Ritsu and Takano froze to see Haitani standing dumbly at the doorway. Haitian's fingers, numbed from shock, dropped the extra keys to the apartment on the ground. How did he get the key to this apartment? Perhaps the manager from the front desk gave it to him?

Ritsu looked back to Takano, who was currently glaring at Haitani, then to Haitani, who was trying to comprehend on what he was seeing, and made Ritsu wonder how they could get out of this mess without any bloodshed.

Please don't fight!

Haitian's eyes roamed over Ritsu's naked chest, seeing the hickeys that were still fresh from last night. "What…is the meaning of this?"

Takano widened his eyes instantly knowing what Haitani was seeing and quickly picked up a random shirt from the floor to cover Ritsu.

Haitani roared and moved forward with the intension of beating Takano to a pulp.

Ritsu quickly moved in front of Takano, his hands spread out to prevent Haitani from going either side of him. "Move Ritsu." Haitani growled.

Ritsu shook his head stubbornly. "Stop it Haitani, I don't want you to fight him!"

Haitani looked at Ritsu as if he was crazy. "How can I not!? He fucking touched you!"

"I let him!"

Haitian's head whipped back, his wild gaze studying Ritsu. "No, he tricked you. You think he won't hurt you like that other Marukawa but they're all the same! He would-"

Ritsu gashed his teeth. He could see how Haitani tried to come up with excuses for him, anything to help him believe that Ritsu was innocent in this. "Masamune isn't the same!"

Haitani ignored Ritsu, "Takano fight me once and for all, stop hiding behind Ritsu like a coward."

Ritsu turned to Takano with pleading eyes. "Masamune let me handle this please."

Takano hesitated, clearly struggling to hold himself back. He was tired of Haitani always getting in his way but if it meant causing trouble for Ritsu then he would control himself. "…Alright."

Ritsu sighed in relief.

"Enough of this, Ritsu move aside." Haitani grabbed Ritsu's arm to shove him away but Ritsu stood his ground. Takano had tensed as soon as Haitani touched Ritsu; it was now harder to hold himself back with Haitani touching what was his. Takano made a move to thrust Haitani away from Ritsu when Ritsu stopped him.

Haitani looked enraged now. Haitani grabbed Ritsu's other hand and tried to forcefully move Ritsu away.

"Stop it Haitani! I'm not moving!"

"You sick bastard!" Haitani yelled at Takano. "Stop hiding behind Ritsu and fight me like a man."

"Haitani, Takano has never hurt me. He wants no fight with us."

Haitani gritted his teeth. "Move Ritsu, no matter what you say this asshole touched you! You are mine, and I won't let a Marukawa take you away from me."

"Haitani p-" Haitani pulled at Ritsu's arm again trying to forcefully pull Ritsu away from Takano.

Ritsu nearly fell forward but quickly righted himself and stood his guard. He knew the minute he was out of the way these two men would surely kill each other.

"Ritsu move!" Haitani yelled at Ritsu, his tone now biting.

Ritsu only glared at Haitani. "No."

"Don't be fooled, this prick is only messing with you!"

"Would you stop it already? I told you Masamune is not like that!"

Haitani only tried harder. "Why do you care so much about this bastard? He's a Marukawa!"

"That doesn't matter to me!" Ritsu was getting pissed off now; Haitani couldn't get it through his head that he would fight for Takano. No more hiding, no more being afraid, he was going to stand tall next to Takano and stop this war once and for all with no fear.

"Why? Onodera's and Marukawa's don't mix! It's unnatural, why would you choose this bastard over your family?"

"Because I love him!"

Both Takano and Haitani froze.

Haitani shook his head hard, "Ritsu-"

Ritsu didn't let Haitani talk, "You told me if I fall in love with someone else then you would bless that, you wanted me happy right? I'm happy with Masamune."

Haitani let Ritsu's hands go. "No…not this way, Ritsu-"

"He's the one."

"Not a fucking Marukawa!"

"Haitani, there would be no more war; I'm talking to my father and if he refuses then it doesn't really matter since I'm going to take over soon and end it myself. There is nothing you could do to change my mind."

"What…What about everyone else?"

Ritsu smiled. "Actually I don't think they would be opposed to it as much." Ritsu remembered how Yukina was completely in love with Kisa and Hatori in love with Chiaki. He hoped that the problem between them could be resolved soon since he wanted them to support his decision too.

Haitani studied the two men in front of him. He must have seen something he hated because he gashed his teeth and shook his head. "Fine, if this is what you want then fine by me. Don't come crying to me when he breaks your heart." Haitani turned away and angrily walked out the door.

Ritsu sagged in relief. He didn't care that Haitani didn't really accept it yet but he was glad there was no fight.

"Ritsu…"

Ritsu turned to Takano to see his shocked eyes. Ritsu frowned, was he as surprised as he was? "What?"

Takano grinned. "What the hell do you mean what?" He grabbed Ritsu tightly in his arms, squeezing tightly. "I love you." Takano murmured.

Ritsu blushed; he knew he would never get used to this.

Takano shocked him further by leaning down close to kiss him gently. Takano's mouth was demanding, tongue dueling with his, seeking more.

Ritsu was blushing madly as Takano stopped the kiss, "You mean it? We're going to talk to your father?"

Ritsu nodded, "Should we…?" Ritsu asked uncertain, maybe Takano didn't want to face his father? He wanted Takano comfortable with this plan he suddenly came up with, if he wasn't ready then there was no need to hurry.

"Of course!" Takano grinned happily. "We could end it faster this way. Come on,"

Takano drew Ritsu to his room so that they could take a quick shower together and change into new clothes.

Takano grabbed Ritsu's head in his palms so that it was Takano's face Ritsu could only see. "Ready?"

Ritsu nodded with determination. Both men went out the door and greeted a new day.

-Kisa

The door was thrown open to a furious Haitani.

Kisa blinked, whoa, he looked pissed. "What the hell happened to you?" Kisa asked. Everyone in the room turned wondering what the commotion was about.

"Hey Haitani did you check the apartment?" Someone in the group called out.

"Yeah was Ritsu there?"

Haitani murmured something under his breath.

"Hey what happened?" Another guy asked.

Haitani looked at them, a glint of something sinister in his eyes. Kisa frowned in suspicion. What was he planning? Kisa looked at Chiaki who was sitting next to him on the dining table also frowning at Haitani. "I found Ritsu; he's in his apartment with Takano."

Everyone gaped. Kisa cursed, Haitani was doing this on purpose! The fucking bastard!

"Apparently they're roommates-" Haitani continued but everyone stopped listening to the rest; they all ran out the door.

Kisa cursed, Chiaki already got up to follow everyone else, Kisa glared at Haitani. "What the fuck are you doing?"

"What? They have a right to know-"

"Bullshit, just because Ritsu doesn't want to marry you doesn't mean you can go and ruin his future."

"Ruin his future? I'm trying to save him from that Marukawa."

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that shit."

Haitani laughed humorlessly, "And you're ok with this? With Takano?" Haitani spit out the name.

"Better him than you." Kisa murmured.

"Ha!?"

"I'm saying that just because you can't have him doesn't give you the right to ruin whoever he's with. You're cold hearted Haitani, selfish; you let this marriage blind you and as a result you lost Ritsu's friendship and trust."

Haitani clenched his fists but he knew better than to fight with Kisa. "Like I said-"

"Save it, I'm done hearing your complaints." Kisa left Haitani alone in the house. He hopped that the silence would show him the truth. But right now he had to hurry up before his men reached Ritsu and Takano.

-Yukina

Yukina jumped up from his slumber as the door was forced open. "Takano what the fuck-"

The three men blinked to see that Yukina was the only person in the room. "Where the hell is Takano!?"

"Oh, uh," Shit, shit, shit! Where the hell was Takano? Didn't he promise to return before everyone woke up? Yukina quickly got up from the bed to open the window.

Please tell me he's waiting…I'm dead. Yukina thought as he saw nothing outside.

They scowled, "Why the hell did you let him go!?"

Another of his men piped up, "Is it possible that he's at his apartment? That's the only logical place he could be at."

The other two men nodded. "Let's look there first."

"Let's get everyone then."

"No wait! He's not there!" Yukina tried to stop them but they didn't listen. Yukina scowled, he quickly got up and followed them.

-Takano & Ritsu

Takano and Ritsu were just coming out of their apartment complex when they saw two large groups heading their way. Marukawa was coming from the right and Onodera's was coming from the left.

"Takano!"

"Onodera!"

Both groups turned toward each other, clearly shocked that they were in the same street.

"Oh shit!" Takano murmured.

Ritsu turned behind him thinking of a way to escape. His heart accelerated making him shaky. He couldn't believe this was happening now! It reminded him of the first time they were caught.

"Let's go Ritsu." Takano urged. Ritsu nodded and took the road opposite of them.

"What the hell are you doing Ritsu!?" Ritsu's group called out to him.

"Takano stop!" Takano's group called out as well.

Both men didn't listen as they ran faster.

"Masamune, how are we going to lose them?" Ritsu was already losing his breath from running. They passed startled bystanders on the sidewalks and cars stopped to see a large group following the two boys.

Takano shrugged as he grabbed Ritsu's hand and pulled him in line with him. "Just keep running to Onodera Publishing. We can calm everyone there."

They crossed the street without looking either way.

There was a loud honk.

Ritsu and Takano turned their heads slightly to watch as the truck came closer to them,

They instantly knew that they wouldn't make it even if they were still running.

"Masamune!"

"Ritsu!"

The truck was too late to stop in time.
