AN: Here's the last section of the Comicon Arch. It's kinda short, but hopefully still good.
Chapter 25: Well That Was Exciting
Everyone froze at the sight of the twelve superheroes. Even Doom. It was deathly quiet as they all took in the scene.
The twelve heroes were frozen, posing just like they had been moments before when they were arguing with each other. No one dared to move as they took in the room that was definitely not the conference room in Stark tower.
Peter broke the ice first. "Well, this is awkward. I wasn't scheduled for my random teleportation into a strange room for another month!"
"Really, a joke right now?" Susan shook her head. It was no wonder her brother and Spider-Man got along so well.
Dr. Doom caught on then, calling his army to back off for a minute. "Well, isn't this a surprise. It's been a long time since I've seen you without your uniform Captain. And I'm sure it's not every day you let someone else take your suit out for a spin Tony." He smirked.
The heroes glanced around, finally noticing the odd end group of teens wearing their uniforms and apparently holding back Doom's army.
"Well, they seem to be doing a pretty fine job of warding you off without us, Doom." Steve said.
"That is what you would like to believe. However, they are cannot hold me off forever." He motioned his army forward again.
Clark braced himself. "Zatanna, I think now would be a good time to make friends with Scarlet Witch so that we can get the right powers back. I don't know how much longer we can hold them with powers we only somewhat can control. Plus these people probably would feel more comfortable if they weren't in our clothes." Then he dashed forward, punching robot after robot.
Diana turned to Thor then. "Will you join us in battle brother?"
"Verily! Let us do battle together!" He cried, charging into the fray.
"Right behind you Thor." Steve said. Soon most of the rest followed.
"I believe you are Scarlet Witch." Zatanna said as she approached her while simultaneously dodging flying robot parts.
"Yes. Are you the magician who summoned us?"
"Yeah, I apologize for that. My magic is cast in a different way than yours, so I accidentally called you all here when I mean to just establish a communication with you. I need your help reversing our powers."
Scarlet Witch smiled. "But of course, how can I help."
"Well first off, you need to know what exactly is going on. Until a few hours ago, I thought y'all were just comic book characters. Thus when I cast a spell for a disguise, I did not think it would affect your world. Now, however, I must deal with a cursed comic book my dad made. It called Doom's army when it was opened. Our resident idiot opened it and summoned him here. However, I don't have very much control over your powers, so I need you to cast the incantation for the reversal spell."
"So you do use incantations! Dr. Strange and I were unable to figure out what form of magic you used as our incantations did nothing. Anyway, what do I need to do?"
Zatanna smiled. "Ok, first you must concentrate on what you want to happen. Then repeat after me: srewop ruo trever."
Scarlet Witch closed her eyes, concentrating on returning the powers to the correct heroes. Then she said, "Srewop ruo trever." A wind howled through the basement, momentarily blinding everyone. When it finally died down, Everyone was back to normal.
"YAY! MY SUPERSPEED!" Bart yelled before zooming out the building and back in with a burrito.
"Looks like we're back to normal." Tony said through his iron man suit.
Victor stretched a bit. "Yup!"
"That's good and all, but why don't we go kick some robot butt?" Clark smiled.
Steve smiled as well. "I agree, let's go! Heroes, assemble!"
Tony flew past. "You just had to say it."
"What? It's a habit. At least I said heroes and not avengers."
Oliver pulled out some darts before turning to Bruce. "Bet I can hit more of them than you."
Bruce opened his mouth to retort, but was quickly interrupted. "Yeah, but I bet I take down more than both of you combined." Hawkeye jested, pulling an arrow out to fire.
"No fair! I don't have my bow with me!" Oliver pouted, before pulling a robot's head off with a neck snap.
"You snooze you lose, green bean." Bruce grinned, pulling baterings out of his always present utility belt.
"Mjolnir, how great of you to return! Now let us go into battle with honor and strength!" Thor roared, shorting many of the robots with lightning.
"You were always one for the dramatic." Diana said as she punched through a robots head.
"Aye, and you are still as straightforward as ever, Princess Diana."
Dinah and Black Widow were fighting back to back elsewhere. "You know, you're not too bad at this." Black Widow smirked.
"I got a lot of practice. Plus, you're not too shabby yourself."
Namor and A.C. seemed to be having a moment. "So you are the ruler of Atlantis?" A.C. asked.
"Yes, and you are the ruler of Atlantis?" Namor returned.
"Well, not yet."
"Come on, stop with the whole weird connection thing and fight!" Victor said, plowing through a mass of robots beside them.
"Oh shut it, tin can. I'm getting there!" A.C. yelled. Then he turned to Namor. "Shall we?"
He smiled. "We shall."
Tony pulled up alongside Victor. "So, they call you tin can too?"
"Yup. All the time. It's because of- What the?" Victor became frozen right there, unable to move his biomechanical limbs. Tony's suit shut down as well, as he fell to the ground beside him.
"What's going on Tony?" Victor asked.
"That would be MODOK. He's a technopath and I think he just got control of your limbs and my suit." He said swiftly. "We'll have to take him out to be able to move again. She-Hulk, Susan, Jean? Think y'all can help?" He called to the girls.
"Sure thing." She-hulk grinned before jumping up and slamming into MODOK. Jean held him still with her powers as Susan held off the AIM agents attempting to help MODOK.
"No, get off me you brute!" MODOK screamed, struggling to move his body.
"What did you just call me?" She-Hulk roared as she pounded even harder, breaking MODOK's equipment and leaving him knocked out cold. "There you go, Ironman. Now get off your butt and help us out!"
"I'm coming. I'm coming, sheesh!"
Bart blew through the army, throwing robot after robot into each other, laughing and cracking jokes as he went along.
Spider-Man was pretty much doing the exact same thing at a much slower pace. Trapping AIM agents in webbing and crushing robots beneath him. "Man it is good to be back!"
Bruce and the Black Panther were attempting to sneak up on Dr. Doom by traveling through the shadows. When they were close enough, they fired their best attacks at him. He turned, swiping the weapons out of the air before blasting them with his suit. "It is much too early for you to sneak up on me." He laughed.
"Really Doom? Then I guess I won't sneak up, I'll just punch!" Steve cried, connecting his fist with Doom's face. Doom stumbled backwards into a steel wall.
"I have to agree with Captain America. We'll just go out with a bang." Clark said as he drew his fist back and connected it with the other side of Doom's face, leaving a huge dent in his metal mask.
"Whew! That's some punch! It takes a lot to dent that kind of material." Steve said as they stood over the unconscious Doom.
At the fall of Dr. Doom, all of the robots stopped. The AIM agents appeared terrified by the fact that both MODOK and Dr. Doom were now unconscious, and so quickly surrendered to the heroes.
"Zatanna, how are we coming with the curse lifting spell?" Clark said as he turned towards them.
Lois, Chloe, and Felicity were setting up the magic circle of sand as the Scarlet Witch directed their movements. They quickly set a fire as Zatanna looked back at Clark. "It's ready, now where did the comic go?"
Bart zoomed up. "Here you go, please don't kill me." he said before zooming back behind Clark.
"Wimp." Lois chuckled.
Zatanna threw the comic book in the fire and started the Latin chant. Storm clouds filled the room as her eyes sparked blue then she said, "Esurc siht evomer!"
With that the comic turned to ash as Dr. Doom, MODOK and their army vanished in a bright light.
After a second Peter spoke up. "Well that was exciting."
Everyone laughed at that.
Zatanna spoke up then. "Thank you for all of your help, and I deeply apologize for the trouble my family and I have put you through today." She said, bowing at the Marvel heroes.
"Don't worry about it. Stuff like this happens all the time." Steve assured her as the rest affirmed him.
"I hate to fight and dash, but we really should be getting back to our world. I have to make sure the others haven't gotten lost in the dark dimension for good this time." Susan sighed.
"But! I just got to meet y'all!" Bart pouted.
"We'll see each other again, I'm sure." Jean said as she patted him on the head.
"Yeah and next time I'll see if you can bring Pietro down a peg. You know, Quicksilver?" Peter smirked.
"Yes, it would be good to see my brother humbled every now and again." Scarlet Witch laughed.
Bart grinned. "Sounds fun! I'll beat the socks off that kid any day!"
Tony caught Victor's attention. "If you ever need an update for those prosthetics, see if Zatanna can zap you to our dimension, I have a few ideas for some upgrades for ya." Victor nodded in thanks.
"Take care of Atlantis." Namor said solemnly.
"You too." A.C. grinned.
Steve walked up to Clark and put his hand on his shoulder. "You'll make a fine leader." Then he walked back to the group. "Now let's go before Doom wakes up!"
"Bye!" They yelled, waving at them as the group traveled through Scarlet Witch's portal.
When they were gone, Lois turned on Bart. "Now Bart, what have we told you about doing things without thinking?"
"You said I need to use my brain more often." He said, once again cowering behind Clark. "I wasn't the only one to mess up! Zatanna messed up the whole Comicon costume thing!" He desperately tried to turn Lois's anger onto someone else.
"She's not the one who called an entire army into the basement! Because of you I missed the sneak peak premier of Guardians of the Galaxy!"
"EEP!" Bart squeaked before dashing off to who knows where.
"I would hate to be him." Oliver muttered.
Bruce nodded. "For once I agree."
