The Dark Moon:
The music in the club boomed throughout the building, The floors and walls vibrated as the guests danced all around. Lights flashed all around the club. People were dancing against each other. This music was a latin pop song. Anyone could practically smell the endorphins running through this place. Bex sat with Scott as she watched as Lydia and Stiles both entered the dance club and made their way over to the bar. Stiles briefly glanced her way before looking back to Lydia. He didn't want to draw attention to her; that would be the opposite of what they were trying to achieve here.
She saw Stiles and Lydia walk into the back with one of the Calavera's body guards. "They're in." She glanced over at Scott, who sat next to her.
Scott looked over at her. She had changed. A year ago, she would've been happily dancing on the floor, even if it was just to remain incognito. Now, all she wanted was to watch over Stiles and Lydia. He still didn't realize what she had done and what she hadn't forgiven herself for.
It had been months since that fateful day, since she killed someone. It was hard to process and she was still in the process of ignoring what happened, no matter how much that day ran through her mind. She took a human life. That wasn't easy to come back to. They were here for one reason and one reason only, to find Derek and bring him back to Beacon Hills. However, she had no doubt that these hunters wouldn't make it easy for them to achieve their goal.
"It's going to be okay." Scott said smiling weakly at her. He mistook her restlessness for fear. She wanted to be far away from these hunters as possible. They were the same people who came after her, tried to kill her. Being in their club with other hunters didn't soothe her nerves at all.
"It's not going well in there." Bex said as she noticed more security coming out onto the dance floor. Scott saw at least 3 more guys and another girl come out. They had walkie talkies. They knew they were there. "Why can it never be simple? Go in there, get Derek, get out. No, they have to make it difficult."
Scott smiled at her, glancing over to a security guard. "Come on." Bex followed as he snuck up behind him and knocked him flat on his ass. Scott stepped over him and grabbed the walkie talkie. "Stiles, take ten off the table." He said into the device.
Bex saw a couple guards take out their guns. She nudged Scott, who saw one and walked over. Bex walked onto the dance floor, watching as a young guy took out a gun, pointing it towards Kira. She caught his wrist, snapping it. The gun fell out of his hand, which she caught and hit him with the butt of the gun, knocking him out. Another guy behind her, grabbed her by the shoulder. She grabbed his arm and kneed him in the face, tossing him to the ground. "I was going to ask if you need help." Malia grinned as she walked up to her.
Malia was new to the pack and hadn't quite fit in yet, but she was trying her best. Kira and Scott came up to them and they hurried to make their way into the back, with Scott closing the door behind him. Kira walked in front of Bex, through the dark hallway. It was silent for a little while until they heard a faint hissing sound. "What is that?" She asked. Scott saw fog come out from in front of them and then above. He groaned
"It's wolfsbane! Wolfsbane! Kira, Kira, get out of here!" Scott coughed as the others fell to the floor. Bex's eyes watered over at the scent overwhelmed her. She vaguely heard the sound of Kira being knocked out.
They were steps and she glanced up see the head Calavera walk up to Scott. "Someone who has been an Alpha only a few months should be more careful with facing a hunter of 40 years."
"All we want…..is Derek." Scott panted as he lost his breath.
"My lobito," She cooed. "You're a long way from home."
Scott looked up at her, He realized it for the first time. "You don't know where he is either." His correct assumption angered her and she electrocuted him. A growl erupted from the back of his throat in pain and Bex felt a hit to her head before everything fell dark.
Lydia trailed behind Bex and Stiles as they followed Scott. They all knew they needed to discuss this. "Okay, so how long has it been?" Stiles asked as they walked into the vet's office. It had been weeks since any of them heard from Derek and now they were getting worried. At first, they thought that he had taken off for a few days to clear his head, but now that wasn't the case.
"Weeks. He hasn't gotten back to any of my texts." Scott told them as they surrounded the table.
"Mine, either. I've been calling him and he always returns the call." Derek would know from her calls that what she wanted to talk to him about was urgent.
Stiles glanced at her. He felt a pain of jealousy that she wanted to talk to Derek, but wouldn't even tell him what was going on with her., "Has Derek ever returned your texts or calls?"
"Yes, at least once. Definitely once." Scott told him as he pulled a jar out of the cupboard. "But this time it felt different so Bex and I went over to the loft. The alarm was on. Everything looked okay, but we found these." He opened it up pushing it towards Stiles reached inside and took out a bullet with a skull on it.
"I sent Deaton a picture and he said that it's the mark of a family of hunters based out of Mexico, The Calaveras." Scott said.
"Raina and I were attacked by some guys looking for Derek." Bex revealed. Scott and Stiles knew that already. After the incident, her mother took her away for a few days to adjust. "They were Mexican."
"What would they want with Derek?" Lydia questioned. She eyed Bex. She knew her well enough to know that she was keeping information from her.
"You don't think they killed him, do you?" Stiles asked nervously.
Scott hesitated. "I-I don't know." He admitted. The last thing he wanted for all of them to lose someone else. It hadn't been long since they lost Allison. They were all still grieving and they didn't want to lose Derek so soon either. He looked over at Lydia. "That's why you're here."
Scott pushed it towards her. "Concentrate, take your time." Bex encouraged her. She hesitated before nodding glancing into the jar. She took a few bullets out of there and held it in her hand. She played with them in her hand before closing her eyes. The banshee listened as she dropped the bullets. They landed on the phone and she heard bullets and a man yelling.
Bex walked over to her. "Lydia, is he dead?" She asked worried.
Lydia stared at the ground for a moment before looking up. "No, but I'm not sure he's alive either."
"What does that mean?" Scott asked.
"I don't know." She glanced up at him. "There's something wrong. I just….I don't know." She couldn't explain it, but it wasn't death that she was feeling, but something had changed with Derek. She knew that much.
"So if the Calaveras have him, how do we find them?" Stiles asked finally. There was no question on if they were going after them or not. They weren't going to leave him behind, especially with hunters who wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
Scott picked up the bullet. "Mexico."

"Bex! Bex, come on. Wake up." Her eyes fluttered open to the sound of Stiles' voice. He was holding her with her head in his lap. He looked relieved seeing her awake. She sat up straight, shaking. She looked around quickly, defensively. They were in some kind of room, locked in. Scott was still unconscious on the floor with Kira looking after him. "Hey, you're okay. You're okay." Stiles assured her as he climbed to his feet with her.
She felt his hand on her cheek. "I'm fine." She nodded looking around at her surroundings.
Stiles didn't look so convinced though. "I'm fine." She said firmly.
"No, you're not." He said quietly. Bex could deny anything was wrong to everyone. Scott and Lydia wouldn't believe her, but they would drop it; not Stiles, though. Stiles knew that something had happened. He knew something changed her. He hadn't seen her shift into a wolf in months, not even to help Malia, like Scott was. It was like she was afraid. She had made it a point not to be alone with him for too long, but he wanted her to talk to him.
He pulled away as they heard Kira announce Scott's awakening. They all hurried over to the Alpha's side. "Scott, you okay?" Stiles asked as Scott looked up at his friend, blinking.
Bex and Stiles both helped their friend sit up on the floor. "They don't have him. They don't have Derek." Scott blurted out quickly.
"We know, but right now, they've got Lydia." Kira told him, her brow furrowed in worry.
Scott looked over at Stiles. "Lydia? What do they want with Lydia?" He asked confused.
"My guess, something involving her banshee abilities." Bex told him as he got up and walked towards the door. He struggled to pull it open or find a way to push it open, but the Calaveras were thorough. They would want to make sure that they couldn't escape.
"We already looked for a way out." Kira told him as she glanced at the scratches on the door. "I think a lot of people have." She knew that it was probably where the hunters threw in whoever they had found.
"They're bound to come in again." Bex looked at the kitsune. "When they do, we try to get out, get Lydia and leave." Scott nodded in approval of the plan.
"I say when that door opens again, we take out whoever's standing in the way and run for it." Malia suggested leaning against the pool.
Kira looked over at the girl. "What about Lydia?"
"What about her?" Malia looked confused. Bex rolled her eyes. She didn't have time to be patient right now. She knew that the girl had spent years in the wild as a coyote, but they needed to work together to find Lydia. Stiles had better patience out of all of them.
"We're not leaving without her." Scott walked over towards them.
"Why not?" Malia asked, not understanding. She wasn't there with them, they would need to leave quickly and she would slow them down.
Stiles scratched his head walking over to her. "Because we don't leave without people." He explained to her. "Remember? We talked about this? The rules of the wild kingdom don't apply to friends."
Kira looked curious and surprised at her response. "Is that what you would do as a coyote, leave her for dead?"
"If she was weak and injured, yeah. If hunting had been bad that season, I would eat her, Then I'd leave."
Stiles shrugged. "Believe it or not, that's progress."
"We're not abandoning her. That is is not an option." Bex said firmly. That finished the conversation.
"Bex is right. We're not dead yet, either. That means Araya wants something." Scott figured looking around a his pack.
Kira looked over at the alpha. "But if the Calaveras don't know where Derek is, that means they didn't take him from the loft, right?"
"Maybe he left on his own." Stiles suggested standing next to Bex.
"Or someone else took him, someone worse than the Calaveras." Bex knew that none of them wanted to think that Derek was in worse hands than them, but they had to face the truth; the odds didn't look good for Derek.
The door opened and three hunters came at them. Bex barely moved when he was shocked with the electrical prod. She yelled in pain. "Bex!" Stiles pushed his way towards her, but he was cut off by another guy who shoved him away as she and Scott were both dragged off, Kira behind them. She vaguely heard their names being called by Stiles.
The odds certainly didn't look good for any of them.
