Artemis's POV:

Artemis awoke to a dull sense of dread in her gut. She frowned, trying to figure out what the source of the feeling was. Then she realized. It was Sunday. The one day of the week she dreaded most. Not only was the rest of the team coming today, but it was also that one day of the week that made full grown man run away screaming in terror, that made the superhero world go up in arms and called for the most unholy of allgencices to be forged survive the incoming apocalypse. Today was bath day.

Artemis shuddered and sat up, immeaditly wincing in pain. Both dogs perked their head's up in concern.

"Mis. Fieespets, you aren't supposed to be standing!"

Artemis turned to see Jonas setting a steaming tray down next to her bed, before propping up several pillows for her to lay back on.

"Thanks Jonas. I seriously wonder how this family would have survived without you."

"I wonder this myself Miss Fieespet."

Artemis sighed.

"What am I going to do Jonas? I can barely stand up, much less fight. And today is sunday. You know what that means?"

Her voice rose a few pitches in panic. Jonas calmly pulled up a chair and handed Artemis a steaming cup.

"Drink this."

He said gently. Artemis took the tea and began to practically chug it. The young woman detached her lips from the cup and sighed again, this time a more satisfied sound.

"Thanks Jonas. But what am I going to do?"

Pulse placed her head in her hands and shook it in despair. Jonas placed a comforting hand on her back, careful to avoid the injury.

"Remember what I taught you miss Fieespet. Deep breath in through your nose, then slowly exhale through your mouth."

Artemis did as he said.

"Now," His gentle voice guided, "examine your options."

Artemis thought for a few second, considering who would be stupid enough to perform the mission with a 50% chance of death.

"Well, I guess I could have the team try. But it took me several months to figure out how to get Sapphire and Damarious to take a shower. And that was before they got their powers!"

"But this is a team of trained professional superheroes, who I am sure can take care of themselves."

Artemis gazed at the butler, a dim light of hope appearing in the depths of her onyx eyes. Jonas saw this and continued with a slight grin,

"Besides, it would make for a great test to see if they have the skill to solve the problem. But to increase their chances of survival, maybe you should call in back up?"

"I don't know who to call. Dad's still across state, Gwen's at basketball, Ella would only want to help, Parker and Blake are out on a early morning breakfast date, we all know not to call Jade and Roy in the morning,"

At this the old butler had to smile. Oh to be young.

"Red Hood's on mission in Paris and I don't know when we will hear from him again, and Blue Beetle is on a top secret mission in Wisconsin, code for he's hiding out until tomorrow so he won't get stuck on clean up. Thats it. I guess we really are out of options."

She threw a questioning glance at the butler. He shrugged, before smirking and saying,

"Shall I get the popcorn and blackmail file out miss. Fieespet?"

Artemis couldn't stop the grin from coming over her face and before the butler knew it, she had her arms wrapped around his neck.

"Thank you Jonas."

Her voice was muffled, but he got the jist. The butler patted her shoulder.

"It's no problem miss Fieespet."

They pulled apart.

"Now eat your pancakes before they get cold."

He ordered, a small smile on his face. Artemis gasped, her eyes shining.

"You made me pancakes?"

She said in a small voice. Jonas said no more, and lifted the steaming tray into her lap. Artemis squealed in happiness before picking up her knife and destroying the pancakes with a savagery she normally reserved for Hunter and people who touched her stuff.

The butler stood and glided quietly out of the room, watching his granddaughter devour the pancakes like they had taken something from her. He stood in the door before walking away to prepare more rooms in the infirmary. Something told him he might be needing them in the near future.

THIS-IS-A-LINE-BREAK-THE-STORY-CONTINES-BELOW-

Damarius's POV:

Damarius awoke to the smell of pancakes drifting upstairs into his room. He stumbled out of bed, tripped down a flight of stairs, and faced planted at the bottum. He slowly made his way to the kitchen as to not trip on or destroy anything else. He made it to the sanctuary of the kitchen with only a few dozen bruises and several cuts. All in all, not a bad start to his morning. Sapphire was already down there, napping on the large stack of newspapers that were supposed to be for the dogs. For some reason both dogs enjoyed r a good newspaper in the morning, and then the kids were aloud to nap on/chew/rip up the newspapers.

Nelson and Spitfire where no where to be seen, which was strange. Normally they would be up and about, trying to steal bacon from the stove.

'hey, speaking of stoves, where's Jonas?'

Spirits morning brain finally picked up the fact that the much loved butler was not the figure bustling around the kitchen. He slowly blinked the sleep out of his eyes. Thin curvy shape, red hair, yellow cardigan and matching skirt, and green skin? That meant one thing.

"Martian!"

Damarius screeched. M'gann swirled around, pancakes in hand only to see Damarius pined to the wall by 5 or 6 electrified knives. Sapphire was standing on the table, her eyes sparked with electricity.

'Uh oh.'

*BOOM*

The power was out.

$%$%$%$%$%$%$%$%$

3rd Person POV:

The team was assembled in the front lawn in their sleepwear as the power guys rolled away. The electricity company loved the Fieespet's and knew them all by name. Jonas made up the quick excuse that Artemis was at a friends house, but it didn't matter. The electricity company, heck the whole town knew strange stuff went on at the Fieespet mansion. They were just grateful it didn't happen to them.

"This sucks."

Zantanna mumbled as she pulled up her tank top strap.

"I feel ya girl."

Rocket shifted uncomfortably in her long shirt, which she wore over her boxer shorts.

"Well, we will be heading inside in a moment."

Jonas comforted. Both girls gave him grateful smiles, while Robin gave him a glare. After what seemed like an eternity, the power came back on and they could go back inside. Wally was about to zoom in, when Jonas said,

"Miss. Artemis would like you all to meet her in her room right now."

Everyone exchanged looks and shrugs before heading to the secret entrance. Jonas smirked and went to grab a TV and some popcorn for Artemis, as well as the mission reports and robot designs from last night. They had work to do.

The team opened Artemis's room door. The young blond girl gave them a weak smile.

"Artemis!"

Megan flew over and grabbed her old friend in a hug.

"Megan. Injury. Back."

Artemis weezed out. The over enthusiastic martian released her friend.

"ohmygoodness! Are you okay!"

Sapp rushed over.

"Big sister! Do you hear me!"

She screeched like a banshee, causing Conner to clap his hand over his ears in an attempt to save his poor ears from the possibly deadly noise.

*so where else on the plant*

Superman screamed in pain and dropped from the sky, causing some of the children he was saving to start laughing at him. But all he was think was

what the hell was that?

*somewhere else in galaxy*

a peaceful race called the Car'ghep, where harvesting their crops in a field when all of a sudden half their workers go deaf.'

*back on our much beloved and targeted planet*

Artemis winced and pushed Sapphire off her lap.

"Now I have to worry about bruised ribs and broken ears."

She gave Sapphire the evil eye, prompting our favorite energy controlling meta human to do the most mature thing she could. Sticking her tongue out. To which Pulse stuck her tongue out, which started the battle of the tongues. The team watched in absolute fascination as two of the most powerful women on the planet made faces at each other.

"So, what did you want us here for Artemis?"

DayAqualad stepped in, causing both girls to lose focus on what they were doing.

"Oh? Right."

She turned to the youngest girl in the room.

"we will finish this later."

They glared at each other for another minute before Artemis returned to them.

"Okay, today as you probably now, is Sunday."

She studied their faces for a moment.

"What, nothing? Here, let my try again. SUNDAY."

Sapphire caught on first. She gasped, and turned to whisper into Damarius's ear. He gasped, and they both sprinted out.

"okay, what was that about?"

Wally chuckled. Artemis glared at him.

"This is no laughing matter Wallace Rudolph West."

Artemis said, her voice dead serious.

"Today is the day most grown men fear with their very existence. Today, is Bath Day. "

"So?"

Artemis turned, her onyx eyes flashing.

"So think about it. Who ran out. What powers do they have?"

"Wha.. Ohh."

Everyone said in understanding.

*With our to favorite kids*

"How could she do this to us? I mean she's injuryed, but that doesn't mean she should send the team after us! Ugh."

Sapphire collpased onto the bed in a huff. She was wearing a black blouse with black leggings, and black wool socks to help kick start her powers when she ran across the carpet. Her utility belt was around her tiny 7 year old waist, and a satchel filled with her supplies was on slung over her shoulder. A black baseball cap was holding her puffy white hair.

Spirit was wearing a black muscle shirt with a hood and black kakis. His feet were bare. A simalar satchel was thrown over his shoulders.

"I don't now. But this happens every Sunday. We were fools to think this one would be any different. Now,"

He yanked the cover of the air vent.

"If you want stay dry and I want to stay dry, we have a partner ship. Ladies first."

He gestered into the hole. Surge scowled at him before leaping in with all the grace and skill her aunt Jade taught her.

*back with the team*

"So, your saying Damarius is afaird of drowning and Sapphire is afaird of getting electrocuted?"

Zantanna asked.

"Yep."

She spotted Jonas carrying Clay in.

"Oh, whos my baby?"

She cooed as Jonas handed him to her. He laughed and grabbed at her red bangs.

"Anyway, these kids are very dangerous and"

"Artemis."

Robin inerjected.

"We ae trained super heros. I think we can handle this."

Artemis hid her smirk. They had taken the bait.

"Okay,"

She shrugged.

"Go a head."

The team nodded and smiled before heading out.

"This won't take long."

Wally said as he zoomed out.

"Why to I feel like this is a trap?"

Aqualad looked at Pulse. She shrugged and smiled innocently. After everyone left, Jonas came in carrying a tv and popcorn.

"where should I put this miss. Artemis?"

She gesture to the room.

"I don't care, put it anywhere."

"Okay. By the way, here are the reports from last night."

"Thank you."

She nodded before taking them from his hands. She was glancing through the reports when her cell phone rang. She picked it up and smiled at the caller id.

"Hey Red Hood."

"Not the time Artemis."

Jason's serious voice told her something was wrong.

"whats wrong?"

"I found a league of shadows shipping warehouse and then I found out what they were shipping and where too. I'm sending the info to you know."

Artemis pulled out a laptop.

"Information received."

Artemis opened the link and ran through the order. It was all interesting, but one thing stood out to her. Rather, one name, place, and date.

"oh god.."

She looked down at the toddler in her arms.

"This is not good.

*Somewhere else on the planet.*

"Hunter Akarts, you have fail."

A handsome young man with blond hair and brown eyes lifted his head.

"No! I almost got through this time! I can sense it."

A creepy voice laughed from his left.

"Normal you would be dead after all these failures, but we see great promise in you and your experiments. Most importantly the young girl they call Element."

"Of course."

The young man bowed.

"Now, you one more chance. One final attack. But this time you will have back up."

A huge blond man stepped out from the shadows.

"Sportsmaster will accompany you."

The speakers mouth, or what they could see of it, twisted into a psychotic smile.

"No one escapes the Light."

Ohhh, the light! Looks like this is bigger then anyone thought.
