All we do is drive
All we do is think about the feelings that we hide
All we do is sit in silence waiting for a sign
Sick and full of pride
All we do is drive

The Major

"I swear to God, Peter, if you don't sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up, I will personally rip your tongue out of your head."

"Isabella."

I rolled my eyes from my lounge on the couch as I watched Edward keep the girls in check. It had been a couple days since we arrived and the call with the brothers was happening in a few. However, like anything else they should hold one head with, Peter and Isabella had differing views on who should do what while she and I spoke with the brothers.

There was still a ton of things that needed to be done before anything can actually be done to deal with Rosalie and Alice and Peter was against doing it all. Carlisle and Edward were the referee to plenty fights between the two of them and Angela was slowly losing her patience with her mate.

I arched a brow at Isa when she sent me an emotional cocktail that held a warning and shook her head.

She shook her head again and turned to Peter.

"Just do what I asked you to or else you'll be taking it up with Major and I doubt you want that." She said with a raised brow.

I smirked when he turned to me and waved a hand towards the back door. All he had to was clear a couple hundred feet of the trees for us to have enough room to train.

"Thought so." Angela added as he walked from the house with a loud growl.

My answering growl shook the house. "Peter." I said in warning.

"Sorry." He called from the backyard.

"Isabella, carry on." I said to my mate.

"Thank you." she said before turning to the remaining vampires. "Skankasarous Rex, you are to help Peter clear the yard and go and check the driveway again. Clear any debris that is in the driveway and make sure nothing melted in the garage."

Isabella and Charlotte had a very strange relationship. Isabella hated every part of her but Charlotte, depending on what time of day it was, either hated her every bit as much or worshipped the ground she walked on.

Currently they were in a mutual state of hate. Charlotte didn't appreciate having to take orders from such a tiny slip of a human and she absolutely hated that I backed my mate with a good percentage of what she wanted.

"And Major has nothing to do?" Charlotte sassed.

"Major can kick your ass without moving from his seat." I drawled in answer. "But if you must know, the brothers will want to speak with me. If you allow it Charlotte, I'd like to be around for that." I finished sarcastically.

"Just do what she said." Edward said. "Finish Isa."

"Daddy C and Edward, be absolute saints and make sure Ang and I have food for the next couple of weeks and drive into town and pick up the clothes we ordered, please?" Isa asked sweetly. "Also, if you two plan on sticking with the animals, hunt tonight."

The two in question nodded and Isa turned to Angela.

"That all?" she asked.

Angela had taken on the role of assistant to Isa and it worked well enough. Charlotte, of course, hated it but that was to be expected.

"Yep. You and the Major have to be ready to talk with the brothers in a few and that's all set up in the media room." Ang answered.

Isa nodded and turned to me. "Ready?"

I stood from my lounge and waved a hand for her to lead the way. I bit my lip as I followed and thanked God for Tennessee summer heat.

The triple digit temperatures meant that Isa wore less and less clothes. It also meant her hair was always in a bun and left her slender neck on display, which included the multiple marks I left on her skin.

Today she was in a sports bra and practically nonexistent jean shorts. Her long legs were on display as was her toned stomach, with her dangling belly ring. She had braided her hair and tied it up in a fancy bun and tied a bandana around her head.

"Eyes up Major."

I smirked and glanced at her smiling face. I shrugged and pulled her to me, my hands coming to a rest on her perfect ass.

"Stop." She laughed as I nuzzled her neck.

"How much longer?" I asked, lifting my head from her shoulder.

"Couple minutes." She answered. "You lead."

I squeezed her ass and shook my head. "You know better."

"I don't want to." She whined. "They always ask too many questions."

"Isabella."

"I really don't want to."

"You're doing it. End of discussion."

She huffed and walked over to the computer that was set up and started to hook it up to the TV.

"Stop acting like a child." I said as I sat on the couch next to her.

She ignored me, like I expected, and answered when the brothers called.

"Hello." Aro said with a flare.

I nodded to him and Isa spoke. "Let's get to the point, yeah?"

"Yes ma'am." Marcus said. "Go ahead."

With that, Isa started her story again and explained what happened with Rosalie and Alice. When she finished, Caius was the first to answer.

"So why not just kill them?" he asked.

"Because they have information you need." Isa stated, as if it was an obvious answer.

"What do they have that we can't possibly know?" Aro asked.

Marcus laughed softly when Isa rolled her eyes. It was a decent question though; even I didn't know the answer to that one yet.

"How about Maria's whereabouts and all of the information on the potential plan to overthrow you morons?"

"Isabella." I warned. "Stop."

"Sorry." She sighed. "Look, if you kill them now, I won't be able to get all of the information. Right now I only have the backstory. I have no idea how Maria is involved as of yet but if you kill them or even hint at killing us in their presence, the entire thing gets set and you'll have even less time to deal with it."

"Just do what she says, when and exactly, as she says it." I said with my own sigh. "It doesn't make sense to anyone but her, but if you listen to what she says, everyone involved lives. Or at least the ones that should do."

"I'm sure Aro and Caius will do exactly as the princess says, right brothers?" Marcus said with a smirk.

The two nodded and Marcus turned back to us. "Do what you need to but keep us in the know. Princess, if you need anything at all, do not hesitate to let us know."

"About that, we need maybe four or five extra, preferably ones that get along with the Major." Isa said.

"Any one in particular?" he asked with a soft smile.

"Uhm." Isa looked at me.

"We need four or five hundred extra people." I drawled lazily. "You can add Felix, Demetri and maybe Alec. Jane needs to stay the fuck where she's at."

"Newborns alright?" Marcus asked.

"Besides Isabella, her best friend is here." I said with a raised brow. "You tell me where you see that going."

"Fair enough." Marcus conceded. "We don't have that many, though, so newborns are gonna have to do."

"We don't need them all right now. Just send the ones the Major asked for. Send the others as we ask." Isa said.

"Done. We'll send Heidi to keep them in check when we send them."

"As long as she keeps her hands to herself and remembers who the fuck is in charge, she'll be fine." I said.

"They'll be there by tomorrow." Marcus said with a nod.

"Isabella will email you all the information you need. Be sure to send them with enough blood to hold them over for a few weeks."

At his nod, Isa closed the call and started to pack everything up.

"Isabella, when you finish eat something and get the others up to speed. When you're finished with that, meet me in the backyard. We're gonna work on sparring."

We both had pent up frustration that needed to get released or else we'd fight more than anything. Hopefully she remembered everything we went over last night because as soon as she stepped foot outside, we would be starting.

"Anything else, sir?" she sassed.

"Not while everyone is in the house. Maybe tonight when the others go hunting." I responded.

She bit her lip and nodded. "Yes sir."

Always has to have the last word.
