebration begin!" She announced and the crowd rejoiced, starting the celebration. The kids started to skate around the courtyard as the adults chatted amongst themselves.
Anna threw her arms around Elsa, causing Kristoff to mutter a "careful." Anna just smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, I'm just so glad you're back." Elsa smiled back at her as her little snow monsters ran up to her. "Us too!" Olaf cheered as he led the pack and they covered Elsa and Anna from head to toe in live snow.
Elsa's muffed laugh could be heard throughout the courtyard causing all of them to chuckle and the children rush up to them, each trying to take a snowgie to play with. The snowgies held on tight, needing Elsa to pry each one off her individually, taking forever until she remembered the magic word. As soon as Elsa uttered the magic word, the snowgies got off her and started to play around with the others, causing everyone to stare in wonder as Anna wondered what the word was.

Next Summer...
"So lonely." With a swoosh of her hand the ice figurine changed shape again. "Stiff." She changed it again, trying to keep her focus. "Can't do that!" Elsa gasped as the worst figurine possible took form. "C'mon Elsa. This is for Anna. You can do this." She whispered to herself as she manipulated the ice into yet another figurine.
"Relax! It looks great." Kristoff encouraged her as he painted a banner. "And you know not to overwork yourself." Kristoff reminded her.
"I'm fine Kristoff, and I just want it to be perfect." She said, trying to ignore the itch in her nose.
"Speaking of perfect, check this out." Kristoff said, displaying his masterpiece, causing Elsa to chuckle uncertainly.
"Kristoff, are you sure I can leave you in charge here?" Elsa asked, wiping paint off his cheek as he tried to assure her. "Because I don't want anything to happen to this courtyard." She turned around, pretending to look around once more while holding off the sneeze."What could happen? It's all set" Kristoff asked her, his voice loud enough to overpower Elsa's sneeze.
"Olaf, what are you doing?" Elsa gasped in shock as her eyes landed on the snowman and the cake, who denied everything. "Olaf..." Elsa chastised, only for him to give the most reasonable reason. "But it's an ice cream cake!" Elsa softened his voice. "And it's for Anna." Olaf's smile turned upside down. "And it's for Anna." He echoed, right before the bell chimes.
"Oh, it's time!" Elsa gasped as her face lit up, causing Olaf to wonder, "It's time! For what?" Ignoring his question, she turned to Kristoff. "Okay, you sure you got this?"
"I'm sure." He answered, exasperated that she keeps asking him. "Don't let anyone in before we're ready." She warned him. "I won't." His voice now monotone. "And don't touch anything." Kristoff nodded talking to Olaf. "And keep an eye on that cake!" She gave a final warning before walking further away until their voices were no longer in hearing range and sneezed.
The sneezing continued for a while, creating a need for Elsa to catch her breath once the fit had stopped. Elsa waited a while, making sure she could breathe properly before going to wake her not so baby sister up.
Elsa could hear the snores of her sister from a mile away and couldn't stop herself from chuckling as she entered her room. "Psst. Anna?" Elsa tried waking the sleeping girl up. "Yeah?" Anna grogily replied. "Happy birthday." Elsa sang and Anna continued, "...to you." The elder royal smiled. "It's your birthday." "...to me." Anna changed the lyrics as Elsa laughed. "It's my birthday."
"Come on!" Elsa pulled her sister up, suddenly realising the amount of effort it took. Anna gasped, suddenly fully awake. "It's my birthday?" She asked, unbelievingly. "Mmm-hmm. And it's going to be perfect because... You've never had a real birthday before. Except of course the ones you spent outside my locked door." Elsa started singing, making her sneeze hold off for a while.
Anna gasped as Elsa magically pulled out a dress from behind her back and quickly ran to change. "So I'm here way too late to help you celebrate and be your birthday date if I may." Elsa sang as Anna changed until the itch returned to her nose and she sneezed.
"Elsa, I'm thinkin' ya might have a cold." Anna said worriedly as she stepped out of the changing panel. "I don't get colds. Besides... A cold never bothered me anyway." Anna sent her a pointed look which Elsa quickly changed with a bit of magic. "Whoa. Fancy." Anna said as she admired the magic work on her dress.
"Just follow the string." Elsa said, pulling Anna out of her thoughts as she held a string. "Wait, what?" "I've got big plans I've got surprises for today." Elsa continued to sing. "Nothin' but nothin's gonna get in our way. I've worked for weeks planned everything within my power. I even got Kristoff and Sven to take a shower. If someone wants to hold me back. I'd like to see them try." Elsa pulled out a present from the cupboard. "Summer!" The 'Olaf' cheered as the doors open, making the sisters laugh.
"I'm on the birthday plan attack. I'm givin' you the sun the moon, and the sky." Elsa led them outside where she could sneeze without Anna really noticing and get some fresh air.
"I'm makin' today a perfect day for you." Elsa sang as she led Anna to other presents. "Ooh, sandwich." Anna grabbed the sandwich on the window sill.
"I'm makin' today a blast if that's the last thing I do. For everything you are to me, and all you've been through. I'm makin' today, a perfect day for you." The royals of Arendelle giggled as they cycled down the stairs, the bumps knocking the sneezes out of Elsa. "They come in threes." Anna reminded her but Elsa shrugged her off. "I'm fine."
"Surprise, surprise this one is specially..." Elsa's singing was abruptly stopped as a sneeze broke out. "Wow, you've got me reeling but I'm still concerned for you. I think it's time that you go home and get some rest." The excitement of the day started to wear off from Anna as the sneezes became more frequent, worrying the younger girl. "We are not stopping 'cause the next one is the be... Ah-ah... Achoo!" Elsa continued to pull her sister towards her other presents, determined to make up for the other birthdays.
"Elsa, you gotta go lie down." Anna said sternly as she tried to get her sister to slow down and turn around. "No way we have to paint the town." Elsa sang, trying to hide the sneezes tickling the back of her throat. "But you need medical attention." Anna tried to reason only to be cut off. "Are you sick? How about a cold remedy... Of my own invention?" "No, thanks." Elsa politely rejected the tonic while Anna secretly grabbed it. "We'll take it."
"We're making today a perfect day for you!" The children in the town square sang as Elsa lead them into the chorus. "We're making today a special day!" She added before they continued. "We're singing a birthday song to make your wishes come true!" "Wishes come true." Elsa sang before she felt her nose start itch. "We love Princess Anna." The sneeze went off like a missile and Elsa had to blow her nose before continuing. "And I love you too." "So we're making today a perfect day. A fabulous day in every way! Yes, we are making today a perfect day!" The children finished and Elsa, still sniffling, led a worried Anna towards other presents.
"Come on. Now we climb!" Elsa sang as they reached the clock tower to get Anna's second last present. As they went on, Elsa had gotten very feverish and delirious, making Anna worry even more but unable to do anything due to the growing pile of presents in her arms. "Elsa, that's too much. You need to rest." Anna warned her, looking at the tall clock tower in front of them.
"We need to get to our birthday chills. I mean thrills. Making dreams! Making plans! Go, go, go, go! Follow the string to the end. You are my very best friend." Elsa delirium was getting worse as her fever continued to rise. "Elsa?" Anna's voice rose an octave as she watched her sister, no longer sneezing but acting as a drunkard.
Elsa sang as she spun around the pole at the edge of the top of the clock tower. "What? I'm fine. We're gonna climb, we're gonna sing. Follow the string to the thing. Happy, happy, happy. Merry, merry, merry. Hot, cold."
Anna dropped everything as she noticed Elsa teetering near the edge of the clock and lost her balance, and was barely in time to grab her sister and pull her back up. "Hot birthday." Elsa sang as her fever delayed her from almost falling.
"Elsa, look at you, you've got a fever. You're burning up." Anna worriedly told her sister as she held her close, not daring to let her go for fear she might fall over again. After a while of making sure her sister was somewhat calmer, Anna finally turned her around to face her.
"All right we can't go on like this. Let's put this day on hold. Come on admit it to yourself." Elsa sighed as she snuggled into her sister, completely exhausted from the day's events. "Okay, I have a cold. I'm sorry, Anna. I just wanted to give you one perfect birthday. But I ruined it. Again." Elsa hung her head as her sister tried to comfort her. "You didn't ruin anything. Let's just get you to bed."
Anna left the presents at the side, making a mental note to ask Kai and some others to collect them later, before going to help Elsa up and begin their trek home. As they got nearer to the castle, Anna couldn't help but feel curious as the sound got louder and louder.
"Oh, no, please, please stop!" Anna heatd Kristoff say through the door and couldn't help but be surprised as she pushed them open.
"Surprise!" Anna jumped as she heard the sound bounce off the courtyard's walls and couldn't contain her shock. "Wow!" "Wow." Elsa echoed as she lifted her head to a slightly different sight than the one she had left earlier that day.
"We're making today a perfect day for you." Anna's heart melted as everyone sang and she was carried towards Kristoff. "We're making today a smiley face all shiny and new." Through the singing, no one heard the sickly queen sneeze.
"There's a fine line between chaos." Kristoff sang before Olaf cut him. "And a hullabaloo." "So we're makin' today a perfect day, makin' today a perfect day! A-N-N-A! Makin' today a perfect day for you!" Everyone was singing by this point and Anna couldn't be happier as Kristoff slid down to meet her.
"Happy birthday." He looked at her with complete adoration in his eyes and she did too. "Makin' today a happy day and no feelin' blue!" Everyone continued to sing, ignoring the couple having their moment. "I love you, baby!" Anna couldn't help but blush as Kristoff sang from his heart and was caught in the moment.
"For everything you are to us, and all that you do!" "I do." The blush on their faces grew as they were completely ignorant to everyone around them. "We're makin' today a perfect today, makin' today a perfect day, makin' today a perfect day!"
"A perfect day!" Elsa suddenly jumped in, reminding Anna of a slightly more important matter at hand and ran to her. "Okay, to bed with you." Anna tried to pull her sister towards the castle but for a sick person, she was quiet strong and dragged her towards a horn. "No, wait. Wait." Anna knew what was going to happen. "Oh!" "All that's left to do is for the Queen to blow the birthday bukkehorn." Anna saw the sneeze building up as her sister reached for the horn. "Oh, no, no, no."
Elsa sneezed instead of blowing but everyone cheered anyway even when they saw the giant snowball launch out from it. "I bet the queen has a good aim even when she's sick." Anna heard some people whisper among themselves and chuckled to herself as she led Elsa to the castle, being affirmed that the maids and servants knew what to do.
"Best birthday present ever." Anna told her sister as soon as the latter was tucked into bed. "Which one?" She smiled at her, glad to finally give her something she wanted. "You letting me take care of you." She smiled back as her sister sneezed. "I guess you really have a birthday sickness Elsa." Anna laughed as she shook her head and let her sister sleep.
And that's a wrap! I'm so happy and sad at this moment. This was my first ever fanfic both on this site and that I've actually written. I've grown up so much since I first started writing this. 4 whole years have passed.
I started writing this after watching Frozen Fever and wondering what would happen if it was longer. Thus Elsa's Birthday Sickness was born.
