Chapter 21: Shawn's friend
Shawn's P.O.V.
It was barely 1 in the morning when I received a call from a friend. During the call, my friend decided to visit me to see how I was doing. I tried to persuade her that I was doing just fine, but became stubborn and would come to my house in an hour, but still, what kind of person would go to someone's house in 2:00 in the morning. As of today, I tidied the house, removed all the skull mantels in the kitchen, the spoiled meat in remora's, death's, and solora's room. So far, the house is as good as new, except for a few complications. I have to hide all three aliens somewhere so my friend won't freak out and call the cops, which suddenly, realizing that my other friend freaked out, but didn't call the cops, strange.
I gathered them into the living room, explaining the current situation. "Why can't we just kill your friend", death suggested plainly. "Because before you kill her, I will kill you, understand", I threatened. "So why can't you just say your busy", solora suggested dryly. "Because my friend is stubborn", I answered. "Can't you just say you're at a vacation", remora suggested, resting upside down on the couch. "Because my friend can trace the call, apparently", I said disappointingly. "Why say friend, why", solora asked. "What do you mean", I asked. "You seem a bit secretive about this "friend", solora stated. "Might I ask why", she demanded.
"No reason, just want to give a heads up", I stated. Why is solora being persistent about knowing who my friend was. Before I could think any further, there was a sudden knock at the door. "Everyone, hide!", I said quietly. Each one of them ran like hell, trying to find a spot to hide before disappearing. As I walked towards the door, I thought of my...friend. "I hope things go as planned for me, besides, we were...nevermind", I thought before opening the door. In front of me was a girl, no more around my age, long silver frilly hair, white skin, ocean blue eyes, a small nose, and finally, she was short.
"Hello Samantha", I greeted plainly. "Hello Shawn", she greeted back, plain as always. We both walked to the living room before taking a seat. "So tell me, how is your summer", she asked. "It's been fine as ever", I lied, it's been crazy. "Anything new, beside our situation back at school", she asked. "No, nothing new", I lied, again. "Have you had any friends come over during the summer", she asked. "No, though a few did stay for a while", I half-lied about it. "That seems to be all the questions so far", she stated. "However, one more thing". "And what would that be", I asked curiously.
She looked at me straight in the eyes before saying," Attack hug". She tackled me off the couch before hugging me. "I missed you shawn", she said happily, muffled by my shirt. "Same here", I said before getting up and sitting back down. "Do you still act like a cat", she asked. "I never acted like a cat", I denied. "Why would I even act like one". "I don't know, maybe because of this", she said before scratching behind my neck. In an instant, I started purring like a cat. "See, what did I tell you", she said, still scratching my neck. She then proceeded to scratch underneath my jaw. "I want to stop this, but I can't", I said, feeling carefree.
"I still don't know what happened to us", she said. "What do you mean", I asked, lying down on my back. "You know, back when we were...", she said, but interrupted by a sudden crash in the kitchen. "Did you hear that", she exclaimed before pulling out a taser from her pocket. "It was probably some pans falling off and would you stop spinning that taser", I warned her as she made her way into the kitchen. I was by her side as she scoped the area thoroughly. "I guess you were right about the pans", she said, pointing towards a couple of pans scattered on the floor. I shrugged before looking through the fridge for something. "Shawn, what are you looking at", she said as he walked closer.
Before she could react, I sprayed her entire face with whip cream. She gasped suddenly when I did this, only to pull me close and spread all the cream from her face, to mine. "Don't wipe your face on me, yours is covered in cream", I protested. "Your fault you put it on my face", she said before wiping it away. We both pulled ourselves together before turning around, only to face a certain predalien. I looked at Samantha, who showed pure shock, only to be replaced with determination. "Shawn, run, I'll take care of it", she urged before charging towards it, only to be held back by me. "Shawn, why aren't you running", she asked angrily. "The reason that I'm not running is because I know her", I stated disappointedly. "Wait, her", she asked in shock.
I walked her over to the couch before telling my tale. It took a while for her to recover, especially when she started to punch me repeatedly in the ribs. We both made our salutes before she left. I gave a sigh of relief as she left. I walked over to the couch to relax, only to see remora and solora, death no where to be seen. "Alright, what's the issue", I asked. "We expected to see a male, only it turned out to be a female, who so happens to be close to you", solora stated. "What did she mean by you were something, what was she about to say", remora asked in envy.
"Well...we were something back at school", I replied, feeling awkward. "Could you tell us what you two were back then", solora asked angrily. "Well...w-we were..", I mumbled silently. "Damn it shawn, just tell us who she was", remora asked in rage as she hissed at me. "Fine, she used to be my secret girlfriend, alright!", I shouted in annoyance.
Both females stayed silent, as if they were dead, but weren't. I would say the least that this might get ugly.
