A/N: Who doesn't love Chika and Satoshi? LOL. That cat was vicious, and can you imagine when it grows up into a full size cat? Chika might want to consider moving in with his cousin. Here is another request from Shortie87. If you have a request for a certain number to be put into a story, let me know by PM or review. Enjoy!

#32… Hang purses and belts on it – Haruhi came up with this when thinking about the twins. I guess if you can use it as a clothes line, you can use it to hang your accessories or whatnot.

#51… Stick to stir laundry when washing by hand – this is another Haruhi one. She said when the clothes are soaking you have to keep them moving in the hot water, so you need a stick or paddle. A shinai will also work.

#71… Curtain rod – if your rod has broken or you are missing one, you can use a shinai.

It finally happened one day during Haruhi's third year of high school, or so the twins believed, their best friend and the only female host to be a member of the Ouran High School Host Club had completely lost it. They had shown up at her apartment unannounced in order to coerce her to go shopping with them because they believed she was in sore need of a new wardrobe (dear reader, her closet was already overflowing with clothes thanks to their need to constantly update her wardrobe. She didn't see the need with getting new clothes every season when the other ones were still in great condition), and when she answered the door, the gasped horrified by her current state of dressed and pushed her inside slamming the door behind them lest anyone else see her clothes.

"What are you two doing? Let me go!" Haruhi grumbled at the twins' highhandedness.

"Haruhi, I can't believe you are wearing..." Hikaru was at a loss for words and turned to his brother, who always seemed to have a better grasp of language skills.

Just as horrified, Kaoru could only say, "That…!"

"That?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow and giving them a look that clearly stated she thought they had finally completely lost it.

"Those rags!" Kaoru spit out.

Rolling her eyes, she told them, "For your information, I am in the middle of cleaning and my washing machine broke this morning. I refuse to wear anything nice when I am in the middle of spring cleaning. It would just get ruined!"

"Let it get ruined!" The mirror images snapped.

"Why?"

Hikaru pinched the bridge of his nose and calmly said (dear reader, it wasn't really calm, but it was better than an outburst… which for Hikaru was probably calm), "If it gets messed up, you can always buy something new."

"What? NO WAY! That is a waste of money… and time," Haruhi countered.

They could see she would not bend to their will and would probably never see things their way. There was only one option… they had to go into her closet and pick out an outfit themselves and then force her into it. They would choose wisely though. Something light and airy that wasn't too fancy… the perfect cleaning outfit. With renewed vigor, they rushed into her room and dove into her closet before she could stop them. And that is when they saw it. There hanging against the back of her closet was a shinai, but stuff was hanging on it.

"Haruhi, why do you have your purses on a shinai?" Kaoru asked bewildered with their latest find.

"It keeps them out of the way," she called in from the kitchen. She knew they were going to do what they wanted anyway, and it was sometimes easier to let them do what they wanted temporarily than it was to try and prevent them from entering her bedroom.

"But why a shinai?" Hikaru iterated the important part of his brother's question.

"Why not? I had one and I had already told Satoshi that it would work for something like that. Instead of just using logic, I decided to try and see if it really worked, and it does."

"But it's an ugly bamboo stick!" The twins yelled simultaneously.

"Oh please. It is at the back of the closet. No one will see it except maybe you. Besides, I thought you would be proud of the fact they aren't just thrown into my closet or sitting on the floor."

Hikaru and Kaoru had to concede that point, but it was still a shinai… holding her purses… and were those belts at the handle of the bamboo sword? Face palming, they each took a deep breath and decided to let it go. There was no hope for it… at least in this case, and she was right, they were off the floor and actually somewhat organized, which was an improvement in their minds. They would drop it and let her have her purse/belt hanging shinai.

After picking the perfect outfit for her, they came out with every intention of forcing her into said outfit and both of them ground to a halt when they saw what she was doing. One the floor was a large metal tub and Haruhi was standing over it stirring whatever the contents were with a… No that couldn't be right. Rubbing their eyes, the twins peered at their friend again and sure enough, their eyes had not been deceiving them. Haruhi was stirring the pot with a shinai. A SHINAI! They knew Satoshi wrote that stupid list of different uses for a shinai, but they couldn't believe she would take him at his word. It was supposed to be a joke… a fake list… wasn't it?

Glancing at his brother, Hikaru could see Kaoru was just as dumbfounded as him. He turned back towards his friend and asked her, "Haruhi, what are you doing?"

"Laundry."

Hikaru opened his mouth and shut it with a snap. Seeing his brother's crisis, Kaoru asked, "Laundry? With a shinai?"

"I told you my washing machine broke this morning. I had other things to do, so I didn't want to go to the laundromat. That thing is four blocks away and that is too far to carry as much laundry as I had. This way I can do it at home and put it on the laundry pole outside. While that dries, I can do my other chores."

The twins looked at each other again and then back to Haruhi. Together with raised voices, they questioned her, "But a shinai? Why can't you just wait for the machine to be fixed or go do it at Mori-senpai's house?"

"Takashi is camping with his father and brother this weekend, and I'm not going to bother them with my laundry. I have done it by hand before and it's no big deal."

"No big… deal?" Their heads tilted to the side in confusion. Shaking their heads, they wondered if she could be reasoned with.

"Will you two either leave or go in the living room and let me finish this? I'm almost done," Haruhi demanded.

Seeing his brother opening his mouth to argue, Kaoru pulled Hikaru into the living room and said, "Yah, no problem." Once in the other room, he whispered, "Let her finish laundry and then we will get her into the other clothes."

Hikaru nodded his agreement and then happened to look up… and deadpanned, "How many shinais does she have?"

"What do you mean?"

Unable to say anything else, the older twin pointed towards the curtain. Hanging above the window, a curtain was attached to, not a curtain rod, but another shinai. "She is turning into that kendo loving, head bashing, little brother of Mori-senpai. She is becoming shinai crazy!"

This was too much. She had used a shinai in the past to fix her laundry poll in order to hang her laundry, she had used one for her purses, used one for laundry, and now… a curtain rod? It was too much to bear. They had to do something to rescue her. Without thinking, they ran into the kitchen, grabbed their friend, and ran out the door. This was an emergency intercession!

"What the hell are you two doing?" Haruhi demanded.

"Rescuing you! We won't let you become him!" The twins cried out together as they shoved her into their limo.

"Become who?"

"Satoshi!" Hikaru announced.

Nodding his agreement, Kaoru concurred, "That's right. We know he uses a shinai for just about everything, but we can't let you become him. You might be marrying into the family, but you don't have to become obsessed like they are!"

Haruhi wasn't seen or heard from until the next day. Walking into her apartment, she threw down twenty new bags of clothes and accessories, "Those damn twins."

"Really Haruhi. Such language for a lady," Ranka stood there with a cup of tea in his hands. Putting it down, he ran to her and pulled her into his embrace, "What did your friends do to you this time? What fabulous outfits did you get?"

"Dad! Stop it!" She tried to push him away, but knew it was useless. It was best to let it run its course.

"By the way, Kyoya was so kind and sent someone over to fix the washing machine. Wasn't that wonderful of him?"

"Yah, great…" she muttered. What was this going to cost her? Glancing down at the floor, she noticed all the bags… she had already paid for it tenfold! At least now she wouldn't have to worry about the twins coming over to mock her or freak out because she was using a shinai for laundry, but it really was a handy tool to have around the house.
