Pewds POV

I went back to staring at Cry's face until he said, "You're staring." Without thinking, I replied, "Because you're handsome."

Cry POV

'Because you're handsome.' The words echoed in my head and made me feel weird... I was blushing from the statement, and this time Pewds really could see it.

I averted my eyes from his and turned to stare at the wall. I frowned. My roommate, Felix, was the 2nd person in my group of friends to see my face. And we've only been friends for around 20 days. Wow.

Pewds POV

Cry looked away from me and I felt sad inside. I wanted to keep staring into his beautiful blue eyes. My eyes trailed down from his eyes and to his nose. Slowly, I took in all of the features of his face. I became confused when I saw a scar running down his face starting above his right eye. Soon, I noticed all the scars on his beautiful face of his.

There were 4 of them lingering on his face. One laid diagonally above his right eye down to his right cheek. Another was in the shape of an 'x', one side smaller than the other, and on his lower left cheek. I found another from about his right side of his lip and come down onto his neck and almost to his adam's apple. The last one was on his forehead, barely noticeable due to his hair covering it. It was just a small line going across his forehead.

"Cry..." He looked up at me. I wasn't sure if I should ask these questions or not... "You don't have to answer these questions if you don't want to but..."

Cry POV

I knew what he was going to ask. 'How did you get those scars' or 'Who did this to you'. I've heard it from many people before, and I got sick of it fast. That's why I wear this mask. Yes, people ask about it, but less people approach me because of it. They get scared or something.

Felix's next words surprised me. "Why do you hide your face? I don't see a reason to."

"You don't see a reason?" I almost laughed. "Look at me, Felix." I pointed to the scars in my face by memory, for I knew their exact spots. "Now tell me. Do you see a reason?"

"No." I stopped and my eyes widened. Either he is completely oblivious or he is trying to make me feel better about myself.

"I don't see a reason for you to hide your face. You may have some battlescars, Cry, but I see you as someone who is just trying to get through some things right now. See you later, Cry." I watched as Pewds got up slowly and left my room.

I burried my face into my pillow as soon as he left.
