My goal for Phoenix Saga: Origin is to at least get through the episode Dalek since you guys had waited so long for me to update which I apologize yet again for.

Thanks to all those who prayed for me while I was getting my teeth removed. I am now all gums but surprisingly pain free. I haven't felt this good in ages and that blasted infection did a real number to my mind. So again, thank you all for keeping me in your prayers.

Also much love to all those who have faved, followed, and reviewed not only this story but my other ones as well. I love all of you, but especially my fans, who go and read a new story of mine even if they haven't watched the series I'm doing it in. Virtual cookies to all you guys! Now moving right along.

Brief Recap: Artimes and Eleven did the deed and the red haired time/space jumper spent eight blissful months in his company and most certainly, in his arms. However, all good things had to come to an end and the ginger jumped from her loving Theta to a very dark room. She was confronted with the Dalek that Van Statten had imprisoned in his underground alien museum. She managed to convince the Dalek to send out a distress signal, thus ensuring the Doctor's arrival. Things go very badly for the crimson haired woman as she is beaten, raped, tortured and experimented on.

Looking Forward: The Ninth Doctor along with his current companion, Rose Tyler, discovers an underground museum full of alien artifacts. The Timelord had been following a signal that had drawn the Tardis off course. Someone tries to communicate with him telepathically, but the connection is very weak. When he finally learns the identity of the one trying to reach him, his fury will take center stage and Van Statten had better watch out for the fury of the Timelord.

Now on with the show!

Chapter Twenty Five: Museum Tour

The Tardis materialized in a large room with several exhibits and glass cases littered about in an organized way. The entire room was engulfed in shadows and dim lighting, giving the entire place an eerie feeling that one would usually tried to avoid, but not the Doctor. He poked his head out before stepping cautiously out of the police public call box. His blonde haired companion followed after him, equally as curious as she shut the door behind them.

"So, what is it? What's wrong?" The young woman asked wondering why the Timelord had changed their original flight plan.

"Don't know, some kind of signal drawing the Tardis of course…" He trailed off looking around at the many exhibits and wondering briefly where the lights were located.

"Doctor, you know that feeling I get when I'm around Artimes?" The blonde asked suddenly.

"The one where you feel like you can do anything simply because she's there?" The Doctor countered glancing back at his companion.

"Yeah, I'm getting that now. Does that mean she's here and if so, where is she?" Rose asked worriedly, glancing around in hopes of finding the crimson haired time/space jumper.

"Artz always makes a habit of finding us immediately when we land, but this time, she's nowhere to be found and there isn't a single trace of her and that worries me." The Timelord responded swallowing hard and trying not to think of anything bad happening to the ginger woman.

She had a knack for getting into trouble which she had recently proved with the Slitheen in Downing Street and quite commonly the trouble she got into was usually his fault to start with and she was only trying to help him.

"Where are we?" Rose asked suddenly, garnering his attention almost immediately and pulling him from his thoughts.

"Earth, Utah, North America. About half a mile underground." He answered automatically, the knowledge easily accessible in that Timelord brain of his.

He was grateful that the younger Tyler was with him. She kept him from dwelling on things he could not change and stopped him more often than not from spending too much time thinking or worrying, especially about a certain crimson haired woman that jumped randomly through time and space and was the self proclaimed 'Queen of Jiggery Pokery'. He smiled slightly, remembering when she had first used that phrase.

"And…when are we?" The blonde asked pulling him from his thoughts once more.

"Two thousand and twelve." He answered beginning his search for the lights again.

He really needed to find out where he was and find his missing companion. An entire list of horrible things went through his head and his jaw clenched slightly. No, he couldn't think like that. He had to believe that she was alright and keep himself calm.

"God, that's so close, so I should be…twenty six." The blonde commented breaking the blue eyed alien out of his thoughts, snapped him back to reality and made him smile slightly.

Only Rose would focus on her age in relativity to where they landed…humans, so predictable sometimes. He inwardly cried out in victory when he finally located the light switches. He flipped them on and light flooded the room, revealing that they were in some kind of museum.

"Blimey, it's a great big museum!" The blonde exclaimed looking about at everything.

The Timelord got a closer look at some of the things housed in the display cases, immediately taking notice of their extraterrestrial origins. This was no ordinary museum and his insides tightened slightly as a bad feeling began to grow in the pit of his stomach.

"An alien museum. Someone's got a hobby. They must've spent a fortune on this." He started before pointing to certain cases and exhibits, naming them as he went, "Chunks of meteorite, moon dust…that's the milometer from the Roswell spaceship."

They continued on, glancing at several other cases. Rose spotted something that she recognized for her most recent adventure, the arm of a Slitheen and looked to had been stuffed before put on display in the clear casing.

"That's a bit of Slitheen! That's a Slitheen's arm, it's been stuffed." The blonde commented feeling slightly nauseous and a little disgusted.

The Timelord shared in her mutual revulsion. The very concept of an alien museum was not only an insult to countless species but quite often showed how narrow minded humans could be. He pushed his lingering feelings of animosity for whoever owned the place aside and became distracted when something shiny and silver caught his attention.

"Ah! Look at you!" The Doctor exclaimed walking over to the display case.

Inside the glass case was the head of a Cyberman, one of the Timelord's oldest enemies. The metal was partially rusted but the dark and empty eyes of the cybernetic helmet still sent shivers down his spine. Rose came to stand behind him as he continued to reminisce about his previous encounters with the Cybermen.

"What is it?" She asked curious.

"An old friend of mine…well enemy. The stuff of nightmares reduced to an exhibit. I'm getting old." He answered staring at the object with a distant look on his face.

"Is that where the signal's coming from?" His blonde haired companion asked finally shaking him away from his past memories completely.

He frowned slightly as he finally became aware of another presence in his mind. It was weak, extremely so…barely even there, but the intriguing thing was that his mental barriers had allowed the presence to enter his mind in the first place, meaning that it had to originate from someone or something that he trusted implicitly.

"Nah, it's stone dead. The signal's alive. Something's reaching out," He answered pausing as the connection with the other presence in his mind became stronger and started revealing high levels of pain and exhaustion, almost creating a whiplash effect in his mind, "Calling for help."

He was so absorbed with trying to figure out the presence in his mind that he didn't even notice when Rose reached up and touched the glass, trying to balance herself as she straightened her shoe. Sirens and alarms started going off and within moments, the duo was completely surrounded by guards with lovely guns pointing at them.

"If someone's collecting aliens, that makes you exhibit A." The blonde commented her tone barely audible.

The Doctor flashed the soldiers a grin, putting forth his usual charm and easy going authority. That smile began to fade into a more stoic expression when the presence in his mind finally spoke and ignited a fury so deep that if the people around him were not careful, he would kill them all with his bare hands.

'Theta…please…it hurts…stop…them…' Artimes whispered in his mind, her pain lancing through their connection harshly, 'Please…help…me…please...please...'

'I'm coming to get you.' He replied firmly, allowing his strength to flow through their link and into her mind.

The Doctor schooled his features into a stony expression and he took Rose's hand, his hand squeezing hers slightly. The blonde glanced up at him in confusion, but then saw the cold fury that swirled in his eyes. Something has angered the Timelord and whatever caused that anger was going to regret it because nothing could withstand the fury of a Timelord…maybe except for a certain crimson haired time/space jumper that seemed to hold a rage that could even trump the Doctor. Rose wondered briefly if the soldiers were holding the ginger captive and the Timelord had somehow worked it out or used that telepathy thing that those two did together. She could only hope that Artimes was alright.

Lady A: Voila! Chapter Twenty Five: Museum Tour is now over and done! I know, not much going on in this chapter but I wanted to get the Doctor's entrance into the episode and do a little something to show how much a certain ginger had affected both Rose and the Doctor. Things will undoubtedly heat up in the next chapter, not to worry dearies! Anyways, leave tons and tons of reviews and be on the lookout for Chapter Twenty Six: Spitfire! Stay Tuned!
