I promised you guys about Christmas and I'll therefore give you this. I apologize if it won't be my best chapter, but I can only say it's because I work so much that my head feels tired as well as my body when I get home. Thank you for the constant support.
It was the night before Christmas and Christmas lights covered most of Arendelle. There was a big Christmas tree covered by golden lights at the town square and people ran around stressful to collect the last presents and whatever they needed to get for dinner and all.
Olaf had been inviting Elsa and Anna over for Christmas, as their relatives were gone or so far away that they couldn't afford to go to their places on the opposite side of the globe. He had also been inviting Sven and Kristoff over and as Sven seemed to have agreed to the idea, Kristoff had somehow managed to make Sven tell him that they'd not be able to attend and as Anna was told so, she instantly called him and asked him out.
"Why can't you come and join us for Christmas? If not for Olaf, for me then. You know you promised me that we'd spend more time together and this is the best chance we'll get"
"Anna, the thing is that me and Sven are doing something that we'll have to. Not by will, or not by free will at least. But I promise you'll have the greatest Christmas Eve ever anyways"
"How can it be that if you're not there with me?"
"Wait and see, Anna. Wait and see" Kristoff could hear Anna sigh in the other end and it sounded like a disappointing one as well.
If she only knew what's going to happen. She'll get herself such a surprise I doubt she'll forget for some time Kristoff thought to himself with a mischievous grin on his face. Sven nodded in a teasing way and Kristoff slapped his shoulder from the craziness from his friend.
"Did you get the presents wrapped in Sven?" Kristoff shouted towards his friend as he was packing some things Olaf had asked him as he had called him a bit later to make sure that he wasn't with Anna and even if it was a chance knowing Olaf was one big talker, he tried to trust him as much to tell what he and Sven actually had in mind for Christmas Eve. Olaf seemed to think it was a good idea as well and promised to not tell Anna and not even Elsa to make sure that there wouldn't be any chance of a little too much girl talk knowing that Anna and Elsa told each other almost everything.
"I think it was a really great idea you came up with, Kristoff. Even if it means Anna will sit by until we arrive and may be a bit disappointed knowing that Elsa and Olaf get their fluffy Christmas while she thinks she won't be as lucky" Kristoff shook his shoulders in defence of his idea. Even if Sven had praised it, he made a point that may seem a bit accusing.
"Well, that's the thing about surprises I guess" Sven nodded and then the guys continued to finish what they had in store for tomorrow and then decided to ride down to the town square to enjoy the fresh chilly air. It was a bit cold December, but that was still not as hard as normal. Only because the wind didn't make it feel like there was that cold, the wind was almost non-existent and it made it less chilly than you'd think when it was snowing. Most of the mouth people had prepared themselves for a snow free winter, but the last week, things had really turned around and now it was all covered in snow and made the Christmas just even more cosy for most people who had already completed all the Christmas shopping and the children seemed to enjoy themselves as two of the tallest hills outside the central was used for sleigh riding and snowball fighting and made the grown ups sure that they could get everything ready while the kids were out spending the day in the snow.
Meanwhile at Olaf's where they all started to decorate the tall tree standing in the middle of the living room, they listened to Christmas carols and as they finished, Elsa and Olaf dropped themselves onto the couch and snuggled up together and kissed each other softly and pressed their foreheads close. Elsa leaned over to Olaf's hear whispering.
"I love you so much Olaf. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you"
"It's the least I can do. I love you too much to let you celebrate this wonderful holiday all alone, Elsa" once again, they kissed and then Olaf noticed that Anna was just looking out of the window and wondering what Kristoff was doing at the moment. She got a peek of the great tree at the town square and pressed her head against the glass.
Olaf and Elsa then walked up on both her sides. Olaf and Elsa put one of their arms around each of Anna's shoulders and squeezed a bit to gain her attention. While Elsa had a more sad expression, Olaf couldn't help but looked away and smile mischievously knowing what was planned for her and all. It was hard for him not be able to calm her down and reassure her that Kristoff would attend them along with Sven, but this was a promise he intended to keep secret. It was only for one more day after all.
If only she knew what was in ahead of her, but I can't tell her anything Olaf thought to himself as he struggled to keep it within himself and he thought it'd do him good to get some fresh air to clear his mind.
The day was finally there! The day children world wide had been looking forward to all December long and as Olaf and the others woke up, he was the first one to really kick in the Christmas with turning on the radio to get some Christmas carols on and as he sang along, Elsa and Anna joined him and soon they sang with Olaf's parents as audience. When they finished their song, they were applauded and sat down to get some well needed breakfast as Anna had made Elsa promise to go out building a snowman with her while Olaf helped his parents with the rest of preparations.
They were out and grinned and started building the snowman after they had rolled around on the white covered ground making snow angels.
"This is great Elsa! I really think it's going to be a great Christmas. I mean, I'd have loved to have Kristoff here, but being with you guys is just as important as Kristoff" Anna then hugged Elsa and she gladly returned it shortly after she realized what was going on.
"I'm happy to hear you say so Anna. I know you're wishing for Kristoff to be here and I fully understand why you feel so and I'd liked for him to be here too, but there's not much for us to do except try to have such a good evening as possible. Especially for Olaf's parents, I mean all the hospitality they've been showing us, we'd be stupid not to appreciate all they've done for us" Anna nodded knowing that Elsa was right and they decided they'd build one more snowman so the first one could have some company over Christmas as Anna argued for a reason to build another one. Elsa didn't feel cold and therefore decided to go with her on that wish and they stayed out for another hour and then they got back, they both were a little exhausted from all the walking through the snow that had fallen like a big lair of cover on the grounds around Arendelle and the neighbourhood that Olaf's family lived in.
When they got inside, they were told that dinner would be ready within fifteen minutes and they should go and get themselves cleaned up and Elsa took a quick shower and dressed herself in a beautiful light blue shirt with snowflakes on it and with black blue pants and she had a hair one braid and she was as beautiful as she always had been known as in all time in college and high school.
Anna then took a shower and she dressed herself in a red shirt with green coloured snowflakes on it and black pants and her hair set up with pigtails as she usually did in school and looked cute and beautiful like she always had.
Dinner started and Mr Johansson had gotten the drinks on the table while Mrs Johansson had brought out the duck that they'd have with sauce and potatoes. Anna and Elsa looked at the food, then at each other and smiled widely at the lovely smelling food that made their mouths run in water just from the sight of the lovely food that they were determined to stuff themselves with within a few moments.
When they sat down, Elsa realized that there were two seats with dishes on that weren't seated.
"Olaf, don't you think you've placed too many dishes, you've tabled for 7, we're only 5"
"We expect guests that should arrive very soon" Elsa and Anna looked weird and clueless at each other. They sat and started eating and then they heard someone knocking the door and ringing the bell. Olaf looked cheerful at his parents and at Anna and Elsa.
"Anna, will you please go and open up?" Olaf asked knowing who it'd be and why it should be Anna. She looked a little confused at him, but then nodded his head towards the door; she stood up and went to open it. When she opened the door, she was so surprised that she squealed so loud that it could be heard all over the house and at the entrance, Kristoff stood with Sven caring a lot of presents. Anna slung herself onto Kristoff and embraced him hardly and kissing just as full of passion as possible. Kristoff gladly returned and when they broke off, he and Sven entered the house to get inside from the cold weather that had spread itself over the skies of Arendelle.
"Merry Christmas, feisty pants" Kristoff said before he handed over Anna two presents. One from him, and another one from Sven.
"Merry Christmas Kristoff. Have you been planning this all along?" Kristoff nodded with a huge grin on his face.
"We actually asked Olaf to keep it secret from both you and Elsa to make sure that no one would ruin the surprise expect that we needed to make sure of some arrangements" Anna slapped his shoulder, but then giggled and kissed him again. Next she turned attention towards Sven and hugged him.
"Merry Christmas to you too, Sven" Anna said as she hugged her boyfriends best friend who gladly returned the embrace.
"Merry Christmas to you as well, Anna. Now shall we go inside? I'm starving" Kristoff and Anna chuckled, as they took each other's hand and walked into the dining room to join Olaf and the others. They were met by warm and welcoming expressions. Olaf was the first one to stand and ran to hug Sven first. After they had greeted each other properly, he turned his attention towards Kristoff and hugged him too. Elsa came over next and greeted them the same way Olaf did as Olaf's parents also came over to get introduced to Kristoff who they had never met before and Sven who had been there a few times visiting Olaf when Kristoff spend his time with Anna.
After that, they put their gifts under the tree and joined the others for something to eat as they just got in time before everything was gone. The food just went straight down Sven's throat whom clearly enjoyed the meal fully as well as Kristoff whom tended to eat a bit slower.
Once dinner was over, it was over to the dessert and as Elsa and Anna especially stuffed them with chocolate, the others turned attention towards the other delicacies.
When their tummies were all full, they got ready to dance and sing around the tree that they did so for almost an hour before they felt they had sang all the Christmas songs there were to remember and most of them slummed into the coaches and the extra chairs Olaf's parents had been taking down from the attic to make sure that there'd be comfortable for all them to sit. Anna was the first one to sprint to the tree as she brought out a small present that she handed Kristoff with a small note that she told to read after he opened the present.
Kristoff wrapped out the small thing and inside was a beautiful framed picture of himself with Anna from the day Kristoff and Arendelle the college championship in ice hockey. Anna was holding her arms around his middle and Kristoff held his stick in one hand while his others was around Anna's waist to pull her close to him. Kristoff then turned to the note.
Dearest and beloved Kristoff
I know this is your destiny and I'm proud to be part of experience you going down your path. I love you so much and not only your handsome looks, but also the wonderful and caring personality you're possessing. Thank you for making me happy and for being there for me when I needed it the most. I know we'll be together even if you become a star and I know we're made for each.
Love, Anna.
Kristoff stood up and embraced her so hard that everyone thought Anna was going to break down and it clear that the tension said everything needed to be told.
"Thanks Anna. I love also you very much, thank you" Kristoff said as he let go of her as he kissed her and sat down again.
Nextly, Anna stood up and handed Elsa her present. Elsa looked at with big wonder and as she started to tear the wrapping apart, she was surprised to find a similar gift to the one she'd giving Kristoff. It was picture of the girls when they had been taking a selfie at the Arendelle summer festival and it top there was a small writing saying: My sisterly friend.
Elsa was on the verge of tears as she embraced Anna.
"Thank you, Anna. I love this present!" Nextly Olaf received some clothes he had been wishing for summer by his parents and Olaf was now giving Elsa her present after he had given Sven a reindeer figure in glass and Kristoff a game of air hockey that he had been playing sometimes with Olaf and Sven in the game hall in Arendelle.
Elsa looked at with great excitement and wrapped off the paper and saw that it was a special DVD that she asked if she could put into the DVD player and as she put it, she saw pictures of them together with Anna, Sven and Kristoff too in some pictures. She could conclude that Olaf had made her a cyber scrapbook. When they reached the final, a special text came up saying: Thank you for everything, lovely Elsa. Thank you for making my life so special and for everything. Love you.
Elsa embraced him with all her might and kissed him just so passionate as possible was as Kristoff walked over to hand over the last present. His present for Anna. She looked with awe at the present as he handed it over to her. She looked at it, then at Kristoff, then back at it and so on and so on until she finally started giving the paper full attention. Inside she a beautiful jewel necklace with a shining green stone formed as an A-letter. She looked at in amazement, as everyone seemed to find the present very beautiful. Kristoff looked curious at her, awaiting her reaction and hoping she'd like it. she then put it down and jumped so hard on him that she actually tackled him to the floor and kissed him so deeply that it was unmanaged by any other kisses in the history of man kind.
"Thank you Kristoff! I love it! It's beautiful! I can't understand! How did you even afford? I mean sure it must have been expensive and-" Kristoff shut her by pressing a finger to her lips. She looked away feeling stupid for babbling again. Kristoff took her head and turned her attention towards him and smiled sweetly at her.
"It's for me to know Anna, but don't worry. I have made sure I could afford it. Do you want me to help you put it on?" Anna nodded and took her hair up for him to put it on. When it had clicked, she looked down at it with the same awe as before. Kristoff smiled approving as Anna turned towards the others who looked just as amazed on her as Kristoff did.
"It's beautiful, dearie" Olaf's mother told her.
"It suits you so well, Anna" Sven agreed. Olaf nodded in agreement knowing he'd used the same words as Sven.
"You make it look so beautiful Anna!" Elsa added and as embraced Kristoff and the others, they started to enjoy themselves. Olaf's parents got into talk with Sven as Olaf and Elsa retreated to his room and Anna to her guest room with Kristoff.
She laid down on the bed with him, as she looked amazed on him and her new bracelet.
"Thank you Kristoff"
"It's okay, it was the least"
"I don't mean that. For the surprise and celebrate with me. I love you"
"I love you too Anna! Never ever doubt that" Anna nodded and then drifted off to sleep a little past midnight. Soon everyone turned in and Kristoff had fallen asleep along with Anna as Olaf
shared bed with Elsa and Sven had agreed to lie on the couch for the night while Olaf's parents left for their quarters. A lot was to be said for this holiday, but sure had been special. For all of them.
That's it for now. Merry Christmas, everyone! I decided to give you a longer chapter as an addition for the holiday. Hope to see some lovely reviews and give me inspiration to continue the story.
