Chapter 25

A/N- I'm actually really surprised that I'm writing chapter 25 already because looking at all the starts and stops of stories in my notebook, it's a miracle that I've got this far. So I'm thinking that FourTris should get married in a sequel and have kids in the sequel, making this a bit shorter. What do you guys think? I just don't want to make this story drag out too long. Thank you for the comments and your support and I do try to take in to account all your ideas. Anyway, on with the chapter…

Tris's POV

I stare at the open black box and then see how badly the hand holding it is shaking. Only then do I realise that I haven't actually said anything at all- he must be so nervous, thinking I'm about to reject him. I could never do that. It's like all my senses suddenly kicks in and my inner-girliness appears, making me squeal and shout excitedly, "yes, yes yes yes YES!" before he stands up, taking me into his arms, twirling me around. Happy tears spring to my eyes and he wipes them away before saying, "Are you actually gonna let me put it on you?" I chuckle and sniff before nodding and he slips the ring carefully onto my finger. I look into his eyes and suddenly we are attached, kissing each other passionately. I want to show him how much he means to me.

Time skip to the next morning!

After hearing the alarm go off, and realising we had to go to work, we finally managed to drag ourselves down to the cafeteria. Well, that was after Tobias rudely interrupted my sleep with water and feathers. Don't ask. All I'm going to say is the water still had chunks of ice in, so yeah, it was cold. Surrounded by our friends (well, everyone except Christina), I make the stupid mistake of reaching for my drink with my left hand. Unfortunately, the minimal light just happened to want to reflect of it, creating it to sparkle even more, making it more noticeable than it already was. "Woah! I didn't know you would do it so soon! I mean yeah, I knew you wouldn't chicken out but…" to bias glares at him and he shuts up, gulping down his drink to hide his nervousness. Will soon speaks up, "You do realise Christina will want to plan the whole wedding and will keep pestering you a—".

"What're you talking 'bout?" Christina asks chirpily and plonks down on the bench next to me. Zeke smirks before saying, with a quick glance in my direction, "We were just discussing Four and Tris's wedding arrangements. Oh, oh! Lightbulb moment! We can call it 'the Big FourTris Wedding.'" I roll my eyes at our ship name while he put his arm out, almost like painting his idea out in the air. "WHAT!?" I cover my ears, trying to protect them from the terrible shriek. I look around for any help but see all my friends also cowering away from her voice too. What great friends I have!

There's suddenly a death grip on my arm and I'm yanked up and out of the cafeteria by a steaming Christina. Oh, dear God! As soon as we get to her apartment, I'm dropped onto the couch with her standing intimidatingly over me. "How could you not tell me!?" She yells and I wince, opening my mouth to explain but I don't get the chance to before she starts to talk again. This time at a reasonable volume but talking so fast, I can only understand the minimal amount and that's only because I've spent so much time with her. "Why was the last one to find out? When were you going to tell me? How did he propose? When? Can I plan your wedding? Wait… aren't I supposed to be mad at you?" We look at each other, then burst out laughing before I was going to answer her questions and have to get to work on time.

"Okay, I'll answer all your questions but no interruptions! I'll answer any other questions at the end- woah! I sound like a teacher! Anyway, 1) you were going to be the first to know but you weren't at breakfast and Zeke saw the ring then made a huge fuss about it, then you came. 2) I was going to tell you at breakfast, like I said. 3) It was quite simple but perfect. He took us back to our apartment then suddenly he's on his knee saying he can't wait and asking me to marry him. To be honest, even though it was really simple, it really was perfect and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. 4) He proposed straight after we got back after he saved Natalia. 5) No matter what I say, you probably will anyway. But I don't want a huge wedding, we want it simple. Oh, and one question of my own… will you be my maid of honour?"

Silence. I look up and see the happiness in her eyes and a second later, the room is filled with shrieks. I wait on the couch for her to end her frankly awful happy dance. "Oh, my god! Yes! We have to get your dress- ooooooh! It should be black and grey, a mixture of—"

"Do you actually want to see my ring?" I interrupt her again and she nods, pulling my hand in front of her face, examining it. "It's so pretty!" she exclaims and I nod, agreeing with her full-heartedly. "Wait, let's just go over this one more time- you, Tris, abnegation transfer- are marrying big, almighty instructor Four." When she puts it that way… we both start jumping up and down and I do my own happy dance. Unfortunately, I don't hear the door open and don't notice the person behind me whose voice makes me stop.

"What're we being happy about?" Tobias. I giggle and jump into his arms, pecking his lips"You better not have drugged her or got her drunk! We still have to train initiates and it's like 8:15." He gives a warning glare to Christina who instantly replies, "Nope! She's just dunk in love." Then walks out singing drunk in love by Beyoncé. I sigh as Tobias starts laughing. "Well Mrs-soon-to-be-Eaton, surprisingly enough, we actually have to go to work!" He says cheerily and I groan.

"Way to ruin someone's happiness." I grumble and trudge out the door and I hear him run up before grabbing my hand and walking to the job of doom. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a tiny bit but it gets so boring!

When we got there, I found it slightly weird that Tobias got everyone's attention before we watched the fears. Normally we would just say the first name and they would come in and we would start. Christina and Uriah join him and I stand there looking like a lost puppy. "We will be cutting initiation a bit short because we have a wedding to plan which may be five months away but we want to start and let your two instructors enjoy life before everything gets hectic with babies and sick. So yeah, you'll have this afternoon off then stage three will be tomorrow where you will face all your fears consecutively." Christina says and I gasp along with the initiates. Obviously, when my hand goes to my mouth, that all see the ring and Ava stomps away in anger, as does Callum. Wow, they'd make a perfect couple!

"Congrats Six." Emma says, beaming. Well I'm glad someone's happy for us.

We get on with the morning, watching the fears repeat themselves but Tobias and I basically just sit in the corner the whole time. I'm glad we're shortening initiation because this is already getting tedious. How on earth did Tobias do it these previous years- alone? I groan when I realise this afternoon we will have to sort out all the rankings. Ugh! Wait no one gets cut after stage two, do they? That's slightly better...

Finally, it's time for lunch and Tobias tells me that he's got to go and do something, with a far-away look in his eye. I shrug it off and walk alone to the cafeteria. As soon as I get there, I get a few hellos then almost everyone asks me where Tobias is but I shrug and listen into their conversation, not joining in. After an hour, I walk into our apartment and watch TV, wondering how much longer Tobias will be. Suddenly the door bangs open and I jump up, twirling around whilst skilfully pulling a knife out of my combat boots. I sigh and relax when it's only Tobias and I slide the knife onto the table, taking off my shoes. I wonder why he hasn't come in yet and when I glance up, he's sweating profusely, trying to hold in tears and he's shaking violently. What the hell did he do?

"I can't do this anymore."

A/N~ huh? Was that another cliffhanger? Hee hee, oops! Who can't do what? The first person to get it right, the person and why, the next chapter is dedicated to you! Thank you for reading...
