No one did anything to the boy, yet that was all it took – no one supporting his lead, no one willing to sponsor him among the trainers. Two weeks, and he'd requested a summons back home from his father.
Fai doesn't imagine that this show of support is for his sake; even if they accept him as Leiyos' student, he is still 'the curse.'
The soldiers have sworn allegiance to the emperor, and Fai can only hate the royal family.
Someday soon, he will only be a potential prisoner to them.
