Taking Off The Kid Gloves
Three Days Later In Uzu
Stumbling onto the shores of Uzu, soaked to the bone a man made his way onto the island of Uzu deep in though after taking in the sights of the once destroyed island village. 'What in the world is going on here? The island is supposed to be in ruins, and abandoned.. I must figure out whats going on here..' the man though to himself as he trudged his way off of the shore.
Walking on dry land after so long of running on water the man sighed heavily. "Now.. where to go from here? I hear construction going on in the distance, but no buildings that show much of impo-" The man cut himself off as he scanned what buildings, and half structures that were being put up as his gaze wandered around. "Never mind, I'll start there." The man decided as he started making his way towards the larger structure that he assumed was a hospital, judging by its size.
"Better start there, maybe I can get a few answers once I find some people to talk to." The man mused aloud to himself as he changing his direction towards the building.
Arriving in front of the building, the man noticed people who were giving him strange looks, and whispering to each other as the passed by. Ignoring them for the time being, the man looked to his feet, feeling something poking at his left leg.
Looking down the man saw a little pig in a vest poking his leg with his snout before looking up at him.
"Puiii puiii!" The little animal squealed quietly.
"A pig?" He thought to himself before lowering himself to the animals level. 'I haven't seen a pig like that since-' The man was cut off from his thoughts by a very painful punch to the back of his skull sending him flying away from the animal.
Getting up from the ground in a daze the man's eyes slowly started focusing on what attacked him moments ago, and quickly realized that it was...
"Tsunade?" The man asked in a daze.
"Jiraiya." Tsunade growled out. "I should of known you'd come looking around sooner, or later.." Tsunade huffed as she made her way over to him.
Standing up, and brushing himself off real quick to defend himself from any more possible attacks from his ex-teammate.
"What is going on here Tsuna? I thought this place was destroyed?" Jiraiya quickly asked.
"It was. But it is being rebuilt." Tsunade quickly answered. "Now, what are you doing here?"
Fearing for his life seeing that Tsunade meant business, and promised pain upon him if his answered didn't appease her. "I've been looking for Naruto!" Jiraiya quickly mouthed out. "I've been looking for him since I got word that he left."
"He's not here." Tsunade responded simply, as she picked up Ton-Ton.
"Please Tsuna, I have to find him. If you know where he is you need to tell me." Jiraiya tried bargaining.
"I told you already Jiraiya. I don't know where Naruto is." Tsunade simply brushed off her ex-teammates plead, and continued toward the front entrance of the hospital. "Leave the island before I make you Jiraiya." Tsunade warned as she looked over her shoulder with a glare.
Ignoring Tsunade's warning Jiraiya blocked Tsunade's path to the front door. "Tsunade, please tell me what is going on here. If you know where Naruto is please tell me. I'm not here to take him back to Konoha, I'm simply trying to protect him." Jiraiya quickly threw out to try and stall Tsunade.
"It doesn't matter Jiraiya, even if I did know where he was, I wouldn't tell you. Sensei probably asked you to retrieve him, and that's why your looking for him."
"No that's not true, yes Sensei is worried about him, but I left the village to protect him like I should have the day he was born. Please.. at least tell me who is in charge here.." Jiraiya pleaded with a downcast look towards the ground.
Looking at her ex-teammate, Tsunade was stumped to say the least. She has never seen Jiraiya so confused, and mentally torn like this other than the times she would reject him. 'What's going on in that thick skull of yours Jiraiya..?'
"I believe I can answer that question." A voice said not too far away, causing both Tsunade, and Jiraiya to look over at the voice.
Looking over his should, Jiraiya instantly spotted a beautiful woman with long red hair and violet eyes, with a very 'Pleasing' bust size in his book, and seemed to be carrying a few books under her arm.
"My Name is Tomo Uzumaki, and I would be the leader of this village. Now why would you be here in the first place, Jiraiya of the sannin?" Tomo asked with a hard stern look that promised just as much pain as Tsunade could dish out.
Steeling his resolve, Jiraiya mustered up enough courage to speak to the woman in front of him, that was apparently the leader of the village. "I'm looking for Naruto Uzumaki. Would you happen to know where he is?" Jiraiya asked.
Taking note of Tsunade shaking her head, letting her know not to let the man know where Naruto is, Tomo just looked back at Jiraiya.
"I do not know where this Naruto may possibly be. I'm sorry you made your way here for nothing, but if you do so happen to come across him. Would you please pass along to him that he is more than welcome here in his clan's homeland." Tomo smiled after finishing.
Not taking that as his final answer upon just reaching the island village, Jiraiya refused to back down just yet. "Please if you know anything that could possibly help me find him, I would be forever in your debt."
Thinking about it for a moment, Tomo gestured for Jiraiya to follow her for a moment, and excused Tsunade to carry on with what she was doing before Jiraiya appeared.
Stopping a little ways away from the business of the villages reconstruction, Tomo looked Jiraiya straight into his eyes before asking. "What business do you have with Naruto Uzumaki in the first place? I will not let a fellow clansmen be harmed by anyone's actions, sannin or not I will protect them even if they are missing." Tomo stated in a matter of fact tone.
"I am simply looking to protect Naruto from the outside world of Konoha. His parent's made me his godfather, and due to circumstances in Konoha, I was not allowed to watch over the boy after he was born. Now that he is outside of Konoha, I've abandoned my active role in Konoha as Tsunade has done in the past to try, and find him so he would no longer be in danger." Jiraiya quickly explained almost out of breath.
"You've abandoned your role in your home village to look for him?" Tomo asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes! I've been looking for him for almost six months now with no good leads. I don't want to think about what would happen if Iwa, or Kumo got wind of him or even his girlfriend being out of the village." Jiraiya looked away seeing that this may not turn out to be a good place to look.
"I will tell you this Jiraiya. He is safe, and already being protected. There is no need to worry about him." Tomo explained as she started slowly walking away from the toad sage.
"You know where he is?" Jiraiya quickly asked.
"Yes, and no. But knowing where he is at the moment is anyone's guess." Tomo shrugged cutely confusing the toad sage.
"But you said you knew where he is?" Jiraiya questioned.
"Indeed I did. But I never said I would tell you in the first place, now did I?" Tomo chuckled as she walked away back to the hospital, leaving Jiraiya to his own thoughts. 'If Naruto wants you to know he is here, then he will be the one to decide that not me.' Looking over her shoulder she left Jiraiya with one last thing. "You are free to look around the village, perhaps even help with build if you are feeling charitable. But don't go wandering into places you shouldn't be in." Tomo called back to the toad sage with a mental smirk.
'Places I shouldn't be in?' Jiraiya thought for a moment, as he started walking back to the loud, and busy village that was trying to get back on its feet.
Once taking note of Jiraiya heading back to the village center Tomo quickly walked into the hospital to find Tsunade. Once finding her she instantly set the books down on her desk. "Do you think he is really here to protect Naruto?" Tomo asked Tsunade.
"That.. I am not so sure about. Jiraiya was always our sensei's leg humper as I liked to call him. He could be here to take Naruto back to Konoha." Tsunade sighed thinking how much of a pain in the ass her ex-teammate has always been.
"He told me something that interested me. He said he abandoned his active role in Konoha just as you had done in the past, all so he could protect Naruto-kun and Hinata-chan from Iwa, and Kumo. I think his intentions on finding Naruto-kun may be sincere." Tomo said with a thoughtful look on her face.
"Maybe.. what should we do?" Tsunade asked sort of shocked that her ex-teammate abandoned his spy network and feeding information like he usually does to Konoha, just to look for Naruto.
"I will talk with Naruto-kun, and Kensei-kun. See what they think about it." Tomo offered as the best thing she could think of.
"Where is Jiraiya now?" Tsunade asked.
"He wandered into the middle of the village, why?" Tomo asked curiously.
"You didn't think he wouldn't start snooping did you?" Tsunade shot an accusing look at Tomo.
"Actually, I kind of encouraged it with a subtle hint. I was on the fence about telling him that Naruto-kun was here or not." Tomo chuckled seeing Tsunade's annoyed face. "Don't worry, he can't get into the compound, and even if he did spot Naruto, Kensei, Hinata or Hana he may not even recognize them." Tomo giggled thinking about how the four looked after the seal she placed on them temporarily.
"I suppose your right." Tsunade sighed in defeat.
"Why don't you come with me. We can figure out what to do together, seeing how we are all a family." Tomo smiled before she left Tsunade's office, with Tsunade close behind shutting the door as they left.
Uzumaki Compound
Knocking on the door of Naruto, and Hinata's house. Tomo waited patiently for the door to be opened. Moment's later Hinata poked her head out of the doorway with her red hair following her every movement.
"Tomo-sama, Tsunade-sama. How are you two today?" Hinata asked with a sweet smile.
"Very good Hinata-chan, and how many times have I told you its just Tomo, Or Kaa-san." Tomo playfully scolded before giggling at the girls immense politeness.
"My apologies." Hinata said while looking down to the ground shyly.
"Don't worry Hinata-chan, you'll get used to it. Now is Naruto-kun home?" Tomo asked with a smile.
"Um. Yes he is out back with Kensei." Hinata explained as she moved out of the doorway to let the two women inside.
Getting to the back yard, the ladies spotted two spiky long red haired teens engaged in a taijutsu fight, cursing, and auguring with each other as they fought.
"Your gonna pay for that you worm!"
"Bite me!"
"No you taste like wormieness! I'll leave that honor to Hinata!"
"Fuck you! you.. you fuckward! I mean fuckwad!"
"Hahaha! You can't even ta-OMPF!" Kensei grunted as he was punched hard in the gut after being caught off guard while laughing. "Low blow minion.. Low blow.." Kensei coughed out.
"Hmpf." Naruto grunted as he spotted Hinata, along with Tomo and Tsunade.
"I hope you two are playing along with each other nicely." Tomo sweat dropped at the sight of her son on the ground.
"Yes we are Kaa-san." Naruto smiled sheepishly.
"Didn't look that way to me gaki." Tsunade smirked.
"It didn't? What did it look like to you Tsunade-sama?" Hinata asked with sarcasm barely noticeable in her tone.
"A cautionary tale of fists between brothers?" Kensei answered as he picked himself up off the ground.
"Eyy.. yeah.. sure." Naruto laughed. "What did you guys come here for?" Naruto asked curious as to why they were here, not that he didn't mind.
"Well we have an interesting visitor on the island today. I wanted to see what you thought about him, seeing how he is here looking for you Naruto-kun." Tomo explained.
"Who is it?" Naruto asked curiously.
"My perverted ex-teammate Jiraiya. He said he's been looking for you for a while now to protect you from anything that may harm you after leaving Konoha." Tsunade explained.
"Why would he of all people be trying to protect me in the first place? Do you think he is being truthful about his intentions?" Naruto asked with a thoughtful look on his face, not sure how to feel about the subject at hand.
"I believe his intentions may be true Naruto-kun, but Tsunade says she wouldn't put it past him to have an ulterior motive behind looking for you." Tomo explained to her grandson.
Moving some of his long red hair from his sweaty face, Naruto put on a thoughtful look for a few moments. "Bring him here." Naruto simply stated.
"What? You can't be serious. If he does in fact intend to take you back, and knows you are here and reports back to Konoha, we will be swarmed with people trying to either kill you all or take you back! I won't let that happen!" Tsunade shouted.
"It's simple really.. If he says he left Konoha to look for me for six months, and hasn't already barged in here, or hasn't snuck around the compound. It must mean he is not even worried about being spotted. That doesn't sound like a master of espionage trying to find his target for information. Now does it?" Naruto explained simply, causing Tsunade to look at him funny.
"I guess when you put it that way.." Tsunade mumbled. "But I wont stop from killing him the moment he tries something stupid.." Tsunade warned with a huff.
"Please, by all means do." Naruto laughed.
"You want me to get him?" Kensei asked after finally getting enough air into his lungs regularly to speak again in a very serious tone.
"That would be lovely Kensei-kun. He should be in the village center right now Kensei-kun." Tomo smiled.
"Very well then, I'll be back in a moment." Kensei stated before disappearing in a swirl of black and red chakra.
Watching Kensei disappear, Naruto made his way over to his now red haired girlfriend, and grabbed her hand. "Don't worry Hinata-chan, we aren't going anywhere." Naruto smiled. "Let's go sit on the patio while we wait for Kensei to come back." Naruto suggested, getting a nod from Hinata.
"You know Hinata-chan. You really do pull off the red haired look beautifully." Naruto complimented as he looked at his girlfriend with a sideways look, smiling as he did so. Making said girlfriend blush after hearing his words.
"Thank you Naruto-kun. I really like your hair red too. It's very handsome." Hinata complimented in return, taking in his long spiky red hair that reached the middle of his back. "Even though I fell in love with your blonde hair I think I like this color better than both your blonde and black haired look." Hinata smiled.
"Me too. I feel like I was supposed to have this color of hair to begin with." Naruto smiled sheepishly, as they all reached the patio furniture.
Middle of The Shopping District
After wandering around the village lost in thought after the red haired woman left him to his own devices. Jiraiya was at a loss at the moment. He didn't have any contacts here on the once again active island to get information from, and since he didn't know the lay out of the village he was flying blind at the moment. Something that he was still uncomfortable with, even with all of his many years of experience in espionage. The fact that he was in a village that was once feared as the most powerful nation in the shinobi world, just made his bad feelings about the place even worse.
Making his way past another cross road in what seemed to be the shopping district to the village, close to the harbor Jiraiya suddenly became aware of a very high chakra signature making its way towards him.
Coming to a halt after the chakra signature he was sensing appeared in front of him in a swirl of red and black chakra, Jiraiya was put on high alert, and he prepared for the worst possible outcome of the situation.
Once the figure was finally distinguishable, Jiraiya took note of a man about six feet tall with really long spiky red hair that reminded him of how Madara Uchiha's hair looked like when he was alive. And was wearing a grey Uzu flak jacket, with a tight black muscle shirt and black anbu styled pants. The thing that really threw him off were his eyes.. his eyes that were blood red, and gave an aura about him that said 'I will kill you if you twitch awkwardly.' As the man narrowed his eyes towards him, Jiraiya wasn't sure what to think of the potentially very dangerous man in front of him, but his thoughts of the man were cut short as the man spoke.
"Jiraiya of the sannin I'm guessing?" Kensei asked in a bored tone and a hard stern look.
"Yes that is me. Who are you?" Jiraiya asked while in a half stance.
"A person you shouldn't piss off... But I mean you no harm.. yet." Kensei warned dangerously. "I was told to bring you with me." Kensei simply ordered not even give Jiraiya the answer to the question he asked.
"Wait. Who ordered you? And where are you leading me to?" Jiraiya asked not sure if he liked being ordered around.
"You wanted answers right?" Kensei stated, getting a nod from Jiraiya in return. "Then you will follow me, but just so we are clear. If you try anything.. and I mean anything that could harm anyone from my clan and or country. Well lets just say that Tsunade will be the last of your worries.." Kensei warned with his eyes narrowing dangerously at the white haired man in front of him.
'What the hell is up with this kid? He knows who I am but decides to openly threaten me? Just who the hell is he?' Jiraiya wondered to himself, still wary of the man in front of him. "Very well, I understand, I mean no harm to anyone." Jiraiya offered with his hands raised upwards, and getting a nod from Kensei in return be for he motioned for the sannin to follow him.
After walking for a good 10 minutes in silence at a steady pace, Jiraiya was starting to feel a little apprehensive with the tension that seemed to be floating around the two as the continued their walk, to wherever it was they were going.
"So.. uh.. How long has the village been rebuilding for?" Jiraiya asked, trying to get some sort of conversation going with the long haired red head.
"For a while now." Kensei answered simply, not giving away any specific information to the toad sage.
"That's good to hear. I'm glad to hear things are starting to come together here once more." Jiraiya smiled.
"I agree." Kensei responded shortly.
"Look I-" Jiraiya started to say something but was cut off by Kensei.
"Don't take this the wrong way.. but I really don't like the fact that you are here." Kensei said with a sharp look to the man slightly behind him. "I've heard about what happened to the person you are looking for in Konoha before he left, and the fact that you are searching for a member of my clan is not a feeling I'm willing to stomach. A man such as yourself with the standing you have in Konoha must mean you are here to either drag him back to Konoha to be their lap dog again, or out right kill him." Kensei explained with his fists balled at his sides to Jiraiya while not even looking at him.
"I promise you that I am not here to do either of those things. I just want to protect him from those who are seeking to hurt him. Like I was supposed to.." Jiraiya trailed off, causing Kensei to raise an eyebrow at hearing that.
"Explain." Kensei demanded.
Sighing to himself momentarily Jiraiya started explaining. "I knew Naruto's parents, very well. They chose me as his godfather, but due to my responsibilities in the village I was told I could not take Naruto into my care." Jiraiya quietly explained.
"Bullshit." Kensei growled.
"What?" Jiraiya narrowed his eyes at the man next to him.
"I said bullshit. If you were chosen to take care of him to begin with, you should of done anything in your power to honor your position as his godfather. Despite any crap your village told you. You are your own man, and make your own decisions in life." Kensei grumbled out while looking at Jiraiya. "I'm surprised a man of your age doesn't know this by now." Kensei looked away before adding onto what he was saying. "Any man's actions, always will come with a consequence of some kind."
"I know." Jiraiya admitted while looking down at the path the two were following.
After a few more minutes of silence, Kensei spoke up again. "We are here." Kensei stated as they were in front of the gates to the Uzumaki Compound.
"The Uzumaki Compound?" Jiraiya wondered out loud, as he started following Kensei into the compound. Walking for a few more minutes, Jiraiya took note of the large plot of land that the compound had, and also the fact that there were only a few homes actually built at the moment. Jiraiya's curiosity was peaked to say the least. 'I thought perhaps there would be a lot more houses built within the compound.' Jiraiya thought after looking around the compound, taking in the sights of it.
Before getting any closer to Naruto and Hinata's house, Kensei held a hand out to stop Jiraiya from moving another step. "You are going to be meeting with some very important people who will decide exactly to do with you. I know I don't need to remind a man such as yourself about this, but be respectful of any decision they may come to." Kensei explained while looking at Jiraiya in the eye, and getting a nod from the man in return, before moving out of the way and letting Jiraiya pass him.
"They are in the back yard. Remember do anything, and I will not hesitate in killing you." Kensei warned as Jiraiya made his way past him, and following a few feet behind with a hand on his katana at the ready.
Once Jiraiya made it past the back door of the house, he took in the sight of four people sitting at a patio set chatting peacefully with each other. One he knows all too well, Tsunade, another he just met, Tomo Uzumaki, and then a long haired spiky redhead like the one that lead him to the house only maybe a couple years younger, and a younger long haired redheaded woman that seemed to be the same age as the younger male at the patio table.
'The younger male doesn't appear to be his age, he's much taller, more muscular, and doesn't appear to be under a genjutsu to hide whisker marks..' Jiraiya mentally sighed after thinking about it.
"Ah thank you for escorting our guest." Tomo nodded to Kensei, who simply nodded back in return. They knew that giving any more information than necessary could harm them, seeing how they didn't know what was going to happen with the white haired sannin at the moment. "Take a seat." Tomo instructed with a smile and gestured to one of the open chairs.
Taking a seat at the table, Kensei remained standing behind Jiraiya with his arms crossed, ready to attack if need be.
"Now, we have already met once before Jiraiya-san. But this meeting of sorts will determine whether, or not we share any information we have on our missing clansmen to you." Tomo started saying before looking at the others of the table. "We would like you to explain everything that has happened in Konoha regarding the disappearance of our clansmen, as well as your honest reasons as to why you are searching for him. After that we may be able to piece together something that may be of use to you." Tomo smiled, with the other two red heads nodding in agreement.
"Very well. It all started long before Naruto was born.." Jiraiya started explaining the past such as how he met Naruto's parents and anything else he could think of to help his case with the Uzumaki's in front of him. After 15 minutes of pouring out everything he had as far as reasons he was looking for Naruto, and reasons why he couldn't assume his roles as a godfather years prior. Jiraiya wrapped everything up, and was taking in the faces of the five silent people he was speaking too.
"So." Naruto started slowly. "You left your responsibilities with Konoha behind in order to search for your godson. Even though you most likely don't even know what he looks like besides maybe an old ID photo that was taken after he graduated from the Academy, and have been looking for the past six months with no clues as to where he is, or what could of happened to him." Naruto stated the facts that the toad sage just finished explaining.
"That is correct." Jiraiya nodded.
"Then answer me this. If you did find him. Then what?" Naruto asked skeptically, just as Hinata reached under the table, and grabbed Naruto's hand squeezing it to let him know she was here with him.
"Then I will protect him." Jiraiya answered. "If he is being hunted, then I will kill those that are hunting him. If he is hiding, then I will help him remain hidden. If he needs help, I will be there to provide it for him. And even if he has no intention on returning to Konoha ever, I will support his decision, and be there for him until a time comes to where he no longer needs my protection." Jiraiya declared to everyone at the table with determination, shocking them all at his answer.
After hearing Jiraiya declaration, everyone relaxed a bit more seeing that the man was honest about his intentions. "Then I will tell you where Naruto Uzumaki is, if you promise to stand by with what you just said Jiraiya of the sannin." Naruto responded trying not to smirk as he spoke.
Jiraiya sat on the edge of his seat in anticipation after hearing what he desperately wanted to hear.
"I'm right here.." Naruto gestured while spreading his arms out from him, while pulling Hinata's hand up with him.
"Your.. Naruto?" Jiraiya asked in confusion, not seeing much of a resemblance.
"That is correct Jiraiya. He is Naruto Uzumaki, son of my daughter Kushina Uzumaki, and Konoha's Yondaime Hokage Minato Namikaze." Tomo nodded.
"It's true." Tsunade added.
"But how? What happened to you Naruto? You should be a lot shorter, and have blonde hair.. and whisker marks?" Jiraiya rubbed his eyes just to make sure.
"Lets just say somethings happened to where I became what I should have been at birth." Naruto explained in an even tone.
"But.. what happened to your girlfriend.. and your older brother and his girlfrie.." Jiraiya trailed off after taking note of the younger woman that was holding hands with Naruto still. "Hinata?" Jiraiya asked after piecing that part of the puzzle together.
"Yes Jiraiya-sama?" Hinata asked cutely with her head tilted slightly. Leaving Jiraiya with a blank look on his face, noticing her obvious long red hair and slightly blue tinted pupiless eyes.
"Well that went better than I was expecting." Tomo giggled while covering her mouth.
"I suppose." Tsunade snorted. "I better get back to the hospital, and help Shizune." Tsunade announced as she got out of her chair, but stopped and looked at the still shocked ex-teammate of hers and getting his attention. "My house is the third closest one to the compounds gate. I expect you to stop by tonight, we have some catching up to do." Tsunade ordered.
"Y-yeah sure.. I'll be there..." Jiraiya mindlessly responded, as he continued to stare at the very different Naruto, and Hinata. Who were snickering at his expression.
"So Jiraiya. Will you stand by with what you have told us?" Kensei asked in a stern voice, getting the toad sage's attention.
"Y-yes. I'm a little confused as to what I need to do now though.." Jiraiya explained as he looked over to Tomo.
"Well I can tell you this Jiraiya. We have no intention on returning to Konoha anytime soon." Naruto explained as he took Jiraiya's eyes away from his grandmother. "We are rebuilding our clan to what it once was, and I intend to do everything in my power to make that dream a reality. If you truly meant what you told us, you can stay here with us to fulfill your desire to protect me. If you decide to stick around here for a while, you will figure out very quickly that I am far from defenseless, and can handle my own for the most part." Naruto shrugged. "So what will you do?" Naruto asked in a serious voice.
"I.. will stay here with you guys. Perhaps I could train you in some of your father's jutsu's? As you may of already guessed I have picked up a thing or two on my travels." Jiraiya offered with a hopeful tone in his voice.
"I would be alright with that." Naruto smiled, seeing that he may get a new punching bag to play with. "Kensei-nii. You can back down now." Naruto ordered to his brother who was still looking like he was ready to draw blood behind the white haired sannin.
"Fine... I still don't like the fact that he is here." Kensei stated as he turned his head away from everyone at the table. "Nice to meet you Jiraiya, excuse me." Kensei half bowed before turning around and leaving Naruto's house.
"Kensei.." Hinata quietly spoke. "I hope Kensei is alright, he doesn't seem to be very happy now.." Hinata wondered aloud.
"He'll get over it, something must of gotten stuck in his.." Naruto trailed off but stopped as he saw the stern glare Hinata was giving him, telling him to shut up before he finished what he was going to say.
"I apologize for my son's behavior. Normally he is a very carefree soul, but lately he has been having about as many mood swings as his wife." Tomo smiled.
"There is nothing to apologize for." Jiraiya waved off her apology.
"Well if you will excuse me, I have a few errands to run before it gets any later in the day. Would you like to accompany me Jiraiya-san? I could give you a tour of the village while I finish my errands." Tomo offered.
"That's very kind of you. Thank you, I will take you up on your offer." Jiraiya replied.
"Well while your on your grand tour, Hinata-chan, and I are going to go meet up with Sasuke and Karin out in the forest to train for a bit. Hopefully they aren't swapping spit again like last time.." Naruto trailed off trying to shake the thought from his head, getting Hinata to giggle at the memory of the 'Not dating' couple that were living together.
"Why don't we all get together here for dinner tonight? I'm sure everyone has many questions for Jiraiya-sama." Hinata suggested as she stood up with Naruto, still holding onto his hand with a kind smile.
"That would be lovely Hinata-chan. I will let Tsunade, and the others know when I see them." Tomo replied, liking the idea.
"We will see ya later then." Naruto smiled before, disappearing in a swirl of red and black chakra taking Hinata with him, shocking the white haired sannin that Naruto could even perform such a variation of the body flicker jutsu.
Giggling as she saw Jiraiya's face when Naruto and Hinata disappeared from the patio. "You will understand just how off your assumptions are on Naruto in his intelligence, and strength were once you are around him more than a day." Tomo laughed as she got out of her chair, and started walking off back out of the compound to tend to her errands with Jiraiya quietly behind her.
That Night 1:30am
After a tiring day of training, and an eventful large dinner at Naruto and Hinata's house that went about as good as it could be with everyone being thrown into the same room. The night was filled with stories, laughter, and explanations as everyone that was not familiar with him, was introduced to Jiraiya that night. Skeptical at first, Sasuke didn't say much to the man, but after hearing him talking for a while. Sasuke became more relaxed and accepting of the man who seemed to be looking out for what is best for Naruto in the end.
Once dinner was over everyone retired back into their homes around 10pm with full stomachs thanks to the women of the compounds wonderful cooking, and now the compound had a very peaceful calm quiet that was perfect for a good nights rest, that is.. until a small crashing noise woke Sasuke up from his beauty sleep.
"Ehwha?" Sasuke groaned as he sat up in bed after hearing the noise, and then heard a similar noise and some rummaging downstairs in what seemed to be coming from the kitchen.
Jumping out of his bed, Sasuke made his way down the hallway and down the stairs to see what was causing all of the noise.
Getting to the kitchen in stealth mode, Sasuke readied a kunai he brought with him as he slowly approached the now empty kitchen. The only thing that seemed to be out of place was his refrigerator door was wide open.
'What the hell?' Sasuke thought to himself as he walked towards the open fridge, but stopped as he heard an unusal noise that he was sure his fridge didn't normally make. 'Is that.. snoring?'
Zeroing in on the noise, Sasuke noticed it was coming from one of the lower drawers of the fridge. After steeling his nerves Sasuke slowly approached the drawer with an apprehensive hand reaching out to pull it open. Opening the drawer slowly at first and then tugging it open Sasuke fell on his ass as a sleeping Naruto popped out of the drawer eating the vegetables that were inside.
"Naruto!? What the fuck are you doing in there!?" Sasuke yelled as his eyes focused in on the intruder, but got no response from his best friend.
Shifting his head around with his eyes still closed. Naruto sniffed the air for a moment, and snaked his body back to the fridge and started eating the rest of the fridge's contents.
"Hey! Don't eat all of my food you ass! Karin will kill you!" Sasuke warned loudly enough in attempts to get his best friends attention, but his treat fell on deaf ears.
Walking over towards Naruto, and grabbing his shoulder, whirling his body around to face him. Sasuke took in the blank look on Naruto's face as he shoved a half eaten sandwich into his mouth without a care in the world, and charged Sasuke.
"I gotta Kunai!" Sasuke yelled as he saw the oncoming attack from his sleepwalking friend, and steadied himself for the attack, but the attack never came as Naruto fell to the ground and bolted for the back door in the kitchen while moving like a snake at high speeds.
Dumbfounded at what just happened Sasuke just stared at the now wide open back door to his house, and then back to the fridge. "I gotta get Kensei.. he might know what to do.." Sasuke mused aloud, as he took off out of his house to get Kensei.
Getting to Kensei and Hana's home, Sasuke stood in the back yard. Still a little unsure of how to wake Naruto's older brother up without being maimed in the process. Deciding on throwing small pebbles at the balcony window, Sasuke started tossing them. A few minutes later a very sleepy Kensei opened the back window slider door in a daze, just as Sasuke threw another pebble, causing the pebble to bounce off of Kensei's face.
"Who turned out the sun?" Kensei questioned still half asleep.
"Good your awake!" Sasuke yelled in a somewhat downplayed voice, causing Kensei to look over the rail to see Sasuke standing down below.
Climbing over the rail in attempts to meet the Uchiha boy who woke him up, Kensei struggled to get over the rail and ended up tumbling off of the rail and landing flat on his back with a sickening 'thud'
Getting over to the Uzumaki heir, Sasuke started explaining to now barely standing Kensei, who's eyes were about to completely close once more due to his lack of sleep. Not hearing what the boy in front of him was saying, Kensei rubbed his eyes in attempt to wake himself up a little more.
".. and usually I like to get eight hours of sleep, and god forbid if he woke Karin up someone would surly be dead by now! I tell you! Naruto is sleepwalking!" Sasuke finished a little too loud for Kensei's liking.
Yawning loudly in Sasuke's face, not really caring for what the Uchiha heir was worried about Kensei shrugged his shoulders but was quickly alerted as his back door that lead to the kitchen swung open, and revealed Naruto waltzing out with a good amount of food in his hands, and shoving it all in his mouth in one go before sleep walking away to wherever else his feet took him.
"What's he doing with all my food!" Kensei finally asked after seeing the sight of his little brother jacking his food from his house.
"Naruto is like a swarm of locust spreading to purge the village and all its good people of all its food!" Sasuke yelled, causing Kensei to go wide eyed.
"You know.. your starting to scare me.." Kensei said as he blinked a few times. "Lets tail him." Kensei suggested as he started walking towards where Naruto was last seen.
Naruto suddenly appears in Tsunade's house somehow, and sleep walks right up to Tsunade's sleeping form who was snoring ever so beautifully with a facial mask and cucumbers covering her eyes to reduce her nonexistent aging wrinkles, and grabs the cucumber slice covering her left eye in his zombified state and leans back at what would seem a very uncomfortable angle and throws the innocent cucumber slice into his mouth before stumbling out of Tsunade's bedroom.
Outside of Tsunade, and Shizune's house, Kensei and Sasuke poke their heads out from a corner of the house next to the back door.
"Where is he at now?" Sasuke ponders out loud.
"I think he's.. he's.. in the monsters den..." Kensei shivers uncontrollably, and was taken out of his terror by the sound of someone coming to the back door.
Bursting the door off of its hinges and creating a bigger hole than one person should be able to create, Naruto casually strolls out of the back door to Tsunade's home with her fully stocked fridge in hand while still in his sleep. "RAAAAAAAHHHHHH" Naruto announces as he resumes his march to wherever he so pleased, while he leaning back with his mouth opening to a monstrous inhuman width, and with both freezer, and refrigerator hinge's swinging open as he tilted backwards, let all of the fridges contents fall into his ginormous open mouth all while still walking to his next destination.
Moving away from the house while busting out laughing. "WHOOO HOOO HOO HOO!" Kensei cried tears of humor. "Man tell me I wasn't dreamin! Naruto scarfed the whole fridge! AHAHAHAHA!" Kensei howled while slapping his knee, before noticing Naruto was getting too far ahead of him and Sasuke.
"SHHHHH! We don't wanna wake anyone up..." Sasuke trembled remembering the last time Tsunade was woken up in the middle of the night in a not so pleasant manor. And took off to catch up with the troublesome Uzumaki brothers.
Finally catching up to the speedy sleep walking future Uzukage, the two found Naruto now at Tomo's house still sleeping while walking like a zombie to the fridge.
Covering his mouth before he started erupting into fits of giggles and full blown laughter Kensei, and Sasuke watched on as Naruto opened the fridge wide open.
Once the fridge was open Naruto instantly went for the full apple pie and shoving it clean in his mouth, pie tray and all and grabbed a full half gallon of milk moments later after the pie was shoved into his mouth.
"I hope to god Naruto doesn't wake up Tomo-sama.. This is not good!" Sasuke said in a very worried tone, scared of the biggest female threat of the village besides Tsunade.
"This is rich Sasuke!" Kensei laughed as he grabbed the back of Sasuke's night shirt and threw him back into a lawn chair recliner Tomo had in her back yard by Kensei. "Have a seat! Front row seats to the greatest show on earth!" Kensei announced as he magically pulled a bag of fully popped popcorn out from nowhere as he sat back in the other lawn chair recliner and poured some popcorn into his mouth, and munched on it loudly.
Looking back at the window to Tomo's kitchen, Sasuke sees that Naruto may be here a while. "Are you gonna share that?" Sasuke asked curiously with a smirk, deciding that maybe sitting back and watching Naruto stuff himself into the 500lb club wouldn't be such a bad show at all.
After watching Naruto silently for five minutes, Sasuke and Kensei were munching away on the popcorn and laughing ever so often at the sight of the now bloated Naruto who was still chowing down on all of Tomo's refrigerators contents.
"Haha! I can't figure out where he's putting it all!" Kensei laughed as he took his eyes off of his entertainment and looked at Sasuke.
"Maybe he has an inter dimensional black hole in the back of his mouth that is teleporting all of the food he shoves in there to a country to feed the weak and needy?" Sasuke suggested.
"... *SLAP* ..."
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" Sasuke howled as he was nursing his now reddened face from Kensei's slap.
"Sorry.. you were scarin me there for a second.. I act out when I'm scared.." Kensei shrugged, before looking back into his mom's kitchen. "HE'S GONE!" Kensei yelled as he saw the now empty fridge that's door was swinging carelessly open after being abandoned.
"He's hoppin the fence!" Sasuke announced with his Sharingan activated, and pointing to the other side of the back yard. At the very bloated Naruto who was still passed out trying to wiggle his way over the fence with the food he snagged from Tomo's house.
'THUD' Kensei and Sasuke sweat dropped at the sound after seeing Naruto disappear from the top of the fence and falling to the ground.
Running over to the fence and hopping on top of it, the two noticed Naruto was no where to be found.
"How can he be so big and quick!" Kensei yelled.
"I can't find his chakra signature." Sasuke said as he looked around the compound with his doujutsu still activated.
After twenty minutes of searching for Naruto, the two ended up in front of Kensei's house.
"I don't understand how he could just disappear like that.." Kensei trailed off as he yawned loudly.
Rubbing his tired eyes from lack of sleep, Sasuke just looked at Kensei blankly.
"We could always get Karin, and have her sense out his signature." Kensei stated, causing a nasty shiver to race down Sasuke's spine.
"I'd.. rather not. Let's just figure this out in the morning.. he couldn't of gotten that far..." Sasuke replied after controlling his shivering.
"I guess so.. well I'm hitting the sack. Night." Kensei announced as he walked to the front of his house and leaving Sasuke outside by himself.
"Yeah.. Night.." Sasuke grumbled as he turned away from Kensei's house, and making his way to his and Karin's home for the rest of the night.
The Next Morning
Slowly opening her blurry eyes at 8:00am on the dot, Hinata slowly closed them again thinking getting another hour of sleep wouldn't be such a bad idea. Rolling over to face Naruto who seemed to be still next to her, Hinata moved one of her arms over to rest it on top of Naruto's chest like she usually did when they slept.
Once her arm found what it was searching for, Hinata pulled her arm back in question as what she felt in her tired state something that seemed.. squishy? and far too large to be her Naruto..
Opening her eyes slowly Hinata found the sight of a very bloated and fat Naruto sleeping soundly next to her, snoring loudly with food still in his hands.
Bolting off of the bed in confusion at the sight of her future husband Hinata shrieked in terror.
"Ahhhhhh! What happened to you Naruto-kun!" Hinata screamed loud enough that she was sure she just woke up everyone else in the compound.
"Eh.. Five more minutes.. nata..-chan.." Naruto groaned in his sleep as he rolled over to face the wall, causing the food on top of him to fall onto his face. "WHAT THE HELL!" Naruto screamed as he finally woke up, and noticed his huge body and the food covering him. Looking over at his girlfriend who was wide eyed at the sight of him, Naruto was at a complete loss.
"We heard screaming whats wrong!" Tomo yelled as she bust threw Naruto and Hinata's bed room door, and stopped as she noticed the sight of Hinata bracing herself against their dresser, and a humongous Naruto most likely stuck on the bed.
"Naruto-kun.. why are you fat?" Tomo asked curiously.
"I.. I.. I.. don't know.." Naruto cried weakly, before hearing more people enter his house and bed room, all of which either started laughing or just standing there with wide eyes.
After losing the shock of what happened to Naruto, everyone looked over at Kensei and Sasuke who were rolling on the floor laughing at the sight of Naruto.
"Okay you two.. out with it.. what did you do to Naruto-kun." Tomo huffed with her hands on her hips.
"We.. haha.. didn't.. haha do.. haha.. anything.. ahahahaha!" Kensei howled as he slapped the floor as he continued laughing.
"Naruto... was.. sleep walking.. last night.." Sasuke finally managed to say in between his own laughing.
"Sleep.. walking?" Hinata quietly asked, not sure if she believe Naruto did such a thing. She didn't feel Naruto get up in the middle of the night..
Calming his laughing down a bit to explain, Kensei picked himself up off of the ground after getting a harsh glare from a pregnant Hana. "Okay so it was like this..." Kensei started explaining to everyone.
After finishing their accounts on what happened to Naruto, everyone just turned and looked at the bloated blimp still on his bed, who sheepishly apologized.
"Wow.." Jiraiya muttered in disbelief as he thought about what Kensei was telling everyone.
"How are we going to get him back to normal!" Hinata yelled out from within the room as she stared at Naruto's huge form.
"Uh.. guys.." Naruto tried getting their attention with wide eyes realizing something was going on with him, but nobody was listening to him. "GUYS!" Naruto yelled while waving his stubby arms around. "HELP ME OUTSIDE I THINK I'M GOING TO PUKE!"
Seeing where Naruto was trying to get at, everyone in the house left as fast as possible to get away from the now explosive boy.
"URG" Naruto groaned seeing everyone left him to himself, and tried to muster enough strength to body flicker himself to the farthest part of the southern forest he could get to.
Later that afternoon, it was decided that Naruto would be tied to the bed to prevent any occurrences such as the one that happened last night from ever happening again.
Konoha, Hokage Tower
It had been six months now since Jiraiya left the village in his search for Naruto. Ever since leaving the village, Hiruzen was left with a feeling in the pit of his stomach that told him his student would not be returning for a very long time.. with everything that has been going on in Konoha ever since Naruto and the others left, and now Jiraiya leaving once more. Hiruzen had very little to look forward to these days.
No longer would he be able to enjoy his office doors being blown open by a wild blonde haired boy, challenging him to become Hokage. No longer would he be able to sit back and go through the motions of his days with little worries on his mind. No. All he had now was stress and worry weighing down on his old aging body.
Sighing to himself to try and push away his depressing thoughts of the most recent past, Hiruzen picks up a scroll that an anbu had dropped off a few hours prior that the village received from an anbu spy detailing his most recent bits of information. Opening the scroll casually, Hiruzen starts reading threw the scroll only to have eyes widen in fear as he read further into the scroll.
Not even finishing the scrolls contents yet, he calls the closest anbu whom was outside of his office. "Bear! Summon the council immediately! Tell them to be there in five minutes. This is of the utmost urgency!"
"Hai Hokage-sama." The anbu responded quickly, leaving the office in a swirl of leaves to complete his orders.
Seeing his anbu leave the office, Hiruzen picked up the scroll once more. and picked up where he left off.. 'I pray to kami that this doesn't lead to what I think it will..' Hiruzen thought sadly as he continued reading on.
Five Minutes Later In The Council Room
"Thank you all for coming." Hiruzen opened the floor with. "I received word from one of our informants of some very disturbing news." Hiruzen let his words sink into every clan head and civilian that was on the villages council.
"Kumo. Has been attacked and partially destroyed." Hiruzen finished, getting gasps from many of the people from within the room.
"Who attack Kumo!?" A civilian yelled out instantly, above the others who were talking quietly amongst each other.
"Quiet everyone. Normally I wouldn't reveal a scroll like this to the council like this, especially with the civilian council here as well, but I think it is something that must be done. Our informant says in this scroll that three people infiltrated Kumo five days ago. And after the Raikage was treated for his wounds-"
"The Raikage was attacked too!" Someone else yelled out interrupting Hiruzen.
"Do not interrupt me again, or I will send the civilian council out for your incompetence. Do you understand?" Hiruzen glared at the civilian side, and getting nods in return.
"As I was saying. After the Raikage was treated he had an investigation started to search for whom had possibly done the attack. It wasn't until yesterday that our informant stumbled across some information that the Kumo shinobi had found. And that was that the three shinobi who attack Kumo all possessed; Long black hair, black eyes, wearing black hooded cloaks, and were wearing previous era shinobi armor. The three were all male, appearing from the ages 21 to 25 and were recalled to be extremely powerful." Hiruzen took a deep breath, and too gauge the looks on everyone's quiet faces.
"The three's motives behind the attack are still unknown at the moment, but prior to the destruction and the battle with the Raikage, a building was destroyed. Our informant was not able to get any information as to what the building held or what the building was for but Kumo believes the building was their primary target. After fleeing the village it is said in the scroll that the Raikage, and a group of 15 anbu caught up to the three males. One turned back to face the force while the others continued fleeing. It was during this time that the one shinobi battled with the Raikage, and destroyed a large part of the village. It is also noted that the battle did not last very long, and that the destruction was caused by an attack the intruder used, and not by the Raikage." Hiruzen finished.
"That's.. that's insane." Choza choked out.
"It is indeed troublesome.. Makes you think what was in that building before it was destroyed.." Shikaku wondered aloud.
"As much as it concerns me that another village was attacked, I hold no sympathy for Kumo after what they have done to my clan and family." Hiashi stated in a stern voice. Trying not to smile thinking that the bastard village got whats coming to them.
"Is there anything else that the scroll says Hokage-sama?" Tsume asked.
"There is a little bit more, but nothing that would help much but may cause problems.." Hiruzen replied, causing peoples curiosity to be peaked.
"Seeing how the Raikage got a good look at one of the intruders faces. He stated that the intruder looked like a member of the Senju Clan.." Hiruzen let his words sink in with that bit of information.
"The Senju Clan!? Surly they know that Tsunade is the only Senju still alive! There couldn't possibly be any more out there!" A civilian councilwoman proclaimed.
"Yes I know it seems like it, but we can never know for sure." Hiruzen answered. "The only other thing the scroll entails is that the three managed to escape after the village was hit. And no sign of where they came from, or where they went afterwards remains."
"It seems as if Kumo will being pointing fingers, seeking justice for what happened to them." Danzo added his thoughts.
"Yes, I am afraid so." Hiruzen answered. "And if they point the finger to us, I am afraid there is little we can do to calm Kumo down if they become hostile."
"Do not forget Hiruzen that their village is severely damaged, and weakened at the moment. They are in no shape to be throwing around threats of war on us. If they so much as think of blaming us, we should go to war with them and destroy them before things get out of hand." Danzo suggested.
"No. We will not go to war with anyone. We must figure out how this will all go. We will take measures to avoid war, not start it Danzo." Hiruzen shot back with a glare.
"So why tell us Hokage-sama? Surely you don't need our opinions on the matter, right?" Inoichi asked curiously.
"Normally no, but with the attack on Kumo. I fear we may be next on the list of possible villages attack. It could be from the three who invaded Kumo, or it could be Kumo themselves. I just wanted all of you to be aware that a threat is looming on the horizon for us, and to be prepared for whatever the outcome is. Kumo is not one to sit back and try to peacefully solve an issue at hand, so they are most likely to become hostile in their search for justice after what has been done to their home." Hiruzen answered.
"Has there still been no word as to where Uchiha-sama went, Hokage-sama?" A civilian councilman asked.
"No there has been nothing as far as where young Sasuke is." Hiruzen simply stated.
"We must find him, bring him back Hokage-sama! He is the last of his clan, and-" The same man started rambling off.
"I am aware of the Sasuke's position as the last Uchiha, and quite frankly at the moment with a possible war on our doorstep, we cannot waste any unnecessary resources on finding Sasuke Uchiha. We need to prepare, and defend our village to the best of our abilities." Hiruzen explained, getting everyone on the shinobi side to nod in agreement with him.
"We shall inform our clans to step up their training in case something arises." Hiashi explained.
"Thank you, you all are dismissed." Hiruzen sighed.
Back In Uzu
After everything calmed down in the Uzumaki Compound after this mornings 'events' everyone was sitting in the living room of Tomo's house after she called a "Family Meeting."
"Okay first of all I would like to ask everyone." Tomo stated. "Does Naruto sleep walk like that often?" Tomo questioned, getting a sweat drop from everyone who knows Naruto fairly well.
"Um. No Tomo-sama, Naruto-kun usually never wakes up in the middle of the night." Hinata answered as she looked at her thankfully once again normal boyfriend, who still looked a bit ill after throwing everything up violently in the forest for that past three hours.
"Yeah normally Naruto sleeps like a rock, doesn't move an inch." Kensei yawned, still tired from last nights occurrences.
"Okay.. well seeing how the compound has absolutely no food, I think it'd be best if we all go shopping. Perhaps get some locks for the kitchens?" Tomo suggested weakly, knowing that Naruto could probably rip the refrigerator's doors wide open if he really wanted to in his sleep.
"Eh.. okay Tomo-sama." Hana smiled thinking the same thing Tomo was at the moment.
"Not you too Hana-chan.. how many times do I have to tell you, and Hinata-chan to call me either just Tomo, or Kaa-san?!" Tomo whined.
"I.. apologize?" Hana chuckled, not knowing being called Tomo-sama was an issue.
Sighing for a moment Tomo looked at the two sannin's, and Shizune. Then Sasuke and Karin who were bickering with each other. "Okay everyone. I wanted to bring up something else besides just shopping with you all." Tomo said getting everyone's attention once more.
"Kensei-kun, as you may remember me telling you that our clan's allies may very well be still alive to this day." She said while looking at her son, and getting a nod from him in return. "Well I am putting together a way for us to reach them, tell them that Uzu is once again coming back to life, and that it is time for them to come home once again." Tomo smiled, seeing her son get the picture.
"What do you want us to do Kaa-san?" Naruto weakly asked.
"Well for you Naruto-kun, Hinata-chan, Sasuke-kun, and Karin-chan in particular I want you four to remain here in Uzu, and train for a little while longer before assisting Kensei-kun on getting the clan's allies back home." Tomo answered. "I've already talked it over with Tsunade, and Jiraiya-san. And they both have agreed to train you four as much as possible before giving me the go ahead on when they think you are ready to go look for them. Hinata-chan." Tomo looked over at her grandson's fiance.
"Yes Tomo-sa.. I mean Kaa-sama?" Hinata smiled after correcting herself.
Slapping herself in the forehead Tomo just chuckled at Hinata. "Close enough.. Anyways Hinata-chan. Tsunade, and Shizune both have told me that you are making great progress in your medical shinobi arts train. So I asked the two of them to continue teaching you as much as possible seeing how Tsunade has added you on as an apprentice of sorts to her." Hinata nodded her head after hearing this. "But not only will you be training with Tsunade and Shizune on the side to help in the hospital or on the field. I will be personally training you whenever possible." Tomo smiled.
"Really? I would love that Kaa-sama." Hinata smiled happily.
"Sasuke-kun. You, and Naruto-kun will be training with Jiraiya-san. We need to make sure that you all are ready to protect Uzu with everything you have in case something may happen." The boys nodded in agreement.
"Kensei-kun, I'll talk with you on the details later today." Tomo smiled. "Now off you go everyone."
"Come on you two, outside we are going to get a feel for each other." Jiraiya stated with a smile to Sasuke, and Naruto.
"I hope you didn't mean that the way it sounded.." Sasuke mumbled under his breath, and Naruto just groaned as he stumbled over to the front door still green in the face ready to hurt the moment his stomach feels funny.
"You two are coming with me, as usual." Tsunade motioned for Hinata, and Karin to follow her and Shizune to the hospital.
"Right." Karin nodded as she stood up, and followed the slug sannin.
"But.. what about Naruto-kun? Will he be okay?" Hinata asked with worry.
"He'll be fine Hinata-chan. I'll check on him later if it makes you feel better." Tomo smiled, to reassure her future grand daughter.
After everyone left the house, only Kensei, Hana, and Tomo remained.
"Well seeing how everyone is gone now mother, what is it you wanted to tell me?" Kensei asked curiously, as he held Hana's hand for support.
"I simply wanted to tell you where to find everyone. It won't be very easy Kensei-kun, but I know that you can do it." Tomo assured, but noticed the sad look in Hana's eyes.
"How long do you think he will be gone for?" Hana asked sadly.
"Well.. I don't know really Hana-chan. The other clan's are spread out over the elemental nations, so it's hard to say." Tomo stopped to take a sip of her tea that was in front of her at the table. "But don't worry yourself Hana-chan, I'll just have Kensei-kun head to the nearest clan first so he won't be gone very long."
Hana looked up, with a sad smile. "I know you are worried that Kensei-kun may get hurt, or may miss the baby being born. But I wont let either of those things happen. The nearest clan is in grass country so he won't be gone more than a few weeks." Tomo informed. "Now seeing how Tazuna-san, and his workers are starting on our village's "Kage Tower" I wanted to ask your opinions on a few things." Tomo asked the two young adults in front of her.
"What do you think about these flowers for the wedding!" Tomo asked with a cheery large smile on her face as she magically threw out a few wedding magazines on the coffee table, and spilling her tea in the process, and getting blank looks on Kensei and Hana's faces.
Shaking herself out of her shock, Hana looked over at the open pages, and smiled. "I think they are lovely." Hana smiled.
"Uh.. yeah.." Kensei mumbled.
"Good cuz, the girls, and I are going to be planning your wedding! As well as Naruto, and Hinata's wedding! But neither of them know that yet. So shush." Tomo announced in a cheerful tone.
"Thank you Kaa-san." Hana smiled while rubbing her large pregnant belly.
"Yeah. Thanks mom." Kensei nodded with a smile.
"Anything for my babies!" Tomo lurched forward hugging the two of them. "Now lets get some lunch before we finish up talking about your mission Kensei-kun." Tomo suggested happily.
At The Hospital
After getting to her office, Tsunade was sitting behind her desk with Hinata, and Karin sitting in front of her. With Shizune doing her rounds in the hospital.
"Okay you two, time to bring your training up a peg or two." Tsunade smirked, making the girls give her a funny look in confusion. "We need to get your already great chakra control even greater." Tsunade answered their unasked question.
"What is it we are needing such great chakra control for Tsunade-sensei?" Hinata asked curiously.
"Well two reasons Hinata. First you are always going to need a mastery of chakra control in the medical field, and two I have a plan for each other you to master a different jutsu that best suits you." Tsunade explained with a smile.
"Um.. Tsunade-sensei.. I'm not much of a fighter.." Karin trailed off as she adjusted her glasses.
Huffing after hearing Karin's lack of confidence in her fighting abilities. "First off Karin. We are getting you contacts. Your glasses will just be getting in your way when we are training, and also Tomo has personally asked me to make sure that you both are on par with what any Uzumaki woman was capable of in the past." Tsunade smirked wickedly, causing the two girls to shiver.
"W-what were they capable Tsunade-sensei?" Hinata stuttered.
"Simple. They had to be monstrously strong to not just beat their enemies, but cause their husbands to fear them in their own rights." Tsunade laughed. Hearing what Tsunade just said reminded Karin just how strong her mother was, and how terrified of her Karin's dad would get when she was pissed off.
Out in the Uzumaki Training Grounds
"Alright you two. I'd like you to.." Jiraiya trailed off and stopped as he saw Naruto, laying on the ground on his side groaning. "Naruto." Jiraiya tried to get the red heads attention, but to no avail his words were falling on deaf ears.
"I don't think Naruto will be doing much of anything today Jiraiya-sensei." Sasuke said with a smirk as he looked at his best friend who was obviously in pain at the moment.
"I.. guess so." Jiraiya mumbled as he walked over to Naruto, and picked him up and started to shake him. "Come on Naruto, snap out of it!"
"Nugah nugah nugah." Was the only sound coming out of Naruto as he was being shaken.
"Um.. Jiraiya-sensei.. that may not be such a good idea?" Sasuke suggested, but was ignored.
"Naruto! Come on! Time to-" Jiraiya stopped his shaking, as Naruto's cheeks swelled out and his face turned a sickening green color, and puked all over Jiraiya's face and clothes, and fell to the ground as soon as Jiraiya realized how stupid it was to shake him.
Sweat dropping at the scene, Sasuke scooted away from the two so he didn't gag himself.
"Okay.. that may of been a bad idea.." Jiraiya mused to himself starting to get grossed out after being puked on. "Stay here, and watch him. I need to go take a shower and change.." Jiraiya grumbled as he walked back to Tsunade's house to shower, and change.
About an hour later after finally getting the stench of stomach bile off of him. Jiraiya appeared back in the training field where he left Sasuke and Naruto a little bit ago, and was happy to see Naruto actually with a normal colored skin complexion after being sick all morning.
"Hey." Naruto stated with tired blood shot eyes, after noticing the toad sannin's appearance.
"What? No apology for puking all over me and my clothes?" Jiraiya accused.
"Huh? Yeeeah right.. your the one who shook me till I barfed. Dream on." Naruto scoffed turning his head away from him.
Narrowing his eyes at the long red haired teen, Sasuke broke Jiraiya out of his thoughts of pain upon the red head.
"Can we just get on with whatever it is your trying to do here? We could of already been training by now.." Sasuke said obviously already annoyed.
"Fine. Take these, put your chakra in them, and we will get started." Jiraiya instructed handing a piece of chakra paper to Sasuke, and one to Naruto.
Doing as instructed, Jiraiya watched Sasuke put some chakra into his paper. "Fire, and lightning. Not bad." Jiraiya mused, before looking at Naruto who was looking at the paper oddly still.
"Naruto? Why haven't you tried yours yet." Jiraiya asked some what annoyed.
"Oh. Because I have an affinity to all elements, I've known this for a while now." Naruto said flatly.
"Naruto.. I highly doubt you have.." Jiraiya started walking over to Naruto, just as Naruto put some chakra into the piece of paper. "Never mind..." Jiraiya sweat dropped after seeing the paper.
"Told ya." Naruto smirked triumphantly.
"Whatever." Sasuke rolled his eyes watching Naruto showing off.
"Well.. in that case. Why don't you guys take a look at these scrolls. Judging by what I've been told, and what I see as far as both of your affinities go.. I'm 100% certain that you guys are the heavy assault kinda guys. So these scrolls should be right up your ally." Jiraiya explained, as he handed a scroll to each boy.
"I'm going to be training you guys in how to wield some of these jutsu's, as well as the finer points of espionage." Jiraiya stated while striking a pose.
Opening his scroll and reading threw a few of the jutsu's that it contained, Naruto poked his head up from the top of it. "Don't wanna sound rude, or ungrateful.. but.. these all seem very low raked jutsu's."
"I agree. I already know half of these fire jutsu's, the rest are smaller, weaker jutsu's that you'd be lucky to use as a diversion so you could scream away like a little girl.." Sasuke commented, causing Jiraiya's pose to falter.
"Ungrateful little shits.." Jiraiya whispered under his breath. "While that may be true. Each jutsu has a purpose, that only when mastered can be used for different methods. Take an escape or diversion jutsu like you just mention Sasuke. Once mastered, one could use the jutsu while either putting a lot more chakra into it changing it from a well know fire diversion jutsu, to an all out attack jutsu causing an enemy to be taken by surprise while causing damage.. OR you could use one of the retreating type jutsu's that many will know all about, and fire a larger more powerful jutsu immediately afterwards causing your blinded enemy to be over run and either killed, or incapacitated." Jiraiya finished explaining in a huff.
"Um.. I never thought about it that way." Naruto said aloud after hearing the explanation.
"I guess I could learn all of them." Sasuke muttered while looking back down to the scroll.
"Don't worry yourselves over them too much. I have other scrolls I will be giving you guys to work on later after you are all done with these. Then we will get to the high ranking jutsu's." Jiraiya smiled, after seeing the two's heads pop up once more clearly still more interested in the extremely powerful jutsu's.
"Lets get started then." Naruto stated, diving back into his scroll he was given with Sasuke doing the same immediately afterwards.
'These boys ain't messing around.. This should be interesting. I wonder if they have a bath house here, so I could get some research for my next book, hmm' Jiraiya thought after changing from sensei mode to all out super pervert mode.
Later That Afternoon
After leaving his mother's house, Kensei dropped Hana off at the hospital to get a check up for the baby, and was told by Hana that he didn't have to wait around going crazy in the patients waiting area, and could go tell the others about his mission he was leaving on in the next couple days.
Making his way out of the hospital, Kensei body flickered himself back to the Uzumaki Compound training areas, where he last saw Naruto, and Sasuke being trained in. Spotting the two boys in the very back, Kensei made his way over to them.
"Hey. Nice to see your not all green, and sickly anymore." Kensei smirked as he finally got to Naruto.
"Yeah, feels nice to be even able to breathe without feeling like I'm going to puke up my large intestine." Naruto chuckled at his own misfortune of sickly pain.
"Hey well, I came over here to tell you mainly that I'm going to be leaving the village for a while by myself." Kensei explained.
"What? Why by yourself? Why can't I come with you at least." Naruto countered quickly.
"It doesn't really matter Naruto, Kaa-san already briefed me on what I need to do and where to go. It'll be better this way anyways. We can't have both of us wandering the elemental nations, leaving Uzu pretty much unprotected. I know with at least you here Uzu will be alright as long as another country doesn't come charging in here." Kensei smiled.
"I guess so."
"So what's the white haired moron teaching you guys?" Kensei asked while looking over at Jiraiya explaining to Sasuke something about his scroll.
"Mainly theories to espionage, and some jutsu's. Most are pretty weak and useless, but after hearing his many explanations on them, I can see why he's lived as long as he has." Naruto laughed. "He must be very familiar with these, cuz I get the feeling he's used them a lot to escape being killed at various points in his life." Naruto laughed even harder, getting Kensei to chuckle along with him.
"Well hopefully it's not a complete waste of time for ya. I promise once I get back we will get some real training in alright?" Kensei said with a smirk.
"We better." Naruto smirked.
"I'll even teach ya how to use a sword in our clan's style." Kensei teased, causing Naruto to drool slightly.
"Awwwwweesome.." Naruto said with stars in his eyes.
"So.. uh? Your gonna kick Jiraiya's ass seeing how he knows nothing about how we fight right?" Kensei asked in a slightly amused tone.
"You bet you sweet candy coated ass." Naruto laughed without restraint.
"Atta nugget. Well, I gotta run into the village and get my supplies for my trip. I think I may be gone no longer than a few weeks." Kensei explained as he turned around, and started walking away.
"And remember Kensei! The answer to your question is Spenser's Gifts! They do in fact carry fuzzy underwear!" Naruto yelled back to his brother as he was far enough away for him.
Reaching back into the compound, Naruto, Sasuke, and Jiraiya all heard Kensei's voice carry over them saying "Your gross!"
"Gotta love it when I get the upper hand on him." Naruto smirked, before all three of them at the training field started laughing hard.
Later That Night
Once the days events were over, and done with. Naruto and Hinata were both cleaning up their house, before getting ready to get some sleep for the night. After the house was straightened up, Naruto was thinking about all of the new things Jiraiya had put into his head, while Hinata was doing the same as she was getting into her night clothes.
Once the two were finally in bed for the night, the two finally relaxed in silence, and enjoyed each others body heat.
"Naruto-kun? What do you think the future will hold for us?" Hinata asked breaking the silence of their bedroom.
"The future? Well, I can easily say that I will be the Uzukage of the village." Naruto smiled. "But I can also say that we will be happily living here in Uzu for a very long time, watching over our grand kids as they learn the shinobi arts just like we have growing up."
"I hope so." Hinata responded quietly. "I just.. I don't know.. have this strange feeling that something is going to happen that will put us all in danger. I don't want to lose you or anyone else for that matter, Naruto."
"Hey, hey. It's alright Hinata-chan. I'll be right here no matter what." Naruto tried to cheer his girlfriend up.
"I know.." Hinata trailed off as she snuggled closer to Naruto.
"There's nothing to worry about. We will get a lot stronger, and the village will be much bigger before we know it. And then we can finally make our way to be able to live in peace." Naruto explained as he slowly closed his eyes, feeling Hinata nod her head next to him as a response.
After a few minutes of silence went by, Naruto spoke up again.
"I love you Hinata-chan." Naruto whispered into her ear.
Smiling in the darkness of her room, Hinata quickly responded. "I love you too Naruto-kun." Hinata said as she rolled her body over, and giving Naruto a soft loving kiss on the lips. "Get some rest my love."
"You too." Naruto smiled, as Hinata rolled back over into her comfortable spot next to Naruto.
Looking up at the ceiling of their bedroom after however long it had been since Hinata had fallen asleep, Naruto just smirked to himself thinking about what he thinks the future will bring for him, and Hinata, as well as everyone else in Uzu before slowly letting his heavy eye lids drop down and stay closed once he gave up the fight on keeping himself awake to his thoughts. But the last thing on his mind was stuck on was his brother Kensei, hoping his brother the best of luck on his solo mission, that would take him away from his wife, and unborn child. 'Please let him return safely Kami-sama. We're going to need everyone in the future..'
(Authors Notes)
Well guys that is the last chapter before the four year time skip! I am very happy with how this turned out, and like I said in the previous chapter update that the first part of the story was attached to it, but decided I could build more off of it as a whole chapter. Rather than just a small section of one. Anyways I have a lot of good stuff already started for the time skip era, and I am sure you all will love it, laugh your asses off, maybe even snort some pepper? Who knows!? Well.. except me.. I know all my simple minded minions! Anyways.. my personal insanity aside, there are a lot of good stuff to come, and things will be getting good right off the bat so I hope you are ready! I'd also like to say I can finally bring in the real Naru/Hina moments if you catch my drift on that, and will be running wild with it. Whatever that means.. So stay tuned as always you guys, leave a review and I'll see you on the next chapter to come!
